The only problem we had was not being able to make charges to our room. According to the front desk, it was a \"problem with the system\". On our last night, we ate at Stone & Sea. The food was over-the-top good.

Place is close to airport . Only thing can use upgrade is food . It’s not that great . Need better selection for buffet at night . Service out on patio is slow . Tub was dirty when we first walked in but once we called it in they came right away . Shower doesn’t drain well. Tiles are set for water to settle on one side instead of the side where drain is . So you’re stuck with dirty water as you shower. Don’t know if all rooms are like that but ours was . Staff to book excursions was amazing !! Check was easy .

The property was nice but too far from the busy/central part of the hotel zone. There is nothing nearby but other hotels. No shops. No restaurant choices. The food at the hotel was someway expensive. Every else was great. If I come to Cancun again, I will stay closer to the marina. Beach was nice. Pool was clean and warm. Staff was super friendly.

Checked in after a full day of travel only to find an extremely dirty room that had clearly not been cleaned. The toilet was broken and there was urine on the seat. Despite the condition of the room, the staff would not move us to another room. Instead, we had to wait on the balcony until nearly 10 PM while housekeeping cleaned it. To make matters worse, management refused to credit us for the first night and would not even offer a late checkout for the inconvenience. Very disappointing experience.

The good: The room was clean, the view is nice, the food is great at the sports bar, amenities are decent.

The bad: The staff was not so helpful a couple of times. Staff was pushing to move the car fast, even if I was just dropping the bags for a few minutes! The fridge in the room was not working and the A/C was cool (72 F) but not able to handle a lower temperatures, pool closes at 8pm.

I booked a few days at this property this past week. I had a conference at the JW Marriott earlier in the week and wanted. A few days to relax and pamper myself. I booked the king ocean view room with balcony and was not thrilled to be on the ground level as a single female but that’s not my complaint. I had tiny little bugs all over my room - bathroom counter and walls, table surfaces in the main room and I didn’t notice til I was leaving that they made their way to the bed and my back and arms have tons of bites. I did call the front desk and they said the maid will take care of it. They came back every day maybe because I was on ground level? The shower on full blast was very low pressure the first 2 nights and the last night was barely a trickle. Aside from my room the property was nice with plenty of beach chairs and chairs by the several pools. All staff was friendly and helpful. I just wish they would have moved me to a different room and when I asked I was told that’s the only room left with a balcony/patio.

Only thing half decent at the hotel was the activities by the pool. Food/Drinks extremely over priced. Absolutely appalled by the service from the check in staff. On our honeymoon was advised all room types were available but with a hefty charge. Would not stay again. We changed rooms twice due to noise and even then we only had a room change after convincing the concierge staff to speak to the front desk for us as they would not help us at all.

Kind of dated place. Not even a desk to do any work. They do not accept cash. We tried their Sports Bar and their premium Sea and Stones. The food at both places was horrible. Only thing we enjoyed was the guacamole at the Sports bar. No other restaurants nearby so walked to Oxxo and had great tacos and tortas. One star for food. Five stars for friendly employees

Pros: very friendly and courteous staff. Great outdoor and pool area . Excellent beach access. Good location from airport.

Cons: main hallway from elevator to rooms need cleaning. The bedroom was fine with no issues but the bathrooms need renovatiob. Toilet seats were flaking and areas in shower and bathtub. Was a bit disappointed with the standard.

The breakfast was good and the Italian restaurant was delicious, i recommend despite other reviews I read. The sports pub could use some help in the food and service category. An extra 4L bottle in the hotel store was 190 pesos compared to 46 pesos across the street and 32 pesos in the supermarket.

Heavenly bed, great A/C, quiet room, excellent staff. We enjoyed the (deserted) poolside and Oceanside palapas, the food is ok (try Navios ~10 minute walk, for an amazing evening ambiance!). The hotel was exactly what we expected, the room large enough, extra balcony was a nice touch for morning coffee. Recommend for a low key vacation (if you like lazing and reading). If you want life, take an Uber to pretty much anywhere. Ocean had enough seaweed to make swimming in waves mildly annoying.

This property is nicely situated with plenty of seating and pool area. It is more of a timeshare property therefore Marriott members do not get their typical perks like free breakfast. Currently, they have a significant seaweed issue washing up onto the beach. A disappointment for me was the pricing of their marketplace goods. An example would be that a medium size water would cost almost $10 Canadian at the market.
Be prepared for that and take your own water as they only give you two per day under normal conditions in your room. We did ask for more and received more without any question. The Restaurant see and Stone is very good but priced as fine dining but I will repeat that the food is exceptional. Overall, I rated this property as a three because of some of the challenges that we had there. Finally, they did do a very nice thing for us and had some fruit and nuts delivered to our room for our anniversary, which I do think was likely a direct result of some of the challenge that we had I’ll be it still a very nice gesture

The beach was unfortunately completely overrun with seaweed, making it unusable. Our room was very comfortable, and the pools were nice, although the \"hot tub\" was not hot. The dinner restaurant was a little pricey, but the food and the beachfront location was excellent. Parking was very convenient.

We did not sit by the pool. The buildings and lay out were somewhat odd and oversized. The room was great. We went north a ways to enjoy the beach, as there was too much weed on the beach and in the water to enjoy the beach by the resort. The other Westin location where we had the presentation was much nicer. Our concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The breakfast was delicious. I would have loved to see more authentic Mexican dishes. I think if you incorporate that, people will eventually adjust to a more authentic Mexican menu. I was really pleased with the different activities offered to guests poolside. The staff was super helpful and accommodating throughout the resort. Overall, we had a great experience and super relaxing time at the Westin. We'll do it again. Thank you!

Hotel was very good! We had a great view of the beach and easy access to all pools and facilities. Our room was very ample and with all that you may need, but it needed maintenance, shower door didn´t close and seemed as it was to fall off its hinges, and the bathroom walls needed some maintenance as well. Buffet was ok. There is a surf wave pool which was awesome! Our son had a blast.

We really enjoyed our stay! Room was clean and a good size. Really enjoyed the pool area and how it is right on the beach. Our toilet was leaking the first night we arrived, however the hotel staff was very responsive and kind and helped switch our room right away. Overall, our whole family enjoyed it.

Enjoyed our ocean, balcony room. Loved to stay on the water without having to stay in an all-inclusive, but have access to resort amenities, pool side dining, dining for each meal of choice, multiple pools and walking on the beach. Only downfall was the weeds, took away from the beauty of the beach. They did clean up one area, unsure how often they do this, as I know it is a large undertaking for the entire area.

We stayed there for a night just to catch our flight next morning. The place is very big, right on the beach. Super fast check-in. We were around 2 hours early, but our room was ready. Just fill up form and you are all set.
They have lot of pools, some water activities - we didn’t have time to explore all those.
View of the ocean is amazing. Only the toilet is not up to the standard we expect from Westin. The flash acts weird, does not clean in one shot. Sometimes it seems it is clogged but it is not.

Overall a good place to spend vacation except few minor glitches.

We had such an amazing stay at The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun!

They kindly allowed us an early check-in at 9 AM, which was incredible after a long trip, we were so grateful for that.

A special thank you to Ricardo, an exceptional concierge who truly made our stay unforgettable. He helped us with all our tour bookings, provided maps, arranged our massage appointments, and guided us through everything so smoothly. He is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely cares about guests.

All the staff were excellent, a perfect 10 out of 10, extremely polite and helpful, from reception and cleaning to the restaurant and other employees. We only had two reservations about our stay: we had previously requested a room with an ocean view as it was a trip for my wife and my birthday, but this was not granted. Perhaps due to hotel policy, the staff offered us this room but at an additional cost of $40 per night. They should allow this choice to be made available on the website at the time of booking, specifying which room a guest could choose, you understand? Another issue was that we arrived home with a very intense itch all over our bodies. We don't know about the towels, bed linens, pool linens, chairs, or anything else. Please pay attention to the cleanliness of these items and the carpets in the hallway on the same floor as the reception area.
