The property is a bit tired, the only restaurant with a good food is Asian. There are a few good staff members (including the gentleman at the reception who helped us to rent a car while other staff simply refused to even give any suggestion, and Julia (I think is her name little bit different uniform she was very helpful as well, Marco helped us to change money as well, gentleman who replenishes the bar was really good and few people in main restaurant as well as all the team in Hakka) other than that - reception area staff were very disappointing- whatever you ask answer is simply no, without any options. Queen bed were a bit small for us - we asked for hat are the other options, were ready to pay for upgrade- simply no, can we rent a car - no we don’t know anything, can we change money - no, we don’t have, the waiter at Mediterranean restaurant almost chased us away at 22.40. most of the time they looked bothered that we even need something, I felt that people on the street were more approachable. When we checked in - there were no welcome drink even tho it was our “inspira” privilege, of not many at all. And maybe the staff is tired and overworked- but you know what? Its not my problem. We did spend a significant amount for this hotel and we felt that service was average at best. Also - not enough sunbeds around the pool.

Stayed for 12 days. Check in process was seamless. Shout out to Felix. The buffet was very similar every day, The theme nights at the buffet were good. Buffet servers were great. Shout out to Jess! Pool side service was great. Shout out Charlie and Francisco! Rooms are spacious, bed was hard. Rooms are cleaned every 2 days and there’s no towel art. Main pool only has one ladder to enter or exit the pool.

We stayed here for 4 nights, we were 3 women sharing a room. The location is very good, the lobby has an impressive view of the ocean. The staff is wonderful (courteous, friendly, respectful and always willing to help). The hotel however, is feeling a little \"tired\".
Our room (superior ocean view) was definitely \"meh\", what saved the day was the views. The beds were uncomfortable (although if you prefer a hard mattress then you'll love it), the sofa in the room looked very tired and the pullout bed was absolutely uncomfortable, so much so that my daughter ended up climbing in bed with me. One of the reasons I chose this room type was because it had a balcony. Well, there was nowhere to sit - not a single chair. What is balcony for if not to be able to sit to admire the view?! Lastly, the room needs at least an extra mirror (the bathroom's mirror is peeling off and tiny).
The food was good, breakfast was definitely the best in my opinion. The two theme restaurants (Italian and Asian) were ok, not great.
As for location related to outside activities (hotel zone stores, restaurants, artisanal markets, etc.), it is among the furthest away. We took the local bus which is very safe and cheap ($12MXN Pesos, although you can also pay $1USD) and they come by often. It took us 15-20 mins to get there and back.
So, would I stay here again, most likely not. I think I would choose another property.

The resort is clean ,staff friendly, food is good,but the pool is small hard to get a chair unless your up at 7.One pool bar,one main bar which shuts down at 11.If your young looking for more activities, disco,more upbeat and modern environment stick with the bigger resort s ,such as a RUI

No seating area outside at all,if you’re going to warm please you expect to be outside not a chance. Definitely pool restrooms need attention to. Good thing is the staff and food was not bad.

Service was horrible.since we got there. Bell boy was just looking at our car when we got there. Not helping us with our luggages told us to place it on the corner. Check-in agent kept cutting our questions and didnt seem like to answer our questions. Only the bar at night these stuffs were nice other than any of the stuffs were nice at all. We kind of regrated stating at this hotel. We’ve been to Cancun couple of times and this hotel was worst.

Rooms are dated. Food choices very ordinary. Minimal to no activities. Host at Hakka Restaurant Alexander was rude and arrogant. Unacceptable behavior especially in the tourism industry.

It is posted as 4 stars but this hotel is 3 stars at the most.

Entire hotel grounds needed a good cleaning and renovation. The staff were friendly but not attentive at all. It’s advertised as a 3-4 star and that is false. The food was mediocre at best and the drinks were watered down with cheap alcohol. There was no security on the grounds and Simone could just want into the hotel without anyone stopping them. Travelocity needs to take this hotel off of there website as an option.

The hotel was dirty and needed a good renovation. The staff were friendly but bit attentive at all. The food was mediocre and the drinks were watered down with cheap alcohol. There was not security onsite that saw, and someone could walk up from the beach into the grounds. Travelocity needs to take this hotel off of their site as an option.

This all inclusive boutique resort had stunning views. Food was very good with a nice variety at the buffet and other restaurants. Rooms (especially bathrooms) need updating. And housekeeping only came once for our 4 night stay. While we enjoyed ourselves, I would not return given the other plentiful options in the Hotel Zone.

I have been to Cancun/Playa del Carmen 5 times. I have always stayed at comparably priced resorts. This by far is inferior yet charges the same price as others per night. The resort definitely feels more like a hotel. There is old paint peeling throughout the resort. The pool has green algae all around where the water line is. Tiles missing everywhere, you stub your toe or scrape your knee on them. The speakers around the pool were always off. They played the same 10 songs everyday from a boom box. Splinters protruding from the wood floor near the pool. The umbrellas were old and torn. People smoked cigarettes near you and ashes wherever. No designated are to smoke and staff didn’t address it at all. On my way up to the room one time, the elevator was wide open and the chute was clearly open ready for someone to fall to their death. I expressed my concern to the staff. They said “yeah we know” I asked for them to come The area off so no one gets hurt. They did.
The food was fine. Nothing extraordinary. Best thing was breakfast and the drinks were decent but the waitstaff were the dryest I’ve ever experienced except for Natalia behind the grill, amazing! Francisco ran around very courteous. Absolutely not a kid friendly place. The gym is small and the equipment is 25 years old at best. All in all it was a 2.5 star experience solely based on the lack of entertainment and the visuals. If you are looking for quiet and lame. Def come here. I wouldn’t return.

We had a great time and enjoyed all the food.
We came just to stay the night and relax before our flight but it was nice spot and everyone was friendly and helpful. The check in experience is top tier.
One thing to note is that there’s not much entertainment. If you’re looking for that you’ll need to do tours. I think a game room or similar would’ve been nice.

Todo fue excelente, excepto en el restaurante Azul, donde el mesero trataba muy bien a los turistas, pero a nosotros, que hablábamos español, nos ignoró y, cuando le pedimos café, se fue, así que tuvimos que ir a otro lugar.
Esto nos pasó tanto ayer en la cena, como hoy en la mañana con otro mesero; en el mismo lugar, fue la misma preferencia.

The only thing I can complain about was room was located directly across from the elevator (noisy), and the use of a scent infuser in the lobby and at the bar area. Very overwhelming for those of us who are sensitive to fragrances. The food was good at the buffet and Azul. We only stayed one night, so that is all we were able to sample.

Great water front. Fun wave jumping as long as the lifeguard didn't get too cranky. Food was good. Since this is a smaller hotel there is never a line. Main bar inside was like being in an airport. Cold temperature and not much atmosphere. Nice coffee shop!

The rooms were lovely. We love that it is pet friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful and offered services without being pushy. The food was not the best but we were only there two nights and having all inclusive was nice so we didn’t have to leave. My parents did not get their room service breakfast we ordered for them which was the biggest downside and as they are elderly they didn’t know what to do and didn’t tell us until we were checking out and it was too late so hopefully the staff will be more on top of that. We liked that it is smaller and quieter for a resort

Coming back to Óleo for the second time this year, we were excited and looking forward to another great trip — and Óleo did not disappoint. It truly exceeded our expectations! The rooms and other spaces were always clean and the food is good for an all-inclusive. The part that makes Óleo shine is the people who work there!

Rambo, the poolside entertainment host, was awesome. He interacted so well with the crowd and created a friendly, fun vibe all week. Every staff member was incredible and treated us with genuine respect.

A special shoutout to the bartenders — Gerry and Armando at the pool bar were fantastic and always noticed when we needed another drink. Felipe at the lobby bar made the best espresso martinis and we were impressed by his bartending skills. At Hakka, Crispin made my friend’s birthday dinner a truly special experience and made us feel celebrated. We went to Hakka most of the time just to see him!

Another big thank you to Fernando and Antonio, who always waved and said hello whenever we passed by — those small touches really stood out.

We will definitely be back to Óleo and can’t wait to see all our favorite staff members again. 10/10 trip!

the room was very clean and comfortable. the sheet were a little scratchy. the food was good, not great, but all included, so a great deal and there was a large selection. the staff was great. the facilities were great. the pool was a little cold. the building could use a little physical plant maintenance. we did have a great time. they helped us plan some great adventures. nicely decorated and a smaller resort than most, which is what we wanted.

It was not worth the money at all. The room was small and facing the front which meant next to a main road and we could hear the traffic constantly, the room wasn’t blackout so was very light early in the morning.
The breakfast was always cold, cold eggs and beans. The lunch menu down by the pool was awful, actually terrible. We got the chicken wrap and nachos and the chicken wrap was missing half the ingredients so it was basically just raw dough. The nachos were stone cold. I hate food waste but we actually couldn’t eat it.
The Asian restaurant was lovely though I’d recommend that.
We paid for all inclusive yet that didn’t include the majority of alcohol we drink and we weren’t told this in advance - we couldn’t have Aperol, Bombay gin etc etc just really cheap alcohol and you could tell. The beachfront area was limited to premium and cost extra which we also weren’t told.
The spa massage was nice but insanely over priced, more than London prices.
It’s no way 4 stars and no way worth the money we paid.
We complained at the time and got nothing.

Stayed here for a 24 hour lay over because of the proximity. Terrible time… understaffed and charge extra for literally everything. When the service isn’t there. The wait times for anything is 30-1hr. Would not be back…

Honestly, I would give four stars if it weren’t for the incredible resort staff, who truly made our stay exceptional. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and always greeted us with a genuine smile.

I would especially like to thank Luis from the Almar Restaurant for making my father’s birthday so special and memorable. The attention to detail was outstanding, and the food was fantastic — the salmon was absolutely perfect.

On another day, Yeselie and Iliana went truly above and beyond. They instantly fell in love with my baby and made every effort to celebrate our special occasion. They even fulfilled my son’s wish for ice cream on a Sunday, when the coffee shop was closed — finding a way to make it happen and bringing so much joy to my children.

Thank you for such a warm welcome, exceptional service, and unforgettable moments. The staff truly makes this resort shine.

Oleo is an amazing resort, clean, smells amazing, looks amazing … and the staff… THE STAFF ARE SO FRIENDLY!

I read reviews about how nice they are but you won’t believe it until they’re there. I was greeted by Yul and Kevin, also helped Issac, they’re so amazing. Enrique & Gerry were my go to bartenders and they didn’t disappoint!!! The restaurant staff were also so amazing!

If you like a small, personal experience, with good food, strong drinks and incredible view …. GO TO OLEO!!!
