Stay was ok, I didn’t understand why every time I ran the water in our room it left a terrible smell while the water was running. Also phone kept ringing for no reason and the view was oceanview but I could see like the rusty power lines on top of the building the left. Food was decent, bartenders were super nice. I would never visit this property again.

A/C had issues all over the complex. Pool was gritty and dirty. Several roof leaks been by caught by buckets right next to food stations. Bars had unsanitary processes and conditions. Several of our party had internal issues. My wife got food poisoning on the last day. Cracked glasses, hair in the drinks, hair on the room and bathroom floors that did not belong to us. Facilities are old and not maintained properly. Food was ok at best. Wish I could give it a better rating. I will not visit again.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay here. It was located close to the airport. If you walk out from the airport and grab a taxi it's only $45 each way. The property was clean, the staff was very accomodating. My only complaints were that my husbands shoes and shirt were stolen by the pool. Also, the maid service knocked and walked into our room at 9:30pm at night and we don't really understand why. Also even though we had the AC on 65 it was never really cold. Always kind of muggy but I think that would be normal in that climate. Other than that, the food was good. There was entertainment every night and fun at the pool with the swim up bars. The adults-only pool on the 3rd floor was a nice touch. The property is right on the beach but the current is very strong so we stuck to the pools most of the time. Overall it was a fun trip and a good pricepoint.

Beautiful resort, great food, fun atmosphere, and an amazing pool. Unfortunately, the nonstop sales pitches were exhausting. It felt like every conversation turned into someone trying to sell a membership or upgrade. Saying “no” wasn’t enough—they kept pushing, and some became downright rude when we weren’t interested. We came to relax, not sit through a timeshare-style sales pitch every day. That alone would make me think twice about returning. Only two elevators made the waits to go to lobby or to your room were very extended. Also got a massage and the lady who was doing mine fell asleep twice during it. She apologized but I’m paying to be the one relaxed. It was a crazy experience for sure.

Can't wait to stay here again! My husband and I went for our honeymoon last month. I was iffy about the hotel having an 8 star review (I usually stay at 9 stars and above through Expedia). We loved it! Not sure why the reviews aren't higher! The food was amazing. The staff were great. The pools always stayed clean. There were so many activities to do. We have gone to Cancun numerous times and Hard Rock is definitely one of our favorites for sure!

So we were there for 6 days, and I really enjoyed myself. The property itself is dated and is in need of upgrades but that didn't disappoint me or ruine my good time. One opportunity I would suggest is to put a dresser for clothing storage in the rooms. We had no where to put our clothes for our stay.

We upgraded to the VIP level and really enjoyed our concierges. Luis, Mauricio, and Raul were all great 👍.

The booze was flowing and there was no shortage of it. The food was ok, nothing fancy but again, that didn't disappoint us either. We are no foodies. We eat because we have too. The buffet could use an overall. It is very small and limited.

Our air conditioner in our room was FANTASTIC! Housekeeping was great. Our in room spa was dirty and our concierge sent someone up immediately to clean it.

We will definitely return and are looking forward to it

I absolutely love the Hard Rock in Cancun! The staff is so friendly and always willing to assist in any way with positive attitudes. The bar has a great selection of top shelf drinks. The live music every night is a plus. Finished early so if you’re kinda old like me you get to bed at a decent time. Room service is included in the all inclusive so it’s nice to order a coffee or green juice and sit on the balcony and take in the view! It’s kid friendly but not too many kids to drive you crazy lol. I’ve been here 3 times and loved it every time! The only thing I would say that was unfortunate is the jacuzzi’s in the room don’t really look that clean so I don’t really go in them to enjoy. Also although they have many options of food and restaurants, the food is just ok. But other than that I love it!

In my opinion, I feel the price and rating is overrated, I was expecting to see more Hard Rock things around at the entire hotel, but you only notice at the entrance, but you dont feel you are at HR Hotel in some places ....

The food was ok, the staff was awesome but the worst thing was that presentation that We were kind of forced to attend, they keep us hostage for almost 4 hours while I am saying over and over again that I don't want to commit.
I am an educated persona and didn't wanted to be rude but at the end I had to walk away and the associate who was giving us the third presentation got upset because I didn't purchase a vacation plan. RIDICULES!!!

I had a terrible experience with Expedia and Hard Rock Hotel Cancun.

I accidentally booked the wrong Hard Rock property, then realized my group was at a different location and booked the correct one. This left me with two reservations for the same night. Within minutes, I contacted Expedia to cancel the incorrect booking and request a refund.

After multiple follow-ups, I was told the hotel did not respond, and I was stuck paying nearly $600 for a reservation I booked by mistake. Expedia said there was nothing they could do because the hotel wasn’t cooperating.

This is extremely frustrating. I acted immediately to fix an honest mistake, yet neither Expedia nor the hotel helped. I feel completely let down and will think twice before booking through Expedia again.

Everything was great but, We had only one bad experience with the room service, The servers were great but one lady who I called to order what I needed was very mean, We have it all registered with the front desk, You are allowed to order 6 beers at a time. She only sent 2, and they were warm and the wrong kind. When I called to let her know that I wanted 6 cold ones, she said she was not going to send them. She said she would only send 4 of the kind I wanted, and she would take back the 2 that my wife drinks without any problem. Then I told her that was wrong and that I was going to call her manager to find out what my actual rights were. And she said, “Do whatever you want,” and hung up the phone. 99.9% of the other employees were great!

The property was excellent. I have traveled to Cancun many times and have stayed with my family at 5 different resorts. Hard Rock Cancun is by far the best! Restaurants were very good. Entertainment and cleanliness were pristine. The only one minor item I would complain about was that the rooms were a bit too small. Probably because of the jacuzzi in the room. Full size beds are too small. Other than that, it was great!!

My experience at Hard Rock Casino was truly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the service fell far below expectations. The staff member who assisted us, Jocelyn, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her attitude toward both me and my daughter was unacceptable, lacking basic courtesy and respect.

There was no proper tone, no willingness to help, and certainly no level of service that reflects the standard a brand like Hard Rock should represent. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt uncomfortable and disrespected.

This was honestly a very sad experience, especially considering the reputation of this establishment. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue, because no guest should be treated this way.

In the hotel there is nothing to do,after you go to the restaurant. The buffet is very limited, we stay 5 days and only one of those there was Mexican food ‘, the water in the shower and in the wash basing smelled very, very very bad. The jacuzzi in the room was dirty with a lot of soap scum.

Hard Rock Cancun is small but inviting. Service staff was great but stay clear of the pushy vacation planners staff. Evening dinners require a reservation so book your dinners for each night of your stay as soon as you arrive. Any of the restaurants can accommodate booking reservations for all restaurants. Stop by one and book for all the others for the stay. (Wish I would have known this ahead of time)
Older resort with slow elevators. Pool area is nice but plan to get up early and go reserve your chairs. Great entertainment in the outdoor theater and fun entertainment and activities pool side throughout the day. Room service was handy but food wasn’t great. The hot tub in our room was disgusting and jets shot out rusty water but friends had a hot tub in their room that worked great so I guess we were just unfortunate. Overall stay was pleasant.

They placed me in a room where they had construction going on, loud banging and drilling started at 6 in the morning, I couldn’t get any rest, went to tell them about it and was told the couldn’t get me another room until 4pm the next day, only good thing is they gave me a full refund or at least I have to wait and see for that but told me I have to leave the property immediately or pay $280 for a day pass, all my family was there and because they didn’t want to accommodate me I had to leave but who wants a room where they can’t get any rest, staff was very rude and acted like I wanted to leave but no I just wanted a different room where I could rest peacefully so for that reason I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there

Horrible absolutely do not stay here. Horrible waste of money. Basically it’s a bunch of drunk obnoxious parents and their l teenage underage kids drunk rude disrespectful thieves parents and kids both acting like they’re better than everyone else. No one is friendly or wants to be friends or have a good time. It’s primarily all 14–20 yr old kids drunk. Do not bring ur daughter here or allow her to go. The food is horrible and tastes like garbage. Better be up at 7 am to put ur towel on ur chair before going back to bed for a couple more hours if u can sleep thru the constant noise of housekeeping the blasting music screening kids and the drunk guests. The staff and management concierge? Useless. They shouldn’t even be there as they accomplish nothing. All they will tell u is what they can’t do not what they can do to help you, and even if they do it will be so pathetic or so overly priced sufficient is not even enough to describe how useless it will be. They use the “idk Spanish” bs to get out of everything or not do anything for u. I could go on and on but head my advice this place is 0/10. Stay elsewhere. Hardrock needs to take their name off this PAM hotel disaster, such a disgrace. Oh and the food taste like a tough leather shoe. Won’t ever stay here or another hardrock ever again.

I would never recommend tho property to anyone the view that we got was horrible. The staff did not care that this was my friend‘s bachelorette. They were very rude the way they’ve maintained this property and the views that lead up to many of the rooms with this property are horrendous. Hard Rock Cancun had the best infinity pool overlooking the ocean I have been to. It also had two large swim up bars stocked with high end liquor. Staff was great. Food was fine. The rooms are dated with no storage but they are shutting down for full renovations. The lobby was fun with bars, seating and memorabilia but it didn’t feel like a beach resort.

Such an amazing stay with amazing workers especially our Good friend Damien that worked the bar at night getting us great service and drinks non stop!! Damien showed hard work and amazing worth ethic he was literally the best!!! If you go here and you want great service and good drinks go to Damien!!! We miss him so much and Hardrock it’s self next time I come to Cancun I’m booking at harkrock Cancun again !! All the restaurants were amazing going from breakfast, lunch and dinner!! The hotel is one of the oldest hard rock. They are going under Reno this year so it will come out in better shape. The theater is old and small. The buffet choices are very limited, probably the smallest have ever seen in any of the Caribbean all inclusive hotels. Their entire buffet is size of only dessert section of some big resorts. The onsite restaurants are also very limited on choices. Zen and Toro is decent. Not so much for kids to do.

On positive side, the resort is small and everything is steps away no long walks. The bartenders are nice and serves good drinks. The staff is amazing very kind and helpful. We requested for late checkout and room upgrade both were done without charge. The late night Dj/music was amazing and live!

Very enjoyable experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, the food was surprisingly good, and it always felt like there was something to do. The room was cleaned daily and the room service was a nice touch. All of the alcohol was high end and it felt like a considerable step up from some other properties in the area. The only let down was the beach, which was quite small and covered in weeds.
