This hotel property is definitely geared towards those with children. We had five children with us so it was perfect. We rented a cabana and were well taken care of. Drinks are delicious and Armando and Jorge with bar service were awesome. They made countless blue sprites for our grandsons. The entertainment staff made sure to keep everybody involved, who wanted to be involved. The sargassum was very thick but they tried to keep it cleaned up, but it was impossible as it just kept rolling in, June’s that time of year. Our room was always kept clean and fresh. Towels were never a problem and beach/pool chairs were never an issue. The restaurants served great food, particularly Viggo and Casa de Rose. Poolside food was delicious. One of the downsides was that air conditioning was not very prevalent all of the restaurants in common areas. The nightly entertainment was great in that room was air-conditioned. We had a great vacation here!

The reason why I gave a low review in some of the areas was because I fell at their lounge bar. Their floor mats had a lift on the side that I didn’t notice at night time when I got up to get a glass of water while I was watching the hockey game. I scraped both of my knees. One of my knees still hurt from that fall. They got my room number and gave me bandages. They did offer for medical assistant, but told me right away that I would have to pay for the bill on the medical assistance for my knee. No manager of the hotel follow up the following days while I was there to see how I was doing..

My recent stay at Sunscape Cancun exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, the entire experience was exceptional.
The food was fantastic with plenty of variety, great quality, and something for everyone. Every meal was enjoyable, whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick snack throughout the day.
The amenities were excellent and always well-maintained. There was never a shortage of activities, relaxation areas, or entertainment options to enjoy. The resort itself was clean, beautiful, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Manaaged to network and meet great peiple
My room was also outstanding—clean, comfortable, spacious, and well-kept throughout my stay. It provided the perfect place to relax after enjoying everything the resort had to offer.
Overall, I had an incredible time at Sunscape Cancun and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and stress-free vacation. As it is a family resort, youll hear children talking loud and just being kids whichbis expected

Great food and service staff, but the beach and front desk ruined it.
The Bad:
•The Beach: Completely unclean and looked nothing like the photos. We couldn't swim at all.
•Front Desk: Unprofessional. They deliberately give you a bad room to pressure you into a paid upgrade.
•The Pool: Just okay, but definitely needed better cleaning.
The Good:
•The Staff: Aside from the front desk, everyone else (room service, restaurant, and coffee shop teams) was polite, helpful, and very nice.
•Food & Drinks: Good quality.
•Spa: Okay experience.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a clean beach vacation.

My boyfriend & I stayed here June 1st-6th & we had the BEST time. Every single day we were there we always had people offering to help us & asked if we needed anything. I was very happy with the service & the room service was also top tier. 10/10 recommend staying here if you plan on going to an all inclusive resort!

Do Not Book. My husband, our three children, and myself checked into the Sunscape resort and our room wasn’t ready so we waited around, checking out the resort. We were given our room and the entire hallway reeked of fumes from paint or glue, but it was extremely strong. When we got into the room, it was even stronger. I started to get sick to my stomach and then developed a terrible headache. My husband spoke to their manager and they arranged for a room change. After the room change, the smell didn’t get much better, but the conditions of the room were disgusting. Paint was peeling and chipping. There were many bugs in the room and in the halls of the resort. The mini bar consisted of a bag of chips sitting on top of the mini fridge and water and beer inside the mini fridge. We took the children into the resort to swim and paint was peeling everywhere. The walls were dirty and the place was grungy. The conditions were not good and the waterslides were closed. The photos that represented the resort did not accurately portray the resort as is now. We went back to the manager and ask for a refund as we could not stay there. I was still feeling awful from the fumes and the conditions of the resort were not up to par for Hyatt resort, or even a motel six. We again ask for a refund, and the manager said that he contacted his boss and his boss denied us a refund. Unwilling to stay there, we left and booked elsewhere and lost $2500 to Sunscape.

We booked a travel package on Expedia and had already specified the child's age. To celebrate the junior high school graduation trip, the child wanted a room with swim up and were excited. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that under 18 years old could not stay in swim up room which adult only, she cried. Although the hotel later gave us a ocean-view suite, she was still unhappy. The hotel pushed the responsibility Expedia to allow us to book the adult only room.
The hotel doesn't offer many dining options. There are three dinner restaurants. One was booked for several days and not available during our stayed, another had good Italian food, and the 3rd one was outdoors, making the staff sweat profusely. For the buffet, we visited in the afternoon of the first day and the daily breakfast was just average. Instead, the poolside tacos and burgers were pretty good. The child preferred the nachos and the daily variety of ice cream and candies. For the beach, there are so many seagrass that you can't get into the water, and the pool is packed. Fortunately, there is a jacuzzi in our room. Although it took two repairs before it finally operated, it was still better than the outdoor pool. We also had the VIP access on the 6th floor to play pool and other activities, which was quieter and less crowded. There were also beach volleyball and Latin dance activities very good. On the last day, we watched the sunrise from the beach. Overall, the hotel staff were very polite.

I went with the kids and grandkids. Pools were great and fun. Adults had fun with the aquatic exercice and kids had fun with the kids club and kids pool with the slides. Buffet was excellent: lot of choices. Restaurants were great; we went early to get a table for twelve people. We had to wait 2 hours to get our food at asian restaurant for twelve people.Little bit too much time waiting with kids. The evening entertainements were great with the dance shows and magic show. The beach had those brown algae so we didn't swim much at the beach. But still, the beach view was magnificent.
The only thing, my daughter had requested a baby crib: she never saw it and she didn't insist to get one because she packed a travel crib: So it was not a problem. Overall, everyone loves 💕 the Sunscape and would like to come back.

We had an outstanding time with our two kids (20 months and 4.5years old). The property is wonderful and so are the people. Food is available throughout the resort with no wait times, same goes for beverages. Loungers were available at any time during the day as well. Beach is beautiful and wide, kids enjoyed playing in the sand. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way for us to make our experience even more fun. It was an incredible, relaxing vacation and we would go back in a heartbeat.

El personal del Hotel es excelente, muy profesionales y atentos, muy sincronizados, una limpieza extrema, pero a mi parecer no es un hotel de 5 estrellas pues su inmobiliaria está deteriorada. El baño de la habitación con losas rotas, la cama un lado cojo, el balcón los plásticos que tienen estaban descascarañados. El instructor de entrenamiento da lo mejor de sí para distraer al cliente, pero y después? No hay animación al resto de la tarde y la noche, no hay sala de juegos con mesas de billar, no programan fiestas ni ningún tipo de evento de distracción, es una pena porque tienen un personal valioso. Con relación al restaurante Italiano deben instruir mejor a los que cocinan en cuanto a la especialidad de las pastas, y al restaurant de las carnes que está al aire libre, nunca pude entrar y encontré excesivo los precios de las carnes que tienen para los clientes que querían reservar tenían que consumir lo que estaba en la tabla de oferta por ej: un tomajón 100usd, todo para poder hacer una reserva, así me lo explicó la joven de la entrada en dos ocasiones que fui. Si no hubiera sido por los empleados que se esmeran en atenciones, la estancia hubiera sido pésima.

We booked a room with ocean view, they gave us a corner room with partial/obstructed view. Front desk manager told us we had to book a \"beach front\" room to have a full view. That argument with front desk manager took 2 days back and forth, and ruined my experience. This was not clarified in the Travelocity web site. I just paid extra to get a room with ocean view, and the hotel didn't do his part.
Also, Pools were smaller than what i,ve seen in other hotels.
The hotel says \"all inclusive\" but you have to pay for room delivery service, and pool-side cabanas ($65/day). The beach have sea weeds so you can't swim (early June)
In Travelocity.com, it was noted as having 10 restaurants. There are only 6. When i asked front desk for the number of restaurants, they noted it as wrong information.
Beside those, other thing were good. Staff were super nice. Food quality, except for the Mexican restaurant and taco booth, were excellent. Restaurants are easily accessible without early booking. Public area/rest rooms were very clean. Perfect A/C. Thumbs up for the hard working personnel.

Our experience was amazing! This place exceeding our expectations! We have been to Cancun many times, and Sunscape is now our favorite resort! We were welcomed with kindness and respect immediately. The entire staff was smiling the entire time. I would like to personally thank Victor Chi, who seated us multiple times at the buffet restaurant. He went out of his way to talk to us, got to know us and also gave us a history lesson on the area, which we enjoyed! The best waiter we had was at the buffet restaurant, and his name was Fabian! He laughed so much with us, and he was very attentive with us. He made our daughter, who has disabilities, feel so comfortable and made her feel respected! I took my elderly parents and daughter here to celebrate multiple occasions, and it was worth every penny! We became the Asian family who has someone who speaks Spanish (me), and the staff loved to interact with me in Spanish, which helped me practice even more! The food was also delicious, the pools were clean and so relaxing, the rooms were very clean also! Thank you for helping to make our trip so memorable!

We didn’t get the room we paid for. Pool was very small. Some of the Restaurants were closed for a few nights. Food wasn’t that good. There’s entertainment only certain nights.
Music for 1-1/2 each night and wasn’t even good. You can only have 1 outdoor towel per person. We would never stay at the Sunscape again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone staying. It was expensive but not worth 1/2 of what we paid.

Hotel is good, with remarkably good food in the restaurants- breakfast especially great in Las Ventanas. All staff is excellent in their focus on service. The very clear downside for us was the presence of many (noisy) children and babies - but we should have checked. Premises could use some upkeep.

Food was excellent. Only real problem was the pool. It closes at 8:00 PM and there isn't a swim up bar. The property doesn't clean the sargassum (seaweed) off their beach. Plus they have a sign that says no swimming in the sea. So, swim at your own risk. Now back to the food. This is an true all inclusive resort. When you eat at any of the restaurants you can order more than one appetizer, entrée and dessert. The buffet was really good as well. I would rate this a sold 9 out of 10. Highly recommend this to anyone o e or any family.

I loved how friendly the staff is. Everything was so clean. Room service was excellent. Ricardo and Nestor did amazing drinks in the VIP room that made this experience better. I loved the activity when coco bongo staff came over to the pool side. My daughter’s loved the bracelet stand entertainment person was so kind and funny. I would say that I didn’t like was that the pools closed too early. Also the pina coladas tasted so disgusting when getting them from the bar down stairs.

It was a terrible experience for us.It is our fourth visit in Cancun and we had wonderful times.
Listing and rating did not match at all.Our room felt outdated and very uncomfortably maintained. We asked for different room/options and were told\"only if we pay for upgrade \"
Our room was junior suite oceanfront. The glass on balcony was old and scratched, the mirrors were moldy stained, shower and bathroom looked old and not maintained. It was a cold,unpleasant atmosphere everywhere. The staff was not caring and unpleasant overall.
We booked a different place and left 2 hours after arrival since hotel or Expedia left us with no other help.

food wasn’t good at all, rooms were ehh not really like the pictures, staff was ok they gave us a promotion of 50 usd and free stay at any of hyatts hotels for 3 days & 2 nights if we went to a “breakfast” at hyatts other hotels so we took up the offer. when we got there it was a 90
minute sales meeting to get us to join hyatts travel program the “breakfast” they were talking about was a open buffet with barely any food and at the end they only gave us the 50 usd until i complained that they wasted my time and lied to be about the promotion. wouldn’t go again.

Everything was great! Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping our room clean. Staff were always so friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and appreciated. We traveled with our 10 month old daughter and we had a great time overall . Food was great! We really loved Mediterranean and Italian restaurants. The only thing we wished for is more umbrellas at the beach, since there were so many beach chairs sitting under the sun and no one used them because it’s just way too hot under direct sunlight. Special thanks to server Paulina who was just so sweet and kind, and hostess Lucia who was so nice to us. Taco bar by the pool is great. Burgers were unexpectedly delicious. Coffee shop is open 24/7 which was so cool. Loved everything and wanted to thank everyone who works there!

This is my second stay at Sunscape and we had a lovely time. The property is in need of some updating, for example: the exposed sandbags used as steps down from the beach bar to the actual beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the spa service needs to chill out. We booked a massage upon check in but the resort has staff going around and coming up to you multiple times a day asking if you’d like to book a massage. It got extremely annoying. Other than those two things, we genuinely loved our time

The only thing I wish the hotel had was more pools, but overall everything was wonderful.
We truly had an excellent stay and would definitely come back again in the future.

I have reserved this property because of the review for my boyfriend’s birthday. However, this property is not deserve for that review ( over 9). Pool is so small and is not clean at all. Rooms also is not clean I have a pixie hair and my boyfriend is bold but all the time was few long hair at showers sticks on walls 😞and at the floor in restrooms. Overall was not good experience in my trip compare to previous hotel that I went. After booked and before traveling i spoke to Expedia agent to convert to another property , but person wasn’t helpful at all, so wasn’t good experience at all

Hotel run down, food was bad, drinks worse. We ate at the Italian restaurant everyday because it was the only restaurant edible. Too many kids, I’ve been to Cancun over 10x n this was the worst experience so far. Actually I’ve never had a poor experience until now. My husband and I felt catfished were all the amazing reviews. Obviously the reviews were “paid for and or staff”. Do yourself a happy favor and stay at the RUI, it’s 100x better and cheaper. I still haven’t figured that one out.

We had an amazing 4-night stay at this beautiful resort in Cancun! The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. The food was outstanding with plenty of delicious options every day.

What truly made our experience special was the incredible staff — everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our vacation. Their hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional.

Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cancun. We can’t wait to come back again!

I was initially skeptical after reading some reviews, but the resort exceeded expectations and is extremely family-friendly. The biggest highlight is the pool setup: one large main pool plus several smaller pools with fun slides for kids. Our child swam twice a day and loved every minute. There’s also a well-run kids club, though we barely used it because the pools were such a hit.

Food and drinks were another standout. The buffet offers excellent variety and consistently tasty food. The coffee shop serves great coffee and high-quality baked goods, and there’s even a candy and ice cream shop open throughout the day. In addition to the main buffet, the resort has Asian, Italian, and Mexican restaurants, all serving excellent and tasty dinners. They’re only open in the evening, but getting there around 6:30 pm avoids any wait.

The staff were consistently courteous, flexible, and eager to help. The resort also keeps guests entertained with volleyball, yoga, water aerobics, beach games, and excellent nightly shows including a magic show, which was very good!

The one thing that was a problem was that there was a lot of sea-weed in the beach waters but that is a problem for the whole Cancun coastline and affects all hotels and it doesn't seem like it can be humanly fixed. So if you love to swim in beach waters then I'd recommend going after September when the sea-weed subsides. Other than that the drinks are definitely watered down so ask for double shots :).

Comfortable beds and pillows, good choices for meals and snacks , clean resort and friendly staff. Entertainmental had good and ok . Drinks were cold and fresh. Mini fridge was stocked everyday. Fresh fruit at every restaurant was really good . Made to order omlettes in the morning was excellent, only dislike was removing needed lounge chairs by the pool on certain days . The lounge chairs are always full as it is and removing rows makes it worse. The coconut ice cream at cravings was some of the best tasting coconut ice cream have ever had. Rooms are quiet for the most part but the halls echo those few loud annoying guests who don't understand or don't care if they disturb anyone. I would stay here again
