My first room had a cockroach, which I filmed, and black-brown stains on the curtains. When I was given a second room to make up for the cockroach, it also had similar stains on the ceiling and tiny ants, which I took photos of. The bedding didn't seem that clean either, I found hairs on it before I even got to sit down. The only thing I enjoyed was the kind staff.

Woke up with bed bug bites. Property felt like a flop house, people using drugs by exterior doors, security guard never seemed to leave his post, was too busy reading.
2nd queen bed in our room was some sort of cot that the mattress didn't fit properly on and if you say on end of the bed the whole thing flipped.
This hotel was not cheap to book for our layover in Montreal and I'm really disgusted at the condition. I've been requesting a refund for 4 days now with absolutely no response from the hotel.

Surprisingly Pleasant Stay at Quality Hotel Dorval

I was a bit skeptical about booking this hotel because of some of the mixed reviews, but I’m glad to say it turned out to be a great stay overall.

The check-in experience really stood out—staff at the front desk were super welcoming and helpful, especially considering we arrived late at night. It definitely set the tone for the rest of the stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, which is always a top priority for me.

One downside, though, was the noise. The walls aren’t very soundproof, so we could hear quite a bit from the hallway and surrounding rooms, even at night. Also, the breakfast was very basic. It’s fine for a day or two, but if you’re staying longer, it does get repetitive.

Despite those minor issues, the overall experience was really positive. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place with friendly service near the airport, I’d recommend giving this hotel a shot.

It was my first time visiting Montreal and selecting this Hotel was the worst choice I made looking at the pics and reviews. I really had worst experience with the staff during check in. None of the staff members I spoke to were friendly especially the security were very rude. I felt as If they were not happy with people coming to their hotel. As soon as I entered the place it was having weird stinking smell which was there through out my 2 nights stay outside the room. Totally it was not worth the money I spent.

The shower wasn’t working very well with hardly any water pressure. The parking is very limited and so small . The staff however , were very friendly and efficient in bringing extra towels. Very confusing location, area is not the best as there are no restaurants around. Seemed lole a lot of people smoking in the front driveway. Room was tiny and outdated. Had a musky smell to it. Do not book this hotel. As a frequent traveler, this by far is one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever endured. Upon arrival, security and additional staff were in the lobby and front entrance of the property. Numerous hotel guests were heavily intoxicated, wandering around the parking lot and throughout the property. Staff were dismissive and unwelcoming when questioned about property amenities. Upon entering our 2 queen bed room, we immediately noticed one of the beds was basically resting on the floor with no base or headboard. The bed was essentially a mattress laying on the floor with 2 pillows resting against the wall. In total, we stayed at 5 different hotel properties during this 12 day trip.

I have never taken the time to review a hotel until today, but felt compelled to make others aware of our experience with this property. There are dozens of other issues we could also address, but honestly if you value your safety while traveling, this property is a hard pass!!

A Disturbed Night at the Hotel

I had a truly bizarre experience at this hotel around 3:40 AM. I was in a deep sleep when the room phone rang. I groggily answered, and a voice asked, \"Hey, are you [my name]?\" I confirmed it was me and asked what the problem was. The person just said \"okay\" and hung up.

About two minutes later, the phone rang again, with the same question: \"Hey, are you [my name]?\" By this point, I was frustrated. I told them, \"Yes, it's 3:40 AM, what's going on? You're waking me up!\" Again, they simply replied \"okay\" and hung up.

This left me feeling very unsettled, so I immediately called reception. The same voice answered, identifying himself as security. He claimed everything was fine and that he didn't know who would have called or why. The rest of the night, I was on edge and couldn't sleep well.

First thing in the morning, I went to the reception to inquire further, but no one seemed to have any explanation for the calls. It's concerning that someone knew my name and room number, and that the hotel staff couldn't account for these calls.

I think my shuttle driver was falling asleep when he drove me to airport I had to tap the window to open van door that should have been my first clue. Area seems sketchy room was clean people fairly friendly no printer ink in business center all I got was a shrug from the front desk person when I asked him

This hotel is nothing like what appears in the photos. It was dirty, and many things on the property were broken — including the entrance gate to the parking area. The parking spaces were extremely small. Housekeeping didn’t respect that we were in the room and came in anyway. At the front desk, they didn’t even know when check-in or check-out times were. Some of the reception staff were friendly, but others were not at all. They clearly have zero knowledge of hospitality.

The breakfast was cold and tasteless. The eggs looked like they were floating in some kind of white liquid — absolutely unappetizing. The only decent thing at breakfast was the bread with jam.

Out of the four nights I had booked, I was only able to stay one night because it simply wasn’t what I expected.

The security fence was broken. The security gards stank weed.
Police officers were all over the place so we got worried (and ambulances in the morning).
The hotel is not easily accessible from the highway.
Kind of hard to find food in the neighbourhood late at night.

The only thing good was the rooms rest was very bad. Firstly talking about checkin was very astonishing as we were standing in front of the reception and both the staff male and female were so busy on their own as they didnt bother to even greet us. They almost noticed us after their discussion which was 3 to 4 mins long that to the counter lady gave attention to the kids passing by but did not see us standing in front of them. I was so amazed by their sevice that how good they are at ignoring their guest as i have been to many hotels before and the staff is always so polite and attentive but this was opposite. Anyways we came back later after checkin to inquire another thing about parking and the same situation was repeated except the lady was different but guy was same he was seated in the chair and he didnt bother to notice anything he was so consumed in his laptop. Please give your staff training regarding how to treat a guest because kind of hospitality will not do good for your hotel, teach them that their discussion can wait when a guest is standing at the reception. A very bad experience though.

Okay hotel for 1 night stay

The hotel had a convenvient location close to the airport with free shuttle service which was super nice. The room was big and clean. However, there was no soundproofing and the corridors were very noisy during the night, so our sleep was terrible. There were also strange individuals roaming around the hotel and the parking lot. So a little bit shady.

Stayed here for a flight stopover. Shuttle arrived quickly. Checkin was fast an efficient. Ive traveled a lot and this hotel met my requirements. Nice and clean and quite. Our flight left early in the morning and a box breakfast was supplied and shuttle was timely. Not much around the hotel but as we were only there overnight, not an issue. Would stay there again.

Hotel caters to Inuit.they have a contract for when they come to Montreal for treatment.Smoking everywhere including on our floor. Loud, drunk. I should have taken the hint as I walkled in at two security guards where there.NEVER AGAIN. I was never so happy to leave a place in my life.Shuttle driver was good!
