Following its refurbishment this four-storey hotel, located in the former Renaissance palace of Prospero Provano, meets all the modern standards of hospitality. 56 rooms are available, including eleven suites.

This hotel was so beautiful and comfortable. I had such an amazing time here and it is in a prime location! The spa was such a wonderful amenity! I loved being able to go there after a lot day and even got a really nice massage! The spa was just gorgeous and needed after all of my travels.

The only downside about this hotel was the noise. Since it’s in the heart of old town, people are very loud all hours of the night and you can definitely hear them. That’s not the hotels fault of course but I definitely recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Other than that I 100% recommend this hotel and I would be delighted to stay here again. It was probably one of the top best places I’ve stayed!

Location is close to the main train station, and is a stones throw away from the main square, with plenty of bars and restaurants within the immediate vicinity.

The spa area is very relaxing and intimate. There has been a lot of good options crammed into a small area, with the plunge pool particularly impressive, along with the steam room that generates more steam than I've seen in any other.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom was particularly nice.

Negatives:

The room given it's location was not suitably soundproofed. Me and my partner got barely any sleep due to the raucous nature of passers by who were going to and from the local bars and clubs in the vicinty. It was very disappointing, and was exacerbated by a pretty flimsy duvet and pillow that didn't do much to improve the comfort of our sleep.

Given the price compared to other local options, it was sadly a disappointing stay.

Beds uncomfortable, pillows are air and not much else. tv so old, no Netflix etc as per the smart tv's of the 2020's. Breakfast is dire in taste and no choices to avoid eating the cooked food that made us both be sick..... and more like a 2 star motel. hotel is nice and location is fab and staff are nice and helpful but I am counting the days to leaving.

The hotel is located in a boisterous place, the noise ends around 5 am, so practically you can not sleep if your room faces the street.

This is a great hotel. The staff are so friendly and the housekeeping is excellent. The only thing is the drain in the bathroom cannot keep up with the water coming down from the shower. If you had your shower on, more than 10 seconds, the whole bathroom would have been flooded. The handheld is the only option.

Far from 5-star standards

The staff was unfortunately not very welcoming, lacking kindness and a smile. The apartment was fine, with a nice view of St. Mary’s Church, but there was a strange, unpleasant smell in the room.

The real disaster was breakfast – flies on the cold cuts, dried-out cheese. This is an absolute scandal for a 5-star hotel. On top of that, there was complete chaos: the waitress insisted that breakfast was not included in the rate, although it obviously was – it had to be clarified at the reception desk.

An even bigger issue occurred at check-in. Although the stay was fully prepaid, I could not check in without providing a credit card number, which was then entered into the hotel’s system. This was not a standard pre-authorization hold but permanent storage of card details. If I hadn’t had a credit card, I wouldn’t have been able to use an already paid stay. This is absolutely not the standard of a 5-star hotel.

There are definitely better hotels in Krakow in this price range – with welcoming staff, pleasant rooms, and truly outstanding breakfasts. I do not recommend this place.

Great location a few minutes walk from Main Square

Perfect location within the pedestrianised area of Krakow Old Town, and just a few minute’s walk from the Main Square. Parking is available - valet service only, at an extra charge - but I recommend that you call ahead to get the drop-off address to input into your GPS, otherwise your GPS probably won’t let you enter the pedestrianised zone. The Pod Roza hotel is clean and comfortable, with modern fittings in an gorgeous old building. We sorted out our own breakfast so I can’t comment on the hotel’s offering. There are sauna and hot tub facilities in the basement - bring a swimsuit!

From the time I arrive to the time I departed it was an absolute pleasure.
So I arrive after 2pm and my room is ready and cozy
The hotel is located on the Main Street of the old town and 100m away from the main square.
I dropped off my bags and went exploring the castle and various communicated that make up Krakow.
I returned and freshen up before heading out for dinner. There are so many options, it would take a year to try each of them.
After a great meal, I returned to the hotel and visited the day spa (which costs no more). Ummmm do I have to leave?
This was amazing and I got to relax and unwind
I returned to my room and settled in for the night (which is noisy from all the bars)
The next day I work up for a good cardio followed by a Michelin breakfast (that means basil oil in the oats and breakfast sampler)
After breakfast I was out on a tour and returned for a dinner in the square and a pub crawl that could last 100m before I’d already had too many
If you want to experience Krakow and spoil yourself for a reasonable price, this is your choice. Hands down

Beautiful, renovated hotel with incredible spa (included in room rate)! Staff were professional but a little stand-offish, and, aside from spa staff, not particularly helpful. We were told upon check-in that breakfast was included in our stay, but found out it was not when we ordered at the restaurant, which was awkward, and meal was very expensive compared to area offerings. Still recommend a stay here, based on price and quality/comfort of accommodations.

Hotel Roza is on the cutest street not far off of Old Town Square. Transportation is easy to Schindler’s Factory (30 minute walk option) or a guided tour of Auschwitz.
Bathroom is small but shower is nice. Laundry service is available at a price.

Some hotels have a signature scent that hits you when you walk in. We arrived sometime after midnight, and the foyer floor was being mopped. The area smelled of floor cleaner; however, the smell did not disappear. Every time we walked in, the pungent citrus smell of Flash smacked us in the nostrils.

The hotel is nice in an old-world sort of way. The staff is generally delightful, but the ergonomics of the rooms need to be considered.

Sockets were not placed where they are useful. The one for the desk is near the floor.

The bathroom was nice but nowhere to put the hand towel. Mine was draped over the back of the washbasin. The robe was way too small and I am an average size. Slippers were made from some eco fabric - good idea but they were not comfortable and not ideal for wet feet. The shower flows more quickly than the drain lets the water out, so the whole bathroom gets wet.

The rooms we have (singles) had a lot of furniture in them relative to the room size, leaving little space.

On a positive note - the air con was simple to use and actually worked.

Breakfast was fabulous - staff to guest ration of around 2:1 and excellent vegan options offered.

We got late check out and they kept our bags and car for a few hours longer.

The staff are lovely - with a little thought, the hotel could be really wonderful too.

Simply beautiful hotel,room, people, food, location is perfect right in the center of the old town. I would definitely stay again, the only thing I would like to point out is that it gets little stressful to get there by car if you drive it yourself, narrow streets, one way but they do an excellent job with the valet parking! Overall one of the most beautiful and classy hotels I stayed at!
