For a breakfast, I was expecting a little more than granola, some fruit and a few pastries as well as bread.
Coffee and orange juice are provided as well.
Overall this is a nice place to stay, The rooms do not have a “Do Not Disturb” sign so if you don’t lock your door, expect the cleaning ladies to show up and open the door.

I arrived at the Hive Cancun a bit nervous and extremely tired as it was my first time there..
it wasn’t long that I was feeling better after meeting the hotel manager and started interacting with the great staff on site. Everyday I discovered new benefits of choosing this wonderful hotel. The rooms are very spacious and well thought out. I really liked the sliding door to help reduce noise at night and lighting features. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. You can enjoy sushi, spa services, money exchange and convenience stores all within steps. Uber was easy to use for this location and needed to get into the beaches etc. The price was very reasonable for my trip package so spending the extra money and time to go to local beaches and other attractions was well worth it 😊 Thank you Hive Cancun

There were stratches and alot of damage to the walls of the hotel. The walls are very thin, I could hear footsteps outside my door, conversations of the other guests and employees, the music being played by the hotel was extremely loud and not very conscious or considerate of all the guests who were not interested in hearing the music. The T.V was not preprogrammed for American guest and only offered Netflix that was mostly preoccupied by the other guests as the Netflix account stated \" The number of people using the Netflix account has reached it max.\" I think the continental breakfast could have offered more than a couple of pastries and fruit. Perhaps maybe some pancakes, waffles, eggs, and/or bacon could have been great alternatives. These are cheap affordable options I believe that any hotel could rotate into their breakfast menu and offer without breaking the hotel's budget. The hotel seriously needs to consider adding \"Do not disturb\" signs for the front door. Twice I was barged in on by the maids when I was undressed or unpresentable. I know I am forgetting quite alot but I was very unimpressed by the service and quality of amenities offered by this hotel. Seeing how the surrounding restaurants, convenience stores, services, etc., were rather expensive, I think that the hotel could have been more accomodating. I actually think that the hotel drinks and food served at the bar were more expensive than the most of the surrounding establishments.

I had to book a room last minute, as my flight home to the US was cancelled. The room was run down. The hotel is right next to a busy highway and you hear every car that goes by. To utilize the air conditioner means you have a bright light shining all throughout the night (bad for those who require darkness). And they actually watered down their shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, but not that hand soap oddly enough. Despite this, the staff was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant on the 1st floor was surprisingly good with very friendly service and the setup on the first floor with a pool, hot tub, bar and restaurant was lovely. This hotel has potential to be much better/nicer than they are currently.

Great stay for a single night but wouldn't enjoy as a vacation spot. Pros were the onsite restaurant, friendly staff (all but one in our stay), nice spacious room layout (we were in jr King bed suite). Cons were the pool and hot tub temperatures and location/view were uninviting, they ran out of clean towels and all guests were told they had to wait until 10am the next morning, this seemed to be a nirmal situation by their response. BTW there is a superstore one block down so guests were told they could go purchase new ones. The overall views from the hotel could be underwhelming though there were a couple of angles that were good for a nice picture.

Again, very good for a very short term stay that doesn't include enjoying the pool options.

We chose to stay here for one night as we arrived to Cancun a day before my brother and his family. The place was close to the airport which made it a convenient location. There was a seafood restaurant across the street that had good food and drinks. What I really liked about this place was the room. The room was spacious, updated and clean. My husband and I ordered a drink at the restaurant bar and we didn’t really care for the drinks. The bar guy was nice, but could work on the cocktails. The next day before we left, we went up to the rooftop restaurant for breakfast and even though the breakfast was continental the pastries, fruit and coffee was delicious.

My room was clean but had a disgusting smell to it, I had to purchase a candle to light. Bathroom walls need to be repainted, they were noticibly dirty. The wood work is beautiful and shouldn't be overlooked nor overpowered by dirty walls or a smelly room. I'm not a fan of a black swimming pool. My 8 yr old was afraid to get in because she said it didn't look clean. In all fairness you could see the calcium build up in certain areas of the pool and hot tub. The owners should really consider changing the tiles. The pool and bar area itself, is lovely and that would make it more inviting. Breakfast was continental, so I expected that but it was still good.

Check in and out was fast and all of the hotel staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The manager was very customer friendly and quickly resolved a small issue I had. That within itself made the stay more pleasant. And I appreciates that the most.

Well to start, It’s not in a great part of town and the traffic noise is constant. Then the first day they ran out of caffeinated coffee for the rooms so I had to get dressed and go to the restaurant to get coffee in the morning. Fortunately it’s next door to a 7-11. The dining area is open air so if it rains (which it did most late afternoons) you can’t use it. The pool is small and faces south (I think) so the sun never really shines around the pool.

The staff is very nice but there was a struggle with some communications as their English was about as good as my Spanish.

Over all I think there are better places for the money.

There wifi doesn’t work in the rooms. It only works in the common areas. We complained about it and they said they are trying to make it work but nothing changed. Also the “continental breakfast” they offer has fruits and bread. That’s it.

The property is really nice and fancy but there are certain shortcoming.

The hotel overall is nice. It has a nice view from the balcony and the bamboos for the hallways are also good for taking pictures. However just like most of Mexico they keep trying to rip you off because you are a foreigner. The intercontinental breakfast is just juice, bread and some fruits. Limited food choices on the menu. The area isn’t the best for tourist as the Ubers were finding it difficult to find the hotel and everything (the strip) is 30mins away.

was shocked by what happened during my stay. The hotel gave another guest a key card to my room, and she actually entered while we were sleeping. It was frightening and completely unacceptable. When I went to the front desk, the staff member kept repeating “okay, okay” with no real concern. He only apologized once he realized I was holding him accountable for his mistake.

This is a serious safety issue. Guests should never have to worry about strangers being given access to their room. I ultimately left and chose a hotel that prioritizes hospitality and safety, where security was taken seriously.

The manager promised a partial refund but never followed through, which only confirmed how little accountability this hotel takes.

Nothing worked at this property. They had to change my room 3 times because one thing or the other was not working in the room. The spa was not available as advertised, and they had no reason for this. I would have said this was a great value for the price, but based on my experience, I got what I paid for. To top it off, the last room they put me in had roaches in it. Since it was the last day of my stay, I just said nothing as I was already done with the hotel. I will say the staff were friendly. I can't blame the condition of the hotel on the people who work there.

Typical Cancún fashion. the check-in person tried to hustle me and my sister, 2 separate reservation, 15 us each , saying it was a mandatory Tax. When I showed him to pls show on the reservation where it stated that, he couldn't find it. Then he proceeded to want to show me on his own paperwork and failed. He then told me HE WOULD NOT accept my reservation. I asked for a manager and after 10 mins acting like he was on the phone and flipping thru his own paperwork work, he kept apologizing stating that before it was written on the contract. Beware! This is wrong and illegal!! Take care of this problem!

I did not like that the property did not have any of the advertised amenities in working condition. I verified before confirming booking the property is okay with our giving wash cloths I had to complain 4 times in order to just get two wash cloths. There excuse was they were out and that I’ll have to deal with it. It want until I was like I checked in today and my room was not properly stocked and how it was unacceptable. I did not like the selection of food it was very limited the hours of service was limited and the hotel seemed deserted so I was confused how my room was not stocked. They charge for every snack water or anything put in the room. So I choose to indulge in the 711 downstairs instead they did not fully close out my stay which is unsettling so I’m just hoping I don’t have unnecessary charges. Will I return that will be a no. Also the photos online are super catfish I paid the up charge to have the premium room but what they don’t show you have to travel up not well maintained spiral stair case to reach your private pool/ jacuzzi upstairs above your suite.

I did not feel safe here, as a solo female traveler I asked for a silent room and then encountered many noise disturbances that could have been handled and fixed easy by the one who provoked them- maintenance staff. Reception would not pick up calls made from room. Be ready to pay extra fees upon check in that are not written when making the booking. I did not had breakfast nor dine in here. Also avoid sushi place next door. It felt like a scam kinda of place.

There was some kind of eco conservation charge we were not aware of when we checked in. It wasn’t a huge deal. It was only seven dollars, but I don’t know the way it was collected did not seem legit. The property is great. The people that work there are awesome. The water in the shower did not get very warm. But it was great :-)

For a far cheaper alternative to staying on the hotel strip, Hive isn't bad. The rooms are very large and housekeeping is consistent. But, we were expecting a little more. The Hive website makes it out to be this lux spa hotel...but in reality we didn't see any yoga classes, and I believe the steam room & sauna cost extra and have to be booked in advance. We got minimal info/communication from the staff - for example, no grettings when we came and went from the hotel. We wandered around looking for breakfast without anyone asking us if we needed help. The breakfast included was a big factor for us, but turns out the breakfast was just toast, black coffee, fruit, and a mini croissant. The hotel is off of a busy main road so you do get quite a bit of street noise. The area is pretty industrial/suburban so limited things to do, but there are somw restaurants nearby. Ubers to the beach cost $15-20 USD and take ahout 25min. Overall, it was a fine experience without any issues.

This property is not in the hotel zone/tourist areas of Cancun excellent for travelers seeking a true local experience. Excellent grocery stores nearby including Walmart, Aki, and Soriana - my favorite and open 24hrs. Airport is 10-20min.
Free parking and taxis avsil. On site and next door offer shops, bars and restaurants. Suburban feel with urban amenities. All suite hotel with two floors: main level includes comfy bed, bathroom, very spacious closet, large smart TV, dining table/chairs, perfect sofa/coffee table with a fabulous balcony, bistro chairs/table. A wrap around stairwell leads to upper deck with ultra clean, spacious, plunge pool including two high-end sun loungers plus two VERY comfortable chairs with fluffy cushions. Plants and special lighting perfectly complement the space. Relaxing with a glass of wine, smooth jazz, while enjoying the city view and sounds was blissful. Property offers a restaurant/bar serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks with outdoor seating and inviting lounge with large-screen TV. The infinity pool, hot tub, and gym are amazing. Modern, recently constructed and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and take pride in serving guests. As a solo female traveler, i gelt very safe and rnjoyed my stay. My only request: FULLY stock the kitchenette with necessities incl coasters, mini spices. Espresso machine is nice but pod/coffee pot would be more appreciated by guests. Bar graciously provided ice while ice machine was under repair.

For mor than 2 days, problems arise:
-in 9 days staying the jacuzzi worked 2 days
- swimingpool first 3 days was filthy
-3 days I did not see butter
-I had 5 days with margarine not butter
-no milk offered 6 days of the stay
-continental breakfest?? Is not supposed to have pastries? All offered was bread
-Ice machine not working
- In the room they ' forgot' to bring back after first day the small vanity towels
-The Nexpresso cofee machine had coffee pads for 2 days in 8 days stay
-Asked 3 times for a manager, never in the hotel
-4th floor looks like is abandoned, restaurant, bar and 'bread oven'? Closed.
Do not book for more than 2 days stay!!

BE AWARE and PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE. I had to beg in order for me to get my VIP benefits. Also, they made me pay extra money which they say is for “resort fee or taxes”. This was not mentioned on Expedia site!!! I dont even know why expedia allow this hotel to be listed as VIP hotel. Note: For you all protection use a card that will give you protection by any fraudulent charge and if you decide to stay anyways please make a video of the condition of the room as soon you enter.

If you are going to Cancun for like a party vacation , this hotel is not it . If you need some few days away from home to go read or do soul searching then yes . The breakfast is such a lie . They cut three piecies of fruit and orange juice in a little cup . That’s it . Anything else you have to pay . It’s a good stop for one or two days stay but definitely not like a hotel stop . Don’t book transportation through hotel either cuz they left us stranded at the airport

The interior and exterior of the hotel was beautifully done. The staff and the false promises on the booking website was what made our experience bad. The staff barely spoke English, and we had to ask three times before getting requested services. When we arrived there were 2 extra beds in our room, and when we asked for them to be remove since we didnt need them, it took 3 days before someone came, even though we asked multiple times. The kitchen in the room, which was not fully equipped, as written on the website, didnt work either. We almost had to 'force' the staff into our room to have them help us fix the hotplate. If you wish to cook, you need to request the equipment from the staff, but you still dont get anything to clean with, or a cooking board and propper knife to cut with. On the website it also states that there will be free drinking water. This meant that you only get 0.4ml per person, per day.
The breakfast was also not a highlight and completely free as written in the booking. It consist of toastbread, a toaster, and six bowls of cereal topping (ants were crawling out of it), but if you want yoghurt or milk, you need to pay for it. You get a few slices of fruit served to your table, and if you ask for more you need to pay for it.
The staff presents you with a bill and says everything is included, except for the service, implying that we need to pay them in tips. The staff will look as you are are paying to make sure you leave a tip. 4 stars but should be 2.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was ignored at the front desk for about 15–20 minutes. It was a baffling experience—they showed no concern that I was waiting. I had to repeatedly approach them before they finally assisted me. The customer service was terrible. As an Expedia VIP, I was supposed to receive a food and beverage credit as well as a room upgrade. However, when I inquired about the credit, the staff had no idea what it was, and I never received it.

Aside from the poor customer service, I only stayed for one night, and the hotel itself appeared to be in good condition with well-maintained rooms. Unfortunately, the negative customer service experience left a lasting impression.
