The staff was amazing, and the hotel overall was perfect. It is currently high seaweed season, so the beach was not at its best, but that is beyond the hotel’s control. The food was excellent at all of the restaurants, and the service was outstanding throughout our stay. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely return. Thanks to Dayana for all her kindness. It was my son’s birthday and they decorated beautifully our room and make him a cake. We really enjoy this hotel.

Service top notch. In general everyone was very friendly and helpful but Indi and Moisés are a truly example of what Customer Service is about. Room was clean and well maintained. Pools are good and staff at the pool bars were always prompt to help our request. Breakfast at La Alhambra restaurant was great with a lot of options to choose from. Other restaurants are a la carte but could have more options on the menú. We got the Platinum package but could not enjoy the amenities in full due to an illness of my partner.
Room service is 24/7 but the quality, variety and options on the menu are not even close on what you can find at the different restaurants.
No access to a beach was a big let down. The sea weed was extremely awful on the small sea areas by the Ventus Marina and El Cid. Ventus Ha does not have any beach or marina option. If beach is not a priority on your trip these hotels are a great option at a fair price.
I definitely will be back. Hopefully next time a better plan will allows to enjoy fully the amenities and different options offered by the Hotels.

Hotel appears new, the rooms were clean, comfortable, well maintained throughout the stay.
1. Unfortunately, guest experience fell short of expectations. The grounds & common areas did not seem to be well maintained - litter & trash visible around the property.
2.The hotel is part of a larger complex that shares restaurants, amenities, and activities with 2 neighboring sister properties. However, upon check-in, we did received NO information about how the resort operates. No one explained where amenities were located, which restaurants served breakfast or lunch, where the gym was, or what activities were available. We eventually had to request a map & a restaurant list ourselves - as it was hard to understand which direction to head
3.Be aware that there is an additional daily “state tax” fee charged by the hotel
4. The food - disappointment. Breakfast in particular was very limited & repetitive, often leftovers from the previous night’s dinner along with made-to-order eggs or omelets. Overall, dining experience was mediocre.
5.We booked for 8 guests, including children, and were given only two Wi-Fi codes per room, with no explanation that each code can be used on only one device for the entire stay. One of our rooms had 2 adults & 2 children, so we asked for 2 additional codes for the kids’ tablets, but were told it’s $60 for extra access. Considering that we paid for kids stay in full - this policy is unreasonable & unfriedly.

I have been traveling to Mexico for the last 30 years and mostly stay in all-inclusive. Resort is midrange. We went because we travelled with friends and they had a timeshare. There is no swimable beach and the beach has a very bad odor. Our friends had an ocean front room with a balcony but you could not go out there due to odor. Pools were good. There is a cliff jump off into the pool for the kids. Restaurants were all very good. Mostly USA tourists while i was there

Concierge is horrible! They don't want to
help at all and we tried before stay and during stay and they didn't seem bothered and just for tha reason I probably won't be booking here in the future. They said airport shuttle is available but when you called it was he said she said that I almost cancelled my whole trip due to the poor service from concierge. I go an en email from another concierge before my stay and she was way more helpful but calling them and speaking to them in person was a disaster because no one wanted to help. Housekeeping and people who brought our room service were wonderful. Better training needed for the concierge who just sat there, on our first day it was dead and concierge lady looked like she was bored and yet did not even want to help and the hotel needs to ensure all guests get to experience every restaurant instead of saying all booked.

This was my 2nd visit to this hotel and my 1st visit was absolutely amazing. I loved it so much I brought my family of 14ppl to enjoy a girls trip this past Memorial Day week. Unfortunately since it's low season only 2 restaurants are open at a time which means they cannot accommodate large groups. We struggled to get reservations every day and when we did it was always at 9pm. Which absolutely ruined the experience since the kitchens were closing by 10-10:30 so we were rushed every night to make our selections and rushed out. At one point, the concierge suggested they can accommodate by smaller groups in separate restaurants (so I guess we should have left half of our family members behind and eaten without them)

We have stayed at Ventus Ha in Puerto Morelos four years in a row because we truly love the service, food, amenities, and wonderful staff. Unfortunately, this year's experience was not up to the standard we have come to expect. Several restaurants and bars were closed during our stay, making the resort feel understaffed. The quality of the food and drinks also seemed to have declined compared to previous years, and restaurant reservations were very difficult to obtain.

That said, the staff remained amazing, friendly, and attentive as always. They continue to be one of the resort's greatest strengths. We still enjoyed our vacation, but we hope management addresses these issues and restores the level of experience that made us return year after year.

Okay stay. Our room smelled like sewer which meant opening the patio door to air it out a lot. The hammock on the patio was a nice touch. Loved the lay out of the resort. I got travellers sickness and spent 3 days in the room while my partner continued to enjoy the resort, which was a bummer. Food quality and sanitation efforts need to be improved for the wellbeing of their guests.

Our recent trip to Ventus Ha was incredibly special and memorable. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms and the entire property were spotless, the buffet food was excellent, and the nightly shows were fantastic. The pools were also very well-maintained. While the beach in front of the hotel had a bit of an odor and wasn't the most scenic due to the seaweed, we understand this is a regional issue and not specific to this hotel. Plus, there were so many other activities to enjoy that it didn't really bother us.

We would especially like to express our deepest gratitude to Grace, Rox, Andy, Nikki, and Xime at the kids' club. They took wonderful care of our children with so much heart and dedication during our 4-day stay.

Another great perk was that even though we stayed at Ventus Ha, we were able to fully access the facilities of the other two El Cid resorts. On the downside, it was a bit disappointing that the fire show was canceled on our third day, likely due to the rain, and making restaurant reservations was a bit challenging. However, the quality of the buffet was good enough to make up for it.

Overall, it offers excellent facilities and services for the price, and we would definitely recommend it to others!\"

Beautiful property overall, and most of the staff were polite and accommodating, but several operational issues impacted our stay.

We called weeks ahead requesting a higher-floor room with a view, yet were checked into a ground-floor handicap-accessible room and told nothing else was available. The next morning, after returning to reception at 7 AM, we were immediately offered other rooms, we paid for an upgraded fifth-floor room we were happy with. This was frustrating considering the resort was operating at low occupancy, roughly 40%.

Dining also felt limited for Memorial Day weekend. Restaurant reservations were only available very late, and several restaurants and bars appeared closed. We were especially disappointed that the Rüf rooftop bar in Building 28, heavily advertised online, had apparently been closed for weeks with no notice beforehand.

One of the resort’s biggest shortcomings is the lack of shaded seating. There were very few umbrellas around the beachfront pools, making it difficult to comfortably enjoy the ocean view unless sitting directly in the sun. The pools were nice, but the beach area itself was underwhelming.

Pool drink service from Jose, Rodrigo, and Angel was excellent. Unfortunately, we also experienced dismissive service from bartender Santi at Zanza Bar during multiple interactions.

Overall, the resort has potential, but management and operational consistency need improvement to match the expectations set by the pricing and advertising.

The Ventus Ha part of this El Cid complex is the newest and most chilled. There are 4 pools, 2 main pools and 2 rooftop infinity pools. The rooms are large and clean and housekeeping keep them that way. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I had the Platinum package, which comes with butlers to help you with reservations or whatever you want really. My butlers were Saul and You can eat in all of the restaurants across the El Cid complex, but my favourite was Aakat, the staff and food at this restaurant are the best! The Kobo is also good and you can ask for a vegetarian option here too. I also had lovely meals at Marina and Il de France. There are lots of activities such as, bike rides into town, aquafit, tai chi, spanish lessons, all free across the El Cid sites. Pool chairs were never an issue and bar service around the pool is okay. If I did have one area where I think they could improve, it would be the standard of the house wines. I was travelling by myself for this trip, so didn't want to buy a whole bottle for myself for the evening meal and had to stick to house wines. That said, staff aren't stingy with the wine and are always happy to top up if you like more than one glass with your meal. Ventus Ha is a great place to spend your vacation. I recommend it and will be coming again in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay.

It was our first time visiting Mexico, and we had an exceptional stay at Ventus Ha. The hospitality was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring throughout our stay.

The food selection across the property was very satisfying, with a great variety of options offered at multiple restaurants. The seafood restaurant was our favorite. We enjoyed it so much that we went there twice. Jazmine, in particular, was extremely kind and welcoming.

Ventus Ha truly has the best kids’ club. My children, ages 10 and 5, had an amazing time and loved the wide range of activities offered every single day. It was very clear that the team genuinely cared for the kids and put in tremendous effort. Roxy took especially great care of our children, and the entire kids’ club team was absolutely fantastic.

The rooms, pools, public restrooms, and overall property were spotless. Everything was sparkling clean and very well maintained. I would definitely return to Ventus Ha- we absolutely loved our stay.

We liked the ability to move around to the other 2 resorts as we stayed at Ventus Ha. We loved the service from the waiters/waitresses/servers. We loved the pool at the Ventus Ha better than the other properties, loved the rooftop bar/pool area, loved the restaurants.
We didn’t like the beach, perhaps the time of year, but not swimmable and totally opposite of what the video shows on your website. We also didn’t like the concierge service that was on duty when we checked in on Saturday night. We also didn’t like that the daily activities/events were only posted by the elevator, and never knew/saw it as we always took the stairs although we were staying on the 4th floor. So we missed quite a bit of that. Although the restaurant offerings were great the portion sizes were somewhat small (not referring to the buffet options)

We upgraded to a family suite, which was clean, nice, and conveniently located close to most amenities. Unfortunately, we were unable to book any of the specialty restaurants. We tried two lunch buffets: one was good and the other just okay. Food quality was inconsistent, with some items appearing pre‑cooked and reheated.
Service was mixed: some staff were friendly and helpful, while others seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. Alcohol options were mid‑tier at best, so if you have specific brand preferences, it’s worth checking ahead of time. The pools were nice, and the kids especially enjoyed the high jump and slide.
The beach and ocean were not usable during our stay due to heavy seaweed, and the smell from the rotting seaweed was unpleasant. At night, the outdoor air‑conditioning units produced noticeable fan noise, though it did not affect sleeping inside the room. The resort sprayed for mosquitoes, but bites still varied by person.
The resort uses room cards and towel cards and charges $40 for any lost towel card, which feels outdated but may help offset costs. Our biggest issue was with the resort credits. Our Expedia package included $300 per room, but we only received $450 total for two rooms instead of $600. After some pushback from the resort staff, we dropped the issue. We were only able to use $60 of the credits towards two massages and later heard Costco offers better resort credit packages.

Pros: cleanliness, lush green vegetation/property with beautiful walking paths, frequent golf cart transportation (but can be a wait sometimes), access to all 3 properties, the cenote/waterslide area for kids was great!
Cons: walking across road from Ha to Venus/Marina, staff not overly smily or happy to be there, theatre for shows is ghetto/indoors/small/packed full and never any seating, shows are not very good, beach is appalling, food was not in easy access and hard to come by compared to all the other resorts Ive been at, the buffets were tiny!!! Asian cuisine sign would have hot dogs and nuggets always :( limited rooms with ocean view (but even if u have ocean view you’ll be looking at murky brown water), a tiny beach (no use anyways)

The beach was no good! Stagnant water due to the blockades of geobags—many of them! The internet was terrible only 2 wifi connections allowed per room. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, clean, and feels very safe. The facilities are well maintained, and everything looks amazing.

However, the customer service for the rooms was very disappointing. Staff would knock on the door constantly without respect for privacy, which made it hard to relax.

The biggest issue was with the “unlimited restaurants.” During my 4-day stay, I tried to book more than 5 different restaurants, and none ever had availability. It felt like they were offering something that guests can’t actually use.

The noise level was also a problem—you can’t really sleep peacefully.

Room service was extremely slow. I had to call more than 5 times just to get blankets, and it still took hours for them to arrive.

In summary, while the hotel is clean and visually beautiful, the service and overall experience need serious improvement.

In our case, everything was already booked 4 days in advance, so we ended up eating dinner at the buffet for the rest of our stay. The line gets pretty long since the buffet area is small. Absolutely loved this resort! Very chic, staff are wonderful, exceptionally clean. So many pools and restaurants that you never get bored. Stay at one and use all three! We will be back! Don’t miss the rooftop pools for adults. Went during spring break and it felt very safe in all areas including the beach. No out of control 18 year olds like other resorts. I would recommend this resort for families as well as couples traveling that want to use the adults only areas for a break from families. Spa looked incredible and we enjoyed the 2 fitness centers every morning. If you don’t want to walk around, there are golf carts. Don’t miss the bike tour to town!

This visit was my third time staying at this hotel, and while I had previously enjoyed my stays, this time fell short. The issues began at check-in, particularly with room assignments. Another family who came with us was booked into a separate room in a different building from the kids, and despite our request, the hotel staff claimed they couldn’t accommodate them in the same building without an additional $300 fee. The manager’s response was unhelpful and rude. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was also problematic, with limited availability for reservations and long wait times for the buffet. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the dishes and glasses was subpar, and the beach was unappealing due to its condition. Overall, my experience was mediocre, and it seems the hotel has declined over the past three years.

When the amenities worked, they were great. Very disappointed that 3/4 shows scheduled were canceled. The hotel promoted that they’d have a show and then ended up canceling which was a bummer. We heard other guests who had been there longer said they also canceled on NYE. Beware that dinner reservations is also limited. Once we got over that hurdle, the resort was fine. Just not as smooth as other resorts in Cancun. Maybe because this is a small town they don’t have the resources. The bike tour was wonderful!

We stayed at the Ventus Ha resort for 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The food was really good but did not have a buffet available on resort, you only had the option of al a carte. If you wanted a buffet setting you had to go to one of the sister properties. The room service was a great option and was really pretty quick, plus food stayed hot. The room was good too. The beds were firm and it stayed cool with AC, plus had a ceiling fan. We did have to change rooms 3 days into our stay because the tiles in the shower fell off the wall while the maids were cleaning. This was inconvenient since it was our 2nd to last day and we really wanted to just enjoy the pool and not have to pack up our room to switch rooms. There is a lot to see and enjoy on the other resorts. The Ventus Ha didn't have any entertainment on property or things to do around the pool. It was definitely the quiet pool but you could always get seats there compared to the other resorts. Our son was on crutches when we showed up and Gonzo and Enrique really helped us out with golf cart shuttle to the other resorts. Plus Gonzo was great at helping with anything that we needed like more water/beer in our room or extra questions that came up. This resort is a great laid back resort with not much activity if that's what you are looking for. Otherwise staying at one of the other properties would be a better option. Oh and you can't see the beach or ocean from this resort so if you are into that be aware.

Clean room but the shower leaked all over the floor. Staff were lovely, pools were great however I feel like there was a lack of snack bars. It was quite the distance from the pool with the slide to get snacks at the coffee bar.

Large 3 resort property where you can freely use all areas. Great restaurants/buffets with lots of options and authentic mexican dishes. Staff is friendly and helpful, the spa was pricey but worth it. Rooms are modern, big and very clean with large decks. Due to the seaweed bloom the beach was just for looking at but there are so many pools it didnt matter. Perfect option if you just want to relax.

This is the best resort we have been to so far. We loved the food, the staff was friendly, and the facility was modern and spotless. The animals on the resort are a nice perk.
The only things we felt were missing was a couple of snack bars near the pools and for the towel counters to stay open a bit later (they close at 6:30 but the pools are open until 9:00).

I don't generally return to any place twice. This resort being the exception. Great food and variety of restaurants. Clean pools. Friendly staff. Excellent service in all areas. They even sorted out their wifi (if you've seen other reviews of that don't worry. It's all good now). Safe. Secure. Quick easy walk into town. Ventus Ha is a bit quieter. More adult focused. Never an issue finding space by the pools. Ventus Ha offers more shade options near pools. Reception and housekeeping are above average. I'll see you again soon.

Room was a wonderful size, staff is beyond friendly and caters to all your needs, resort is very clean and well maintained, so many different pools, activities for the whole family. Only downfall is the sargassum which affects the ocean and beach.

This place is very clean and nice! The staff were really helpful and friendly, though they could be a bit more accommodating when it comes to restaurant bookings. It’s quite difficult to reserve a table for dinner, and finding sunbeds isn’t easy either. The Wi-Fi isn’t the best .Only allows one access per person. Overall, we really liked the place, but maybe adding a few more staff would make the experience even better.

Ventus Ha at Marina was excellent. My husband and I traveled there with our two kids.

The room was great, having access to the entire resort was perfect. The kids loved the pool with the slide and rock jump. The food was decent overall, with the Mexican, Italian, and Mercato for lunch as our favorite option. The staff were all kind and friendly.

They clearly try to make the beach nice by cleaning seaweed every morning and barriers in the water, but we didn’t swim in the ocean. I knew that going into our trip so was not disappointed. Perfectly nice to sit on the lounge chairs provided and still have a beach experience.

We rented a car which made it easy to go into Porto Morelos and Tulum. Everything felt safe and comfortable.

Great people, stunning views but come prepared.

The staff ( butlers) and scenery absolutely deliver. The food overall was decent, though not a standout. Our room, unfortunately, sat right outside the show venue — so unless you enjoy falling asleep to a live soundtrack, don’t plan on turning in early… it’s basically a concert in your room.

The towel game is next-level competitive. If you’re not staking your claim by 7:00 a.m., be ready for a full-on lounge-chair showdown. It borders on absurd, with a few “owners” acting like they hold the deed to the pool or beach.

Kobe Restaurant was a major letdown — small portions, and in a truly impressive twist, they actually forgot to plate one of the meals… mine.I was going to have to wait 10 minutes to get mine, we walked. On the bright side, the lunch dining hall was consistently very good and saved the culinary score.

One major heads-up: watch the hotel’s “exchange rate” if you upgrade or make purchases on site. It’s… creative. You’re far better off bringing cash or paying in advance to avoid the surprise markup. They tell you the price in USD , then tell you they apply in pesos while not disclosing the additional 14% . It’s not about the dollar to peso conversion it about the additional.

Bottom line: Beautiful place, friendly vibe, but a few operational quirks that future guests should know going in.

Second visit to Ventus Ha and it continues to offer great value. We would definitely go back.
Staff, cleanliness, and beds were all excellent. Food ranged from very good to excellent. The buffet selection was good, though items were not always hot, which made it less appealing at times. It was sometimes difficult to get reservations at the à la carte restaurants, but once there, the meals were consistently excellent. Coffee at Aromas is wonderful, and the barista does a fantastic job.
The pools were very cold during the first week of our two-week stay, making the single heated pool quite busy. With so many pools on the property, adding a second heated option, (perhaps on a rooftop?) would be a welcome improvement. The evening entertainment is fun and the fire show was impressive.
We love the lush landscaping, walking paths(well lit at night), and the wildlife. The beach isn't much, but the grounds make up for it.
One disappointment was smoking in shared areas. Despite the nationwide smoking ban in place since 2023, a few people were smoking cigars and cigarettes in hot tubs, around pools (the family friendly spaces the law is ment to protect), and on balconies. It’s uncomfortable for guests to have to address this themselves. Clear communication at check-in, visible signage, and well-marked designated smoking areas would help. Despite a few bumps, we had a great time and would recommend it!
