We stayed at the Ventus Ha resort for 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The food was really good but did not have a buffet available on resort, you only had the option of al a carte. If you wanted a buffet setting you had to go to one of the sister properties. The room service was a great option and was really pretty quick, plus food stayed hot. The room was good too. The beds were firm and it stayed cool with AC, plus had a ceiling fan. We did have to change rooms 3 days into our stay because the tiles in the shower fell off the wall while the maids were cleaning. This was inconvenient since it was our 2nd to last day and we really wanted to just enjoy the pool and not have to pack up our room to switch rooms. There is a lot to see and enjoy on the other resorts. The Ventus Ha didn't have any entertainment on property or things to do around the pool. It was definitely the quiet pool but you could always get seats there compared to the other resorts. Our son was on crutches when we showed up and Gonzo and Enrique really helped us out with golf cart shuttle to the other resorts. Plus Gonzo was great at helping with anything that we needed like more water/beer in our room or extra questions that came up. This resort is a great laid back resort with not much activity if that's what you are looking for. Otherwise staying at one of the other properties would be a better option. Oh and you can't see the beach or ocean from this resort so if you are into that be aware.

Large 3 resort property where you can freely use all areas. Great restaurants/buffets with lots of options and authentic mexican dishes. Staff is friendly and helpful, the spa was pricey but worth it. Rooms are modern, big and very clean with large decks. Due to the seaweed bloom the beach was just for looking at but there are so many pools it didnt matter. Perfect option if you just want to relax.

This is the best resort we have been to so far. We loved the food, the staff was friendly, and the facility was modern and spotless. The animals on the resort are a nice perk.
The only things we felt were missing was a couple of snack bars near the pools and for the towel counters to stay open a bit later (they close at 6:30 but the pools are open until 9:00).

I don't generally return to any place twice. This resort being the exception. Great food and variety of restaurants. Clean pools. Friendly staff. Excellent service in all areas. They even sorted out their wifi (if you've seen other reviews of that don't worry. It's all good now). Safe. Secure. Quick easy walk into town. Ventus Ha is a bit quieter. More adult focused. Never an issue finding space by the pools. Ventus Ha offers more shade options near pools. Reception and housekeeping are above average. I'll see you again soon.

This place is very clean and nice! The staff were really helpful and friendly, though they could be a bit more accommodating when it comes to restaurant bookings. It’s quite difficult to reserve a table for dinner, and finding sunbeds isn’t easy either. The Wi-Fi isn’t the best .Only allows one access per person. Overall, we really liked the place, but maybe adding a few more staff would make the experience even better.

Ventus Ha at Marina was excellent. My husband and I traveled there with our two kids.

The room was great, having access to the entire resort was perfect. The kids loved the pool with the slide and rock jump. The food was decent overall, with the Mexican, Italian, and Mercato for lunch as our favorite option. The staff were all kind and friendly.

They clearly try to make the beach nice by cleaning seaweed every morning and barriers in the water, but we didn’t swim in the ocean. I knew that going into our trip so was not disappointed. Perfectly nice to sit on the lounge chairs provided and still have a beach experience.

We rented a car which made it easy to go into Porto Morelos and Tulum. Everything felt safe and comfortable.

The staff ( butlers) and scenery absolutely deliver. The food overall was decent, though not a standout. Our room, unfortunately, sat right outside the show venue — so unless you enjoy falling asleep to a live soundtrack, don’t plan on turning in early… it’s basically a concert in your room.

The towel game is next-level competitive. If you’re not staking your claim by 7:00 a.m., be ready for a full-on lounge-chair showdown. It borders on absurd, with a few “owners” acting like they hold the deed to the pool or beach.

Kobe Restaurant was a major letdown — small portions, and in a truly impressive twist, they actually forgot to plate one of the meals… mine.I was going to have to wait 10 minutes to get mine, we walked. On the bright side, the lunch dining hall was consistently very good and saved the culinary score.

One major heads-up: watch the hotel’s “exchange rate” if you upgrade or make purchases on site. It’s… creative. You’re far better off bringing cash or paying in advance to avoid the surprise markup. They tell you the price in USD , then tell you they apply in pesos while not disclosing the additional 14% . It’s not about the dollar to peso conversion it about the additional.

Bottom line: Beautiful place, friendly vibe, but a few operational quirks that future guests should know going in.

Second visit to Ventus Ha and it continues to offer great value. We would definitely go back.
Staff, cleanliness, and beds were all excellent. Food ranged from very good to excellent. The buffet selection was good, though items were not always hot, which made it less appealing at times. It was sometimes difficult to get reservations at the à la carte restaurants, but once there, the meals were consistently excellent. Coffee at Aromas is wonderful, and the barista does a fantastic job.
The pools were very cold during the first week of our two-week stay, making the single heated pool quite busy. With so many pools on the property, adding a second heated option, (perhaps on a rooftop?) would be a welcome improvement. The evening entertainment is fun and the fire show was impressive.
We love the lush landscaping, walking paths(well lit at night), and the wildlife. The beach isn't much, but the grounds make up for it.
One disappointment was smoking in shared areas. Despite the nationwide smoking ban in place since 2023, a few people were smoking cigars and cigarettes in hot tubs, around pools (the family friendly spaces the law is ment to protect), and on balconies. It’s uncomfortable for guests to have to address this themselves. Clear communication at check-in, visible signage, and well-marked designated smoking areas would help. Despite a few bumps, we had a great time and would recommend it!

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid was an overall good experience with clear strengths and some noticeable inconsistencies.

The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, and feels secure. Walking the property was enjoyable and relaxing. The housekeeping team was outstanding, some of the best I’ve experienced. Maintenance was also impressive; when we had ants near the breakfast table in our suite, someone arrived within minutes and fully resolved the issue quickly.

Many of the waiters were kind, respectful, and professional, and much of the staff was friendly. However, service overall felt hit or miss. The language barrier sometimes made communication difficult, and room service was inconsistent, with cold or incorrect orders. Buffet and restaurant food quality also varied.

The layout of the resort was confusing at first, WiFi was unreliable, and entertainment could be better scheduled and promoted.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness, security, and responsiveness. However, due to the inconsistencies, we would likely try a different resort next time and keep Ventus Ha as a backup option.

Please do not stay here you can not book at the restaurants and have to eat at a horrible buffet food is cold, pasta sauce is runny, meat is hard and chewy it’s so bad!!!! Staff is rude and poor management!!! I booked because price was lower than other hotels but definitely I would never book here again. The hotel is newer but the pools are not warm they are super cold and some are broken and closed!! I wouldn’t recommend!!! Puerto Morelos is beautiful but definitely choose a different hotel so you save your self a really bad taste!

I will start by saying that we stayed at the new hotel and it is nice, but it was really hard to get reservations for the restaurants. They have nine restaurants that you have to make reservation for and we stayed there for a week and we were only able to eat up at two of them the rest of the time we had to eat at the buffet which the food was horrible!!! Pools were closed and cold. Also some of the staff were super rude so decided to speak to the hotel manager and he said he new it was har to make reservations for the restaurants but they were almost at capacity and they were busy, I don’t think it was an excuse but I think he did. If you travel with kids keep in mind there is also a time were EVERYTHING IS CLOSED SO NO FOOD AT ALL it was horrible to get back tired from the beach and not have any restaurants open. I had also contacted the wedding planner for the hotel a couple weeks in advance because I was planning my wedding and the guy never emailed back I called multiple times and never got back to me I also brought this up to the manager and he said nothing after I showed him the emails at the end of the win so happy I did not booked my wedding there they are not attentive at all. Please think about booking the a stay here and DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! My family and I have stayed at many different resorts in Cancun and by far this one is the WORSE ONE HE HAVE EVER BEEN TO I know it sound like I’m dramatic but out experience was that bad. I hope my review helps

We had a wonderful experience at this old, inclusive hotel from the amenities in their room to the staff and the restaurants. The only thing I was disappointed is the beach location and wifi access. Beach in front of hotel has erosion barriers and rocks.
I would definitely stay here again if I didn’t care about getting out of the hotel to go to the beach, but with so many hotels available to choose from, I will try a different one next time.

There are positives along with negatives to this hotel. The building is fresh and new with its two sky lounges and two pools. This being said, it is VERY noisy. The building and rooms have very little sound proofing. You will hear just about everything your neighbours are doing. It is right next to a busy boulevard with construction down the road. You will be woken at 6:30 am by the sound of dump trucks going by. At night it’s the gas golf cart shuttles dropping people off until midnight. The food is very good… if you can get reservations. It took 6 visits to the consierge and a large tip to
get 4 reservations in the A La Cartes for a 7 nights stay. We waited upwards to an hour to get into the buffet. When we did get into the A La Cartes… they were half empty. The problem may be temporary as they looked understaffed.

Everything was perfect. This is a fantastic resort. The food was great and there was a lot of variety. I don’t eat meat, just seafood and I felt like there was enough for me. I’m the type of traveler that will look at countless resorts and reviews to figure out where to stay. It took me a while to land on this resort, but I’m glad I did. A few things to know: there’s 3 resorts all in like 5-10 min walking distance but like a 2 min golf cart ride. You have access to all 3, it feels like they’re all one big resort anyways. I picked this resort, Ventus Ha instead of the other two which is called Ventus and the other one Marina/ el cid because of the price. The names all sound similar but this one is Ventus Ha. There’s hammocks in every balcony and around the pool area which is such a fun touch. It has a rooftop pool adults only on the seventh floor with hammocks, beds, chairs and a bar. There’s a big pool also on the ground floor and jacuzzi plus a bar. There’s a hibachi restaurant called KOBO which is freaking amazing. It was so good. The other restaurant has breakfast lunch and dinner which was also yum. You have access to the other 2 hotels as well. If you want to go use their pool, or the beach or restaurants etc you can go to the lobby outside and ask for someone to take you w a golf cart. There’s always drivers in golf carts dropping people off all the time. Everyone is so nice. There’s free 24hr room service. You have to reserve restaurant for dinner in advance!

The property was beautiful. The beach front as expected from photos. They are constantly up keeping the property and its shows. The food was 3 stars. It was just ok. Some great meals and some that wouldn’t be the best. There are 3 different sister resorts as apart of this one. All 3 resorts are battling for dinner restaurant reservations. Because of this we only got to eat at 3 different restaurants, the rest were buffet dinners. Service is great, pools are clean, lots of wild animals. We enough the wildlife. It is a big property but they do have golf carts to transport.

I didn't like the fact that we only had wifi for 2 phones You have to pay extra for other lines. In this day and age I think it's ridiculous. The cocktails in our lobby were fantastic. The bartender Jose was fabulous. If this hotel had a decent beach I would have rated it a 5star, but unfortunately the beach is really bad. Almost non existant.

Excellent stay. We were here for 3 nights in January 2026 as a family of 4. The entire resort is spotless, the room was very nice. Food was excellent and every staff member we dealt with was friendly and helpful. All frontline staff spoke excellent English, I didn't even need my terrible Spanish. As other reviews mention the beach isn't great with all the seaweed, but it is still nice for a walk or to relax on a beach chair. My only real complaint was that we were unable to get into any of the speciality restaurants despite trying several times. I have run into this problem at other resorts though so it is by no means unexpected. All in all we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Overall we had a very nice time. The food was incredible and the ambiance at Ventus Ha was amazing and peaceful. We couldn’t believe how more adults didn’t take advantage of the rooftop bars- they were incredible!

The beach is awful, but we knew that coming in. I could have gotten over this due to the amazing restaurants and Ventus Ha experience, but we will not book here again due to these issues:

1) upon arrival they had my children listed as “infants” even though my Expedia receipt said they were “children”. Because my receipt did not list the explicit ages, the hotel charged us an additional $1,700 for a 5 night stay because they were “children” instead of “infants”. It was during a holiday and they were unwilling to negotiate with this exorbitant price tag.

2) The other major con is the seat reserving chess game at all the pools other than Ventus Ha. All the chairs would have a towel or a shoe indicating the chair was in use. We never saw these people come back. I don’t have any patience for this type of game while on vacation.

If it wasn’t for our Ventus Ha haven, this would have been a mediocre experience for us, especially due to the check-in fiasco.

Our family group of 9 had an absolutely wonderful time here. The rooms were amazing, we liked the hammocks, pool, and staff. The rooms were very clean, and our butlers (Indi, Saul, and Sebastian) were fantastic. We especially appreciate the onsite 24 hour doctor: my daughter got an ear infection and it was so convenient and nice to get her treated at the hotel.

Pretty sure all the 5 star reviews are paid for, or bots.
We didn't even stay long enough to fund out about their food after both of the 'premium' suites we booked had black mold. They offered to move us after seeing the mold, apparently for the first time. The next room they offered us was just as bad.
We booked at another resort and took 2 ubers to move our family of 8. Now we have to see if we can get reimbursed.
I'd highly recommend finding a different resort before spending any money here.

The property was excellent, however for an all inclusive resort we found we were unable to have evening access to the restaurants. We were told that all restaurants were completely booked for our stay and the concierge seemed to be unwilling to assist or explain. There was not any communication prior to our arrival about the need to make evening reservations or how to do that. Buffet option only for evening meals is not all inclusive level. Very disappointing.

Horrible food and communication. We were there for 4 nights and werent able to get one dinner reservation and had to either oder room service or the buffet restaurant with cold food. My husband and I vegetarians and their veggie “burger” literally steamed stir fry vegetables in a bun. And the sandwich was lettuce and tomatoes in bread. Gross. The resort seemed extra busy over the holiday and the resort workers seemed unhappy and very unhelpful which tells me the management is the problem. We’ve been to several other resorts in the area in the same price range and had great service and much better food. The newer side of the resort is beautifuly decorated and the rooftop pools were great. But there wasn’t enough signage or maps to figure out the other places in the sister resorts. Very confusing and when we’d ask the staff directions they’d just say “it’s to the right” and weren’t helpful.

Wonderful resort with multiple pools , many restaurants/ food buffets , great coffee/ snack place that’s open all the time. Service and staff were excellent and so nice and helpful . Very clean . Not much beach but few great ocean front infinite pools to choose from.

The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The butler was useless, literally did nothing for us and had an excuse for everuthing.
This is mainly on the resort for assigning him to us when we checked in on Sunday, and apparently his day off was Monday. So we ran into him Tuesday late afternoon. We had booked all of the dinner resos we could at that point, however, we were left SOL on a couple of nights because he wasnt there to greet us on check-in. We upgraded to Platinum Club - when all was said and done I really dont know the benefit other than it being a bigger room. Also we were told check-in was 3pm, when our room wasn't ready it suddenly became \"between 3-5pm\".Good access to multiple pools between the 3 resorts. Beach is terrible because of a hurricane that hit a few years ago- their website not updated to show this. If youre looking for nice beaches and water look elsewhere.

Le resort et la chambre sont très propres et il y a de belles piscines, mais notre déception vient du fait que dès notre arrivée nous n’avons pas pu réserver des restaurants, car ils étaient déjà plein pour tout notre séjour. Le resort devrait garder des places pour les arrivants. De plus, nous n’avons jamais pu parler au concierge qui n’était pas présent lorsque nous passions au comptoir et quand j’ai posé une question à une responsable des activités au sujet de Tulum, elle m’a répondu d’aller voir sur le site web. Le wifi n’est pas super! La nourriture est très bonne, mais il est impossible de nager agréablement dans la mer dû aux brises vagues et aux algues. Enfin, le personnel est très gentil et serviable.

We had a wonderful stay. Rooms were very clean, stocked regularly and service was remarkable. We were there for a week and loved it. My husband and daughter enjoyed the bike tour. My only negative was the resort ran out of mango on our first day and it remained unavailable for our whole trip. It’s silly but I had a 12 year old who spent months looking forward to mango drinks

We stayed as a family of four (2 parents and 2 kids ages 10 & 12) in one room with 2 doubles and a murphy bed for 7 nights.

Pros:
- Stunningly beautiful property. Felt like we were in a landscaped jungle!
- Great front desk staff.
- Immaculately clean resort, including rooms, restrooms, dining areas, etc.
- Pool not crowded whatsoever, and we could always get loungers by the pool.
- Floors 3 and up have a pool view.
- A'akat's a la cart fish tacos are absolutely delicious!
- Breakfast buffet was always tasty.
- Golf carts available to transport to sister properties.
- Kobo dinner was yummy and entertaining.

Cons:
- Staff friendliness was hit and miss.
- Poor poolside service. Oftentimes there was none at all.
- They played the exact same music playlist at the pool every day. Would have been nice if they switched it up.
- No lunch or dinner buffet available, only breakfast.
- Rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear the people above, beside and outside of your room.
- Rooms are very dark.
- Sinks are not inside the bathroom, but rather next to the sleeping area.
- Room service takes a long time.

The Ventus Ha is the newer of the three El Cid resorts at this location. The Ventus Ha decor is modern and the hotel has a nice laid back vibe. The music at the pools was relaxing and the service was very good. We loved the restaurant on the property for breakfast and lunch; there's a deck in back where you can sit and often see crocodiles. We sat outside because the inside of the restaurants at Ventus Ha were kept quite cold. I also liked being able to go to one of the many pools, bars, and restaurants and the other two sister resorts across the road.

Room was good. Staff very courteous but Hotel charged way more than the Expedia stated. There was over 800.00 in extra fees. When booking with Expedia we booked Ha and changed to Marina. They told us same price but once checking in they charged way more plus 26.00 per day for 12 year old when booking that recently turned 13

Beautiful and spotless place. Large rooms with a fridge packed with drinks, staff was very efficient, friendly and the amenities throughout the resort are fabulous. The food was amazing, lots of vegan, vegetarian options , lots of activities so overall we loved our stay and highly recommend.
