We were very disappointed. We thought it was all inclusive. That was our filter search. When we arrived they wanted $2000 for all inclusive. If we knew this would not have booked hotel. It was definitely not what we were expecting.

We had a 3rd floor ocean front room. The view was good did not have anything obstructing our view but since we were located above the Cancun letters, we did have a purple light shining through at night that I found a bit annoying. Also, the glass patio doors were either fogged up or very badly scratched that did not allow you to see through the doors unless opened. Our room was very clean \"no complaints \". The grounds were clean as well and the staff was absolutely great. The food was the beast part of our vacation. Truly enjoyed trying all the cuisines and bar snacks. Overall we were happy with our stay and would recommend staying here.

Staff was amazing, place was clean and thats why i dont give 1 start but what it was promised on the website was achieved, when you go to a resort is to relax and unfortunately it was hard,There were construction by the pool all day, spa was not in service,there were no umbrellas by the adult pool if you wanted shade you need to rent the cabanas which there is only 12 of them and by 9 am they were all rented, the hot tubs didnt have hot water

Not many umbrellas for shade so the shaded areas were very congested. At one time our chairs where we had left our towels, were taken by someone else. No instructions given at check-in regarding restaurant reservations, pool towels. We asked about a later check-out time three times and were given a different vague, non-committal answer each time.

I traveled solo and chose the non-inclusive option, which was a mistake, the prices are very high when converted to dollars. The rooms are good, but there was construction during my stay, so it was a bit loud near the pool area.
Food options are limited. There’s mainly the buffet, and the beach food is very basic (burgers and hot dogs), so not ideal if you’re a foodie. The staff was good, but there isn’t much of a lobby atmosphere or nightlife.
Overall, it’s fine for a short two-day weekend if you get a good deal, but otherwise I’d rate it closer to a 2.5-star experience.

Somehow our room got canceled so we had to pay even more for a brand new room, the beach is amazing a bunch of beach chairs, great bartenders, all of the restaurants are pretty much the same thing, clean pools amazing time overa. Beautiful stay at Emporio, there is also a Oxxo and 7-11 walking distance!

We had an ocean view room and it was a beautiful view. The room was nice, however they don't give you very many towels for two people. The staff we encountered were friendly, but had very limited understanding of English. My friend and I speak very little Spanish, so it can get a bit confusing.

The special dinner was not good. We spent two hours and they didn’t bring the order completed.

The worst:
At breakfast, when I tried to get some foo, the head chef took it away. I asked if I could get some, and he said there wasn’t any left. I asked if he could bring it back, and he said it wasn’t in good condition. Then I asked him why he had let others serve themselves. I didn’t get it back that; I spoke to the manager, but I never found out what happened.

Five stars for the front desk employees Jesus Aquino was very friendly and professional. The check-in was nice and easy even though was busy. The rooms are very nice and clean, beds very comfortable. The hotel has many levels and mamy stairs with very few elevators and the only one for the main restaurant Cúa was out of the service for one day. Food is the same every day. The structure is very inconvenient for kids, older people and handicaps. They run out of beach towels very often and is almost imposible to get a bed beach ever, even if you get up at 6 am. The other ones were around the pool but they rent it with a package with alcochol and food. The kid pool was close under repair. I when to see one show and was ok but too crowded and no place to seat. Expedia offered a 15% on beverage and food for not all inclusive and that didn't happen they said it wasn't in the system. The employees are great and very friendly. In my opinion the hotel is ok but I will never go back to that place.

Room was good, staff was great,hotel is run down, dirty lift,stairs and corridors. Not enough sun loungers on the beach, 3 different clusters, not matching or as advertised ( there were only few straw canopies/shades and nice loungers, the rest were usual cheap plastics, tired former white canvas umbrellas and loungers). Food was ok( lunchtime was best ) ,not enough fresh fruits or veg,constamtly overcooked prawns, very artificial drinks(flavoured waters), not enough very traditional Mexican dishes. Great salsa,guacamole and steak at lunch though. All in all it wasn't bad as we mainly went for the sun,heat and beach,but hotel doesn't look like photos

The room was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the pools and Beach access were well looked after.

I did not book the all-inclusive and I found that the signage and instructions for what was included and not included was quite confusing.

Also when we went for lunch or dinner and tried to pay most of the time it was a real hassle and in fact sometimes was even told that I wasn't allowed to order any meals even if I wanted to pay for them.

Very comfortable modern room, great bed, excellent breakfast buffet. We didn’t do all inclusive but we ended up eating the dinner buffet and it was very good too. Really enjoyed our short stay here. If you want to eat in the specialty restaurants you need to reserve ahead. Very convenient to get to Maya Museum across the street.

We had a great stay in a very relaxing atmosphere! Being from the US I was very surprised as English was rarely heard during our stay and it took some gestures to talk to staff. I really didn't mind that at all. Chairs on the beach were not always easy to get and a lot of them just had towels on them to hold but no one on them. Breakfast and dinner were great, just make reservations in advance, before your trip. Lunch was an issue, no good options unless you want a burger and fries every single day. Making it to the buffet before it closed for lunch would probably be best. If you are looking for a workout, the gym is tiny so don't plan on too much. Overall, it was a great stay with a very nice room and staff and would recommend especially for the price!

The hotel is alright, but there is a lot of construction going on and it is notable that many amenities are not operating as they should. For example, pools are all running with a lower water level than they should and are not heated, the central building is all fenced off and under noisy renovations all day, many areas appear work and unkept.

Food is good and staff are friendly, beach is beautiful and rooms are alright. It’s a decent resort, but it doesn’t leave you feeling overly impressed.

Bizarrely it’s the only resort of dozens I’ve been to over the years where there’s basically nowhere to sit in the evenings, no lobby space let alone a lobby bar, so if you want to sit and relax after dinner or play cards you’ll be stuck going back to your room. This wasn’t a terrible vacation, but I would not recommend Emporio and would not go back again. Lots of better options out there.

No water on rooms, fridge(s) broken (all three rooms that we booked), never fixed in 9 days stay, restaurants impossible to make reservations (only two restaurants in the whole resort), and once we were in the restaurant for dinner, ordered everything and waited over an hour just for the appetizer?!? lines for buffet food to get in very long, etc. overall, would not go back, therefore would not recommend.

It was a great place to stay! We were doubtful about a 4 star resort but it exceeded all our expectations! Room was amazing, we got the ocean view and we woke up watching sunrise and sunset and the beach! Staff was nice and kind too, most of them spoke english so it was convenient for us. There were couple restaurants and bars near the beach which was also convenient! Food was average tho. Overall great experience will visit again for sure!!

My stay at Emporio was overall very good, which is why I would rate it 4 out of 5.

The highlight was definitely the ocean-view room. The proximity to the sea is absolutely beautiful and incredible. Waking up and seeing the ocean so close truly makes a difference and elevates the entire experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. You can tell they take care of the essentials, which is always appreciated.
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. From check-in to service in the common areas, everyone was willing to assist and made the experience pleasant.

As for the buffet, although it looks appealing and offers a wide variety of options, the flavor could be improved. I tried both the dinner and breakfast buffets, and in both cases I felt that while the selection is generous and adequate, the focus seems to be more on providing volume rather than standout quality. The food isn’t bad, but it lacks flavor.

Overall: excellent location, spectacular ocean views, comfortable and clean rooms, and attentive staff , with some room for improvement in the food quality. Still, it was a good experience.

We stayed at the Emporio Cancun Feb 4-11, 2026, & had a great time.

Staff - Everyone we met was friendly & helpful. They all spoke enough English to make up for our very weak Spanish.

Food - We really liked the buffets, especially breakfast & dinner. Lots of selection, and we liked almost everything we tried.
À la carte restaurants - Really liked Fasano (Argentinan food). The Italian restaurant, Bocali, was not good at all though. The staff were nice but the food was terrible.

Room - Had everything we needed. Had an issue w one bed not being clean when we arrived & the mini fridge didn’t work (we asked for it to be fixed/replaced, but it never was).
We also didn’t know we were supposed to have bottled water in the room until after our first stay over service & by then we’d already bought a $10 USD bottle of water from the over-priced store in the resort (ouch!). If you don’t have water in your room when you arrive, make sure to request it & save yourself some money.

Pools - Nice but pretty cold while we were there (sounds normal based on the time of our visit). The ocean was actually warmer so that’s where we did all our swimming. It was nice to hang out around the pools though & it allowed for great service from the staff. We really enjoyed renting the cabanas.

Make sure to get all-inclusive though. Even w/out alcohol, the buffets cost too much to be able to save money by not getting all-inclusive.
Overall, we liked our stay and would stay here again.

Only here for one day that is my only regret should’ve stayed here longer it is on a beautiful stretch of white sand for Hotel has many Pools I would’ve loved to have stayed here longer. It is definitely like the pictures that you see absolutely beautiful would recommend it.

I did not do all inclusive. I sort of understood what she was saying but I was not asked if I speak Spanish really well, but I look like I did so I didn’t get the proper translation. I think all inclusive could work here as well as there’s not much outside the resort.

The hotel was poorly cleaned; there were several beer cans and cigarette butts on the path to and on the beach. Communication with the hotel was impossible; if you need was warm. The food in the buffet was very very bad I used to wake up early in the morning to pick stuff over the beach or over the pool put my personal stuff in there three times my personal stuff was stolen I went to security and Supervisor make a problem with them. They said we can’t do anything at the end. People saw security and worker moving my stuff from the area I booked in the morning. The place is under construction bins two month and need at least three more months to finish the construction. There is no pool that’s Family can be in either Kids pool which is only was open for two days or adult pool very very bad place. I don’t recommend it and very bad people sitting in the reception area.

Very very bad construction everywhere the bar close and they start working from six in the morning they didn’t tell us there is any construction and there is one small pool for kids. They close this one as well and the one pool for adult only waste your money for nothing just to see you, no fun no activity in the morning one small restaurant buffet for everyone you need to line up for 10 to 15 minute outside when you enter it’s not that much food there is no life cooking and only one machine for toast in the morning about 700 people. It’s only one toast one restaurant. And only one bar and everything close 11 pm no activity no nothing you need to sleep by 11 . very bad experience no one go there and the pool it’s always very cold water and . Only one thing it’s good it’s nice view and the beach is very clean. so I didn’t one star only for the view

Restaurants not that great except for Sunset Grill (lunch) and Fasano (dinner). We paid for all inclusive but this resort didn't even have a coffee shop. If you wanted coffee in the afternoon, you either had to pay at a Starbucks booth or pay for room service. All inclusive doesn't mean all inclusive at this resort. Also, once you check out at noon, even if you're leaving the property with a later pickup time, they want you to pay $25 per person until 5pm just so yiu can keep eating & drinking. We would not return to this resort.

Cons: On the first night we had to call maintenance because the safe and A/C were not working properly. (They responded quickly so that was a plus, I just didn’t like the minor inconvenience)

My stay at Emporio Resort came with a mix of highlights and frustrations. The room was clean enough, though not spotless. The bed and linens were genuinely nice, but the resort doesn’t seem to provide hand towels at all—which made basic routines a little confusing.

When the temperature dropped outside, the room became chilly, and since there’s no heating system, it never really warmed up. The water only reached a lukewarm temperature, which didn’t help. Our patio door lock was also broken and had to be repaired, costing us about an hour and a half of our plans.

Communication throughout the resort was difficult because very minimal English is spoken by staff, which made even simple requests more complicated. Based on my experience, travelers who don’t speak Spanish may feel out of place or struggle to navigate the stay comfortably.

On the positive side, the view from our infinity‑pool room was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious, and the Selena performer was a standout highlight. There are plenty of activities offered, so the resort stays lively.

One thing to note: this is not a kid‑free environment in any way. Children and minors are everywhere throughout the property, so if you’re looking for an adults‑only or quiet atmosphere, this won’t be the right fit.

Overall, Emporio has some bright spots, but there are several comfort and communication challenges that travelers should be aware of before booking.

It was a good stay. Our oceanfront room had one of the best views for sure. It was an amazing stay but would have loved it even more if the swimming pools were a little warmer and if it had some more activities alongside with some more food options.
Overall a good stay.
