The room was nice and right across the mall. The beach is clean. The ocean view is very limted even though we booked ocean view room. The floor plan is like a maze so easy to be lost.

We’ve stayed here twice now. This room way much better than the first, as it was ocean front. (Not ocean view-first was ocean view and we were on the side) The rooms are perfect! Staff is great! We like the sports bar best, Julio is wonderful waiter and the bartender was excellent! We like this location also, since you can walk across to the mall, restaurants, bars and the aquarium. The bus stop is close to go to Isla Mujeres ferry or anything else.

Ocean view from room, nice finishes, and good space. Big plus was the washer and dryer in the room. One negative was the balcony glass railing was very dirty and we couldn’t see our view sitting down on the balcony.

This is a beautiful resort with nice staff members and plenty to do and lots of relaxation.
We did a facial which was pricey but really nice.
Food is okay a bit pricey but it's a hotel and you pay hotel prices. We played tennis, beach volleyball and went on a 5 mile hike down the beach.
One thing to note, you do have to get up before dawn to get a prime seat by the pool, people are out claiming their spots at 6:00-7:00am, after that you will not get prime seating. I got up every day like plenty of other people to watch the sunrise. People come and go and no one takes your things away.
I won't be back but glad I got to experience it. The Isla mall is right across the street with plenty of nice restaurants and shops. Have a fun holiday

Very disappointed by check-in because we did not get the room we reserved. We were told there was only 1 1-bedroom villa available and it was the last room on the first floor at the end of the property. It was not an ocean view. We were looking at a driveway with plants and heard loud noises from the adjoining resort. The television stations did not work and the air conditioner was loud all night and leaked onto the floor. We were told at checkin that we could get another ocean front room the next day and they would call us when the room was ready. They did so at 2pm on Sunday and we were able to get the room we had reserved. Very disappointed as we felt we lost a day of our vacation.

Tv in the room didn't work well. Not enough channels in english. No ability to screen share your phone to the tv. Resort pools were great, and the hot tub was a nice addition. Also pools and hot tub are open late (10pm) which is amazing. Some staff were not very friendly and not very attentative, but most were great. Especially the bag attendant, he was amazing.

The registration staff (Oscar D & Dennise T) were awesome. Oscar was able to change our room from one that was next to noisy air conditioning next door hotel to a beautiful 3rd floor room that was quiet and had a nice view of the beach and ocean. The baggage handlers were efficient and very friendly! The property was extremely beautiful especially the 2 endless pools. I would definitely rate this resort a 9.5, and hope to return soon!

The only negative was upon arrival, I had to sit with concierge to hear about timeshare purchase interest. I was on vacation and didn’t want to talk about purchasing anything other than food and drinks and excursions.

Los cuartos estan muy bien, amplios y en buenas condiciones. Las personas de la alberca son super atentas, tanto las que te ayudan con los camastros como los meseros. La razón por la que pongo solo cuatro estrellas es por las personas de la recepción, quienes tanto en el check in como en el check out, estaban de muy mal humor, y no fueron ni cordiales ni pacientes. Lamentablemente son la primer cara del Hotel, y si tienen mucho que enseñarles. Fuera de eso, disfrutamos mucho la estancia.

High end shopping mall with wonderful shops and restaurants right across the street. Food at the resort was good. Highly highly recommend staying at this place! We will definitely go back.

Property is the best around- the pools, cleanliness, wait staff, beach, and every outdoor staff person was outstanding- Luis, Ponchito, and Selena are just a few who made our trip 8/10. The only change from being here 2 years ago, is that the check in and the concierge service were very focused on attending an ownership presentation than making us feel welcome and appreciated for choosing them. They don’t owe anything to the customer, but small gestures such as a bottle of water or a walk to the restaurant for a first drink would be nice touches and were present previously during our stay. I work on customer service and a little goes a long way to sharing great experiences with others- word of mouth is more powerful than any other advertising. Even a free dessert or a bag with their logo would make the experience considerably better

Took my adult children for a Nov 25 week trip to Cancun - their first Resort experience. The Westin was making repairs to the front portico when we arrived, so missed the big WOW on entry. Inside the place was amazing. The staff top notch. We had a small hickup with a shower gel falling off the wall and tearing off a fingernail on our first day, but other than that, great experience.

My daughter talked to the Oceania staff about Green Chorizo (what is it, where can they taste some) on the second day, and the sourced it from Tulum to make for her for breakfast! Amazing service, listening and remembering each person. Just fabulous.

Daniel, our personal concierge, worked with me in the weeks before we arrived to ensure my requested food and welcome gifts were in the rooms for the kids when we arrived. Again, amazing service.

We had such an amazing stay at the Westin Lagunamar in Cancun! The service was honestly some of the best we’ve ever experienced — everyone was so kind, helpful, and made us feel completely taken care of from the moment we arrived.
The resort itself is beautiful — super clean, great pools, and the ocean views are just unreal. But what really impressed us were the little details. They even provided laundry soap, which was such a thoughtful touch and made it easy to freshen things up during our trip. And the lavender essential oil they include for better sleep? Total game changer! It smelled so calming and made our room feel like a spa every night.
We left feeling totally relaxed and already want to go back. If you’re looking for a place in Cancun with amazing service and all the comforts of home (and then some!), this is it. 🌴💙

The only reason for a good and not excellent was the fact it is a timeshare resort that we booked through Expedia, but are not interested in buying a timeshare and felt a few times like we had to listen to a speal about the timeshare because we were staying there.

The rooms are fine, air con tends to be freezing cold but they’re perfectly comfortable and well supplied with towels and toiletries. The room attendants are good. The hotel feels a little tired and the restaurants and bars aren’t great. Staff are really friendly and service is good. They’re slightly aggressive on trying to get you to buy a timeshare which can get a little annoying

Everything at this property is wonderful. Rooms are excellently equipped with modern furniture, outstanding views, the infinity pool overlooking the sea is beautiful. It has a water slide for kids that was so much fun for my son! You can barely see it from the pool as it’s kind of hidden in tue same architectural style of the resort. So you can enjoy the tranquility of the place and have some fun at the same time. The beach is wide and enjoyable with white sand and a volleyball court. There was sargassum at the sea but didn’t bother us at all. I would definitely go back.

This resort is one of a kind in hotel zone due to convenient location, wonderful staff, transportation and value for the money.

The major mall La Isla is across the street with lots of chic restaurants, ice cream, Mc Donald's and shopping. Also, ferris wheel is located in the mall.

The resort has beautiful gigantic pools with infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

Our studio was quite comfortable with a large bathroom and jacuzzi tub.

The staff was very helpful and Kary provided some great information about the area, weather and getting around on arrival.

The list of pluses is going on and on.

Will 100% stay in the resort if I return to Cancun next time.

Amazing staff!! The hotel food was very good and reasonable. The location is walkable to shopping at a high end mall with great restaurant options. Room was great with new furniture and everything needed in the kitchen for basic meals!! The pool and beach area had plenty of seating (August visit). Again, the service from the staff is amazing!! The best part of our visit was the awesome sea turtle conservation program at the property. We saw 8-9 loggerhead turtles build their nest then return to sea. We haven’t been to Cancun in 20 years, but we were surprised at how nice it is now. Definitely going back and staying at this property again.

Tres belle piscine. Grande plage.
Négatif: d’une manière générale le service est très moyen. personnel de la piscine met de la pression pour ne pas reserver les places (45 minutes d’absence) et inscitent aux pourboires. Quasiment aucune animation. Prix des Restaurants (incluant celui de la piscine) assez chers. Si vous voulez boire un café ailleurs que dans votre chambre, vous devez aller l’acheter dans le starbuks situé dans le mini market de l’hotel pas possible d’avoir un café autour de la piscine ou la plage)

Room wasn’t ready at check-in…Reported AC not cooling, instead of swapping room, the next day I had to take 4+ hours out of my vacation with staff, machines, ladder in room trying to repair air. It wasn’t until I took out my phone and began recording the manager swapped our room. Then gave my family breakfast coupons which included coffee and fruit. This hotel ruined the first two days of our trip.

Loved the pool areas and the mini golf was fun!! La Isla is right across the street and has some awesome shops!! 10/10 rating from me and my wife

The $538 Credit card charge was a suprise and another $430 charge was cause due them not checking to see if rooms had been paid for in advance through Expedia. I finally got the holds released 3 weeks after checking out. Additionally the hotel to the right is loud ALL THE TIME. get a room in the middle. Food and shopping across the street is resort priced.

Concierge used to be so pushy offering you different promos and also they made room calls for that.
The housekeeper open my room even when the “do not disturb signal” was at the door.. totally a disaster.

If you want to stay at a \"non-inclusive\" resort, this is a very nice place. Fridge, Mwave, Dishwasher, stove and utensils make it a residence stay. Small market to buy items on first floor. Supermarket nearby. You can pay for food at buffet restaurant or sports bar or eat by the pool. Very affordably priced. Pool is very large. Beach is too. Several complained about the pressure to sign up for vacation club, but I was only asked once. If you want an inexpensive getaway to a nice place, I would strongly consider this resort.

If you can score a deal, go there. Otherwise, I would go to another resort that has a better vibe. It felt like a hotel in any Beach city with some window dressing at Oceano (the main restaurant). The Friday Night beach party was the best event, but you can just show up, even if you are staying in another hotel.
