I’m very disappointed in this resort!!! Staff is very rude and disrespectful, no help at all, very unprofessional since the moment I arrived. The food was horrible, all the restaurants share the same food, there were bugs on the food, drinks where also very flavorless servers were stingy with the food. It is not all inclusive. More than half the restaurants/bars charged extra. I was looking forward to the club they had in the resort, only to find out it was closed, the faucet in my room only had hot water, there were roaches and spiders the sliding curtains were broken in my room. When I exchanged my beach towels the staff was impolite. I was told over the phone before arriving that I could check in early, and when I arrived they did not let me, so I had to wait around for 5 hours with my 3 infants, they were tired hungry and hot. Mazatlan had way better service than this place!! Stay away from this place!!!

No issue with the room. The staff was average I wouldn’t say above and beyond, but they were not rude by any means. Amenities were non existent there is no casino or nightclub. Overall the biggest issue I had with this place was the food. Truly the worst food experience I have ever had, nothing at the resort was good. Even the non-buffet restaurants were terrible. I felt nauseous eating any of the food.

The room was beautiful obviously the hotel is decades old so some wear and tear is expected but it was been well maintained and updated very nicely in many cases! The staff are like a big familyband very helpful the resort is hige which is why it is able to offer so much to its guest!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this resort was extremely disappointing.

From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. The check-in process was chaotic and disorganized, with long waits and staff that seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in helping. After traveling all day, the last thing you want is to stand in line for over an hour just to get a room key.

The first room we were given was really bad. It was outdated, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, the air conditioning barely worked, and the overall condition of the room was far from what was advertised. Because it was so unacceptable, we had to ask for a different room — and the only option they gave us was to pay a very expensive upgrade, which we felt forced to do just to have a decent place to stay. For the price we paid — especially after having to pay extra just to get a better room — we expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations at all.

I went to this room as a vacation for the first time with my fiancé. I looked online at reviews of the food as that it was something that was very crucial important to us and was met with really good reviews. Once we got there for the food seemed to be inedible and only cooked to the minor temperature of culinary standard as we went through the resort we found an à la carte where I ordered a burger since the fajitas and tacos were very stiff and stale, and I was met with a raw burger in which I did not eat that night because it already was very much pass of 11 o’clock once we were done the meal after this experience I no longer ate the food as the buffet food I’ll tasted the same nauseating seasoning and once I decided to eat again, I only ate a piece of baguette bread which led me to have severe food poisoning, which caused me to be hospitalized and have heart issues upon arrival back to Canada. I am very upset that for my first vacation it ended up being such a disappointment and I hope to stop others from making the same mistake.

In all sincerity do not book here. Save yourself the headache. Probably one of the worst resorts I’ve stayed in.
Lines for the buffet were long. Food was disgusting.
There was hair in my food.
Rooms were out of date.

The food is terribe especially the buffett, unless you upgrade to the black wrist band. I was booked to one king size bed after I had exclusively requested double beds because I was sharing a room with my brother in law. The place is noisy full of college students. I won't recomend this to anyone.

For the price range it was everything we expected especially for College Spring Break week. Ground swell kept and pools clean and staff kept up on the long lines at bars near the pools were everyone were. The daily afternoon pool parties kept it lively and offered entertainment which was what we were looking for on the resort grounds instead of having to find entertainment off. Always felt safe even after the USA social media trying to scare everyone to visit Mexico 🇲🇽 Live your Best Life and Thank you for a Wonderful vacation 👌

We bought the “All Inclusive” which turned out not to be unless you upgraded to the highest level, which was a significant increase in cost. Our All-Inclusive gave you access to about a third of the bars and restaurants, which we should have been made aware of upfront. The staff was great, very helpful, and friendly. The Emergency 24-hour medical folks never answered their door when we rang the bell and knocked. Had a significant laceration and couldn’t get it taken care of. The food was so-so and one of us got food poisoning from an outdoor grill location. One of two very small elevators didn’t work in our building and we were on the 6th floor, to say we got our steps in is an understatement. We won’t be back.

Drinks were not good. Not sure where the “vodka” comes from lol. And a lot of annoying LOUD kids (teenagers). Super annoying. In fairness was spring break (didnt do my research). But my 5 year old behaved better. Koodos to the kids and their parents who were well behaved though! Overall okay for the price and food was great as well. Also not enough lounge chairs and pretty much none on the actual beach. Waves were way too much/ strong for a child to swim in

The place was ok, the room was outdated, hard to get reservation for the restaurant, if you get late to your reservation they wont let you in, food was ok, long lines for dinner, we had to take down the beach chairs from the pool and there wasn't barely any shade, the staffs were nice a d friendly.
The beach was my favorite place had a great time there.

I am disappointed with my stay. Never going back.The toilet in our room was leaking, the air conditioner was dripping water onto the floor and the door to the balcony was really difficult to open since it had no handle on it.
It was really difficult to get seating by the pool and it seemed that they were either overbooked or simply neglected to place more chairs out by the pool to accommodate capacity. The excuse that there is not enough space is not valid as they could easily fit an extra row of chairs along the entire length of the pool. If you wanted to get a chair by the pool you’d have to get there well before 7 am to try and reserve your chair… and even that didn’t always guarantee you a spot.
One of the days during our stay, we got to the pool around 8:30am and not a single chair was available. We saw a group of employees with a pile of lounge chairs and asked if they could place two by the pool deck to which they said no because there “was no room”… they told us they would be placing them on the beach. We decided to try sitting by the beach but that same employee ended up kicking us off the chair for an unknown reason and only ended up seating us maybe 20 feet away from our original spot because we kept asking why. Odd.
Long lines for food and drinks, bars always backed up. difficult to get new towels. Reservations hard to get in the restaurants. We went in the last week of February, I cannot imagine how much worse this will get during peak spring break season.

Food was horrible and I’m not a picky eater. The steak house and Italian restaurant are by reservation and out of 6 days we could only get in to the steak house once. Staff at check in and concierge were rude and acted like they really didn’t like Americans. It makes a real difference if you have a pyramid bracelet or an oasis bracelet. If you had the oasis bracelet there was a lot you couldn’t do or get in to. Tried to upgrade base on what the app said and they told us no. We will never be back.

Our room was clean even though a bit dated. They provided housekeeping daily and restocked everything which was nice. Overall the staff was cery nice and helpful. We did find it a bit difficult to get oriented with the resort due to the size, but this also afforded a very nice selection of restaurants and pools. We would caution against the \"leisure club\" sales pitch, seems to be a staple here.

Room we’re really old . No one to show us the way to the rooms. Drinks we bad if you had a blue band . Half the resort was cut offf due to having a blue band. No music. Not enough chairs a lot of us had to sit on the ground just not good all around

The room was full of mold and I have pictures. I want a refund. The mold was everywhere and the room smelled like Meldew and wet. When I ask about changing the room they said there was nothing they could till I had put on a complaint and Expedia reach out to them and they sent someone to insopext they tried to take the moldy mat without me know and promise to change my room in 20 minutes. They never did. I end my trip early because I was getting sick sraying in that room. If this ant be resolve I am going to have to go the legal route. I do not want vouchers or credit. I didn’t use vouchers or credit to pay you. I expect a full refund. I will be reaching out to the attorney general and BBB as well to show them the pictures and how may complaints I have put in and yet no one has reached out. This was the worst stay ever. I have been to Mexico plenty of times and I always had a good time. This was the worst trip ever. I will not ever use Expedia again cause the treat your different and I will not be going g back to Mexico. This left a bad taste in my mouth

The person that checked us in was extremely slow and explained nothing to us about the resort and how things worked. The resort is very old and in need of much work. They have multiple pools but not enough chairs or loungers for the guest and the allow people to put towels out to save chairs. They advertise 10 restraints but there actually about 5 restaurants 2 of which require reservations and when we tried to make one they were booked out 2 days past our check out date 1 that would cut of wait list 2 hours after opening in order to serve everyone and close on time, and the other 2 were below average buffets with some foods being cold or barely warm and and the rest were food stands. They didn’t clean our room one day or leave towels. We asked for towels at 2:30 and had to request multiple more times and finally got towels at 9:45PM. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work. They don’t have enough staff to man all the areas so service is definitely lacking. This vacation was a hot mess and I would never recommend this resort !

Where do we begin? Check in took over 1 hour, we had 2 adults and 2 teens and they gave us a room with 1 King bed. Wouldn't give us a double as they had already Overbooked the resort. They had no response when I asked how are we suppose to sleep 4 people in 1 bed? King or not? They just kept saying we understand. Offered us a portable single bed for the room, which the room was already tiny and the extra bed in there made it so there was no room. We paid extra for a Grand Ocean View, which ended up being a view from about 200 yards away from the ocean, over looking trees and starting right into another building. They refused to offer us anything for that error, because THEY overbooked the resort. We were unable to make reservations at any restaurants due to them being full/overbooked. The entire 5 day stay we were not able to book the steak house as it was already booked in advance. Many of the bartenders refused to make blended drinks or even a mojito! They didn't have mango, which is a staple at a resort like this. The buffets are small with very limited options. House keeping wouldn't clean room until after 4pm, but we had to shower and change to get in line for a restaurant by 5pm or you wouldn't get anything to eat other then buffet. Even the buffet had a wait if it was after 7pm. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Its far too big and they don't give a crap about their guests once they have your money. They refused to refund us any part of it.

This resorts classification as all-inclusive should be revoked. I never heard the word no more from Service people on a vacation ever in my life. Our bracelets weren’t good at most places, anything that was supposed to come with the price was all booked up, no chairs ever outside available. The staff always looked miserable probably because their tips suffered from having to tell their guests no all the time. Elevators didn’t work power went out for full day. The bar had nothing but subpar liquor. The only time we felt like we were in an inclusive resort was when we paid extra to be in one of the closed off sections. We heard all around us complaints from customers on the beach in the pool in the restaurant all over the resort…. So we were not the only ones noticing how unwelcoming this place was. I will never return there and I’ll be sure to tell everybody I know to skip this place.

The entire resort felt neglected/run down. Its like they stopped carrying.Very basic decor - we didn't even have seating in our room other than metal patio furniture (that left the tile dotted with rust).Balcony furniture was dirty plastic $10 chairs.Not welcoming.No drawers for storage in our room.Literally had an open closet with a rod/shelf+open table beneath TV.So, pile your underwear on the table it was!No storage in bathroom-just leave everything out on the counter.Bathroom design was weird and prevented our door from opening fully.Awkward.No fan for steam. Shower leaked.
When checking in, was told we couldn't have the king room we booked, but would be getting 2doubles.it was valentine's weekend!They weren't very helpful; seemed annoyed and just told us we were lucky to even have this room because they were completely booked (1,200+ rooms).We finally convinced them to \"check with a manager\" and ultimately got our king, but took a while and wasn't a good first impression.
Too many spring breakers that were everywhere.Clogged up lines at the bars.Had to wait 20+ minutes each time at the bar.No bars to sit at and socialize-just wait in line and walk back to your seat elsewhere to drink.Only one bartender working at poolside bars. Annoying.Killed the vibe.cheap alcohol. Kids just kept pounding shots and getting increasingly more annoying/loud and they were entitled/not kind to employees.

The food was mediocre at best. Not much variety, usually the same food everyday at the buffets and many of the a la carte restaurants cost extra. So not truely all-inclusive. The room was dated but I could live with that. BUT THEN I found a cockroach in our room! Yuck! Staff weren't terrible but most of them seemed like they didn't want to be there and so not really a friendly vibe.

Needless to say we won't be going back or recommending this place. Honestly the only reason we went here was because it was part of a group trip and was the only thing available last minute.

Room: The faucets weren’t attached to the countertop in the bathroom. The shower head didn’t exist, it was just a hole spitting out aggressive water. The floors were sticky.

Staff: They were the most unfriendly staff I have ever experienced. If you asks for help for something they would just say they can’t do that or just was unwilling. The friendliest staff we experienced was the lifeguard.

We were celebrating a birthday and the resort said they offer a free cake for the event but they cannot deliver it to the restaurant. They can only deliver it to the room and they didn’t have a specific time, any time between 5 and 9pm. When the cake finally arrived, it was actually a slice of cake and squished. The saran wrap was so tight, the slice of cake looked like mush.

The food was terrible. They served my cousin uncooked chicken.

The room service took forever. Didn’t let us upgrade to the pyramid (which we didnt know beforehand that there was a higher tier). Separated our group of 9 with our rooms. A few wanted two beds but got one, the two that wanted one bed got two. There are two restaurants that require booking but there were no available spots for a week. We were only here for 5 days so we couldn’t even book either one. Overall a poor experience, if you ever come here make sure you get the pyramid package which we did not know beforehand.

Where to start! False advertising. A lot of the restaurants you have to pay or make a reservation which you can’t make because it is filled. (We were there 1 week and a day and were only able to book one) Food was terrible. Not enough chairs (pool) to accommodate the amount of people. If you want a chair get down at 9am to secure one. No chairs or umbrellas at the beach.

Lack of staff support. Asked for water it came two days later,; water flood in bathroom spilled out to room it tok few hrs. Then day later when there was nothing to be mopped up there come the clean up guy. If it's all inclusive why the food is never hot. Can't visit again.

Staff was great, the rooms are pretty dated, the food always seemed cold even at the sit down restaurants and we were there for a week and weren’t able to get reservations for dinner. My kids aren’t picky but they did have a hard time finding something they liked to eat…. Even the Mac and cheese was watered down( my 15 years old said “this is BAD and I like Mac and cheese from a box” we didn’t use the pool at all during our stay this week (it’s not heated and the water was freezing) but it looked clean and well maintained, the grounds are pretty to walk and the beach is clean.breakfast options only include the 2 buffets and for lunch the pickings where a little slim. We also were not permitted in the buffet one night because my daughter was wrapped in a towel (she was cold, not wet) Also be prepared for check in to take at least 1 hr and if traveling as a family they will try to sign you up for their timeshare presentation with the excuse that they show everyone around the ground and to their room, check out took 5 min though :)

Overall our family enjoyed the Grand Oasis for it's varied outdoor spaces, with peacocks and koi fish; multiple dining and bar options offered good service and selection. The beach and lack of was too rough for young children as well as no outdoor play area accessible to children under 4.

My friend fell in their lobby on day two of seven.
Be careful the lobby, where the bar is the steps look flat, but they are not. The staff who were there were amazing, but I wanted to spend one extra night and I explained my friend fell and hurt herself in the lobby.

She did not stay five of her seven nights nor did she eat or drink there. No refund of any kind and I had to pay for my additional night.

They were full and I was on the second floor with no elevator. If she was able to come back from the hospital they would not have been able to accommodate her. So that was also disappointing.

I think this was very horrible service for somebody who fell in their hotel.

On the last morning I called at 5:45 AM to change my two to go breakfasts to 630.

They still weren’t ready when I was ready to leave for the airport.

I was very disappointed and had to spend $40 at the airport. I also had to pay for my last day, including all inclusive when I told them I was leaving the hotel at 6:30 in the morning. I wasn’t impressed with that either.

The food was amazing though and I like the small resort feel. The entertainment staff was great and I enjoyed the pool aerobics when I could.

I met some amazing people there and I was very thankful for that.

The room was not ready until 4pm. Very inconvenient for incoming guests. There was no orientation to the facility, restaurant, and amenities until the 2nd day. They need to do a better job and encorage the guests to download the resort app.

I would not recommend booking this resort. The prices may be cheaper but when you get there it's an upcharge for alot of things like certain drinks, access to some restaurants, beach chairs etc.

It is on one of the most beautiful beaches in Cancun but minimal beach chairs and no beach service/bars.

It is not wheelchair accessible with many steps all around the resort. Rooms that are called accessible cannot fit a wheelchair comfortably.

Buffet food was bland and almost always cold. Their warmers did not work. Buffets will not serve you drinks while you eat except for pop/juice/water.

Elevators were slow and often broken.

I recommend spending your money elsewhere!

Room in decent condition, although I did find a cockroach on the drawer. Cleaning service was good and cleaning staff are overall friendly.

NO lifeguards around anywhere. Not in the pools, or in the beach. Disappointing.

There were times where the staff at the bars and restaurants would rush you in a rude manner. This feels like a side effect of the sheer amount of people that are in the hotel.
This is a resort more targeted for a younger demographic with music and parties at the center of the entertainment. This being the case, there were no “nightclubs” open during the night, which is very rare.

Washrooms are downright dirty and not maintained very often.

Overall, there are better options for resorts in the Cancún area. This resort had too many people, not enough entertainment, rude staff at times, and alright food.
Do consider spending a little bit more for a more quality hotel. Do not recommend.

The staff were not friendly; there was only 1 person working at each station which led to long line ups just to get a drink; the food was cold and labels were not put in the right place; they only had 2 restaurants available for regular customers and they tried to upsell you to purchase the black membership to have access to the rest of the restaurants.

Their bar/club was reserved for privates events for highschool students during the weekend, so we had no access to it.

Overall, the facility is massive and had great swimming pool areas and beach was good but no chairs.

I wouldn’t go back there nor will I recommend it.

Un típico hotel de clase media, el check in fue de 1 hr y media, las habitaciones parecían mas un tipo motel, para comer había filas de 40 mins a 1 hr y la comida es bastante mala. Es un “todo incluido” que realmente te tiene limitado a quizas 3 lugares para comer y beber.
Honestamente el hotel ya se nota antiguo y aunque intentaron actualizarlo con su app, no me parece que sea la gran novedad, al contrario, entorpece la comunicación con el cliente.
Me pidieron que diera mi reseña ahí con ellos mismos y quedaron en ponerse en contacto conmigo, cosa que no sucedió.
En conclusión, a pesar de que pagué una cantidad razonable ($12.000 por 3 noches, 2 personas) , no se me hace ni un poco proporcional al servicio que se ofrece. El staff es amable, pero de ahí en adelante, no lo recomiendo ni un poco.

I booked a two bed ocean view suite and received one bed with a hotel view. Talked to staff about it and only received a roll out bed. Paid a pretty decent amount for amenities that weren’t even accommodated. My daughter scraped her leg in the first 15 minutes at the rough pool in the kids area. The food is very basic and bland, long wait times for restaurants that are not worth it either. The app says a restaurant is closed and doesn’t let you reserve. In person they say that same restaurant is open. Very chaotic and crowded. The drinks are also watered down. Tried to give this place a second chance after 6 years and can say I was once again disappointed.

We made the best of the resort. We definitely had a nice time but having previously been to Cancun this was by far the most lacking resort. Out of our full week vacation we were only able to make reservations for the non buffet on our final night. Expect long lines everywhere and an over abundance of people everywhere. The staff was nice but everything else was just okay. The entire stay our building was down to one elevator which was designed for 4 people. That elevator also was down for one evening which wasn’t ideal with a toddler and 6 flights of stairs.
The beach was nice and the pools were abundant, but don’t plan on ever getting a chair unless you place your towel out by 7am. The kids zone is only for 4-12 year olds and adults aren’t allowed in. There is no golf course or casino either and there hasn’t been for 8 years so it’s weird it was advertised. The free lagoon cruise was a nice evening out so Make sure to take advantage of that. Rooms are basic and the in room coffee is terrible but there was a coffee shop on the bottom floor that would open at 7am. Final note on the buffet, we weren’t expecting to be wowed by any means and went with open expectations but it was pretty bad, some times you would wait 45 minutes to be seated. The food lines were straight up anarchy with no rhyme or reason. The breakfast meat was cut up hot dogs and some chorizo variant, never had bacon. They had the same 4 fruits each day and a few yogurts. Bars also regularly ran out of cups

We I’ve stayed at many all inclusive, hotels, all around Mexico. I would say this is a huge resort. The check-in took over two hours. And was a bit disappointed that we were offered an upsell at the time of check-in. The up sale would get us many more restaurants and reservation restaurants to eat at. Without the upsell, we only got two buffet options - one on each side of the resort. And they were the same basically, two reservation options an Italian and a steak and snack food at the pool area. We were able to find things to eat every day, but the buffet food was pretty much the same all the time.We were able to make it into one of the reservation, restaurants, and the f pool was nice. You had to get up very early to get a pool chair. Limited beach chairs.We did get a beach view for our room

Dear Customer Relations Team
I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at the Grand Oasis Hotel, booked through Expedia, during which I rented two rooms for myself and 5 other family members. Two of which are four and five years old
Unfortunately, the accommodations were not up to acceptable standards and presented serious maintenance and safety concerns. Both rooms had significant issues, including the drawers that did not open properly, with only 3 small drawers total, leaving virtually no space to store clothing for a group of this size. Additionally, the toilet in one of the rooms ran constantly throughout the stay.
More concerning was a mirror that had been taped to the wall rather than properly secured. This posed a clear safety hazard and could have easily fallen and injured one of the children in our party
Most concerning overall was the excessive noise that continued until the middle of the night. Two members of my party are four and five years old and the level of noise made it extremely difficult for them to sleep. The environment was not appropriate or acceptable for a family stay
I raised these concerns with the hotel staff during my stay and requested to be moved to more suitable rooms, but I was told that relocation was not possible

Great resort, great location, reliable staff, with that being said, horrible place to eat, if you are staying more than 4 days, get ready coz the food gets old pretty quick, there’s not many variety, you have to make reservation EVERY NIGHT in advance, otherwise you are going to be eating at the buffet every night, for instance, once we arrived we tried to make reservation for the steak house and they only had available 9 nights after the day we checked in, so if you are staying only 7 nights you don’t get to eat at the steak house at all, their Italian restaurant it’s a joke, every single dish on the menu had squid, fish, oysters, calamari, it looks more of a seafood place than Italian at all, I was so disappointed tried to get a lasagna coz you can’t go wrong with lasagna and looks like they just heated up out of a microwave, so I gave up trying to enjoy food at this place, great resort, just the food sucks.

Our stay was the worse. We checked in on a Monday, the the hot water was not working so they had to come fix it. Then, the next day and the day after, the toilet had to be plunged. There were never any wash clothes and a couple nights we didn't get blankets back after our beds were made. The conditions were the worse and no one ever apologized or even acknowledged there was an issue. Never going back

Hello there, it was a great experience but I give 3 stars rating because firstly, was promised a free bottle of wine because I’m a silver member, which I never got and secondly found a roach in our room. But besides those two obstacles, everyone was very friendly and everything else was great….especially the service and food was awesome, I would visit again and would recommend to anyone! :)

The check in was a mess, though they give an early check in into the resort, we did not get our room clean and available to 5 PM. The checkin staff do not provide any details regarding the dining options/reservation timings or shows or other facilities.You see lot of staff walking around but they are least helpful. It is confusing as they have different levels and not everything in the resort is available to everyone in the resort. The Buffet food is horrible and repetitive.
The good part of the resort is the beautiful beach, the garden and the resort is beautiful as is. In the Dine in restaurants the food is really good and the staff are really friendly but a long wait for the reservation.

I had a fantastic overall experience at Oasis Cancun during my vacation—the resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel special. The food was decent and offered a good variety for an all-inclusive stay. That said, some staff interactions could use some real improvement; the towel personnel were a bit rude, along with some restaurant staff (Sarape restaurant) and the tour and beer staff came across as unfriendly at times. On the bright side, the two young lifeguards and lady lifeguard thank you for helping my mother in law who suffered fainting you guys were exceptional and truly went above and beyond, overall for an all-inclusive package, I'd expect a friendlier vibe from the team to match the great location. I'd still recommend it for the views and vibe! - Jorge & Jessica
