El bar con buena calidad y variedad de licores. Todos los musicos que se presentaron a amenizar en cada uno de los 5 dias de nuestra estancia fueron ¡muy muy buenos!

Tenian poco personal en todas las areas: housekeeping, restaurantes y piscina lo cual hacia lento y escaso la calidad del servicio. La mayoria del staff amable, aunque si un 20% no fueron amables.

Buena playa y limpia, el mar color turquesa, con oleajes constantes

El transporte Aeropuerto a Hotel definitivamente mejor en precio si lo contratas con el hotel, los taxis y servicios contratados en el aeropuerto son casi el doble de precio

May 20-25th was our 5th visit to Sun Palace as a couple. Needless to say, we love this place. The spa was the star of our visit this time. We cannot believe we have been skipping it!! We ventured out to Moon Palace and purchased a day pass to the Grand. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with a few frills, Sun Palace is your place. We were able to catch a Cabaret and Michael Jackson show!!! Boy, do they know how to entertain!! See you next year, SUN!!!

Sun Palace is a travel destination for all couples who want to enjoy a beautiful hotel and tireless staff who work to make your stay an absolutely incredible one. We went for our 40th wedding anniversary and are so glad we did. The intimate size makes for a truly relaxed experience that will not be forgotten. The accommodations are truly topnotched. Everyone we spoke to had been coming to Sun Palace for years and now we know why. A wonderful experience for sure and one that will not disappoint.

WILL BE BACK!!!!! Stunning resort that makes you feel personally butlered through the whole stay. I was worried it’d be boring or only for the older crowd but it was so lively at the right times (and targeted in certain areas like the sport pool with the pool bar)

SERVICE: Literally exceptional. No one came off as “salesperson-y” and everyone was always going out of there way to ensure you had everything you needed. We appreciated the courtesy calls to our room at least once a day to ask if we were enjoying everything and if we needed anything. Felt like they accounted for each and every person at the resort, made you feel special and not just a number. Almost anything you asked for they tried to achieve for you and IMMEDIATELY! Room service was so speedy and they went the extra mile to make sure you barely lifted a finger the entire stay. I’m saying, they GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to take care of things, felt like princess treatment.

FOOD: MAGNIFICENT! My boyfriend is a resort snob that’s been to severalllll resorts in Cancun and said this resort had the best food HANDS DOWN. Everything from international cuisines to just simple classics that were perfected. Eggs Benedict cooked to order, same with waffles, omelettes, pancakes, oh my gosh. For anyone saying food was mediocre were probably lazy and didn’t wanna explore the full buffet or read the signs for what you can get cooked to order. You WILL find multiple things you like to eat and done well.

Amazing stay! the rooms were well appointed and clean, o.ur room had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean, the restaurants were all themed with great courses, the pools and bars were so fun and relaxing, the staff was very friendly and accommodating for reservations and stay extensions (we were allowed to purchase additional nights. due to inclement weather that delayed our arrival) and there were several activities each day. Our group will definitely be returning and we'd highly recommend it!

A wonderful and relaxing adults only week in cancun! My only “complaint” is a slight musty smell to the room. It didn’t take away from our enjoyment - an all around amazing weekly. We received a free room upgrade w Expedia VIP. All the food was great, including the buffet (we loved the handmade tortillas at the Mexican restaurant at dinner). All the staff were amazing. Enjoyed resort credits from Expedia and presentation at Le blanc at the spa. Not a party resort - but enough things going on if you want to partake. All staff were so kind and helpful. Beach was great. Seaweed did wash up every day, but it didnt stop us from enjoying the beach.

Overall, it was a good experience. The problem was more Expedia that states it has 24 hour shuttle access and this is NOT true. It was very stressful and scary to have to find a way to get to the resort but staff at the airport helped us out. At the resort, the staff was nice but like 2-3 times we got staff members that did not look happy but seemed to expect or hint out wanting a tip. The room was amazing but again I had to call for a room clean up after having requested it and after a long day of being out.
Other than that I would have to add the resort needs more shows or amenities. Not much to do on the resort but we were ok with it since we went to just relax. Rooms and majority of staff members made the stay pleasant.
Oh don’t forget to RSVP for dinner. We struggled to get dinner because no one told us this. Food was delicious so that’s a plus.

It was a 3 night vacation. Upon arrival and check-in, we were constantly pushed to schedule a visit to their new resort as if they were selling a timeshare. They offered credits to be used in the resort and help with restaurant bookings within the resort. When declined to book for a visit to their new hotel, staff’s attitude changed immediately and they no longer had time for us. The hotel only 4 restaurants and i could not get a reservation at top 3 restaurants for the first 3 days and was able to get a booking on our last day. Ate the same food at the same mediocre restaurant for 3 days…. Room was okay, but all water bottles in the room were all opened and half drunken by previous user of the room and the towels were beyond dirty that i had to show the condition to the housekeeping staffs who merely acted surprised and replaced the towels. For 3 nights of resort stay, i would never use this facility again as they were only focused on pushing their hotel patrons to visit their new timeshare type property when we declined twice. It seems without confirmation to visit their new property, getting a reservation at one of their 4 restaurants in the property was not possible. Not worth the hassle and our money

Beautiful all around. Great water and great beach. Resort credits are not dollar for dollar and can’t be used on many things, so just beware if you’re offered a ton of them, it’s not as good as it sounds. Plus you pay 16% tax on top of it on the cost (which we noticed were inflated prices, so just beware)

Aside from that, it’s an amazing place. Food is great and service is spectacular everywhere. The crowd is older, so it’s much more relaxed and laid back. Not a place to get drunk and act wild, just a place to unwind, take time to enjoy the amazing turquoise aqua water and ditch the winter!

The Thai restaurant is delicious and so is Aurora, which has Mexican favorites. Quality of everything is top notch. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is comfy and sheets soft! We didn’t want to leave!

Sun Palace Resorts has been the worst place I've ever stayed in.
I booked an ocean view room w/ 1 king bed for my anniversary on Valentines Day weekend. I get there and they tell me they don't have the room I paid money for ready and they never \"promise\" rooms even if you paid for them, they offered me a twin bed w/ a view or a king bed w/ no view. I tried talking to guest relations at the resort and they did nothing for me except put all the blame on Expedia saying I would have to contact Expedia for any help. He also promised that I would hear back from him the next day if any rooms become available & I never did. Not only that but they never offered any sort of compensation for not having the room I paid for ready for me. There were no decorations I requested in the room. Nothing offered to help support me coming to this resort for this special weekend.

They offer you $500 in resort credits that you can't even use. I was speaking to someone from the spa through text message and they told me a regular massage was $230 and I could only use $100 resort credits towards it. I chose not to get the massage here and never confirmed a massage as I went outside the resort to get one. On checkout, I find out that they charged me the resort credits & $$ on top of that for a \"canceled massage.\" Had to waste my time speaking with someone from the massage center while checking out and trying to get to the airport for them to take the charges off. Good thing I had the texts as proof

The tour is terrible don’t believe them I got allergies to onions they told me don’t worry we will have food for you it’s was a Lie no food no towels and no space in the beach to lay down the restaurant that they told me it’s belong to Sun palace. It’s never was belong to Sun Palace. That was a lie. I’m diabetic. It’s was horrible not Relaxing at all it’s was terrible I got so sick plus I’m on vacation the lady called me at 8 am to go downstairs so she can activate all my activities which is crazy it’s to early in the morning specially I’m on vacation so wrong

Check in was an absolute nightmare. Was asked to show the physical card that I booked the room with. When I said I literally had no clue what card I used, they proceeded to ask me if I used someone else’s card to book the room. Was told to show them my bank account statement proving I booked the room(which doesn’t even make sense), and when I finally figured out which card I used, which was the Apple Card that uses a different number to in person transactions and virtual transactions, they made me screenshot the card details and email them to some unsecured email address. Either they don’t know how cc security works, or they’re literally trying to steal cc details. Either way, I had to immediately change my virtual cc number because it was now compromised.

The room was very clean and cleaned everyday. All the staff were exceptional
The beach staff who brought drinks and food were exceptional very thoughtful. From the lifeguards to each server, coming to the beach we knew we would be taken care of.
Sweet and Coffee has some of the best staff each and everytime we came there the sated has a smile on their face and was willing to make the drink we wanted.
Able from Trattoria was an amazing server he served us 2 times and was always pleasant to talk to
-Francisco from Thai was a pleasant server always kind and at service there was never a dirty plate at our table.
-Adrian from Trattoria was a very sweet server he asked about our stay and found out it was our honeymoon then made us a special dessert with our names and a heart, made our dinner that bit more special.
-Brenda from front desk was always willing to help and answer any questions if we had any. She was very pleasant
-Alexis: when we had a slight inconvenience he was there to make sure everything was smooth and our experience stayed top notch, we were taken care

The best thing about Sun palace is the wait staff and bartenders, They were fantastic! The resort was clean. Food was ok.

The bad part is the front desk agents are super pushy and use super pushy sales tactics to try and get you to go and try other resorts and book things. We got there and was sat down and hammered on going to a 90 minute thing. They even went so far as to call our room to remind about that, rather then checking on our stay. One lady said we had to bring each of our IDs and credit cards. It was overbearing and because of that we won’t go back. It’s sad, because we had such a great time with the waitstaff and how friendly and informative they were.

We enjoyed our 4th trip to Sun palace. Our anniversary dinner on the beach was very romantic. The food was fantastic as always, however we were not to fond of the changes to the Fuego menu. Bring back the bacon wrapped chicken, please...... We visited Trattoria twice for the chicken masala and impeccable service. Sun palace feels like home to us and we cannot wait to see everyone again next year!

We did a quick 3 night weekender. Checked in friday mid-day and went to Fuego first night. Wife woke up with projectile vomiting and it lasted 20 hours. Doctor came (at our expense) and determined the obvious. Food poisoning. Even after front desk summoned the Dr. no one checked on us, offered any help, nothing. We just had to wait around in our room for our ground transportation to show up, which never did. So we had to hire a taxi. However the sales pitch people called our room over and over. We have been on many trips but I wouldn't go back to this place for free. Pick another place, there are many nice ones.

Awful Experience – Avoid if Booking Through Expedia

We absolutely hated our stay and will never return. If you book through Expedia, prepare to be treated like a second-class guest. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and only spoke to us when pushing their timeshare pitch. Anytime we asked for help, they told us to “contact Expedia.”

Only one restaurant was open during the day, and it was terrible—bad food, almost no variety. The Italian restaurant(only dinner) was the only decent option, but you’re only allowed to reserve it once. After that, you're stuck with room service, which was sadly the best food we had.

We had reliable transportation arranged (as we’ve done on dozens of Mexico trips), but the resort refused to assist us and told us to leave the area—just because we didn’t book directly with them.

Don’t expect a beach: it's rocky, steep, and completely unusable. The two pools are small, and there’s zero entertainment or atmosphere. It was boring and disappointing from start to finish.

Most guests had different wristbands, while ours had the Expedia logo—clearly marking us as low-priority. We understand tiered pricing, but this level of exclusion and poor service was unacceptable.

After visiting Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum, and Isla Mujeres over the years, this was by far the worst resort we’ve experienced. We’ve already warned friends and family—don’t waste your money here.

Had a terrible experience towards the end of my stay. We had booked the saloon appointment, but my wife got sick so I called one hour before the appointment time to cancel. The manager on duty insisted that I will still be charged for no show since we did not cancel 24hrs in advance. I explained that I could not foresee sickness 24 hrs. in advance, but he still refused to accept. He told me that the only solution not to be charged is to see a doctor and get a doctor's not. We contacted our doctor in the USA who advised that the best action was to fly back home and get medical attention there since we could have missed our flight if we decided to see a local doctor. After spending thousands of dollars to stay at this high end resort, a very insensitive manager can spoil your entire experience for a no show charge of $50. Dealing with this in addition to a sick wife is a bad experience that I had to share!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and the A/C kept it nice and cool all day and night! The activity at the party pool was Excellent! Jonathan and Pedro deserve a medal for entertaining us all day!! The food was better than any resort we’d ever stayed in Cancun. We’d definitely be back!!

I cannot say enough about this resort.

My wife and I just spent a week here and we did NOT want to leave. Everyone from the wait staff, bartenders and entertainers was phenomenal top notch service. Shout out to Johnathon and his crew for making our pool days and evenings exciting and welcoming. You guys are amazing and deserve a raise! Miguel and his crew at The Bar were so attentive and had our drink orders memorized by the second day.

It was our anniversary and my wife’s birthday and cleaning service brought up champagne and cute cards saying happy birthday and happy anniversary. They even brought balloons into the room on her birthday. The room service always kept the mini fridge stocked with beers, water, and soda and the room was always tidy when we returned from the pool in the evening.

Room service was always prompt. No longer than 30minutes. Even when we were placing wild drunk orders at 2am. The waiters were also very aware and cautious with my wife’s food allergies. I cannot say enough good about the wait staff.

They even had nesting sea turtles every night on the beach around midnight. We would bring our drinks out on the beach and watch the turtles burrow and lay their eggs.

Overall wonderful experience and cannot wait to return in the near future. Thank you to everyone at Sun Palace who were part of our stay. We are truly appreciative of you all!
