Everything was amazing! I stayed here for four nights with my friend. It was his birthday, so we were celebrating that. The breakfast buffet is very nice and we would highly recommend for dinner the steak restaurant and also the Asian restaurant. The Italian restaurant was not good. Pretty poor service. I want to give special credit to Adrian who is one of the breakfast servers. He was SO friendly and very Customer Service minded. Also Mr. Roberto, who is a server at the Asian restaurant really went above and beyond for us the last night. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is visiting Cancun.

I want to make it clear that my rating has nothing to do with the staff & location of the resort- both were wonderful. However, when booking an adults only, the expectation is that it is adults only. Unfortunately, most of the amenities were on the attached family resort. For example:

Swim up bar- family pool
Dj & dancers - family pool
A la cate dinners & buffet- family resort
Smoking area- family pool
Glow stick party at nignt- family resort
Foam party- family pool
Beach DJ party- family side
Another issue I noticed was that my wifi didnt work in my room unless by the window and didnt work at the beach.

Im not saying that the family side shouldnt have those things, I am just mentioning these things so folks who are expecting adults only, understand that isnt the case and I am just speaking from my experience and expectation.

The location was lovely, the beachfront was amazing, the staff and food were great, it was clean and the lunch buffet poolside was definitely a plus!

My Ocean View room was Perfect. The room decoration was elegant and had 5 lighting options to match the mood. The Hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Several staff remembered my wife and i from our previous trip, which speaks to the attention they pay to the guests. I will be returning and would recommend the Royal Solaris Caribe to everyone.

We loved Caribe. The pool & beach were fantastic.
Lots of towels and very pleasant service all day long. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight. Luz the hostess was a bright refreshing encounter every day. Her teammates Adrain Alfredo Jesus and Ricardo all at cafe Solaris kept the coffee flowing in style.
Lu the manager was always present . Interacting with all the guests and ever ready to volunteer any iinformation one may need . I particularly appreciated that Lu recommended and made reservations for dinner almost . We took her advice and enjoyed each place that she recommended.
Honestly I would have no hesitation to recommend caribe. Rooms were very clean prompt housekeeping lots of towels and bottled water.
I can’t wait to go back.

Very nice hotel, excellent experience, the food was good. The asian restaurant was the best with the best customer service. My only 2 complaints, staff was calling to my room at 8am for some reason, when you are on vacation i want to rest, not waking up early. And the most important thing for me was the lack of real Mexican Music in the hotel, No Mariachis and not showing the rich Mexican culture that i was expecting. Other than that i will recommend and i will come back soon to this hotel.

The resort and room are very clean. The service could be better, don't expect to be brought food while lounging at the beach. DO NOT book on the Lagoon side, you will hear the highway all night - this happened to us and luckily they found us another room that was quiet. The food is ok, it will sometimes taste better than it looks! Guest services and the servers at the restaurant are great. If you have to eat at the buffet, avoid anything at the height of children, they touch it all! We stayed on the adults only side which was peaceful, not a party, lots of ppl 60+ and a very chill vibe. The proximity to the beach is lovely. Room and bed are quiet comfy.

We show up and were subjected to a FOUR HOUR sales presentation for their time share... we had to tell literally five different people NO. We are NOT interested. They were hounding us. Terrible experience. Never returning. Couldn't pay me.

The grounds, rooms, pool, etc, was all very nice and very clean.

Staff was extremely friendly and polite, thank you Luany & Sam at reception for the upgrade.

The resort is very very chill and quiet. If you are looking to party or be up late, this is absolutely not the resort for you. We just wanted to relax, read and hangout and the vibe & other guests at the resort were all on the same page which we really appreciated.

Our biggest gripe was that the loungers at the pool were all reserved so early in the morning. Being a chill adults only resort, the older folk would put their books or towels on the loungers to reserve them for the day. Every morning regardless of when we went for breakfast, every lounger was reserved by guests who woke up extremely early to put their stuff on a lounger. We had our own private plunge pool overlooking the ocean, so it wasn’t a huge deal for us specifically, but I can imagine the frustration of other guests who did not have their own private pool.

The beach was excellent as expected for this area. Plenty of available beach loungers, water was good, sand was soft, not rocky.

Highly recommend the rooms with their own private pool overlooking the ocean. You had immediate access to the beach and main pool, main bar, and the waiters/waitresses came to your pool regularly to take drink orders so you didn’t have to go to the bar.

Food was mediocre overall. The best we found was the Mexican restaurant at the neighbouring resort GR Solaris.

Is hotel only caters to members, they will make sure to let you know that special in order a drink. My husband ordered a Cadillac margarita on our first day of arriving and they said the grand Manor is only for members so he just got a regular margarita, which was not that great the margarita taste like lemonade with a lot of sugar added. On our second day we try to go have breakfast at the restaurant by the ocean, but we’re told that it’s only serving the CEOs. So we ended up at the buffet that is in the next hotel that has children. The buffet that is for adults only is very small with not that many options and the food overall is not great at all.
We ordered room service and after an hour I decide to call the front desk and Dolores told me they sent the food to the wrong room. My husband was upset so we decided to go eat at the main buffet upon arrival we were told there was a dress code and my husband could not enter with sleeveless shirt. I asked the manager, Gabriella approached us and was very nice and told us she would personally deliver who that drinks to our room, I would never go to this hotel again because they only cater to members.!!!

This was our first stay in Cancun! We loved it and will be back! The omelettes at breakfast were outstanding! All of the workers were friendly and accommodating! We also loved that it was a small resort! The Mediterranean design is beautiful too! Also loved the speakeasy!

We did not get the room we booked. We were there for my gf birthday and Valentine's day and we are both over 6'. booked King size ocean view and they made us stay in 2 doubles the first night. Other than that, the staff was nice and the food was good in the restaurants.

The room was great but the plunge pool was cold. The food was terrible. Especially any beef dish or desert. The main swimming pool was so cold that most people would not go in. If you have disabilities or struggle walking or climbing stairs be very careful here. Many steps that are either too tall or difficult to traverse. Incredibly difficult getting in and out of the hot tubs. It was actually a shame as my wife and I actually enjoyed our stay. We were very conflicted about how beautiful it was yet quite terrible at the same time. We would return to Cancun but would not return to this resort. On a positive note, the staff was always friendly, hardworking and accommodating.

Good location, room service was a little delayed. We had to ask for bottled waters like 3 times before they actually brought them. There aren’t many restaurants available at all times and there is limited availability. Other than that it was nice. If you get a plunge pool there’s no privacy and people will walk through your back deck as they please.

Weird time. We arrive, the lady at the front desk says we can get a discounted cenote tour if we sign up for a tour of the resort. They spent 3 hours the next morning trying to sell us multi-decade time shares. Once on the cenote tour, they brought us to a scammy jewelry shop and tequila tasting - delaying the cenote tour by like 3 hours. All in all, spent 6 hours of our 4 day vacation not getting to be on vacation. They set their guests up for aggressive sales people to target them. It felt like everyone was constantly trying to sell us trash and not taking “no” for an answer. I just wanted to be on vacation.

We had the best vacation with our family at GR Caribe. Lu and Miriam did a great job attending to our every need in guest services, including dinner reservations, a great room, and excellent room decorations.

The meals and restraints were perfect with service from Captain Fabian at Cafe Solaris, Captain Darwin at Veneto, Roger the waiter at Bogavante, and especially Ricky the waiter at Marco Polo.

Maggie from the entertainment staff went above and beyond with activities for the grand kids, they loved making bracelets with her.

There were pros and cons to this resort. This was my 4th visit to Mexico and it was my least favourite. First time at this resort. Firstly, check in took a long time. There is only one person that works the front desk. Secondly, there are staff in blue shirts beside reception that tell you there is a mandatory “tour” you must attend. They also want your ID, 2 credit cards and a deposit. The next morning, they took us into a room and tried to sell us on a club membership. We felt very uncomfortable after declining them. Third, the food was a 5 out of 10. The buffet options were strange and they were not labeled properly. Breakfast buffet was good. Snack bar was very messy. Staff at snack bar and pizza place were not friendly. Lastly, we asked for late check out and were told our room was booked so we could not check out late. I thought check out was noon, we got to front desk and were told we had to pay $60 usd as check out was 11:30, not noon. Then after arguing with the rude lady at front desk, we were offered late check out at 3pm if we paid the $60. But they said late check out was not available! Scams. We will not return to this resort.

Disappointed. High season but expected more for the price! Ocean view was a tiny window. No balcony! Very little shade on the beach. Just a few umbrellas. Beach chairs were old and saggy. Bathroom had a light out and missing a towel rack. Difficult booking restaurants for the times we needed. Layout of the facilities is confusing. Avoid if you have any mobility issues. Steps everywhere. Staff was nice.

We stayed in the beachfront room with plunge pool. The view was unbeatable from our room and it's well worth the price. We also loved the fact that the hotel wasn't too crowded and we could get around easily.
But we did face some issues as well -
-We hung some of our beachware out to dry overnight in the balcony and those were stolen. I reported it to the front desk but didn't get much help except for an apology.
-The food at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were all very bland and didn't taste good at all.
-The air-conditioning in the room was loud and constantly woke us up in the middle of the night.

Overall there's lots of room to improve still.

This is a simple resort--narrow hallways, only a few restaurants, towel cards required, no lotion provided, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice pool with actual warm hot tubs, very rare in Mexico!

It's cozy. It's more the size of a normal hotel than a resort.

The food was okay to good. Drinks were strong and good quality. One restaurant is right over the ocean--excellent views here.

Would definitely stay again if I needed a short stay in Cancun.

Few minor things, Our Kleenex wasn’t restocked when the room was cleaned. The toilet pressure wasn’t very good and the sink didn’t drain well.
We had a jacuzzi on our balcony that didn’t work, it wouldn’t hold water at all and kept draining.
The staff were great, and the hotel overall was fun and it was a nice place to stay. The drinks were were typical for an all inclusive and the food was good in some a la cartes, and decent at the buffet.

The room was nice and the Plunge pool out back was totally worth it. the staff was very nice until it came to check out. It seemed a bit like checking out of a hospital. I did go back a days later and they had found my buddies shoes. they were very nice staff and the beach was so close and clean. The food was sub par. I am not a drinker but all my travel buddies are and they were not happy that the bar service was not open till 11am and closed at 11pm. Also one bar tender at the pool bar could not keep up at all. It was a long wait to get a drink. We also got kicked out of the hot tub at 7pm nad that was kinda lame cause there was nothing else to do.

Just returned from an incredible stay at GR Solaris Caribe Resort and I can’t say enough good things about it. The staff went above and beyond from the moment we checked in friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. The rooms were spotless, the views were stunning, and the resort was beautifully maintained throughout.

The food and drinks were far better than what you typically expect at an all-inclusive, great variety, fresh options, and no shortage of made-to-order meals. We especially loved the poolside service and nightly entertainment, which gave the whole place an energetic yet relaxed vibe.

Whether you're looking to unwind by the ocean, enjoy great service, or just escape into a stress-free vacation, GR Solaris delivers. Already looking forward to our next visit.

We loved the customer service, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the breakfast. However, there are several issues that the hotel needs to address. The food at the buffet was not the best. I understand that we probably visited during the beginning of the slow season, and the kitchen staff was new. I believe they should receive proper training before handling guest orders.

Another issue was with the front desk; they never had change available to give back, either in dollars or Mexican pesos, which was inconvenient. We have stayed at Solaris two times now, and honestly, this time was not the best.

I would like to give five stars to the housekeeping team members and the servers in the restaurants for their excellent service.also 5 stars to Hermelina the lady that works by the pool making pizzas.. they were amazing.

Air conditioning worked great, only issue I experienced was the bartenders over serving patrons. Turned out to be dangerous, my boyfriend was over served on the 1st into the 2nd of October. As a result, he was injured and required stitches upon arrival back in the states. Very scary and stressful situation.

The price is great and the specialty dining was great

I highly recommend staying at GR Solaris you relax by the pool but if want more party you can also walk to Royal Solaris pool area they both have excellent service. The hotel Is close to airport ,close to the shopping center la isla and the night clubs. Good location I always stay at GR Solaris two or three times a year.

Staff was great. Ignacio from las fuentes restaurant treated us very nice and went out of his way to create a wonderful experience. Ricardo from Cafe Solaris made sure were happy with the food. Sergio from the lobby bar was very nice. Overall a great week at GR Solaris Caribe.

Property is well maintained. Room was beautiful and clean. All staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. Hotel is right on the beach. Only complaint would be the food. It was hard to get a reservation and the buffet food was terrible.
