Rooms where awesome with ocean view but there was a catch, the lights on the porch automaticly come on at dawn until around 11 pm which made the jet tub a little uncomfotable. The food was really bad. At the buffet some items remained all day round when it was supposed to be cycled three times a day. Portions at the resturant where very small, you needed to order two. Then when you ordered two the waiters would get frustrated. We left the resort three evenings for dinner at a cost. Excursion food off the resort was verrrry good. The alcohol drinks where a struggle to take down, way to much sugar mixed with bottom shelf watered down alcohol. If you wanted top shelf you had to tip BIG or be apart of some infinity group which was a scam in itself. If you go dont get pulled in to a sit down to here about infinity, waist of half of a day. The lobby bar was the only one that offered some top shelf options without the hassle. Be prepaired to claim your seats for the pool or beach very early in the am or you will be outta luck. Cabannas by the ocean are totally worth it, 100 usd a day with a waiter non stop and some really good food that is offered no where else on the property. As far as the staff goes we really meet some great people. Fernando and Victor at the beach where the best! Fredy at the front desk was very helpful.

Food was not good, not enough variety. Some of the staff were very rude when you asked them something.No entertainment pretty boring. Our fridge didn’t work , hair dryer didn’t work asked to replace it and they never did, safe didn’t work . We did have a nice view but honestly the hotel is old and it could use a renovation.

We had to call everyday and ask for the fridge to be stocked towels and wash cloths food was less than mediocre. We were suppossed to get robes and slippers with the room we had to ask and the robes had no belts and the slippers looked used..there were not enough towels for the beach. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed stagf was unfriendly and really didn't care. Mirror in bathroom had black mold the frame

Nice hotel good area but not a lot employees speak English no valet parking and not enough parking space also scape from welcome breakfast it isn’t timeshare but is a hotel program with 20,000 price sale but took 3 hrs from my Sunday morning and in the end they employees made very clean they were upset because I didn’t buy … not good or bad but a lot better options

We stayed for one night and then spent $6000 to change to a different resort we were having such an awful time. The entire vibe feels like an overpriced hotel with a community pool vibe. Nothing like the other resorts we have stayed at in Mexico. The food was inedible. It was awful. The service was awful. When we went to the buffet each time we had to find a waiter after sitting for 10-15+ minutes to ask for a drink. And when we did they seemed viciously annoyed we were even asking. The elevators were beyond slow. We would wait more than 20 minutes for an elevator because half of them were out of service. The vibes were just atrocious. I’m not someone who is generally picky, but when you’re spending that kind of money you want a good experience. It was just not good at all. The building itself felt gloomy with all the restaurants very close together, I felt like I was in a run down shopping mall. Don’t waste your money. Learn from my mistakes

Overall it was enjoyable. The food was okay you definitely will not starve unless you’re picky there is something for everyone. It is a family resort so keep in mind lots of kids everywhere. If you want a spot on the beach or by the pool take a towel down to by 6:30am or 7am anything later then that you won’t get a seat anywhere until about 5pm. The staff is wonderful.

PROS: It is a beautiful hotel with 3 connected swimming pools near the beach and a children water park on the other end. The beach has recliners, a lifeguard, a gym, a expensive spa, and many restaurants and bars, apart from the general buffet area. It is at a walking distance to a Mayan anthropological site and museum. The staff is amicable and professional. The place is clean. CONS: It is very difficult to get a table at one of the restaurants, but when you finally get one, you realize the food is no better than the one offered at the buffet area. If you have an allergy, the buffet area is not the best place to eat, since they use the same utensils and cross-contaminate everything. The quality of the food is OK, nothing exceptional. The two stores inside the hotel sell beach stuff, but at prices that you wouldn't believe: $40 for a sun screen bottle!!! More than $100 for a pair of pants!!! That's ridiculous.

I honestly couldn’t find a single flaw during our stay at Seadust Cancun! 🌊

Food: No reservations needed—you can eat at any restaurant freely. The steakhouse and buffet were absolutely delicious. Total food freedom!

Fun: The pools were super clean, the water park was a blast, and the beach is right there—soft sand and stunning views.

Service: Every staff member was warm and friendly, making us feel truly welcome. The room had an amazing view—watching the sunrise was simply breathtaking.

This place is perfect for couples and families alike. If you’re looking for a hassle‑free all‑inclusive with great food and beautiful scenery, Seadust is a 10/10. Highly recommended! ✅

Even though this resort is supposed to be all-inclusive, there's so many things that you either have to wait in line for, or just aren't available. I'm talking about coffee, ice cream, towels, food...just not worth it. We stayed here once 9 years ago when it had a different name, but quality of service, amenities etc. just went down. We're never going back for sure!

Hotel was beautiful and rooms were wonderful. No smell of moisture in the rooms which is common in some areas. Food was below average and dinner staff lacked hospitality. Their main focus was to get you fed and out of the restaurants with no check ins in between dish courses. Food lacked any flavour; but specifically, Manhatten had to be the worst restaurant to eat at. Overall I would not choose to stay at this resort again

My boyfriend and me just came back from a week long trip and had a great time relaxing. Even though it is a family ressort we found the property great for young couples as well. The beach was well maintained, drinks were great, staff was wonderful and food was incredible. There were always so many options and the food was fresh. For our first vacation together we really enjoyed our stay and being at an all inclusive made it stress free.

I stayed at this resort for my birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The staff were completely unhelpful when we raised concerns. We had booked three separate rooms, and all of them had issues—fridges weren’t working, the food was terrible, and the cleaning staff went through our belongings. Some personal items even went missing, including money. Overall, I would not recommend this resort due to the lack of professionalism and poor handling of guest concerns.

We enjoyed our stay at Seadust, but some things felt falsely advertised. They claim to have 9 restaurants, but in reality there are only a few consistently available: the Italian restaurant, Japanese restaurant, steakhouse, and a place called Manhattan. There is also a Mexican restaurant open for lunch, but you have to get there right when it opens at 12:30 or you likely won’t get in. Another place called the Lighthouse looked delicious, but it is only available to Infinity Club members. None of the restaurants take reservations, so you have to arrive right when they open, and some opened as early as 5pm, meaning you had to leave the beach early to get ready and secure a table. The breakfast buffet was very good, but it was the only dining experience that felt consistently convenient.

There was also a shortage of towels because many guests kept them to reserve chairs before the towel service opened at 8am. We noticed people putting towels on chairs as early as 6am, so we ended up doing the same in order to have a place to sit. During spring break in March, there was no bar open directly on the beach. There appeared to be a bar setup under a shaded area, but no bartender was there, which made getting drinks inconvenient.

Overall, we were lucky to have the experience to go to Cancun and we definitely would come back, but we would 100% stay at a different resort and definitely an adults-only.

Room was clean- a bit dated but very clean. Property could use some maintenance but it was minor. I highly recommend this resort if travelling with children. They do have to do something to get the situation with Chair reserving under control. People would reserve every chair and then have no one there for hours(sometimes over 5 hours) Others could be using these but they have no system to monitor it. This definately impacted our enjoyment some days

Overall, the resort is good.
The staff is friendly, all areas are very clean, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Here are some points my family noticed and hope the resort could improve:

Pool: Pool was very very cold for the 6 days I was there. Even though the sun was shining. Few people were inside. They prefer beach rather than pool.

Food: The buffet has a good variety of food; however, for my family, it feels like 3-star food when it comes to flavor.

Restaurants: At the front desk, I asked if we needed to book in advance to eat at the restaurants, and the staff said no. On the first and second nights, I couldn’t eat where I wanted because the waiting list was too full. What??
We then started putting our names on the waiting list at 6 pm to be able to get a table around 7:30–8 pm — a lesson learned.

Pool chairs and beach chairs: Be advised that if you don’t go around 6:30–7 am to take a spot, you won’t have a place to sit. People leave their belongings on chairs — marking their spots — and then go back to their rooms, go eat somewhere in the hotel, or do something else, and the chairs stay “reserved” for them all day. So be aware!

Our shower drain was clogged and leaking outside we called to have a room change but they just send someone to fix it but still the same..Next day we called again and they have someone to fix it and it was done. Bit of a hassle, but they respond right away and all staff are nice. Some lights in the room were not working but didn't bother us. There are long waits in the restaurants for dinner time but the buffet is always an option.

All the staff at Seadust were super friendly and funny, they have amazing food options with something for everybody. The wait time did get a little long but if you plan accordingly everything worked out.

Only major downer was you do have to wake up extremely early (6-7) to secure your chairs at the pool otherwise they are all gone by 8:30, the hotel also does not have enough towels for all the guests so we had to keep our pool towel for 2 days before being able to exchange it.

Overall though, super family friendly, friendly workers, clean, plenty options for food, stores had basic necessities and gifts, and I felt very safe.

The rooms are spacious. There are a good number of restaurants plus the buffet to choose from. All with kid friendly options. The restaurants were ok. I wasn't a fan of any of them really. The Mexican one by the Kiddie Pool is the best and many folks don't even know it exists. It's only open for lunch. MY daughter loved the activities and we did manage to catch one show. The wait list for restaurants can be extensive. We waited over an hour and a half on Thursday night and not even 15 minutes on Saturday night. It's very hit or miss. The buffet is ok. Plenty of options, but much of the same day in and day out.

Had a great time with my wife and young kids. Resort is very clean and looks great. They cleaned our rooms quickly. Not overly huge so walking around resort was good. All the restaurants and stuff was inside so that was nice. Couple things we found that when we were there that weren’t optimal…… buffet was only breakfast and dinner. Although the buffet area is big, the selection wasn’t big. Sometimes the restaurant waits were over an hour long, even if you got there when it opened. The kids pool doesn’t allow us adults to bring our drinks in which we found odd. Good luck getting a towel. Even though they issue towel cards, it took my 3 days to finally get one. The infinity pool on the beach side was great, but the swim up bar that was advertised was never open. And the two bars by the pool would only have one bartender at each one so drink waits were a bit. All in all it was a good stay, but i am probably looking at another resort for my next vacation.

My husband and I went there for our honeymoon and we had a really good time. We just wanted to enjoy the sun and the beach. The resort is really nice especially if you have kids. Staff are really kind and helpful. Rooms were good too. Food was average, but we still enjoyed the variety and the service. You might need to reserve to eat at some of the restaurants, although most of the food found in those restaurants is also served in the buffet area. You will also need to take your own beach towels, because most of the time they won't be available. The hotel should definitely buy more towels instead of making people wait for towels to be washed. In conclusion, there are a lot of bad reviews that are very much exaggerated in my opinion, and I would definitely recommend this resort.

When the hotel staff ask you to attend a sales presentation for their “Infinity luxury travel club” say no and run. A free 30 minute massage or small discount on an excursion is not worth the stress they will put you through.

We had a fantastic stay at Seadust Cancun! The staff were the absolute highlight—from the seamless check-in where everything was clearly explained to the friendly bellhops who took great care of our luggage.

The food exceeded our expectations. The buffet was our favorite due to the massive variety, though the Ribeye at the Steakhouse was a close second. Don’t miss the fabulous carrot cake at the Manhattan restaurant!

Our room was impressively large. While there is some cosmetic wear and tear (primarily on the flooring) that shows the resort’s age, it’s nothing serious. We even saw active renovations happening throughout the property, which is a great sign.

Highlights:
Infinity Pool: Amazing views of the beach with high-energy activities like water polo and \"swim Zumba.\"
Family Friendly: The children’s center is perfect for younger kids, though teens might find it a bit young.
Grounds: The gardens and exterior are beautifully maintained.

Overall, the warm service and great amenities made for a memorable vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall the resort was lovely! The staff was amazingly helpful and kind, the food was great and the room was nice and cool!

Our main issue was this weird little area in the bottom pool of the infinity pool where there is a gap between the edge of the pool and a ledge. My daughter, who is only two, fell into this gap and sunk into water way over her head. Luckily I was right there and grabbed her, but there was no signage or warning at all that there was a risk here.

Staff was not very friendly and attentive. Outdoor pool had very little amount of loungers compared to how big the resort is, they also kept running out of clean towels. And they also kept running out of certain items. The coffee bar never seemed to have the items they needed to make cold coffee even though it was on the menu. Just very bad staff. Spend your money elsewhere. There’s plenty of other resorts to choose from. Horrible place. Resort is also old and not taken very good care of.

Reviews we've read have been hit or miss so didn't know what to expect when arriving. The staff was friendly and decently attentive. The bartenders at the pool bars worked fast, and they had employees going around cleaning up plates and cups and they would even take your order for drinks if you asked.
Dinner was pretty good, the portions are a bit small so for 2 teenage boys, they would order 2 or more entrees. The Italian restaurant was our favorite. There are no reservations at any of them, so you either wait in line before they open or go later after everyone else.
The rooms and bathrooms were really a decent size; they could use a little update though.
We loved hanging out at the pool and they had water volleyball, water polo, water aerobics, and music going to liven it up.
Overall, we had a great time and were sad to leave.

Room was large clean with a view of the ocean. Housekeeping was good, drinks in fridge delivery was good.

The la cartes are ok, food is lacking some flavour, and if eating after 7:00 you will probably have a wait. Only Japanese, steakhouse, Italian and Manhattan are the only four open for dinner, with buffet. Breakfast is only the buffet, lunch is buffet, hamburger/hotdog/pizza outside by pool, and possibly a Mexican à la carte. Room service has a charge of $200 ($10 usd) pesos for each time. Less then advertised, unless you are Infinite.

Pools are good, lots of bars.

Elevators at one end of the property were great, other end had one out of order and other was very slow.

General cleanliness was good. Overall feeling was small maintenance is needed, paint, and small items.

The room was not clean when we arrived. There were dead bugs and used stuff. The hotel clearly needs some remodeling. The floors are broken and dirty, the shower was dirty and few water came out. In general outdated. The hotel is not ready to be fully booked. Restaurants had hours and hours of waiting. I waited up to two hours to get sorted only to find half of the menu unavailable when sat. The staff is very very rude when asked a simple question.

Overall we had a great time! The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Of course the resort could use a little TLC but we knew going in it was an older resort so we weren’t expecting modern/new. The staff are very helpful however the bar tenders at the bar near the pool/ beach were not friendly at all … despite tipping them. Fabi and Roccio were so helpful and worked really hard. Security by the pool was really unhelpful. My friend rented a Bali bed which was at the edge of the lower pool.Despite having signs saying no jumping or diving kids were jumping in front and getting our things soaking wet. I know it’s a family resort but kids have the water park, a small pool near the infinity pools as well as the top infinity pool had a lot of kids and activities. It would be nice if they could leave 1 pool closest to the beach for relaxing. Security just stood there and did nothing. The beach was lovely but unfortunately there was sargassum but that’s not their fault. They did try to clean it up but I think it’s a losing battle. The food at the buffet was pretty decent with a lot of choices. The Italian restaurant was really good and service was excellent. The coffee shop was also good. Overall it was a great place for a girls trip.

Overall it was a decent experience. The only thing I can complain about is how early the bars close. There are so many of them and they all close at 10 o’clock, and the only one that stays open later closes at 12 so if you don’t get a drink before then, you’re out of luck for the night.
