Kind and responsive staff, comfortable and cool room, lots of fun activities and awesome to access the night club at hotel next door. My only complaint was the food quality was poor even at the restaurants. But I expect that from an all inclusive- the drinks were great!

Staff was friendly, clean room, beautiful ocean view. Hotel located 15 mins from airport and on the beach. The two buffets were really good, nice selection of food. We were surprised that we had to ask for guacamole. Out of the three restaurants we enjoyed the Asian one the best. People put towels on lounge chairs early am to reserve and we had a daily hunt for lounge chairs. This shouldn’t be allowed. Beach was nice but water was rough. Lounge bar closed at 11Pm and had no ambiance. Only option to have drinks later than 11 pm was a five minute walk over to the sister resort’s sports bar/disco that was open until 1 am. Pathway to sister resort kinda sketchy.
No outdoor bar at night after pool bar closed, we were disappointed that we had to have drinks inside and the bar was closed at 1 am.

The rooms were very good and comfortable , the only drawback was that the ocean view did not have a porch. The restaurants had a very diverse options for food. The pool had average servers as they were mostly looking out for tips rather then good service.

The staff was very courtesy. Id give food at restaurants that required a reservation 8/10. All bar staff was well trained. I do believe drinks were watered done. The Friday beach party was awesome. Ive been to Cancun 40 to 45 times. And thats a first. Overall, job well done.

Room had a beautiful ocean view and housekeeping did a great job each day. However we booked a room with jetted tub on balcony and the jets did not work. We called to ask for it to be fixed several times, each time they would act like they knew nothing about it and then finally after 2 receptionist conspired behind the wall of reception for 5 minutes, they came with a video on a cellphone of water in a tub and said ‘see it works, they can show you how to use it.’ We had a good laugh.. we don’t need someone to show us how to fill a tub and push a button. But what do you know.. we returned to our room later that day and it was actually fixed.
The only thing good at the buffet was the Mexican coffee. Only able to get a reservation at the restaurants 2x in 5 days. Come to find out they make 2 of three available to guests at the sister resorts. And the times we did get in the tables were 80% empty. Not to mention the pool which was very over crowded (available to sister resorts as well) and impossible to get a lounge chair unless you go down the night before and throw a towel over them, which they say is against the rules yet EVERYONE dos it. We spent 7 hours at the pool one day and a row of chairs was held with someone stuff and never used, this needs to be fixed immediately. Did get some nice pictures but will not stay here again.

The layout of the resort and beach were beautiful. Clear water, clean beach.

The food and service were disappointing. The bar opens at 11am and closes at 11pm and often earlier. They seem understaffed, sometimes waiting for drinks at the buffet or I helpful myself to coffee because they never came.

The options at the buffet seem limited and hardly any authentic Mexican options. I saw guacamole once at the lunch buffet.

The resort seems clean, but outdated. Not many rooms with balconies available which wasn’t clear when booking. The railing on the balcony was wobbly.

The app wasn’t great and the restaurants often had availability when you go in person instead of using the app.

22 out of 32 people in our group got sick with stomach issues. I question the cleanliness of the glassware and some of the food, but the resort was able to accommodate a late checkout for a family with us that had a sick child, but only after providing all the names and room numbers of the people that got sick.

People in the Facebook group seem to have mixed reviews, perhaps members have a different experience. I wouldn’t book this resort again.

I travel to Mexico once a year and I had better experiences at other resorts.

There seemed to be limited amenities and limited à la carte options. It was very difficult to book the à la cartes as everything was always booked up but the restaurants did not look fully booked.

The resort kept running out of beer or wouldn’t serve until 11am and cut off was 11pm which was unrealistic.

FOOD was a 3 out of 10. If you care at all about food don’t stay here. My husband got food poisoning from the buffet omelet and so missed a whole da at the beach. Buffet isn’t open certain days so you are left to the snack bar by the pool which is worse than Golden Corral. The hot food is gross, we only ate fruit, salads and bread. Drinks would make it to us when we were done eating. The outdoor pizzeria is decent but only open on certain days. Some days there was no coffee at the lounge/coffee bar area.

BAR, only 1 bar and the line is usually long to wait for a drink. The blended drinks are the worst we have had.

ATMOSPHERE was all about the pool party. So if you like to party at the pool then this is for you. They do a lot of activities for guests at pool area.

BEACH was a 9/10. Clean, beautiful shallow area for swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling. There are some large boulders at some of the shore line to break waves so you can’t swim there obviously. We stayed on the beach all day everyday. No waiters serve the beach area. No umbrellas or shade at beach just FYI. You have to grab and carry your chairs out to the beach.

ROOM was very clean, we were on floor 1 facing the road/dock. Bathroom was nice, beds are good. We had a jacuzzi tub on our balcony which was nice. There is no conditioner in the shower supplies, only shampoo and soap. One night we awoke to hammering at 12:30am.

We will not stay here again and DO NOT recommend.

We stayed for 10 nights at GR Solaris Caribe celebrating our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience.
The newly renovated hotel has a lovely Greek-Mediterranean vibe—designers did an excellent job.
The service was exceptional, staff is very kind, and the food was excellent. Thank you for the special honeymoon treat—it meant a lot.
Carlos at the deli and Andrew, the yoga instructor, were outstanding, and housekeeping was impeccable everyday.
Special kudos to the chef at Bogavante for an outstanding menu and dinner.
Breakfast also offered a great variety of options and place was very lovely.
We highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.

Wifi is very slow. The reservation restaurant can’t access to the website. We stayed 4 nights but only can book our last night reservations at 9pm (only that available time on their app).

We went to the reception asked to helping for another the reservation restaurant and told her the reason why we can’t book. The lady on the reception said the price all inclusive we paid for ONLY ROOM and BUFFET (I still have the proof what she said). I am wondering what mean “ALL INCLUSIVE”.

After met the manager Maria, she said the policy resort “ALl INCLUSIVE” included for room, buffet and 1 compliment restaurant. Even though she helped us to book another reservations, honestly I am very disappointed and not happy at all.

We traveled 5-8 times to Cancun every year and stayed a lot of different resorts in Cancun but only this resort got that issue.

Do not book this resort!!! The food was nasty, the tv speaker did not worked for the entire 6 days we were there, the resort runs a membership scam forcing you to participate in a 90mins long presentation then demanding you sign up and pay 10,000 usd and then had an attitude when we refused. The hotel is run down with little to no maintenance, the hot & cold water does not function properly and the staff pretends to not know English when you make any complaint. Don’t waste your money booking here the food is so nasty it made me sick and I had to buy food for my entire trip.

We kinda enjoyed the hotel, the elevators were fast and never too crowded. It is definitely an older hotel and the walls are paper thin. We heard furniture moving, every door on our floor shut and someone screaming a floor below. The room was okay. We had an annoying noise at the beginning. We Asked the front desk and they said “it happens”. But it was pretty constant. My husband found a maintenance guy in the hallway- He came to check it out and it was a leaky valve on the water and he fixed it right away.
The food was okay. My husband enjoyed it mostly. An okay variety but I wanted more simple food and more fresh fruit. Never have I been to Mexico and not had a ton of fresh fruit. Myself and my kids are picky so ate the same foods over and over. There was one night at dinner, there was absolutely no food My kids would eat, so we had to go upstairs and order room service.
A little repetitive having the same options for lunch every day. Our last day here they seemed to be out of lots of different food and everybody was very slow to get things done.
The entertainment team was fun. The music was a bit loud but we wanted to be near the kids pool so we put up with it. We did enjoy the pool space and easy access to the beach with more controlled entry back to the resort.
Good variety of drinks. Though there was inconsistency with the pool bartenders. We started with the menu from the app- they didn’t know some drinks regularly. Their excuse was the menu changed….

Due to an error in the reservation created by Expedia, the hotel charged me an additional amount for my child. I had entered my children’s details correctly at the time of booking. Despite this, the reservation reflected incorrect information, which the hotel refused to honor without additional payment.

I contacted Expedia immediately and spent nearly two hours working with their support team, but the issue was not resolved. During this time, my family — including a one-year-old infant — was forced to wait in the hotel lobby without a room after a long journey. This situation was exhausting, stressful, and completely unacceptable.

With no resolution from Expedia and no alternative offered, I had no choice but to pay the additional amount out of pocket simply to get a room for my family.

This experience reflects a clear failure in booking accuracy and customer support.

We had a great time at Royal Solaris during Christmas. The property is clean, well kept and safe. Every room has a view of the sea or the bay. The staff are welcoming, hardworking and accommodating. The pool and beach are clean. The food was delectable and in great variety - hot buffet and chef stations cooking to order at every breakfast and dinner. We loved the inclusion of traditional Mexican food with every meal service. One night, there was even a raw bar at dinner. Food options by the pool were also very good and freshly made, including pizza, burgers and fries, tempura vegetables, sushi. This place also knows how to party - entertainment was daily ranging from a DJ, foam pool party, games, live rock cover band, to Santa meet and greet for kids. We liked the diverse visitor crowd too, including Latinos, Americans, Europeans, Asians, families with small kids, teens, older generation folks, and just couples. Would definitely recommend!

We left the hotel to eat out because we couldn’t find anything we liked to eat at the hotel. In addition, the fact that we could only have 1 reservation per night to eat was crazy to me. So if I had a reservation at 6:30 and wanted to eat at another restaurant at 8:30 I couldnt do that.

Pros: Had a great trip here with kids. They had a good time in the pools and kids area all day! We would come back, as it was a good value. Pools, beach, and outdoor areas were nice, views from ocean-view room were truly great!

Cons:

Food: was not good unfortunately, despite there being a good amount of options. (Kids mostly ate hotdogs and pizza and desserts.) Things were either undercooked or burnt under heatlamps. Lots of the food handling didn’t seem too clean. We were here on mostly weekdays but on the weekends they were not able to keep up with the buffet food at the snackbar.

Cleanliness: A couple times common restrooms and drains were backing up and there was no soap.

WiFi: Absolutely horrible. My partner needed to work during the trip in order for us to be able to come on the dates we booked. There was only WiFi on Wednesday. From Thurs-Sat there was no WiFi at all in the rooms and only occasionally intermittently in common areas.

The staff was friendly I will say however something’s did rub me wrong . I tried to order a Jameson drink at the bars and was told it only one bar that has it okay I went there to only be told the bar was only for members and didn’t have the option to pay for it. I went to the front desk to inquire and was told this is the policy.. I have never been turned down to spend my OWN money ? I was told manger would come assist me and never did. No steak knives at All to eat with steak you just have to struggle with a butter knife, no straws at all. All the food is primarily Mexican which I do enjoy however more diversity is definitely needed at the buffets and several times food trays were empty.

I came here with my mom and 2 teenagers and we all loved it! Room was big enough for 4 of us. We had it cleaned every day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was great with many choices. Hotel has its own store with everything you need for vacation (swimming suits, sunscreens, shirts and shorts, etc). Beach is clean with plenty of seats. We were absolutely happy with our stay!

we only stayed at your hotel 1 night of our 4 night stay. I hope that our unfortunate stay will be fully refunded as we had into multiple issues at your hotel as noted with the front office manager. from leaking roofs and no hot water. plus everything was closed including the kids pool and kid area due to leaking. I was advised to make a full report with the hotel reservation manager about our unpleasant stay.

The staff overall was what made the stay very enjoyable. Always willing to help. One server stood out, Tello, super helpful and charismatic. Also, a chef, Xavi, was so sweet and replaced a lost straw with a cute cup and note. Facilities are what need updating.

Staff was wonderful especially lupita and Mayra at the pool bar. But we were woken up to furniture being moved next door, the food was okay. The blankets were very thin and the towels were rough.

This is the 4th time staying at this hotel and their food definitely changed.-4 out of 6 of us got sick after the 1st day and another one on the 2nd day 😞.

This hotel is a little older, but the staff and the service makes up for it. Food is good and the best part is they share amenities with its sister more modern hotel next door. So you can use their restaurants and other services.

Really 3 Star Hotel
This is a budget hotel like La Quinta status. Food is under seasoned. All restaurants expect buffet requires reservations via download their app. One waitress for the pool and none for beach area. Drinks watered down. Staff very friendly. Not a lot of activities for the kids just pool. Room was spacious and cleaned everyday. Recommend if your family is on a budget not great for couples. 15min from airport, use uber, it’s cheaper than taxi.

Everything is very clean, the food has good variety, the entertainment is great, and the staff is exceptional. One day I was certain I’d lost my phone - the security team was so attentive and helpful. I could hardly believe that they literally walked everywhere with me, looking in bushes, tracking the “find my phone app” etc. I have the sense that the staff isn’t just nice because they have to be but because they are just genuinely kind and caring people.
