Great little hotel.

The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. There was a lot of noise from the other guest rooms. The mini split in the bedroom worked really well. Unfortunately, the rest of the unit depended on that unit too, so the bedroom was always colder than the rest. Some outdoor things needed maintenance too. It was an easy walk to convenience stores and a few little restaurants. The staff was really friendly. I would have liked to have stayed longer and will opt for this location again if I can.

Ok so overall 3.5/5. I arrived and my room wasn’t available. They actually told me it shouldn’t have been available to book because the A/C didn’t work in the room. So they put me in a different room. They were initially trying to charge me the same price even though the room I booked was a bigger suite. The next day they fixed the A/C so we moved to the bigger suite. Also there was a in room jacuzzi that they didn’t tell me wasn’t working until I arrived. I Was still charged full price though
It was very quiet and other than the cars in front of the hotel, you would never know there were other guests.
They don’t supply small bathing towels or medium face towels so bring your own or stack up on the big ones they do provide (also pool towels)
Nobody used the pools but we did. It was cleaned each day. The outside bar is closed. It’s actually not a bar at all. Just a bar structure not a bar service . Hope that makes sense and they didn’t tell us that until we got there.
The Hotel is in the hotel zone so it’s close to everything. There are a few shopping and food places close by as well. Bed was comfortable, room temperature was great.
Lastly, The water pressure for the showers (both rooms) isn’t great at all.

The place was clean! There is a mini mart near the hotel and a few decently priced restaurants. There was a lot of space in the room. There is a door to the bathroom (I couldn’t tell in the pictures and was worried about this). The bed is just ok. Overall, we enjoyed staying here!

I love that each room is themed after different stones. The place was quaint and quiet, nestled in a neighborhood but with easy walking access to the main street where the bus could be taken. There are several restaurants and small shops nearby, including a pharmacy. I always felt safe. The pool is smaller and half covered but it was still a chill spot to hang out. The people who work there are so kind and friendly. They also offer use of their kitchen and have more amenities than they list.

Si bien no es nada extraordinario cumple con lo necesario para estar unos días en movimiento y en tránsito hacia . diferentes lugares. The property was a good budget option if you want to be economical and want to avoid the resorts. It is a good place if you intend to be roaming around the city and will be using the hotel only to crash at night like me. The room given was very spacious enough for 2. It’s nice and quiet and around 20 mins walk to the main happening area.

What I did not like about the place was that they did not have someone sitting at the reception 24 hrs and so for any problem I had to call the number listed on Google and then inform the person who picks up who will then communicate it to the guy who is somewhere in the premises. This is a major inconvenience and turn off.

This is my second stay here the first was in 2019. I really enjoyed it then. This time was a bit rougher, 7 days and no room cleaning. The outside still has the same unfinished rock facade wall from 2019 and the same construction debris. The staff was still very friendly and are the highlight of the place. It is unique and quiet.

Property was fine, food options are sufficient, distance to places of interest are not the greatest but good for a tight budget. Facilities eg. Pool and washroom, and kitchen area can be improved. If youre only here to enjoy most of the day and sleep at night on a budget then this is the place for you.

Great hotel

I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheaper option then a resort stay but something still close to the main hotel zone. The location is perfect as it has stores 5 minutes away and the main beach (playa chac mool ) is only 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk.
The hotel itself is very nice staff are friendly
I stayed in the blue diamond which was very spacious and had ac and a balcony overlooking the pool .
The only negative is there is no door between the toilet and room only covered by the wall.

Not the quietest place , but its good value. safe area. 15-20 min walk to beaches, grocery store. Topaz room needs a new mattress, sagging on the side close to the tv. Wish Topaz room had a min fridge. Strong cool AC, hot water in shower lasts 1 minute then starts to cool. Excellent wifi strength. Pool was maintained every morning, pool lounnge are swept and outdoor furniture kept clean.

This was the single worst hotel experience I've ever encountered. Since we were in Mexico I was careful to choose a hotel that stated there was English speaking staff, there was not. The room itself was stuffy and had an almost stale towel smell. We opened the windows and turned the fan on the highest setting to air it out. The plumbing to the bathroom sink leaked onto the floor. The shower barely dribbled any water out. We had to keep refilling our water bottle in the sink and pouring it on ourself to wash our hair and body off. One of the bathroom lights did not work and the mirror had rust around it. The towels were old, frayed, and rough. The comforter on the bed was worn thin in areas and had frayed seams.
The pool was not kept clean and although it was very hot we absolutely did not want to swim in it. The door to our room was not even sealed, you could see into the hallway. And so you could also hear everyone outside of the room as well. But then! The worst thing of all happened! Some complete stranger swiped a room card to our room, opened the door, and walked right in. While we were in bed! All he said was, \"Oh sorry, guess they gave me the wrong room card.\" Seriously?! We ended up moving furniture to barricade the door shut the rest of the night. But regardless, neither of us were able to sleep. At one point we even considered checking out and just paying for another room somewhere else. It was horrible!

Stayed in 2 different rooms, both experiences were the same.

Both rooms: all sheets, towels were very stained and very old
Shower water smelled like sewage
Pool filter was not functioning at all, quite dirty
Mold growing on ceilings
Ceilings cracking and breaking
Pillows were lumps of nothing, and stained
Beds very hard, and stained
Wifi was almost unusable in both rooms
Not very quiet, couldn’t get room to be dark enough

No insects / bugs

Decent location, closest beach access is 1.6 km away. Cannot access beach from across the street.

Staff tried their hardest with what they were given. They tried to bleach the sheets and towels, but they are too old to be bleached again.

Cleaning lady did a good job every time, she did everything within her power to make it clean. Reception lady was very nice and helpful.

This place is starting to really get old and broken down, owner does not invest enough in proper upkeep. Will not return.

If renovations are done, it could be a nice place. Or at least get new sheets and towels! It’s gross!

Casa Maraf Hotel is a great value! The location is a short walk from a few food options, and Tortuga Beach and the main Hotel District are also not far!
The location is quiet and safe, and the room has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The staff are incredibly helpful!

The property was poorly maintained. The shower in the bathroom would not turn off, the toilet was broken, the wifi didn’t work and there were plastic sheets over the mattress. The staff also disappeared from the property in the evening and were difficult to contact. I would not recommend staying there.

One of the Best Budget Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone.

Staffs were super friendly. Staff helped me to check-in 3 hours early. The room was very clean and spacious. I wanted to stay here more, but it was already booked. I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back to Cancun. The location is little far away from the main club area, but it’s good exercise to walk. There are convenience stores and restaurants in 3 minutes walk, so it was convenient.

I was recently in this place and I love it. It’s close to everything like restaurants, beaches, downtown, public transportation etc. The area is known to be a private area which provide an extra security. You can literally be walking at night without no safety concerns.
This will definitely be my go to place anytime I visit Cancun.

This little hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk from the Presidente Intercontinental on the main road, and within longer walking distance of Playa Tortugas for the Isla Mujeres ferry. Or just take the bus that comes on the main road every few minutes!

The hotel itself is quiet, well-laid out, and offers the basic amenities. (Only 9 rooms, so there isn’t always someone on site, just FYI.). A/C, TV with Roku (Netflix/Prime/Spotify), and two pillow each! The person who met us at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We’re low-maintenance and this was a low-maintenance, chill place. I would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget or who is spending their time mainly elsewhere.

Also, just out the front gate on Calle Quetzal is a taxi stand and across the street is a small shop for things you may have forgotten, snacks, etc. On the main road just as you turn into Calle Quetzal is a row of little food places and a pharmacy, and a convenience store/gas station. Couldn’t be more conveniently located!

Be aware if you arrive late and let them know, because most the time there is nobody at the reception.
The water in the shower does not run properly, just a little jet. The smell in the washroom was terrible.
The water from the shower, also runs out, getting all the floor wet around the toilet.

for some reason, with all the nice hotels in the Zona, I picked this one. Must have been the pictures and the reviews. Their ad is deceiving - it is nowhere as nice as the photos. No one is at the front desk after 9. Lucky I made it just in time or else I would have had to try and call someone after hours. The room was nothing like the photos. they had me upstairs and with no elevator, I would have had to haul all the luggage up there. They did give me a room downstairs right next to the lobby. Lamp was broken, power outlet wouldn't work and worst of all - THERE WAS NO HOT WATER! Asked the staff to fix it and they said they turned the heat up. That didn't work. That nice looking pool - forget it. The water was dirty and stuff floating on top. To top it all off, I paid $132US. Checked a few days before getting there and rooms were $50. Asked for credit - NO WAY JOSE. This place is a RIP!

The staff here are all amazing, wonderful and friendly. Super super clean and quiet. It's lovely please book this hotel. They share their culture with you specially Christine at the front desk she is awesome and will stand up for you. I was a victim of racism and prejudice on a tour bus/tour guide while I went to visit Tulum, Coba, and Playa del Carmen. Christine stoop up for me. Great stay and amazing experience.

THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM! not a hotel at all- run down house in a not so great residential neighborhood !! Not one sign, not one car in the lot, smelled like sewer when we got out of the car!!

Tried to call Hotels.com to cancel - they suggested we stay in the car and drive somewhere safe while they contact the front desk!! What damn front desk?? Wasn’t even a HOTEL... not even a MOTEL !! Run down looking house with paper or something taped to inside windows... major RED FLAG place with not ONE SIGN indicating we were even at the right place !!!

Amazing location. The people were extremely helpful and attentive. I definitely recommend. It is located downtown in the bar area and you are able to walk to them. Clean, quiet, and the staff were always courteous. Will be staying there again next time we go!

The hotel is nice. A bit cheap feeling, but clean and close to lots of shopping. It's very quiet which is great. However, they say they have an airport shuttle which we asked to book and the next day the day crew acted like I was crazy for thinking they even offered a shuttle service and said the best they could do was call us a taxi. Their breakfast wasn't served until 9am so the free breakfast wasn't even approachable if you had to leave in the morning.

Room was very clean. Hotel was very quiet. Fast wi-fi. Staff manning the reception & room boy extremely courteous & respectful. Area is nice with shops nearby. The breakfast service starts at 9 AM which I felt was very late. However there is one big disadvantage. The electricity fluctuated very badly to the point I was concerned our electronic devices might be damaged because of the extreme fluctuations & surges. The staff put the blame on the grid. The airport super shuttle charges US$12/- one way per traveler to this hotel.

Casa Maraf is a newley renovated hotel which looks really nice from the outside and inside. The rooms are very clean at all times and the maids make sure everything is perfect for when you came back into your room. They make sure all of your clothes are folded and everything is put in its place.
They do include all you can eat breakfast but the food is mostly fruit and cereal and coffee but they also make some hot sandwiches and quesadillas as you request.
The hotel is really close to downtown Cancun and also close to a pasta, pizza and burrito place that has really outstanding food. About a two minute walk from the hotel is a bus stop that brings you to downtown Cancun that is only like 2-3 stops from the hotel.
In the back of the hotel is a decent size pool with beach chairs and also a minibar with a huge golf course separated by a fence.
The staff here is really generous and would help you out with anything you need help with. If its information on getting somewhere, or renting a car for a good price, or even just getting recommendations on good places nearby to explore.
Overall Casa Maraf has been a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a fun enjoyable trip.

\"GREAT\" place to stay !

\"WOW\" !!!
Just got back home and \"ALL\" the way home, we told EVERYONE we talked with, how much fun we had and the \"GREAT\" place we stayed !
The staff was friendly and all so helpful and attended to our every need. From beginning to end our hostess was at our disposal and made us feel welcomed and at home. The rooms was spacious and clean and attended to daily. They actually cooked a home cooked breakfast in the morning and it was simply delicious along with \"GREAT\" coffee !
I could go on and on about this place but the \"BEST\" review I could give them is my repeat business. I plan on bringing my staff here and hold our convention, we will lease out the entire place just for us !
Thank you so very much for making our trip to Cancun a memorable one !

Staying at Casa Maraf was the greatest decision we made when planning our vacation to Cancun. The staff was overly helpful and strived to provide us with everything we needed to make our vacation memorable. Every suggestion they gave us for outside activities ended up being the best parts of our vacation. The rooms we beautiful, clean and spacious. We were extremely inpressed with the efforts taken by the staff to keep our rooms and clothes cleaning during our stay.

If you’re looking for a quiet B&B away from all the tourist but yet still within walking distance of downtown nightlife, Casa Maraf is for you.

The staff was very helpful and personable. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. I enjoyed the location too as it's off the main hotel area so it is more quiet and relaxing, but still just a short walk or bus ride away to the beaches and hotel zones.

I like the staff and the place was very nicely decorated. There was a Smart tv, Loved that so much!! I could watch Netflix! good A/C with remote. Modern and very cool looking rooms. Nice residential area by the bus stop, gas station and convenience store, a great pizza place, taco place and bar very close by, 2 min walk. Very long walk to the hotel zone and an hour walk to Plaza La Isla. They have a pool here and lounge chairs. I felt very safe and the place is very secure. No hot water!! I was very disappointed, which i really needed. No closet or dresser in my room. No mini fridge. These things would have made my stay much better.

Llegamos a la propiedad, y no había nadie, nos comunicamos al teléfono de contacto, primero contestó una persona que dijo desconocer de ser un hotel, posteriormente no contestó nuevamente, tuvimos que conseguir otro hospedaje en ese momento, pésimo que la aplicación expedia se preste a promocionar lugares que mientan y no existan, y se laven las manos cuando uno hace una aclaración
