Some staff were awesome and very hospitable but we found most of them to be very unhappy.

We spent most of our time at the main pool, which had lots of entertainment's, but music itself was very dull most of the day.

We had a room with a partial ocean view on the 2nd level, so we did not see a big part of it (just a little in the corner) but the view was stinning - the swimming pool with the palms and the sky. Rooms were clean and got serviced every other day unless you ask for more often, which is for sustainability. I liked that. The biulding has nice architecture and interior is very good. The only negative coment we have is the bathroom doesn't have air vent. It is placed outside of it by the sink. Great welcoming staff. You can relax or have fun. The hotel is nearby interesting atractions like the Nature Jungle toor (on the lagoon) and the Maya museum for history and art on a walking distance. There is staff that helps you to book excursions or provide interesting activities in the hotel properties. Evening shows and nice restaurants on site as well.Both beautiful and entertaining. The beach site is nicely incorporated in the guests life with a bar and umbrelas. Shezlongs and towels are provided. The outside area is nicely created on a few levels with 3 large pools, jacuzzi, and a kid's pool. The hotel privides a free shuttle to the shopping mall, which we did not have time to go. From and to the airport you need to pay for transport unless you are a VIP level, which we did not pay for but got a good deal through Expedia. There are nice stores in the hotel that you can find anything you need or want. I recommend it for your Cancun vacation. We felth safe and secure.

The main negative aspect of our stay was a serious safety issue. The hotel provided a crib for my daughter that broke in the middle of the night. Fortunately, she was not hurt, but the situation was very frightening for her and for us. After the incident, she became scared to sleep in the replacement crib, and we were also worried about the possibility of something similar happening again.

The hotel staff did respond the next day with a visit, offered medical assistance, and provided some gestures to try to make the situation right, which we appreciated. However, it raises concerns about how something like this could happen in the first place. Either there is a lack of quality control over the cribs provided to guests, or there are gaps in the hotel’s internal safety processes. Had we been a bit less fortunate, or if the child had been younger, the outcome could have been much worse.

Another downside is that the hotel is very strict about not allowing guests to take food to their rooms. Since room service can take 45 min to arrive, this policy can be inconvenient when traveling with young children.

We also had an issue with the bathroom being clogged. Maintenance came to fix it while we were out, but unfortunately they left the bathroom in a very poor state, with an awful smell. Even the cleaner couldn’t believe how their employee could have left it like that.

I would like to highlight the staff who work very hard and try their best to assist guests.

We did a little resort hop halfway through our trip, and wow — we are so glad this was our final stop! It ended our vacation on such a high note.

The food was excellent (consistently good, which isn’t always the case at resorts), and the drinks were really well done. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We weren’t able to get a king bed, which was a bit of a bummer, but honestly it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The beach access was easy and convenient, and I really appreciated the size of the resort — not too big, not overwhelming, and it felt easy to navigate. We also met some great people during our stay, which made it even more memorable.

Such a great way to wrap up our trip — we’d absolutely come back as well as recommend!

The entire resort was spotless! Even at the end of the day the public restrooms by the swim up bars were super clean! Food was good, staff was excellent. We loved Patricia by the kid pool area and Enrique by the Thai beds and palapas. We will be back!!

Our toilet was leaking raw sewage from the bottom. It took 4 days to get moved and the new room was a downgrade. We ended up with to small beds, a worse view and no tub. Also 2 days we had to call because they never stocked our minibar. Food was average

Clean room, good service and many amenities. The problem was that by 7 am, all chairs by alll pools were “reserved” with towels. There should be a system as in other hotels where the pools Open at 8:40 am or anytime. That’s when people would be allowed to walk in and reserve seats. All towels put before that, are collected by the guards and thrown in a corner

The hotel is good, but not extraordinary — especially the food, which is unfortunately mediocre at best.

That said, the amenities are great, the staff is AMAZING (big shout out to Antonio from the beach bar, Francisco, Geraldo, and Enrique), the beach access is excellent, and the ocean views are superb. It’s very family-oriented, and the rooms are good. However, the apartment doors are extremely loud when closing, so you’ll likely hear doors being “slammed” throughout the night.

Overall, despite the food, we had a good experience. The Italian restaurant is the best option. I wouldn’t recommend the Brazilian restaurant — it was the worst food and meat I’ve ever had (and I’m Brazilian).

It was ok. The group that I was with said they’re never gonna come back because the service had gone downhill. They had come here every year for about five years. They said the hotel cut back on just about everything. The drinks were a week and the food was just OK. There’s no full day buffet like other all inclusive, but there are other restaurants.
The beach were nice.. Unless you like soft drinks, they don’t cater to nonalcoholic customers.

I was 12 weeks out from hip surgery & had trouble with no bars in washrooms & just getting to beach was 5 flights of stairs! There are ramps but they are steep w/o rails.

Pros- comfortable beds, friendly, nice staff. Attentive to needs or wants when requested.

Cons- The attempt at their travel membership, food is almost inedible and cold, with the exception of the fresh omelet bar, drinks are watered down, kids in the “adults only hot tub”, ocean and beach is nice, but could never find a chair for the entire 4 days we were there, never once got to enjoy a beach chair because they were taken very early every morning, dinner reservations have to be made daily at 9 am, the Mexican restaurant onsite is probably the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life (no exaggeration).

Do yourself a huge favor and stay at a nicer place. I have no idea how this place is rated so high on Expedia. The only thing I can think of is either some of these reviews are paid for reviews or people don’t know the difference in a good quality place.

I had a great stay overall. The trip was relaxing, enjoyable, and in a convenient location. I would rate it 79 out of 100.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The king bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and we always had hot water. The TV had good channels. Housekeeping did not replace our towels for a few days, and we noticed tiny black bugs in the room. Not sure if that is normal, but they were noticeable. Our room location was not ideal because we could hear loud guests in the hallway late at night, which sometimes woke us up.

Most staff were friendly and attentive. Service was good in most restaurants, though when busy attention dropped a bit.

Food was better than expected, not amazing but not bad. BBQ night at the buffet was good. Breakfast was okay and some items seemed reheated. One restaurant was the weakest, but the sushi spot and La Piña were very good. Fresh hashbrowns were a highlight.

Pools were beautiful and the beach was gorgeous even with red flags most days. The coffee spot and jacuzzi pool areas were great. Weather was windy and cooler than expected but still enjoyable.

Location is convenient, next to Oxxo, with Dominos and a pharmacy across the street, about 15 minutes from the Isla Mujeres ferry and 20 minutes from the main party area.

Expedia VIP felt minimal. Just a labeled section, a $75 credit not stackable, upgrade only if available which we did not get, plus early and late check we did not need. Overall a solid stay.

My recent stay at the Wyndham was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with fresh linens and all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated how quiet and peaceful the environment was — it made it easy to rest and recharge after long days.

First, you asked!! First room I paid for online in the package was a king size bed. Wasn’t when we were apparently upgraded. Two doubles! I won’t even mention we had to move rooms to another due to toilet leaking all over floor. Not blocked up, overflow from top tank. Second room was promised on our third day due to availability and was promised a king. Nope. Wrong again. We were given another 2 doubles. We gave up. It’s ridiculous. However, bar that, the staff in most areas were amazing. Unfortunately not a satisfactory stay and I will not ever return. Do better. I just wanted to relax and enjoy the sun so we did our best to do so given the issues. Mrs was even more upset. Failing grade!

We received an email the day before arrival offering a complimentary upgrade to a 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom villa as an Expedia Platinum member. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful and was the highlight of our stay.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing.

Food:
The buffet food was often only lukewarm and did not appear to be kept at food-safe temperatures. Sushi was very good, the taco pool bar was decent, and the Italian restaurant was okay. The steakhouse was disappointing — do not order the ribeye. There was a significant food-poisoning issue during our stay: 3 out of 6 in our group became very ill, and we spoke with many other guests who were also sick.

Pools & Drinks:
All pools were extremely cold and not enjoyable. Drinks varied greatly depending on the bar — some were good, others poorly made.

Staff & Entertainment:
Whiskey from the entertainment team was amazing, and a few staff members at the jacuzzi bar were friendly and helpful. However, overall staff morale was very low. Most staff appeared unhappy and disengaged, which really affected the atmosphere. We did not experience the friendly, upbeat service expected at a resort.
Entertainment was extremely poor and a major letdown.

We spoke with many disappointed guests who said they would not return — and unfortunately, we feel the same.

Excellent grounds, very clean and well maintained. All rooms have either a view of the Ocean which provides superior views of Sunrise. The Lagoon side grants stunning views of the Sunset. Food was very good! Staff all very attentive and friendly, especially after a good tip. Many activities for kids and a kid centre if you want to drop them off for a day of water slides, face painting and many other activities. Would definitely recommend for a family or wedding venue. Even great for couples. Maybe not the best for solo travellers as most were couples or families. Very relaxing atmosphere but if you want to dance at night, the disco tech was decent. I would only recommend a change to the playlist that was played daily and more day time activities - consistent with Viva Wyndham chains.

I absolutely loved this resort. It was clean and the staff was incredible. The breakfast buffet was delicious with tons of options. My favorite thing for lunch was the sushi bar. They had lots of choices and everything was fresh. My only complaint was dinner. I wish there was an Asian resturant on site. I really didn’t have a dinner. That I loved, the food was often overcooked, but that is the reality when cooking for such a large amount of people.

I found the resort was not overly crowded with children and still enjoyed my stay I love that the kids had their own waterpark on the other side of the hotel. There was easy access to the beach.
