This place is excellent. I highly recommend. They opened the door everywhere I went and made sure I was fully accommodated. I could not ask for better service. This was the cats meow. Perfect 10! The staff, food, location and overall stay. We love it at the Kempinski and went 3 times in the past 18 months. The staff goes above and beyond, at the restaurants and the pool, you feel like a princess. It is the same throughout the hotel. From the moment you walk in the door, you are welcomed with smiles and always asked if you need anything. It's the best trained group I have ever met. This time we had a suite and it was gorgeous. Large, elegant and the most amazing views of the turquoise sea. It was a perfect vacation. The concierges always make great recommendations for dinners outside of the hotel, and the dinners at the hotel are equally amazing.

The best part about this resort is the staff. Everyone here is super friendly an go out of their way to help you. It was our first time in Cancun and we absolutely loved the experience.

Do remember hag it’s not an all inclusive resort but they do have the option. Ask them about it if you’re interested, although we didn’t go for all inclusive. We like the freedom to choose!

Amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so attentive and nice! We have stayed here before when it was the Ritz and loved it and I would say that things are on the same level or better as it was when it was the Ritz. Rueben, the concierege on the club floor, is so helpful and friendly. The spa workers are wonderful as are the Casita's staff. Claudia and Mario took great care of us. The club lounge is beautiful and the food and drinks were delicious. Willy was the best bartender! Cannot wait to return!

Nice rooms, excellent service in the rooms and on the beach. This was a former ritz Carlton and the service is at that level. My only small complaint is that the gym could be bigger but it is more than adequate for most people with ample cardio equipment, a weight workout circuit, and dumbbells. Nonetheless could use a rowing machine but again it’s a small complaint

Property is great showing little sign of age but classical style of 5 star hotel. Breakfast was great especially Angel had us covered every day. Heated pools and great beach . Not too busy which makes it easy to enjoy the pools beaches and food options. Be ready to spend top $ for food and drinks which are exceptionally prepared.

This is our 4th stay at this property and we will be returning. The amazing staff at every level and attention to detail is above all the rest. Club level was amazing once again and big thanks to Oscar, Wilberth and Alberto for providing exceptional service to us during our stay. We also enjoyed Cafe Mexicano and treated equally as well by all the staff we encountered. Alberto, Jorge, and Ozman thanks for providing exceptional service as well. Staff were all very attentive. I loved the little food options on club level, and the whole setup was very relaxing. One rather jarring moment was booking a car through the 8th floor Conceirge, which was priced to me at $200 US from Cancun to PDC (usually $75). I declined that price and booked it myself online. Take note that Conceirge pricing may be artificially inflated for no reason. Best book things online.

This is the kind of place you don’t want to write a review to keep it for yourself. Service is great. Fantino restaurant is amazing and location is unbeatable. You 10 great restaurants walking distance. I come here at least once a year and will be coming back. PS. This hotel used to be the Ritz Carlton. I definitely recommend it!

The service is 100% flawless here…which is why I continue to return. The rooms are starting to look a little frazzled (sheets had holes, bathrooms are VERY out of date, paint was peeling).
But I will return solely for the amazing service. However, I do hope some serious remodeling is in the near future.

El ambiente también, la música desactualizada; playlists del año 2000. La carta de bebidas también pudiera mejorar, te forza a pedir algo caro, especialmente con la carga de vino. Incluso más caro el vino y el programa de bebidas que en Nizuc. La comida comparando con Nizuc muy por debajo. El desayuno incluso ya no es lo mismo de antes. Yo atiendo a este hotel desde hace unos 20 años. No es lo que era antes. También me da mucha lástima el piso que pusieron en el salón principal del desayuno, perdió mucha elegancia. Las tiendas boutique también muy desactualizadas. Los precios del transporte inflados casi al doble. El bar como mencioné un ambiente muy desactualizado incluso ya no con el ambiente de alta gama. Luces de colores, se perdió mucha elegancia. El fantino extremadamente caro para la calidad de alimentos y bebidas. Ojalá le pongan la atención que merece el lugar y se actualizen. Tienen la mejor playa de Cancún y es una lástima que tomen por garantía que los huéspedes puedan disfrutar ofreciendo una carta de alimentos tan mediocre. Lo digo con toda sinceridad, como menciono le tengo mucho cariño al lugar y me da la impresión que han bajado sus estándares.

Value for money not worthing. Booked a room with sea view, did not receive the advertised upgrade. I was requested to pay the breakfast despite booking the room with breakfast included. I was not allowed to add the meal cost to the room and pay at the checkout and got escarted to the reception to pay the on spot. I was told that using hotel pool and beach chairs is 100$/person per day. I ordered room service and the hotel employee requested payment on spot, not allowing me to charge the cost to the room. The request for tipping at every step in this hotel is extremely aggressive and unconfortable.

Our stay at the Kempinski Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding vow renewal, and from the very beginning, the staff made sure it was a truly unforgettable experience.

They helped us plan the entire celebration with incredible care and attention to detail. A special thank you to Salma, who made sure every element—from the big moments to the smallest touches—was handled perfectly for me and my family.

As a welcome surprise, one of our rooms was upgraded upon arrival. Throughout our stay, the service was consistently outstanding. The staff regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were always one step ahead of our requests.

One thing that really stood out: during our excursions, our family was the only group picked up and dropped off right at the hotel entrance—while other guests from nearby hotels had to cross busy streets. It made us feel genuinely cared for.

The Casitas restaurant team deserves special praise. During dinner, my husband and I had a late-night craving for burgers—and even though it wasn’t on the dinner menu, they kindly let us order from the lunch menu. That kind of flexibility and warmth really impressed us.

Every night, we were greeted with a sweet anniversary treat in our room—a beautiful gesture that made the whole experience feel even more personal.

A property more for a family environment or the older crowd. We loved that it was classy, luxurious, and not trying to be trendy for a younger demographic. Great service and beach but not worth the money

Overall experience was average. The price we paid wasn’t worth the money. The hotel is a bit outdated and needs a hefty lift in the amenities side. The room was old and the windows were with smudges, the drawers besides the bad and the TV had some kind of bugs inside. The breakfast can be better with a more vast variety of food (I am comparing to the same amount of money in a resort breakfast in playa del carmen we paid - you get a check every meal).
The service is amazing, the beach as well, though a thorough cleaning is needed when there are algae in the sea.
The staff is very welcoming, polite and attentive to all needs.

The property was very good and the staff, with some notable exceptions, were extremely friendly and professional.

The front desk staff left a lot to be desired. We posed several questions and never received any replies, or wholly inadequate and unresponsive ones.

Food options were EXTEREMLY limited, and not worth the charges. By the end of our 15 day stay I could recount the precise order and contents of the breakfast \"buffet\", and the so-called Sunday brunch simply added one or two items. I highly recommend that the property consider having more varied options, including a dinner buffet (more varied than the breakfast buffet, hopefully) and that two \"high end\" restaurants, both of which were almost completely devoid of patrons most nights, are a waste of space.

Finally, in an age of high speed internet and satellite TV options, the internet in our room was abysmal. We asked for some attention to this, as my wife is a digital artist and needed functioning high speed internet to work, but the response was deafening in its silence. As for TV, which we only accessed in the evening for a few hours, the guide was not in anyway connected to the actual channels, and watching Mexican wrestling, second or third division soccer, or ancient NFL reruns, was a disappointment and quite laughable.

My wife and I have travelled extensively throughout the world and stayed at Hotels with the same claim to luxury as this one. The amount we spent here was not close to worth our dollars.

I have been in Cancun and this is my first time that I felt very comfortable, the service and staff was excellent, the property is well maintained. The amenities were top-notch, and every detail seemed to be thoughtfully considered. The location was perfect, with easy access to the beach and local attractions. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast that set the tone for a fantastic day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all my needs were met, making my stay truly memorable. the rooms and decor in other areas are elegant but perhaps starting to look a little dated and tired. It would be spectacular with a more contemporary refurb. the restaurants onsite are a little overpriced and uninviting.
