Great place to stay! Located in a very central area. Slight issue trying to get check-in instructions, as I had to chat with a computer automated response before actually speaking to a person, but was able to reach them eventually. Be prepared to walk up 109 steps! Would come back.

Easy walking distance into centre of old town, some very nice cafes and bars right on the street next to property but very peaceful neighborhood.

There are 5 flights of stairs to walk up with no elevator but it's good to walk off all the pierogi and beer.

AI at its worst

They use AI bot to respond to you even if you call. I wanted to leave my luggage but there was no key in the key box. I called 10 times it was always said somebody is being notified und will call or show up at the premise. Nothing happened. Plus you have to climb 100+ stairs with your full luggage as no elevator exists thru a rather disgusting and run down stairways. Since they have a kitchen in the hallway to your room you will be waken up by the noise if someoene prepares their breakfast, really fun when this happens 6 am...

Entrance access difficult.

I can't review the property itself because I was unable to get in and we had to stay somewhere else. Most of this is likely due to my own stupidity, and lack of computer knowledge, but they did not send me the information to get into the unit until I was already gone. They could at least put their phone number on the building door or something. I did not take my phone with me because it is old and doesn't work well in foreign countries but it's tiny. Can't replace it. Black comedy of errors, and expensive. Make sure you have entrance info before you get on the plane or cancel the reservation.

Never got a code for the lockbox. Couldn’t get through to the 24/7 helpline number. Had to purchase another place to stay.
AFTER we booked and paid for another place to stay, we had someone else call with a Polish number and they got through the helpline. It seems only people will a Polish phone number can actually connect to Novum House helpline. Very unfortunate and frustrating to be left stranded.

Lovely room, check in not easy

Lovely apartment in a run down building, this is to be expected in Krakow. Ignore the state of the building as you enter as the room is absolutely lovely. I was not a fan of the AI phone system, I had to ring the property as they sent all the details in Polish. Check in was very confusing but once I received my email in English it was easy to follow instructions for getting into the room.

Perfect stay to be in the centre of the action

Amazing apartment just a stone throw away from the main square. Perfect spot to be right in the centre of where all the bars and restaurants are. We walked everywhere from here and was perfect for us. There’s not a lift so there’s a lot of steps to get up to the apartment but that’s just a minor when the apartment itself was so perfect. We were lucky enough to have had a balcony so had a lovely view of the top of the rynek glowny.

Nice location close to everything in the old town market Square. Lots of stairs but we knew that was what we signed up for. The instructions to find the apt and how to get in were a little confusing and we were not sent the email with our lockbox code as stated in the reservation. We ended up calling and it was rectified. Room is small (like a one bedroom out of an entire apartment) but very clean and modern. Bathroom shower was nice but not very practical or private because it was all glass windows. The only issue we had was that our room door would not lock properly so many of the days we had to sleep or leave everything in the room unlocked which was a bit unnerving. Overall it's a beautiful location close to everything, waking distance.

This property is in a perfect location and good room.

Room 502 has an all glass bathroom. It’s stupid if you want to have the window open and go in the shower everyone in the complex will be able to see you and if someone knocks on the door will be able to see straight into the bathroom.

*BE CAREFUL OF THE STEPS*
I know on the add it states there is no lift however there is 9 flights of stairs which can be tricky when you’ve had a drink haha however apart from this was great

The room itself was amazing in cleanliness, comfort of the bed and futuristic-looking glass bathroom, well equipped. But it is on a very high 5th floor with no elevator, so unless you have a light overnight bag with your pjs and toothbrush, you’ll be sweating hauling your bags up that stairwell. And on a Saturday night it might not be a pleasing climb if someone before you didn’t make it to the nearest loo. Overall a great room for strong young trekkers. View of rooftops around the autumn trees was nice and it was a pleasantly quiet room.

Apartment is on fith floor, no elevator.

Stayed end of September 2019 for four nights.

The airport shuttle run is extra cost (that wasn't clear on the website, just advertised as one of the amenities).
But do use the shuttle run organised by Novum Hotel reception as it was faultless in every way. Comfortable, on-time and priced correctly.

The apartment... Lovely to stay in.
You will be in one of four rooms that has its own shower room and toilet.
There is a corridor where all four rooms congregate with additional tea making facilities etc.

The most important part:
The apparent is on the fifth floor with no lift.
That means you will be walking up approximately 108 steps to get to your room.

There are no amazing views over the city as the windows point inwards to a large courtyard.

If you can live with walking up and down the stairwell then you won't have any complaints about staying here. It is minutes from the Market Square and you are right on top of places to eat and drink.

Lastly: Go to Krakow. Wherever you choose to stay, just go to Krakow. It is stunning. The Market Square illuminated in the evening is a true delight.

As others have said, it is a long climb. The apartment is on the top floor. It is very nice and clean and bonus, has a washer/dryer combo and wi-fi. There is a small kitchen with a refrigerator and stove but no oven. The biggest problem we had was no air conditioning. It was hot when we were in Poland. Since it is the top apartment it gets more heat during the day. The comfort level with the windows open wasn't bad and there is a fan in the room, but there is a lot of neighborhood noise which you would not hear with the windows shut. In any other time than summer this place would be great or just bring some earplugs. It is walking distance from the train/bus station and a huge shopping center. When you walk outside you are in old town. There are 24 hour stores nearby to get food and drinks. The location and price are excellent.

The stairs to the property was a problem about 12 flights before you got to yr studio once you finally got to the 5th floor studio was brilliant everything you could need immaculate bed was so comfy the staff had thought of everything right down to sewing kit first aid every toiletries you’d need iron ironing board perfect location (just the stairs)

The room is absolutely stunning! I stayed in 2 of Novum house and it was spotless! Everything is so modern and trendy and they provided me with everything from a iron and ironing board to slippers and sewing kits.Cannot fault it and will definitely be bookng again the Location is perfect for food and of course the drinks! So much bettter than any of the main chain hotels and a lot more character, my ONLY view for anyone to dislike is being on the fifth floor, but after a few vodkas you won’t notice! All very well lit and secured with electric doors so was perfect for me being by myself. 100000percent recommend for any one alone, in couples or just friends.

Great stay. Extremely quite room and very comfortable and clean. Close to main square and easily walkable. Plenty of cafes, restaurants nearby along with nightlife. Grocery shops are nearby if preference is to prepare food yourself. Check in was easy even though it was all done remotely - the instructions provided were detailed and clear. The staff were friendly and helpful, even printing my boarding pass for my outbound flight and delivering it to the room. The building we stayed in did not have an elevator (we were on 5th level) which may be consideration if mobility is a concern. I am very satisfied and would stay there again.

Great Location, but,,,

Amazingly close to everything, very comfortable, but this needs to be noted: the facilities is on the fifth floor of a building without an elevator. But if you do not mind 100 steps of climbing otherwise it is a great place. Another issue is that there is no reception, or reception is 10 minutes away from the facilities. However, receptionist Justanya was very very helpful indeed. It was strange that the housekeeping did not include replacing the dirty cups and providing new coffee pods, but the receptionist Justanya again was just wonderful in resolving such issues.

Fantastic location; just a 2 minute walk from the main square (cloth hall etc.). Felt odd going through a non-descript door, through a courtyard and up 5 flights of stairs but what awaited was excellent. Beautiful boutique room with a comfortable double bed, loft style fittings, lovely bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a large smart TV where you could sign into your Netflix account! Staff were very helpful and provided us with extra pillows and towels upon request. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

Scavenger hunt to enter excellent room.

The room itself is wonderful. The run-around to get your keys and settled is a bit too much. They give you an attachment with detailed instructions. You must retrieve a key fob from a parked bicycle on the street. Then you need to carry your luggage up five flights of stairs (it's actually six or more). But I made the mistake of hauling my luggage up the main stairs. You need to instead find an unmarked hallway which leads to a courtyard and then haul your luggage up THOSE stairs. I was told that once I was in my room, I could open the opposite door and retrieve my luggage from the front stairs (it's gated past the 4th floor), but NOT TRUE. Long story short, I climbed those six flights a total of five times (twice with my luggage) before being able to get settled. Once you're in your room, it's wonderful. Brand new construction and all the amenities. But it's like a treasure hunt to get there first.

Thomasz apartments

So we stayed in one of the Thomasz apartments. I believe that this may have been a brand new addition to the Novum House hotel. It is located in old town just off the main square. There were workers just finishing up in the corridor of the apartment, situated on the 5th floor (it is a bit of a trek up stairs, the apartment is actually called '100 Stairs' and is aptly named so please take that into account)

Despite the unfinished state (I believe that there will be a kitchenette in the corridor soon) this is a great place to stay. Great value, clean and nicely furnished in a modern way. The kitchenette will be a great addition.

We met staff only once and he was very friendly and helpful. I had a few questions by email before we arrived which were answered quickly and clearly.

A good choice for students, stags and folk on a slightly larger than minimal budget.

The location was perfect, very central - BUT this is an apartment in a shabby tenement block with noisy locals for neighbours.
The condition internally definitely needs some work. The front door handle/lock comes off when you touch it, 2 lights in the bathroom are out, kitchen radiator did not work and the gas boiler situated 3-4 yards from the bedroom had no CO alarm which worried me. The furniture is mismatched and shabby although it's a very comfortable bed with fresh linen. This is not an hotel room but if maintenance was carried out it would be a big improvement.
As the apartment is away from Novum House we arrived and waited 20minutes in very heavy rain to have the staff arrive with the key. A disappointing start.

Schönes Zimmer in sehr praktischer Lage. In meinem Zimmer waren Vorhänge am gläsernen Bad angebracht, was in einigen älteren Bewertungen anders zu lesen war. Gleich gegenüber auf der Straße ist ein kleiner Supermarkt und es ist wirklich alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Was könnte verbessert werden: Ich hatte den Online Check In schon deutlich im Voraus gemacht und dort Info bekommen, die Check In Codes würden am Anreisetag ab 0h verfügbar sein. Leider wurde auf meine Mail vom frühen Morgen nach den Zugangsdaten bzw ob etwas falsch gelaufen sei erst zum Check in Zeitpunkt mit den Infos geantwortet. Also nicht wundern. Infos, die ich bekommen habe, waren alle englisch und gut verständlich.

The apartment was located in good and strategic area. But it was at 5th floor without elevator in old building. Overall opinion is good for me because it was clean, comfortable room and also quite.
But the check-in procedure is very difficult first time and it was writtend in only polish language.

You'll receive lot of emails regarding procedures to check-in the apartment, and it was mentioned to receive all codes starting from your reservation time and automatically resent each 30mins using automation to guarantee your entry also for last minutes booking.

For me wasn't true and I got lot of issues to join my room.

Anyway the 24/7 assistance helped me and all issues has been solved, but I spent lot of time for that.

Fab location, lovely apartment, stressful check-in

Very quirky little property and a fantastic stay overall. Would definitely stay again - room was clean and stylish with a spacious bathroom and generally well-equipped. Location couldn’t be better for exploring Krakow on foot. Just be aware that the room isn’t in a hotel it’s in the top floor of a tenament building. In the end this made for quite a nice tucked-away and kind of authentic place to stay but very different to what I expected when we arrived. Not helped by the fact that we hadn’t been sent a self check-in code and entrance instructions were all in Polish - google translate came to the rescue and a quick call to main reception resolved this really smoothly but just make sure to check they send the code in advance! Apartment itself was spacious and in great condition, bed was comfy and all amenities provided.

Sehr gute Ausgangslage für Stadterkundung, hell und freundlich, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Tee, Kaffee, Zucker .... Stand zur Verfügung, meistens ruhig, wenn nicht im Hof gefeiert wurde. Schön war auch der Blick auf einen Baum. Der Vorraum (Flur) heizte mit seinem Glasdach die Wohnung bei der ohnehin großen Hitze zusätzlich auf. Zum Glück gab es einen Ventilator.

La posizione della struttura è più che eccellente, praticamente in centro, a due passi dalla piazza principale.
Si comunica con la reception tramite mail.
Il fatto che sia al quarto piano senza ascensore è penalizzante, però per il.prezzo che si paga si può fare!
L'appartamento si trova sopra un ristorante quindi non conviene aprire le finestre dalle 18.00 fino al mattino, l'odore di cucina è fastidioso.
L'appartamento è molto luminoso, ma in bagno non c'è una finestra.
La camera è molto molto carina!
Consiglio l'appartamento per il rapporto qualità/prezzo/posizione

La chambre est vraiment sympa et bien agencée avec le confort (shampoing, serviette, chaussons...). Elle se trouve au dernier étage d'un immeuble c'est un ancien appartement qui a du être divisé en 3 chambres avec un espace cuisine partagé.
Il faut penser a appeler avant pour avoir les codes pour rentrer dans les deux immeubles qui vous permettent d'accéder à votre chambre (ils parlent anglais) car il n'y a pas d'accueil.
Le quartier est vraiment bien situé avec toutes les commodités autour... vous allez vous régaler.
