Service and all was great! Food was not the best but not inedible or anything. The hibachi restaurant was my fav! Shoutout Jamie with the kayaking & guacamole time, Miguel with the outdoor bar, and Gerson with the beach drink/snack services!! But everyone was lovely. We went on a kayak tour which was included and paid for jet skis one day. There was always something going on and someone making sure our experience was best as possible! Didn’t bring children myself but definitely is family friendly as well.

The room was super nice and big, the beds were extremely comfortable. The food was good specially himitzu (asian restaurant).
The beach water was clear.

The one thing that was unfortunate was the fact that the pools were small and not deep at all. They were all for kids.

We had the best girls trip here! The beach was absolutely pristine — one of my favorite beaches I’ve ever visited. The water is miles of shallow, crystal-clear blue, almost like a giant natural pool, which makes it perfect for both relaxing and very kid-friendly. The resort itself was clean, the food was good, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall such a fun and beautiful place to stay in Cancun. I would definitely come back!

We had 3 ocean view balcony rooms, which were great. Two were not ready upon our arrival but they upgraded two of the rooms immediately--to an ocean view suite with living and bedroom spaces.
The spa had a great menu of offerings of which we took advantage of as well. All great.
The staff was friendly and very accommodating--providing directions, offering drinks, etc. We purchased the preferred status which allowed us exclusive access to quality drinks, an all-day buffet, specialty pool/beach access and coupons for spa services.
The resort had a handful of restaurants for your choosing on a daily basis and there was always entertainment including a sunset mariachi dinner on Friday night.
We'd stay at the Dreams Sands Cancun again.

The food was not good as they did have everything but just not the food I was wanting every day the wait for dinner way 1.5 hours just to get a small pice of steak and was not enough
the staff was amazing but don’t like how they want you to go over to one of there sister hotel and sign up for stuff and they say 90 mins but it took us 4.5 hours and didn’t buy into it. What a joke…
I ocean view was beautiful and it’s very clean drinks was great !!!! It was in a great location could walk to town and shops

Staff was very friendly and engaging. Bartenders were awesome. Food was decent for all inclusive. Asian place was our favorite.

They do need some maintenance on the elevators. One would stop at every floor for no reason, and we often waited several minutes for one to arrive or gave up and took the stairs. Everything else was incredible.

Amazing experience that pleasantly surprised me! The staff was super friendly, and the service was absolutely amazing for the price. There were also many events and cool performances that kept us busy within the resort. The restaurants were tasty and offered a lot of variety, and there was also a cafe open the entire day with a bakery. Would highly recommend staying here, especially during holidays when they have a lot of special events.

We were very disappointed with several aspects of our 10-day stay.
Our room was extremely humid the entire time, and there was a loud fan noise above the entrance that never turned off (except during a power outage on the second day). We never received an explanation or apology.
The reservation system for Himitsu was extremely frustrating. We tried for four days to book at the exact opening time with no success. The concierge sent us to the restaurant manager, who said he would add us for the next evening. When we arrived, there was no reservation. We were offered two crowded seats at the grill after all that effort. The system clearly needs to be fixed.
There were not enough outdoor lounge chairs, especially in sunny areas. We also felt non-preferred guests were treated differently.
Lastly, despite requesting a first-floor room due to mobility issues in our party, we were assigned a second-floor room at the end of the hall. Getting more tha 3 towels and mini bar filled after requests on the app were also useless.
Overall, the repeated inconveniences made our stay far more frustrating than it should have been.

I had an amazing time here! The guest service, in every area of this resort, was 10/10! You can tell that whoever runs this place believes 100% in perfect customer service! I enjoyed the hospitality all the way around as well as the food, also the cleanliness. I loved my room and the resort itself is BEAUTIFUL! The photos and videos I saw online didn’t do it any justice at all! I would definitely go back! There’s also events going on that are super cool too.

I loved staying at this hotel, great location the amenities. The employees made us feel welcome at all times, they gave us great attention, service, super kind employees, great food, music and great vibe to party. My only complaint was the bath towels, it was very rough and that the hotel doesn’t have hotel shuttle. Other than that, it’s a great place. I would stay here again!

Overall, my stay was absolutely wonderful. It was my first visit to Mexico. With the exception of a couple of people, the staff were wonderful: they were cheerful, helpful, and were able to help in both Spanish and English. The food options were great with lots of variety. I don't have food allergies, but they always asked if there were allergies that they could work through. There always seemed to be activities for those who wanted to participate in it, and they weren't pushy if you didn't want to be part of it. This was also a draw back as it was usually really noisy until fun around 9 in the morning until about 11 pm. My room was very clean and very welcoming. The check in process was very easy. I'd recommend it, especially for chuldren. There were lots of kids there and it was family friendly

All was good except food. 2 out of the four of us got sick after eating. Drinks were terrible except for the preferred Lounge which drinks were amazing there. Resort itself was beautiful and service very good. Probably will not go back because of the food and drink.

We were good we were given an upgrade but were moved to a room on a higher floor without w balcony. I booked balcony rooms because we love to sit outside in the morning.
Additionally our room fridge didn’t work, the bathroom had a mold in the shower. Over all a very disappointing stay

Big rooms with quiet A/C, but make the rooms very cold,
You can turn off, but you can’t regulate A/C
Good shower with very hot water.

Good choice only if the beach is most important feature to you.

It’s an older resort in need of upgrades. The food overall was pretty good but the service in restaurants was pretty bad..like 2 hours waiting for your food bad. The entertainment was nonexistent as was the pool services. 20 lounge chairs for the main pool with empty cabanas that they charged you to sit in at an “all inclusive resort.” They also charged extra for our large party to be seated together for dinner. $250 extra!!

Great stay! All staff members were extremely friendly. Shout out to Abraham and Andy at El Patio, amazing dining experience and shoutout to Isaac at the preferred beach area.
Went as a solo female traveler and I felt very safe. Food was good and numerous options, beach absolutely stunning! And the room with ocean front balcony was the way to go. Will stay again. Thank you all for the wonderful stay!

When I arrived I was checked in by Concierge and upgraded to a balcany room with seaview, I did not anticipate the room to have an adjoining room with gaps around that door as well as gaps around the main door and balcony door. The room was NOT quiet at all, I did raise this with the team but the only solution was to move and after a long flight, unpacking and trying to settle for a holiday I didnt really want to pack and unpack again to move rooms. Just had to deal with the noise. Hotel itself is very clean and the common areas are very well decorated and furnished. I ate in all the alacarte restaurants and would highly reccomened Gaucho and the Japanese.

All the staff were very warm and welcoming.

The main thing for me was the ammount of sunbeds reserved for \"privilage members\" was almost double the amount than for regualar guests, also the accesible part of the beach was full cover with shades so the only area you could really sunbathe was around the pool and if you didnt have a towel on it by 7,30am good luck. I did find myself sunchasing with not a lot of success when I was around the hotel.

I gave it 3 out of 5 but that is mainly due to the noise in the room and how the \"privilage club\" got much better preference for sunbathing even though the number of people over there was minimal.

Best beach that’s calm, beautiful and safe for all ages. The staff are amazing. They really go all out to give you the best experience. The entertainment staff are the best and the shows and activities offered are fantastic. The resort itself needs some work. The main pool has sharp broken tiles in it. The preferred club pool is lovely but not heated. There are water leaks throughout the building including the buffet itself. It’s very difficult to get room service on the app. Very few rooms have balconies and if you want one it’s an upgrade. Food is average and buffet is small and limited. The bed in our preheated club room was like sleeping on a pullout couch for a week. The property location, beach and staff make up for what is lacking but I hope the hotel will get around to improving the other things because Dreams Sands has a lot of potential.
