This is my second stay at this hotel. We had a pleasant experience about six years ago, but this time the hotel seemed very run down. The towels and linens were extremely thin and did not look clean, and the room did not appear to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. Breakfast was awful. Unfortunately, everything that made our previous stay enjoyable was missing this time, except for the location.

The hotel rents their staple for events and the music was loud till 11pm- to the point that the floors in my room were vibrating (our room was right above the banquet space). The room was not cleaned even once during my 3 night stay. Feels that the quality is deteriorating with each stay.

If you're visiting friends or family in the Bay Ridge area (or are marooned by a commuter railroad strike as I was) this is a fine place to stay. It is reasonably clean and the free breakfast provided, though basic, is pretty good.

Great location and very confortable. The staff is incredibly kind. This is our second time and it keeps on looking better and better with the remodeling. We complaied about someone smoking weed on our floor and they immediately took care of it.

When we arrived at 6:30 PM we were told that our room had not yet been cleaned and told to wait for a while. We told the front desk staff we would go eat and come back. When we returned at 8:30 PM we were told again that our room was not ready. There were at least 6 others waiting for their rooms. We left and found another hotel.

Checked in at 3pm, was told by the front staff that our room is not ready and will need another 20 min. So we stepped out to have dinner , and came back at 8pm, room still not ready. Asked the front staff, he had no answer why and left for about an hour and a half before returning with a room.

The Best Wetern Gregory Hotel is the only lodging option in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and it serves well for those who need to be in the area. It is safe, clean and comfortable, at reasonable prices, and the included breakfast includes many choices. If one needs to get to downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan, the R subway line is just two blocks away. On the downside, the place is somewhat spartan and they are in the midst of renovation.

Room was not available at time of checkin. Elevator was not working. Our room was on the third floor so we had to carry our bags up two flights of stairs. Building was erected in 1926 so stairs are fairly narrow and steep. Also website said parking was free. That's because you have to find a place to parking on the street.

Great location, decent price. Front desk staff was kind, housekeeping was very pushy and demanded tips, even lingered outside the door for a few minutes asking for a tip when we were leaving. I did tip later but didn’t have any cash on me at that moment. Entered our room even with the privacy sign on, attempting to service the room. My partner refused housekeeping at this time, and he told her not to say no and not to close the door. Was scary to myself and my partner. Room was 81 degrees when we came in, just had to pump the a/c for the day and go somewhere else. Room smelled a bit like smoke, but otherwise was very clean which was nice. Breakfast was great. Elevator was out of service. For the location it’s fantastic if you’re needing to be in Bay Ridge. However, I would encourage you to stay somewhere else if you can, you’ll find a similar room for maybe a higher price.

I would like a refund. First, the elevator was broken down, and it didn't just happen. I have bad knees and it hurt having to walk up the three flights of stairs. They did not let us know ahead of time. We had to be up early the next morning for a funeral, but did not get any sleep because all night we heard the people above us walking around and the bed sqeaking for two hours.

The room was nice enough and the bed was comfortable (although would have preferred a queen size). The elevator was under repair for the last day of our trip, so a bit inconvenient, but you gotta fix what you gotta fix. Breakfast bar was OK. Location was great! Not a lot of options in Bay Ridge, but this really worked well for us! For a non-smoking facility, there was the smell of smoke in the hallway and a bit in our room.

The hotel over all didn't look clean. The bed sheets where stained. There were small roaches in the bathroom sink and coffee table. The towels smelled like humidity or like they were there for some time without being washed and there was no soap in the dispenser. Thank God I always bring my own towels and soap. I did tell the front desk lady about the soap and she handed me two little bar soaps. She said she thought that was taken care of. She was really nice though. I wasn't trying to be picky as I went for a funeral but it's just common sense and courtesy. The lack of parking was ridiculous and stressful specially when you are with kids. It took me over an hour both nights just to find a spot. The noise from other guests was insane. There were people screaming, laughing loudly, horse playing in the hallway, a couple fighting and the female kicking Johnny out of the room and Johnny cursing her out saying he pays the bills there, beds shaking all night and people upstairs walking all night were the highlights of our nights there. It was just a bit too much for us. Now the lobby, front desk area and breakfast area was nice and clean. The breakfast was good for what it was. It seems like all of the work is put in the front lobby and main floor but the floors and rooms need work.

well the hotel was close to where I needed to go that was the only reason I gave it poor instead of terrible.. first checked in .. agent was fine and friendly.. but this is where this stops.. room run down smelled like smoking weed in room .. temperature was like 100 degrees and no thermostat.. had to call they adjusted now it was like 40 degrees..went down to pick up my food delivery… this is when the unexpected happened.. in walled a guy with his girlfriend well i’m sure it was a girl friend for rent .. asked to book a room with 0 i’d and 0 credit card .. and it was allowed .. the agent said no but someone who was supposed the manager came out and allowed.. wow amazing i paid almost 200 for this hotel…Best Western should be ashamed

I've stayed at the Gregory multiple times and I come back for a reason. The staff is always kind and diligent and the neighborhood is wonderful. I normally stay during the week. The food service is great, but on the weekends breakfast item run out so fast that the staff can't keep up. I call them weekend locusts. People who eat three and four plates of breakfast because it's free. Other than the staff having trouble keeping up with that, it's just a wonderful place to stay, and that's why I keep coming back.

I think a complimentary water per guest should be a requirement. $2 after that is fine. No property should be losing money over water. I think a message or note that snacks or drinks are unavailable for purchase. I understand shopping at the local corner store is the strategy behind that. I also understand getting what you paid for is in play for this property. The shower head to my bathroom was super loud don’t know if that normal. Overall I thought it was an ok stay at best

I was on a girls trip and we were just staying the night. I'd already stayed at this hotel before and was back, so looks good for the Gregory already. We needed a rollaway bed and they brought it right up, set it up, made the bed and brought me extra pillows. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and the didn't even charge me for the bed which the website said was for a surcharge. I will go there again. Probably on my next of many trips to New York.

The first room we were given was not cleaned. The bed was not even made. They gave us a different room which seemed clean enough. The rooms are small, and the hotel itself is pretty run down. I paid half the price for a hotel on LI and that one was way nicer. I would not stay here again.
