Good value for the price. The resort was very clean and the pools were lovely. The beachfront is small but it wasn’t crowded. The food choices were limited but all were very tasty. The staff was very attentive at all times.

• Pesticide smell significantly noticed in the room, but even though a big cockroach was found running on floor!!
• Food was bad, with no verities, lived mainly on salad, fruits, Pizza and boiled eggs. All cook done using margarine. Bread was of low quality. Asked for butter for toast, margarine was given.
• Gulf beach is horrible, no way to enjoy swimming.
• Staff are good, helpful and welcoming.

We originally reserved two rooms with an ocean view and a balcony. When we arrived, the hotel was full and we were offered one suite with 3 separate bedrooms located on the main floor - no ocean view and no balcony. Also, we could not leave either the window or the curtains open. We were moved to our originally reserved rooms the next day after which we had a lovely time. Thank you Juan.

The room was always spotless. There was a water leak in our bathroom which was mildly annoying- we had to put on sandals to go to the bathroom in the night. The food was good and the waiters were fantastic.

Friendly and accommodating meal service staff.
Hotel was technically wheelchair accessible, but was not wheelchair friendly. There was not enough room between tables in the dining areas to maneuver a wheelchair or rollator. Ramps were an afterthought. When one ramp would end, you had a very narrow space to cross to the completely opposite side to maneuver the next ramp.

Luis at the front is an absolute gentleman! Jhovanny went out of his way to make sure we were always comfortable and fed well. The rest of the staff were also a pleasure to be around, everyone was super considerate and attentive. Food selection was great and clean, drinks were great. Every bump we ran into was fixed instantly. Room upgraded. Pools were kept well. Our two weeks here were amazing, we didn’t want to leave!

Great resort. Second time here. Been to 9 other resorts in Riviera Maya and this one stands out. Beautiful property, plenty of pools and entertainment. The food is excellent, especially the lunch buffet by the main pool. Best we’ve had in Mexico. The beach is not the prettiest, but there’s a nice area for water-sports that is very calm. Highly recommend.

El alojamiento y los servicios del hotel fueron perfectos, fue una experiencia All inclusive excelente. La fiesta de Año Nuevo fue genial, con show de musica mexicana, baile y DJ. La habitacion con vista al mar super comfortable, y la calidad abundancia y variedad de comidas de los diferentes sectores de comida y restaurante buffet fueron excelentes. Las piletas son espectaculares, tiene una interna y 3 externas. Grandes actividades de animación durante todo el día, muy divertidas y bien conducidas por Drisdey, Alicia y el Dj Iván. Recomendamos este hotel por calidad costo/beneficio y seguramente volveremos. Gracias a todo el team del Cancun bay resort!!!! Agradecimiento especial a los mozos Miguel del buffet restaurante Faisan, a Saul y Javier de la Piña, que nos mantuvieron hidratados con prosecco todo el día.

The rooms were clean but oddly adjoining other rooms. Therefore some amenities(hair dryer and safe) were shared with the adjoining room.
The area is fairly noisy especially during holiday celebrations. A rave was positioned a block away and went on through the night and next morning. That kept the entire group I traveled with up all night.
The worst part was the food! In order to eat at the hotel restaurants, you had to make a reservation at 8:30Am the day of and no one told us that. The restaurants are not all open every day. The buffet is open every day but serves the same food every day and calls it something different. I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to good Mexican food on this trip and did not get served any.
The beach is beautiful and clean. The concierge is helpful and speaks English very well!

The place is really run down, like the worst motel you can imagine. There's a speaker blaring music all day in the pool area, which most of the windows face, so forget about relaxing in your room during the day. We turned around and left right away, willing to lose all the money -- it was that bad.

The resort had 2 main issues. (1) there was limited dining options... the main buffet had very limited selection of food & then dining. The reservation system for the select restaurant was not explained to us well. (2) The internet at hotel was horrible, 7MB download, and it only worked mostly inside our room...many common areas did not have working internet.

Our room was not available, not surprised, they did however send us to an ocean view with only 1 bed, on the first night I fell because there was 3 steps down to bed and only took 2. Other than that the staff was very good. I wish the food was better at the Japanese restaurant. The service was aweful. The worse night we had there. All in all the main restaurant was the best and along with help they have it made our trip tolerable. Paty, main dining room and Ramon, italian were two highlights. The Italian was the best food we had along with omelattes daily and lots of fruit. The young lady with her new pup named Luna was very kind and helpful also at the front desk. I wish they had better wifi though, I also found out after getting there that my phone wouldn't work, even though I called and changed my plan to allow. The phone didn't work in our room and the desk man called the ride service to find out the pickup time for our trip to the airport. They keep everything very clean and the bar service was excellent!

I’m giving this resort 2 stars mainly because most of the staff were kind, the lobby looked nice, and the property was clean. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

The Cons
There was no bottled water provided. If you wanted water at night, you had to go to the bar (if it was even open), get a glass of water, and carefully carry it back to your room without spilling it.

The room was extremely outdated and very small. Several bruises from bumping the bed frame. Steps down to bedroom were slippery. The bed was very firm. The bedding was terrible — just a sheet — and we had to request a blanket. The shower looked like something out of a high school gym.

For dinner, we were forced to use the buffet because restaurant reservations must be made by 8:30 AM and we didn't get to the hotel until 4PM. We arrived for dinner right when the buffet opened and none of the food was even warm. We tried chicken, beef, pork, potatoes — everything was room temperature, which made me afraid to eat.

We had booked for 7 nights and left after the first night. No refund was given, but at that point I just needed to get out of there. During checkout, the employee didn’t ask why we were leaving early and didn’t seem to care at all.

They also charge a $10 deposit if you need a second room key.
and they consider Captain Morgan “top shelf” and charge additional fees for it, which was surprising. No Wi-Fi

I do not recommend this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This was our first time at an all inclusive “Hotel”, we usually do resorts. I have to say the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were great. We never waited to get a drink or food. Pizza was really good, all food was good, never had a bad item. The beach is small but they had a system to keep the seaweed away which was really nice. You can also walk down the beach for quite a while which I enjoyed. This is a smaller place than we were used to but we enjoyed our selfs. The only thing I would suggest is the beds. We found them really hard. A mattress topper would go a long way. I was considering ordering one from Walmart and have it delivered. Other than that a great stay.

Clean room and grounds. Service staff was hustling while front desk staff was not (didn’t seem to care much). In a safe area even though it’s at the end of the hotel zone. Great paved running path right in front of hotel. Food was varied and tasty. Drinks were non stop. Beach was small and there’s not really a place to actually swim…you wade and do more than anything. Nice hammocks both in and out of the water. Swim up bar was advertised as a jacuzzi but was not warm. Overall a great stay.

Friendly staff, I didnt use the amenities much but they were really nice. Everything was so clean and a very good vibe. An amazing trip and will definitely come back again! I left to explore the areas mostly but it was really nice to come back to the Amazing food and beverage options! I like how they rotate the food options and restaurants open. Its a super relaxing environment and most helpful staff ive ever experienced! There are plenty of places to go shopping around and many awesome views. The perfect location. The karaoke was fun to listen to a lot of talented people were singing and elevated the experience. I really enjoyed my stay!

Hotel was clean and facilities were okay, but the food was very average (and there was not much variety), the service was very average, the beach area was very small and the entertainment was, again, very average. Also we’re unsure if it was the food or ice cubes but we both had upset stomachs from about 24 hours after we arrived until when we left (nothing severe but enough to cause discomfort and inconvenience). It wasn’t horrific for a 3 day stay for us but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer, personally. For us, it felt like more of a 3 star than a 4 star resort.

Pools are next to restaurants and bars. The pool in the resort is more standard for swimming, the two shallow pools near the beach are for drink and play.
Room is clean.
Resort is on the north of the hotel zone and close to downtown (3km, 30-40 minutes walking distance).
Buses stops are near by and is easy to go around zone and to the downtown.
Money exchange is at southbound bus stop (cross the street) with reasonable rate (Hotel can also make exchange but the rate is only good for taking the bus - 1:16, $3 is good for two round trip bus fares. Downtown stores has better exchange rate, and airport is even better.).
Food is so so if you are not stay in the hotel all the time. The restaurants are closed most of days in the week we were there except the buffet :-(
Only Sushi is good at Japanese restaurant, then main course flavor is mixed Tai and Korean, not Japanese.
The Italian restaurant only served with Pizza.

This resort is small with less pizzazz compared to the fancier resorts. There’s only a few restaurant options and the buffet was small, but we enjoyed the selection available. Food was horrible says has 3 restaurants only one was opened buffet style they had one night you can order from menu and a steak was an extra $130 even though it’s supposed to be all inclusive. Nothing to do when it rains out. Pools close way to early 6pm and 8pm. Would not stay here again. Beware of the guys selling tickets on beach for ferry if it’s cancelled they don’t give you your money back.

I was really looking forward to enjoying my stay here, but unfortunately I got diarrhea from the food served at the hotel and was sick for a few days( about 3 days). Because of this, I couldn't enjoy the amenities, the buffet experience, and enjoy the pool. I also missed the excursions I was really looking forward to, like visiting the Chichen Itza and Valladolid, as well as exploring downtown.

The staff did bring room service while I was sick, but that small effort doesn't change the fact that the food made me ill and missed the excursions. The hotel refused to take responsibility, which made the experience even worse.

Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated. Food safety should be taken more seriously, because no guest should lose days of their vacation to sickness.

To begin with, lets say THIS place should not exist. Small, poor, claustrophobic, gray, no.amenities, no beach, no water-has a pond-like paddle by the marina where all catamarans stay. No understanding what \"seevice\" means. No food is small, mote-like dining corner. Has no restaurants, no shows. Felt as I arrived into a prison. No a vacation spot where you desire to be as you pay money for your all-inclusive stay. DO NOT BOOK IT!!

Room was basic standard room overlooking an AC and 1/2 brick wall it was facing the street so was noisy at night and difficult to sleep. But I made due since it was a short trip (3 days). Staff at bar/beach/buffet were all very tentative. Need more umbrellas at the beach, had to get there early to secure one. I traveled solo, so I got a basic standard room. It faced the main road and was very noisy at night, so it was difficult to sleep sometimes. View was a brick wall and and an AC. Room was ok for a shot trip so I made due. Staff were all very tentative and friendly. Buffett was the same food, just disguised differently each meal, but filled me. If you’re a foodie definitely not for you. Overall a good place to stay for the value.

We had so many hiccups which I have explained in detail and one was the tour hook up the guests services offer too pushy and ask too many personal questions, other thing was our room was never made right during our stay, one day not clean, the next day half way serviced to nothing to the point of not getting toilet paper and water restocked, no blankets just the thin sheets, front desk phone does not work it made me make trips to front desk everyday night upon return to have supplies and blankets sent to our room. No cofee was restocked unless we asked, we were tree people my husband myself and my Doughter and only two bath towels were restocked making me asking for a third bath towel every day. I would not come back here nor recommend to anyone. Sorry.
