Worst chai latte I’ve ever had in my life at the restaurant downstairs. Slippery floors in bathroom, no floor towel or rug provided. Zero front desk or people to ask questions, you have to catch a cleaning staff member if you need anything. Overall just not great, especially for someone coming from out of the country.

I didn’t like that this was an autonomous hotel, there was no front desk staff. I didn’t like that it was all based on a PIN number instead of a key. As a solo female traveler, it was a little unsettling. I didn’t have any issues, but I still didn’t love it. Overall, it was a fine stay. I would only return if I had a one night stay in Cancun.

Ok I hate to do this cause the property was kind of cool, but there was no staff there, I got in late from a delayed flight, and upon arrival I had to wade through how to let myself in the gated door, cause everything was run remotely! Also there is bad service there, and the WiFi wouldn’t kick in, so it was help from the taxi driver that I got in! Totally weird that I was going into a un maned place!
2nd thing was that the add read breakfast included, starts at 7am, no one there at 7:30, no coffee, nothing, finally the breakfast cook came, 7:45am, I’m running tight for my flight, no time for breakfast, he barely got a cup of coffee to me and wanted to charge me 50 pesos!! Can you believe that? I finally told him all of this was unacceptable to run a hotel like this, with no
Mention of this on the website or the booking companies, he relented to giving me the coffee, or maybe it was the steam coming out of my ears!! This whole episode put a hell of a lot more stress on my allready stressful journey, I would not recommend! Which is a shame, cause if they had staff there it would have been kinda cool!

Once I arrived I called the tel # on info at main door and I was sent my info to get in.
Once in all was great! Felt safe and all fell in place.

I was in Cancun on emergency business and I needed a place to stay near by. It was a very nice hotel. The grounds were very, The room were very clean and the bed was comfortable but it are very dated. The restaurant was menu is very limited. There is no staff on site except for the restaurant attendees and maintenance personal.

Very cute villa! You can tell the amount of care they put in to keep it so beautiful. The staff were very sweet and it has a little games room and some games outside by the pool! Check in was easy with a code. We ordered some dinner and breakfast from the restaurant and it was super yummy and homemade! Would stay again for another night, as it’s close to the airport.

If you are looking for an aesthically pleasing, quiet and human contactless stay experience then go to the Villa Palmeras in Cancun. There pool was maintained twice in 4 days. There little activity room is hot and unmaintained. We stayed here 3 days and 4 nights. All of the days except for one we had no WIFI in our room. The television was completely in Spanish and had no WIFI connection.I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent stay at Villa Palmeras. While a vacation should be a time of relaxation, the complete lack of basic service and the unprofessionalism of the management turned this experience into a significant source of frustration.
The most egregious issue was a total failure in guest assistance. We were locked out of the hotel for over thirty minutes with no immediate way to enter. When I reached out to the owner/manager for help, the response was shockingly hostile. Not only was she dismissive and rude, but she hung up on me multiple times during an active service crisis. To make matters worse, she later claimed that a staff member had assisted us—a blatant falsehood, as we remained stranded without meeting anyone.
The property suffered from a systemic lack of support across the board:
Zero Accountability: Despite being clearly short-staffed, there was no effort made to compensate for the lack of presence. Requests for help were met with indifference rather than solutions.
Failed Amenities: The Wi-Fi was non-existent,

We had to contact Expedia as our check in code was not provided morning of check in . We finally got check in access late at night and when we do check in at 1am we walked into a room that was occupied already. This was very disturbing being two female travellers and arriving at night with people in our “supposed room” . After finally getting in touch with the hotel via what’s app they gave us a different room which had no extra security lock on top. And after having just walked in on someone else we felt it was very unsafe and could be done to us. I am a travel agent and would not recommend this for safely and security purposes. I have photos of my messages with the hotel telling us which room to enter and the code as well as photos of the room being occupied by other guests. After a long travel day this was so scary and disappointing . A refund should’ve offered .

The location of the property is not very convient unless you have your own vechile as there are no taxis that pass through. Property ground is decent, rooms are nice and clean. The food however seems more like its cooked before then microwaved when order. Internet goes in and out and that is a problem as everything is virtual.

We always stay here our first night in Cancun/Playa Del Carmen. It is a quiet little gem with its own restaurant. The food is OK, but the atmosphere is idyllic. My only complaint is the recent automation of checking in. I don’t have service once I get to Mexico so obtaining the code to access the hotel and our room is a bit of a hassle.

the hotel is near the airport but isolated from anything commercial near by. I arrived from Playa del Carmen in colectivo at night having to cross a major intersection where cars are going at 80km/h+ which made it for a dangerous experience. Also the walk from there at night it's quite long and sketchy with many dark spots along the way although the neighbourhood looks safe. The internet was really bad, kept crashing and a big let down. The little staff that was there were friendly. All in all the experience was ok for what was paid.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. There is no front desk staff so I guess they are saving money but at a huge damage to experience. Arrived early and was very tired but told I couldn’t check in till 3. I was not told to look for a whatsapp message so wairmted in libby over 2 hours for room to be available. At 3 I finally asked and was tjen informed it was in a message. So at that point I found I was in room 1 whichis right in the lobby/restaurant. It had been ready the whole time. When I complained that I have never had to wait hours for an already ready room the virtual front staff was just rude to me. During the 2 hour wait for no reason there were guests fighting in the lobby around me, making a scene. Once I got into my room I wanted to nap but because the door is in tne restaurant area and is paper thin there was constat LOUD noise for the entire afternoon and evening including a laege family with screaming children for close to 2 hours. The door code is difficult and a strange guest seeing I was having trouble getting in my room wanted to \"help\" asling me my code and when I told him I would not tell other guests my code he creeped outside and started commenting on the numbers I was pressing. Later that night the couple fighting in the lobby woke me up at 1am again fighting in lobby. ALL NIGHT those two were screaming either at each other or one on their phone. I wanted to go out and tell them to shut up but feared for my safety. I sent MANY complaints.

After a very long day and a scary evening, we booked this place last mintue. Litterally 1 hour from booking to arrival. Drivng in we were a little bit hesitant because it was super dark. We checked in without issue. Coming into the site off the street was like a hidden paradise. BEAUTIFUL. I am so glad we had an emergency that we needed to book and discover this hidden gem. Our entire experience was amazing. The coffee was dreamy and the staff amazing! Highly recommend, I will be back with my family in tow.

We had expected to have drinkable water in the room for the three people registered but none was available. As it was afterhours (10 pm) no front desk people to ask.

However, the room toiletries dispensers were all empty, what appeared to be a hot tub was actually cold with a non heated pool. They advertise a sports bar, but there was no Television, only a projector that you had to hook up yourself. Being out of country made this function not work, so the Super Bowl at a sports bar was a flop. But for the price it was a nice stay and convenient by the airport with a driver easily arranged for us.

The room itself was not bad. I loved the location. The kitchen staff was really nice. I liked that you had a code to get in and out of the room and main door. My biggest issue with this location is the WiFi. WiFi barely worked and tv did not work. Also, it was almost as if they had up a scrambler because my cell phone would work just fine until I would get back to the hotel then it would go completely out. I have AT&T and Verizon and neither service would work. I had to drive to the nearest 7-11 just to be able to complete some work on my laptop. I even tried hooking up my hotspot and that did not work. The booking agent was very helpful and stayed in communication with me via WhatsApp’s the entire time. She did state that the internet was out and with no estimate time of restoration. I think that was true for my last day but not the others. The shower head was semi damaged so the water was not coming out of the actual head but in fact it was coming from behind the head. I got this hotel last minute because originally where I was staying turned out to be trash so I needed someone last minute as I was already on the island. Overall I do not think i would stay here again just off the internet connection alone. If they would fix that and the shower head I would recommend this place to anyone that does not want to stay in hotel zone and wants to experience playa del Carmen.

Upon booking, It was not clear that there was not a human on the property. I was traveling with another female and we DID NOT feel safe! We did not get the code to get in, couldn’t get the WiFi to work, the room was very hot, no elevators for heavy luggage.. etc.
we did enter the room in hopes of it being up to our standards according to the Expedia app. But it definitely was not! Very disappointed. I messaged the property and they denied a refund when we weren’t even there 30 min…

Upon arriving at the property, we couldn't enter or access the Wi-Fi; even the QR code wasn't working. We contacted you via WhatsApp, but you never responded with a solution; you simply sent the same photos. The television wasn’t working either. Since the WiFi wasn’t working, it was very hard to contact an uber and was very scared he would miss his flight in the morning. You’re not able to talk with anyone and the area is very dark and secluded behind an alleyway. The locks on the room door were broken and I have pictures to show this. Didn’t stay at the property, left and found another hotel downtown.

The property is very old and rooms need serious maintenance. Don't trust the room photos or high ratings. The AC was noisy and worked on single setting. The bed had certain constant vibration feel from the floor or wall idk. The pillows given were terrible and had worst ever filling which felt like some crumbled garbage. Balcony chairs were dirty and stained. The washroom needed serious maintenance. No hot water in shower. Very low pressure shower. No elevators to take your luggage to the rooms which are not on ground floor.

The parking door doesn't close at night leaving your car open to risk although nothing happened to us.

Very secluded area location and could feel little unsafe if you're going there late at night although we didn't run into into problems.

I'm summary, not worth even the low price you'll pay.

Staff seemed fine and I enjoyed the automated check in. It’s a perfect little location if you have a layover and know you’re not trying to get to the beach or enjoy the nightlife. However, I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The drawer had someone’s leftover condom and half of some sort of pill in the drawer. If this was missed who knows what else was skipped over during the cleaning process
