It’s the second time we stay at this location and its renovation definitely made it prettier and better. They definitely have some of the friendliest staff we’ve encountered at any of our travels: special mention to Pascual at the morning buffet and Abishair at the pool area. Everything is close by, yet very private at the same time, and there’s always enough space to wind down or have a rowdy time for everyone. Can’t wait to go back to this location.

Beautiful resort, great mix of party and relaxation. You can see the effort they put into the entertainment and events for the guests. The food is good, lots of options (not life changing tho) - Hibachi experience is worth it. As for the staff, everyone (and I mean everyone) was great, special shout out to ROGER! He was on top of everything and made our experience even better.

The view was amazing. The room was very clean. Great food and drinks. The night life was very fun. There needs to be more pool chairs. We had to get to the pool around 6:30 in the morning to get a pool lounger for the day. The lounger tables were dirty most days and some of the umbrellas need to be repaired. Other than those few things, we really enjoyed our time. We would most likely stay again.

I booked swim out, oceanfront room that‘s 2X more than the standard room. The room I was in was at the very end of the resort, oceanview was blocked by huge plants in front of the room.

The building (building 7) was doing some maintenance/renovation work, and i was bothered by constant noise from the work, my room was smelling like paint and no apologies from the hotel at all.

I’ve sent 4 e-mails to the hotel explaining the situation and no replies at all.

Breathless is breathtaking! Butlers Esteohania and Gamboa were beyond accommodating and always available with any questions we had. They made our honeymoon/anniversary so very special. ❤️ The pool staff at the Xhale Pool were amazing. Fun atmosphere with games, music, activities … no boredom! We were served amazing drinks by Edwin and Roger, and the Cabana guys were so great. Victor (thank you thank you we will miss you!) had our cabana bed always ready for us with a smile and Vicente made us feel welcome. All the guys were funny and friendly.

Above all, were were extremely thankful for the doctor in house, Sergio. Saved our trip! Can’t say enough.

We will absolutely return to this resort. It’s laid back when you want it to be, a pretty good party bar, and the foooood was incredible. Entertainment was unique each night. A fair value for the money. Extra points for a swim out river off the patio, room cleanliness, and just all around fun and hospitable environment. Loved the raccoons, iguanas, and birds just beautiful! ☀️🫶🏻

The resort was great, clean, small enough to get around easily, but spaced out enough to give it a larger resort feel. All the restaurants are located centrally which is very nice. Drinks were delicious and delivered with good service. All the staff were very friendly at all times. Our room was nice, comfortable and private. We wish the swim up suite water would have been more like a hot tub, we would have used it more.
The only negative about the whole experience was not really a resort problem. Every night we experienced very loud guests banging on doors and screaming in the hallways. At midnight, 1am, 3am, 4am. It did seem to be “taken care of” fairly quickly but went on long enough to make us wide awake. Night noise was our only complaint.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this resort. The online ratings are very misleading and did not reflect the reality of our experience.

From the moment we arrived, we encountered multiple issues. There was no hot water in our room for the entire trip, forcing us to take cold showers. The HVAC system also did not work. Although maintenance came and claimed it was fixed, it never worked properly, and we had to sleep in uncomfortable, cold conditions.

The swim-up pool was dirty, which was very disappointing given the cost of the stay. Additionally, my card was double charged. Even after it was proven to be a duplicate charge, the resort has refused to issue a refund, which is completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, some staff members displayed behavior that felt discriminatory and unwelcoming. The overall customer service did not meet basic hospitality standards.

The food overall was not good, with the exception of the hibachi restaurant, which was the only enjoyable dining experience.

This resort is absolutely not worth the money. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa with two friends. While we were looking forward to an enjoyable all-inclusive experience, our stay was unfortunately impacted by significant health concerns and an unsatisfactory response from management.

During our visit, two out of the three guests in our group became seriously ill after dining at the resort’s Mexican restaurant. Symptoms included vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, chills, and abdominal pain. The illness was severe enough to disrupt our vacation and required extended time resting in our rooms.

Equally concerning was the way the situation was handled by resort management. When we attempted to file a formal complaint, managers were uncooperative and hesitant to provide the appropriate complaint forms. The lack of transparency and professionalism during this process was disappointing and did not reflect the level of guest care expected from a resort of this caliber.

Food safety and responsive guest service are fundamental expectations, particularly at an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. Unfortunately, due to the health risks experienced and the way our concerns were addressed, I cannot confidently recommend this property.

Future guests may wish to exercise caution when dining on-site.

Breathless Riviera Cancun absolutely lives up to its name. The energy is vibrant, the design is chic, and everything feels intentionally elevated without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where relaxation and fun coexist beautifully ~ loungy mornings, glamorous pool afternoons, and nights that hum with just the right amount of excitement.

What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the service.

Edwin at the bar is pure gold. His drinks were flawless every time, but even more than that, his warmth and charisma made each stop feel special. The kind of bartender who remembers you, anticipates what you want, and makes the experience feel effortlessly luxe.

Poolside, Vincent and Viktor were exceptional. Attentive, polished, and perfectly tuned into guest comfort, they made the day feel seamless ~ towels, drinks, check-ins, all handled with ease and genuine kindness. They struck that rare balance of being present without ever hovering, which is the hallmark of true luxury service.

Breathless Riviera Cancun nails the vibe: stylish, social, indulgent, and incredibly well run. It’s a place where you feel taken care of without being managed ~ and that’s a hard thing to get right. We left already planning our return.

The resort as a whole is pretty run down. All the shows got cancelled except the magic show (?). Food was meh and there was no dinner buffet so if you couldn’t get into a restaurant (no reservations) you had to wait 1+ hrs to eat. The water smelled really bad, the rooms electricity was odd, the lights would just turn on and off randomly. The staff wasn’t very friendly (those who were were amazing) but generally felt like a nuisance. Not worth the price we paid unfortunately.

After a horrible start to our 30th wedding anniversary vacation, and arriving a day late. We were greeted with nothing but superb hospitality. Everyone was friendly and courteous, and willing to help in any way possible. The property was immaculate the room and view was great. We would like to thank Nayade who is as beautiful as she is sweet for making our check in as speedy and thurough as possible, also Luis who oversees The Strip Grill Steak Restaurant and Sonya who works at the poolside grill. Overall every staff member we came in contact with was extremely professional. FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!!!! We definitely will be going back!!

Breathless doesn't have the best beach but it is a fun resort if that is what you are looking for. It is lively, so if you are looking for quiet maybe this isn't the place. Food is good 👍 We found their beef kinda tough but everything else was quite good! Entertainment is good. We were hooping for more karaoke because last year they had it 3 times a week and it was really fun! The staff are very attentive. A big shout out to Aaron handling the towels and pool area. Great guy, personable and very helpful! Thank you!

The bar closed at 11pm all bars . Pretty indecent for an all inclusive experience. Had more fun off the resort than on the resort. There are activities but make sure you download the bogus app that never allows you to reserve( always sold out) . The resort is super small , paid for the Xhale Club and didn’t receive much additional anything. Waste of money for the xhale club for the amount we paid I would have expected more exclusive benefits. All the restaurants have long wait times and the only option for reservation is the Hibachi (best food option there). Their hosting staff always quotes wrong wait times and there’s absolutely no way for them to track who came first. No first come first serve ( bunch of nonsense). For the amount of money we spent you would think the resort would invest in their amenities , restaurants, and activities. Compared to other resorts I’m highly disappointed. The best part of the room was the shower. Paid for an ocean view and could only see the main lobby of the resort. Do better .

This place is amazing. Rooms are updated and beautiful with the views they say you get! Service is the best I have seen at an all inclusive and we have been to over 30 different ones. This place is not for a quiet get away but a fun party atmosphere with stunning views and facilities. We loved it had such variety but was still a pretty small intimate resort. Staff are off the charts, no excuses just service!

This property is definitely good if you need to get away and relax without a big turn up . Restaurant and pools were good . The only thing I did not like about the resort was I like Cadillac Margaritas but the resort had no Grand Marnier . The resort Beach is horrible I mean it’s no way you can get into that beach water it was real dirty . I had to go 30 minutes away to get some real nice beach water ( the hotel zone has great water in Cancun ) . Also the hotel is connected to the secrets they could come to our side of the resort but we could not go their side . So all in all if the beach water was clear and blue this would be the perfect peaceful vacation for the price that they are charging .

The room had many items with issues (non-working). The food was very mediocre; and there were issues with contamination for gluten. We paid extra to upgrade to the Xhale level, which clearly advertises quieter, more relaxed atmospheres. This absolutely was not the case. The pools were extremely loud with music. The dance floor was located right outside the rooms and went late into the night. We spoke to many couples who also experienced this same issue and were also extremely disappointed by these things.

The receptionist did not give clear instructions about the how many restaurants are there. What services are included and what are not. Special occasions like New Year’s Eve we need to make reservations a day before in order to eat at French Cuisines, Mexican restaurants are closed on that day and no food services would be available. None of those information ere given. Instead, he only wanted to sell us more visits for future trips before we hadn’t started our very first experience in there. In general the service is good and the employees are nice.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The resort emailed me in advance to say the air conditioning in my room was not working, and it was never properly resolved, making the room uncomfortable. There’s also wasn’t any attempt to switch my room. I was told that there were no other rooms available. Very had to believe that rooms are at capacity during my entire stay.

Housekeeping also threw away my dental retainers, which is a costly and serious mistake. No one took accountability or offered a real solution, despite the long-term impact this will have on my dental care.

There was also an incident with another family that made me feel unsafe. While guest behavior isn’t fully within the hotel’s control, it reflects the overall environment.

Overall, poor handling of issues, lack of accountability, and an uncomfortable stay. I would not return.

Perfect stay in Mexico. On arrival, the customer service is great. Very straightforward and professional. The hotel grounds are immaculate. The pool is beautiful. There are two different pools to choose from there was a nice pool party on one side and the other side was relaxing. The room was gorgeous, modern, well equipped, and the shower was immense. The food was surprisingly good, from the regular buffet to the restaurants there’s a lot to choose from and it’s actually quality food. The only downside is that the beach and ocean itself is not that pretty but there were people swimming. The beach was very relaxing tho. There are many beach chairs and shaded cabanas. Overall, this was a great stay and I would definitely come back here again for a vacation.

Definitely stay here...Awesome room, fun staff. Nice pools, fun things to do. Most of the food was excellent, a few dishes were hit or miss or took a little too long but above all it was super great food and service all around. Would love to see some solid guest DJs in their dance party room upstairs or have their nighttime DJ stick to the fun sexy bassy dance music- let a song play out for a bit as it was rapidly changing and genre hopping a little too hard, like even the old folks wanted to bump and grind a bit more so let those tunes play out- still fun don't get me wrong there though, lots of options, swim up room was the way to go for sure, don't get hooked in to a time share type of deal when you arrive unless you've got hours to waste at another resort or actually want to do that- really you're likely better off just paying for an upgraded experience if you wanna do something extra.. and all the extras are awesome ..The spa experience was awesome and made for an epic birthday. Would definitely stay here again. Mid November was a great time to go as it was busy but not crazy packed. It was 86 f all day and 76 all night. Pretty dang Perfect with just a few things to fine tune.

Great resort. From check in to check out the staff was amazing and friendly. Restaurants and entertainment were great. Roger and Edwin at the Xhale pool were always making sure you were taken care of

Its very beautiful. Every staff member was friendly and helpful It was always clean.The guests had such a variety old and young, every race and different countries. Room was very clean and stocked well. Motion lights were diff n that was very unique. a lot of food options that werent too far apart. entertainment was decent. would grade the activities and entertainment a B-.
room wasn't ready until a hour after check in. Im handicap and they put us in one of the furthest buildings. Everything was way too far so the majority of the time I was exhausted feet swollen.
The food unfortunately was maybe a C. bc sometimes the meat was tasty but the sides weren't Room service is a F. They ask about allergies. I tell them ketchup. Each time they bring it. I say no tomatoes. Each time its on there. The food was never warm at minimum. Always freezing cold. The desserts were so hard I tried to cut it and woke my husband with the noise Each restaurant I ordered dessert and never got it. The last day I asked for my dessert first and of course it wasn't edible sadly.
Mens dress code made no sense! The restaurant over the pool was so informal bw the people in the pool and the bar next door but we had to walk all the way back to the room for him to change clothes. I cant imagine in the summer months how uncomfortable it is for men to be fully clothed in that heat.

The beach front was unobstructed, but it’s not a property to go to if you want to swim in the ocean or wade in the water.

Overall is good stay. Beach service is good, but water is not the best, rocks and seaweed aren't avoidable. But I still was able to enjoy it. Pools serm to be nice. I just don't use pools, so forsomeone who only cares about the beach, this hotel not the best.
Entertainment is good at this hotel, it is lively.
Checkin took some time and should have been quicker, dining is ok, but not too many options and good restaurant either can't be reserved or way too busy to becserved. I waited for iver an hour for dinner and just left after that long wait, very bad service at the Strip restaurant.
Only for small area desiganted for smokers, and most of the time is very crowded, it should be more areas made for people who want to smoke a cig. or a cigar.
Overall this is an Ok, 4 atar hotel.

Room was okay. Controls for the fan did not work and AC controls really did not work during the day but turned on at night. Toilet button was also very hard to flush. I scraped my knuckles trying to flush the toilet every time.
