This is the second time we’ve been to this resort and I couldn’t recommend it more. The food, staff, amenities, and overall property are great. Only tip would be to either book poolside cabanas in advance or commit to waking up really early to secure loungers by the pool as they fill up quickly.

Our stay at Live Aqua Cancun was fantastic. The pool layout is excellent, offering a perfect balance between a lively swim-up bar and designated quiet areas for relaxation. I cannot stress this enough: the resort is kept immaculately clean. The staff across the board were friendly, and the food was consistently wonderful.
For those considering an upgrade, we booked through the VIP Club, and the club staff and butlers were exceptional—they truly elevated the experience.
Areas for Improvement
While our trip was nearly perfect, there are two things to keep in mind:
Corporate Event Interference: Occasionally, the hotel hosts events for outside companies that can intrude on the guest experience. During our stay, a pool and the hot tub were closed to accommodate private parties. It would be better if these were hosted in areas that close earlier (like the swim-up bar at 6:00 PM) to avoid displacing guests from facilities that stay open until 7:00 PM.
Nightlife Scale: The onsite nightclub and bars are fun but significantly smaller than what you might find at other major resorts. This didn't negatively impact my trip, but it’s worth noting if high-energy dancing is a priority for your itinerary.
Beach cleanup fee: The hotel charges a 5 dollar clean up fee for the beach.
Overall Verdict: I highly recommend Live Aqua for its service and atmosphere. I would definitely return! Also make sure to go to MB for habanero soup.

I am a Expedia gold member which it says that if a room upgrade available I would get it for no cost. Well there was an upgrade available for about $140 a day. The first three days there they closed down the swim up bar at 3pm for private party even tho they did not use the pool.there was a perfect spot behind the swim up bar for private parties. We were also advised that the restaurant are first come. But when we arrived at a restaurant they advised a 90 min wait. Even tho they had numerous tables available and they advised by they were reserved. So that’s when we found out about butler service. So if you have a butler you can make reservations. Very nice perk if u have it. The food is absolutely amazing at all of the restaurants however at ever restaurant they have up charges for certain food items. I think if you pay for an all inclusive it should be all food. The food staff is absolutely amazing.

The resort location was perfect with a beautiful flat beach. The staff was amazing to all of the guests. I noticed everyone was hugging each other when they were saying they’re goodbyes! I did not have a bad meal in any of the restaurants. The daily yoga in the morning with Daniel was amazing. The young man who made the fresh smoothies in the buffet restaurant was the best! He went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect juice or smoothie each morning. The entertainment staff was great. My only negative was the pool area looked like some of the tiles were coming off, but there were people there fixing them every morning. This did not take away from the beautiful pools at the resort though.

From the moment I arrived at Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun, I knew I was somewhere extraordinary — but what truly made this stay unforgettable wasn’t just the stunning ocean views or the serene infinity pools. It was the people, the impeccable cleanliness, and the flawless care poured into every single detail.

The courtesy of the staff was on another level. Every greeting felt genuine, every interaction warm and thoughtful. You’re not just welcomed — you’re embraced. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, luxurious yet inviting.

And the cleanliness? Absolutely immaculate. The rooms were kept in pristine condition at all times. Housekeeping maintained everything to perfection — crisp linens, polished surfaces, a fresh scent that made walking into the suite feel like stepping into a private sanctuary each time. Not a detail was overlooked. The room felt brand new every single day of our stay.

What truly elevated our experience, however, were the butlers — especially Maggie and Eladio. Their attentiveness and helpfulness were beyond exceptional. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them. Whether it was arranging dinner reservations, organizing special touches in the room, or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect, they did it with grace and genuine kindness. The rooms and resort are nice. Here are few things that we had issues with, the courtyard below the northeast facing rooms are very loud when there are events below. You will not sleep or hear the tv. We preferred the south pool area but they have special events in that area. We were kicked out 3 times with no notice or alternative place to go. All the other pools chairs were taken so this basically ends your outdoors for the day. To us this was disappointing since we paid to be at the resort and use the amenities like everyone else. The entertainment is ok but there is no place for them to take place. They try to do events in the 2 small bar areas that have limited seating. The last thing is that it isn't easy to get drinks by the pool and we tipped well. We ended up going to the bar to get half of our drinks.

The staff was amazing and super attentive. I would have given a 5 if the hotel didn’t smell like sewage in certain areas. It seemed like they tried to compensate for the smell by spraying perfume everywhere. My wife was covering her nose most the day. To be clear, you come to the tropics to be outside so we still had an amazing experience.

The resort as a whole is lovely, however my partner and I got a strain of ecoli (confirmed by a lab test when we came home) from something we ate or drank at the hotel. We both were extremely careful not to drink the water and even used bottled water to brush our teeth so we are not sure what caused food poisining. Half or more of our trip was spoiled by this. Anther issue we had was that the shower leaked into the bathroom and when I reported this they just came to clean up. We were not in a physical state to move around much and be without a restroom so we did not press this.

I had an excellent stay at Live Aqua Cancun - Adults Only. Everything about the resort was thoughtfully done and ideal for rest and relaxation.

The food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent, and the service was truly exceptional. Every staff member I encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I especially enjoyed the cabanas, which I highly recommend, and the heated pool was a major plus.

The amenities were excellent. All NFL games were available at the bar, which was a nice touch. The spa experience was amazing, including the hydrotherapy circuit and the massage I received, which was one of the best I’ve had.

As a solo female traveler, I felt completely comfortable staying on the resort the entire time and did not feel the need to leave. Everything I wanted was right there, and I felt safe and well cared for.

The only downside to an otherwise perfect stay was the sales pressure. I did not appreciate being upsold on a future stay or receiving a call at 8:30 AM on a Sunday inviting me to a sales meeting. That interrupted the peaceful, relaxing experience I was there for.

That said, I would absolutely stay here again and do plan to return. It is a beautiful, relaxing resort and I hope future visits remain focused on rest rather than sales.

The facility charges more but provides less. For example, we were required to pay for beach cabana services despite an abundance of empty spaces available. In addition, there were not enough umbrellas on the beach, which was disappointing.

The restaurant options are very limited, and there was no dinner buffet offered. However, after we raised our concerns — as we were a large group with 14 room reservations — the manager arranged a special sit‑down dinner for us. Chef Mario truly excelled, and the meal he prepared was exceptional.

The food and restaurants are outstanding. The hosts are genuinely caring, and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. There are outdoor grill stations every day, and the meals are not only delicious but also feel fresh and healthy. The swimming pools are beautiful, plentiful, and exceptionally clean. Overall, this truly is a great place to stay.

That said, our experience at reception was disappointing. We were initially assigned a room that we did not book ,the worst room on the ground floor,described as a “garden view,” which it clearly was not. We had to spend one night there before finally being moved to the room we had paid for. During this time, we were told no other rooms were available, even though multiple rooms were clearly available on booking websites.

Aside from this issue, the atmosphere among guests is wonderful. Everyone seems calm, respectful, and pleasant to be around, which adds to the overall experience.

Everything was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The pool area was amazing, the pool was very enjoyable, and the poolside seating was extremely comfortable.

We especially loved the pool activities like bingo and exercise sessions; they were really fun and well organized. Ludin was a very nice and funny guy who did an excellent job with the entertainment and made the activities even more enjoyable.

The only small recommendation we would give to the resort staff is to consider placing coffee creamers in the rooms, so guests can make coffee easily without needing to go downstairs or ask for them. Other than that, everything was perfect and truly met and even exceeded our expectations.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this resort.

First of all it’s a super clean resort.
Staff are friendly, positive, and courteous.
Pools are well designed & clean. Easy access to the beach with adequate shower facilities, chairs & umbrellas.
Entertainment staff (Pablo, Ricardo, and others) were wonderful & super energetic.
Gym equipment was enough as well.
Beautiful design in restaurants, and of course good quality foods.
The only thing missing can mention is that their seafood options were limited & not satisfying.
Also, the burger in the garden was below standard.
Overall, we had an amazing time & definitely we would go back again.

The property is very convenient as most restaurants and shop at one level. The staff is just amazing, from the welcoming to the check out, we were absolutely happy and we felt very welcomed. We got a room with a terrace and it was spacious and with great views. The food is absolutely amazing and so many choices. We loved the convenience of the shops including a Starbucks. The bartenders were great. Oh and we loved all the activities and shows they have. This place has us at 10/10 great job, we will be back.

Also ate at the secret garden restaurant and asked the server to recommend us the food but once we finished eating we had to pay $1,350 pesos because he had chosen from the upgraded items. I was blown away ! I feel he should told us in advance about the charge. Not sure if the hotel tries to promote that to their employees to make more money. I sign the tap didn’t want to fight but to me it’s not even about the money it’s more like there should’ve be more communication and the server should’ve told us hey I recommended this but it’s not included.

Wow what an amazing vacation at Live Aqua! It surpassed my expectations. (Ricardo, Alan, Stephany) They must be the most hard-working, efficient, friendliest staff of anywhere I have stayed. The place is beautiful, very well kept, very clean. The food was very good. Our favorite meal was at Azur the mediterranean restaurant. Although many said MB was the best, our party of 4 disagreed. Food was bland and menu choices not great. The Mexican party they threw for us on Thursday was unreal! The food, the beautiful dancers, singers, really brought the Mexican culture there and it was one of our favorite nights. Breakfast at Siete was amazing with choices to make anyone happy. The gentleman at the smoothie station was so fun to talk to! He talked to everyone in line and was so delightful! We also ordered the room service and the food was freshly prepared and beautifully presented.
The pool and the beach were spectacular. Enough chairs and beds. The pool was very clean and the staff is on point keeping it that way. The service with drinks at the pool and beach were amazingly attentive. They work SO hard. The bartenders at the bar with the swings were so much fun! We had a great time there laughing and socializing with them. The only complaint is that there never seemed to be enough towels and I'd have to find the towel guy. The only place for improvement was the Aqua Club check in and out took so long! The other couple we traveled with were in and out faster!

Hello, I would like to file a complaint regarding my recent stay and request compensation.

My experience at the property was extremely disappointing. The service I received felt noticeably different and less accommodating, and at times it felt like I was being treated unfairly or differently, possibly because I am Asian. I don’t make this claim lightly, but the way staff interacted with me compared to other guests was uncomfortable and unacceptable.

On top of that, the transportation service that was included with my reservation was supposed to take me from the hotel to the airport. Nobody arrived to pick me up, even though it was confirmed. Because of this, I was forced to pay out of pocket for a taxi at the last minute.

The room was large, clean, and well-maintained, and the food was ok+. However, the most significant issue was the severe lack of available seating in the pool area. The majority of the pool seating consisted of cabanas that required an additional fee. Furthermore, staff members removed guests' personal items to free up loungers, in hopes of receiving extra tips. Finding a free chair to relax by the pool was a constant struggle.

Had a wonderful time at this resort. Place is beautiful and hotel was amenities was great. The only thing that did not earn a 5 star was one of the resturant \"hidden garden\" every dish was just simply too salty. Despite that we me and wife still very much enjoy live aqua and will return.

Everything was amazing ! Abi was the best host during our stay along with Santos in the restaurant area as well as Sandra in the spa area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend this hotel, if you want to relax and have a peaceful gateway.
