Our stay was incredibly disappointing. We traveled as a group of 10 and were repeatedly treated poorly by staff. Despite being together, we were often told we could not sit together, which made the experience frustrating from the start.

Customer service was terrible. Staff were rude, dismissive, and even falsely accused our group of breaking a piano without any evidence. For an all-inclusive resort, it seemed like everything required an additional charge. We were pressured to upgrade for premium alcohol, specifically Tito’s, only to be told they had just one bottle available per day. The drinks overall were also poorly made and disappointing.

The fire alarms repeatedly went off around 1:00 AM. When we called the front desk, nobody answered. When someone finally did, we were told, “You and everyone else,” and our concerns were dismissed. I requested a manager and was told someone would call me back, but nobody ever did.

To make matters worse, after ordering room service at 11:00 PM, we received repeated calls around 3:00 AM telling us to put the cart outside, waking us from our sleep. We were also given misleading information regarding a timeshare presentation.

Between the rude staff, false accusations, constant upselling, poor communication, and lack of professionalism, this was one of the worst resort experiences our group has had. I would not recommend this property.

If I can give a negative review of this property I would. We went on a 10 person trip the staff on that resort are terrible and do not know what customer service is! The moment we walked into the resort nobody greeted us (unlike every other resort). They do not help people with anything it’s always oh I don’t know or that’s not the policy. Every dinner we had there was a problem with the seating we are a 10 people the restaurants are empty and they do not wanna sit us together what’s so ever. In the whole restaurants there would be 1 other table of literally 2 people and they still would not accommodate anybody. Every time that’s the policy. We understand the policy but if the restaurant is empty why can’t we all be together and enjoy a nice dinner? Secondly which is the most importantly unless you are a preferred club member or buy the upgrade you pretty much will have the worst pool and the worst drinks! I will never recommend this place to anybody

Great resort and overall experience. The dining experience is easily the best, and worth the price, if that is your priority. Be sure to get a room far from the lobby. Our room had noise until 1 am from the live music in the downstairs bar every night.

The property was nice, but it was more accommodating for white people. They didn’t play Spanish music, most of their entertainment was in English. It’s Mexico, all I heard was rock and roll from the 80s. My friend and I would be sitting waiting for poolside service and the white ppl would get served first. It was so bad we would already know it would happen. It’s all inclusive but the drinks are so weak they are mocktails. And bottom below bottom self liquor. They are more interested in selling you a hotel timeshare. I had high hopes because I stayed at secrets in Jamaica but I wouldn’t return to this location.

Secrets claimed this is a \"New\" property, only part of the building is new and that area is reserved for their \"Preferred club members\". So the rest of the building has had some updates and it's OK, but not NEW. Very disappointed in their claims. Some of the staff seem to have a distinct problem with what a 'proper dress sandal is' My wife wore the same dress sandal to 6 restaurants and never had a problem. The last night of our stay a restaurant we had been to before turned us away saying her sandal wasn't up to their dress code. Very rude and not helpful at all.

Need more options for breakfast, if you’re not a preferred club guest you can only eat at the buffet, the buffet is very limited. They have an omelette station but as someone who eats eggs everyday, there were times I couldn’t get eggs & didn’t have time to wait in line for an omelette. Rooms were very clean, they have a turn down service at night where they put your slippers & mat next to your bed, they check if you have towels, and take all the throw pillows off your bed.

We also felt that the entertainment at night was lacking, they need more live shows, bring in more local artists, etc. We are used to entertainment on stages & having a lively night club to go dancing at so we did find ourselves getting a bit bored. However it was a great place to relax. We were always able to find a spot on the beach. Day time entertaining was fun, we played volleyball, dominoes & blackjack.

This resort was probably one of the nicest ones in Cancun, great if you want to go to bed early & relax. Room service was great, good options. Our fav restaurant was Olio, the Mediterranean. If you’re preferred club guest then that’s the only other spot you can have breakfast aside from the buffet.

Loved the coffee bar, the swim up bar at the pool & the spa was so nice, massages were great! All in all we had a good time, just a few things we would’ve changed.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay at Secrets Mirabel. The resort is absolutely stunning, the food is great and the hospitality is fantastic. It was definitely worth it to upgrade to preferred as well. It comes with a lot of perks. The pool is so nice and we loved hanging out at the sky bar. Also the breakfast at Olio is amazing, just takes a long time. During our stay we also went to the spa for hydrotherapy and couples massage and it was by far the best spa experience I’ve had. We definitely recommend staying here!

The resort was beautiful and the rooms were always clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. One of the best parts was how close it was to the beach — we could simply walk right out to the beach from the resort which was very convenient. The restaurant food was also really good and we enjoyed our meals there.

The only thing I would suggest improving would be having more lunch options, since there were technically only two choices available during lunchtime. I also think having a bigger food selection at the buffet would make the experience even better overall.

8.5/10 — We really enjoyed Secrets Mirabel Cancun and would return.

The property is beautiful, relaxing, and well maintained. Preferred Club felt worth it: the room was gorgeous, the preferred pool was quiet, and the sky bar was perfect for sunsets. As someone who doesn’t drink, I still found it very peaceful.

Food was mostly great. The Japanese restaurant was the highlight, along with the lobster and pea risotto at Olio. Daniel Uribe at Bordeaux was excellent. Some fish missed the mark, including a gummy sea bass at Bordeaux. Breakfasts and lunches were fine, but standard all-inclusive fare.

Coco Café was the customer service highlight. Monica, Ivon, and Andrea remembered our coffee orders daily and were so kind. Alfonso, our concierge, was also excellent: helpful, attentive, and never pushy.

The main downside was inconsistent dress code enforcement. Twice we were rudely sent back to change despite following the stated dress code, while others were seated in flip flops or wet clothing. As a male-male couple, it was hard not to wonder if we were scrutinized differently. Management handled it professionally, though a bottle of wine fell flat for non-drinkers.

Lunch options could improve, and the Unlimited Vacation Club pitches felt too aggressive.

Still, we’d return for Coco Café, Alfonso, the preferred pool, and the sky bar.

May 2026. Our stay was absolutely amazing!!! The property itself is beautiful with breath taking views and very well maintained. My husband and I booked the Preferred Club Governor's Suite located on the 15th floor. It was just perfect and worth the money. The room itself was nicely decorated and kept clean throughout our stay. Our housekeeper Esmeralda did a great job and was very consistent with the cleaning time so it made it easy to plan for the day. The minute we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by very friendly and professional staff. Our butler Fonzi was just AWESOME. He communicated via text everyday and to provide us with the daily activities schedule. He was on top of it for any request we had. He truly made our stay feel like we were \"at home\". The Preferred Club Lounge is a nice quiet place to enjoy food/drink and to take in the views. Sky Bar is a must. Great spot to hang out and to get in the pool with food/drink service available. If you show up right when they open (9am) you will have the entire place to yourself. The beach area is very well taken care of. Every morning the seaweed that washed up onto the beach the day before gets raked up for easier water access. There are lounge chairs on the beach with food/drink service available. Yes, there are vendors that come by trying to sell different things but a simple \"no, thank you\" takes care of it. Resort security is also on point. The Spa area and services were just perfect. This is mini paradise.

Everything has been amazing. From the minute that we walked into the resort, the staff has been so friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent at every restaurant including the buffet. The preferred club breakfast at Olio was excellent, the only issue I would say is that it took way too long. We went twice and it was the same both times. Plenty of chairs down by the pool, I don’t notice any saving chairs, people were just down before 8am at the pool anyways. We went down around 10:30am and still found chairs. Could just be that the hotel was maybe at 50% capacity. Would come back but let’s see how they do at a higher capacity.

I experienced very poor service and attitude from some staff members toward guests of color, which made me feel uncomfortable during my stay.

After check-in, I paid extra to upgrade to an Ocean Front Room. However, I was assigned a corner room with a heavily obstructed view and only a partial ocean view. This was very different from how the upgrade was described to me by the staff.

In addition, I went to the restaurant with four friends (six people total). We waited for almost two hours while a larger seating area remained empty the entire time. Eventually, we were offered only a tiny table with one chair for our group. The sofa seating area was available but the staff initially refused to seat us there, and we were only moved after I strongly expressed my dissatisfaction.

I also lost an item of clothing in my room, and after waiting three days, I still received no update or assistance regarding the situation.

Overall, while the property itself is visually nice, the level of service and guest treatment did not match the luxury image the hotel promotes.

This is by far the most luxurious and beautiful resort in the hotel zone of Cancun. Amazing staff, Alexander, Ari, Santiago, and Santiago 2.0 were the best! Can’t forget Diego. So many things to do at the resort, no need to leave. We loved our stay and it was so hard to leave. Dinners were fantastic and the customer service was more than excellent. We've been to many Secrets resorts before and this one is just ok. It is new and doesn't have that \"Soul\" yet. The capacity at the time we visited the resort was about 60%.

The hotel app doesn't allow you to make a reservation to any restaurant. Even through our butler it was not possible. We went to Bluewater Grill once and Himitsu. In both cases we were told to wait 1 hour just to get the pager and after that ??? We did not go to these 2 restaurants. With 60 % capacity you can only imagine wait time during 100% capacity.
Olio restaurant was a blast. Amazing food and friendly staff. The only down part was a wait time to get our breakfasts.

The beach was ok. Tons of weeds and not even once we've seen a cleaning crew.
If you ever go to Secrets Akumal, you will see a weeds cleaning crew every single day.

At 7 am, on the preferred club swimming pool, all chairs were reserved. You will see beach hats, books and sun screens on the towels.
But there is a trick for y'all to know how to get the chair(s). These chairs are set up that way by pool guys. If you give them a tip, they will find a chair for you.
I would never think to tip for The Preferred Club spot at the pool. However, it became a trend on many Secrets Preferred Club resorts.
In addition, despite of Preferred Club pool being for members only, many not-preferred club guest were at that pool. Nobody checks the room number and the preferred club gate or access from the 1st floor was open to everybody.

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Secrets Mirabel. Views from the preferred room balconies are incredibly beautiful. I would recommend staying preferred, as the amenities that come with it made our trip much better. Our pool and beach attendants Abraham especially and Emilio took care of us all week by helping us get set up with chairs and towels and anything else that we needed. These areas fill up quickly in the morning and they did their very best to help us.

Food at the restaurants is excellent. One afternoon we inquired at Olio about where we could find quesabirria in Cancun and the chef, Antonio, ended up offering to make us a special meal of it! Thank you to Antonio for the excellent birria and to the manager Alexander for accommodating our request. Chef Antonio really made our stay special and added a level of service that elevated our entire experience.

Also special thanks to our maid Esmerelda and mini bar attendant Armando for making our stay most comfortable!

Pool was cleanly, lounge area was decently kept. Food was superb, I was pleasantly surprised that just about everything was delicious. This is a wonderful resort to unplug and reset. Property has laid back entertainment. If activity and adventure are your thing, they also offer diverse excursions. I personally LOVED, Xplor Fuego. Highly recommend!

The spa was beautiful and relaxing. Pools were nice. We spent most of our time in preferred pool. The staff in hotel are all wonderful. Our butler, Andre was great. Pool concierges, Irving and Abraham were awesome in helping with pool chairs.

The preferred sky bar was also amazing. And the staff was very attentive.

One hiccup upon check in. We booked a preferred club oceanfront king with terrace. Were requested a higher floor. We were told we were on first floor. When we were taken to our room we were very disappointed with location and view. We do a lot of research and the room was not at all what was shown on website. The issue was corrected. Our amazing butler, Andre was able to offer a room in the preferred tower which had an awesome view and was a much nicer room.

The resort is beautiful and clean. My biggest complaint was the CONSTANT knocking on my door. I wanted a weekend of privacy. It was a constant onslaught of knocking over and over, day after day. Regardless of whether the \"Do Not Disturb\" placard was on the outside of the door. The knocks were violent and impossible to ignore. I was twice in the middle of using the restroom. Once was interrupted mid shower. Three times was sound asleep. Not to mention the other interruptions during personal intimate times. This is absurd.

Just one example because I just don't want to waste any more time on this ridiculous practice the resort adheres to... The morning of check out we had a bellman scheduled to arrive at 10:45am to take our bags down. At 8:45am while enjoying the last few moments that I will see my girlfriend for the next two months, room service proceeds to knock on the door to see if we have checked out yet. Seriously guys? I am on YOUR schedule to have my bags brought down at 10:45am. Can you make this make sense to me? What would I do with my bags? Leave them for the bellman? Wait in the lobby for 2 hours instead of the comfort of my room? Go for a swim? Please help me understand the logistics of this... Oh BTW the bellman never showed. We waited around 10 minutes and had to leave; we had transportation lined up and still needed to check out. I will not stay at the property again.

From the start, the transportation was perfectly on time and they accommodated an earlier departure time for us. We arrived to welcome pool towels and a welcome drink every day. The housekeeping was impeccable and the pool fire staff especially Jerry was perfection! Every bar and restaurant was amazing food you have to do the steakhouse and the hibachi experience. They have live music daily and nightly which made not leaving the property so worth it I will be back soon!

This resort was beautiful, very clean, the food was amazing -the daily fresh taco stand during lunch was a huge highlight. All of the staff were very helpful welcoming and so kind. We loved the restaurants and variety of options available, room service was quick and our rooms were always clean and maintained sometimes even twice a day. I will mention most people ate dinner around 7pm so depending on which restaurant you choose you could wait 30+ minutes for a table because they don’t do reservations for most à la cartes. The resort itself has an interesting layout, it feels more like a fancy modern hotel and less tropical than I expected. The pools are oddly shaped and don’t connect conveniently to access the pool bar/main pool. It also is only mid chest deep for reference I’m 5”4. My fiancé and I really enjoy swimming so this was a miss for us. We also felt like there could have been more lively music to keep the vibes up as it was very quiet overall especially when the entertainment staff weren’t scheduled for an activity but maybe this adults only is going for a more relaxing feel, so I would recommend if that’s what you enjoy and are looking for. Most guests were lounging and reading all day most days. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the service from all staff was a real stand out for us and made our time there very enjoyable. If we did revisit it would be because of the service provided. Shout out to Santiago x2 + the bar runners.

Our stay: April 8-14, 2026. My husband I got food poisoning from 3 different restaurants: Bordeaux, Olio, & Skybar. To be clear, this was NOT norovirus (before anyone wants to give their opinion).

Quit allowing guests to reserve loungers! This is happening too frequently at Secrets’ properties.

Amazing experience. The only bad thing was that the breakfast in bed we got for booking through Expedia, had meat when we specifically said no meat. Other than that, A+

This resort was gorgeous and so much fun to stay at. The entertainment staff in particular was a highlight throughout my wife and I’s visit. Ari, Eve, and Santiago were always positive and took the time to really get to know us. Johnny, Diego, and Alex all made us feel welcome and celebrated. It was truly a special time. I loved the noon Zumba class in the pool and the beach volleyball.

Overall, we had a memorable trip, but there were definitely some highs and lows.
Unfortunately, Esteban nearly ruined part of our experience. His behavior felt classist and inconsistent. As Latinos vacationing in Mexico, it was disappointing to feel judged based on appearance. I wore Birkenstock sandals to every meal prior without issue, yet he turned us away at Bordeaux because of them. After changing and returning, we watched him allow multiple guests in wearing open-toed sandals no dressier than mine. The inconsistency and treatment left a bad impression.
On a much more positive note, Isidro was incredible. He went above and beyond to help my friend manage her gluten allergy—checking in daily, remembering her preferences, and making her feel comfortable and cared for. The only issue she experienced during the trip was at the teppanyaki restaurant, where she was accidentally served regular soy sauce and became ill. That aside, Isidro’s attentiveness made a huge difference.
Tito absolutely made our mornings! He is an amazing person—so warm, attentive, and genuinely joyful. Whether at breakfast or lunch, he always took great care of us and made the effort to connect with us. He truly stands out.
The entertainment staff were also fantastic. Arlene and Evelin were my girls, and Johnny is my boy for life! They brought so much energy and fun to every day and really enhanced the overall experience.
And a huge shoutout to Victor Martinez, hands down the best poolside server!
