We had excellent service from the butler service, the bartenders and entertainment staff! The entertainment was better than any other place we have stayed.

The pools and giant hot tub were wonderful!

There was room for improvement on cleanliness and the beach was not the same as in Cancun.

Overall, it was a great stay!

My daughter was celebrating her 30th birthday. The manager at the hibachi place told us our party of 7 could come then when we got there he act as if he had never spoken with my daughter and was rather rude. Then speaking with another manager they apologized and advised us that they will make up for that. They said the next day they would escort us to the secrets resort for an amazing birthday dinner. Only for us to be waiting where they told us the next day but that manager was off. We was escorted by someone else that did not know any of the details from the prior manager. It was made like there would be some special accommodations for her table maybe look decorative or nice set up. The table was normal setting nothing over the top per our prior issues the night before. The food the entire trip was just not good. I was so excited for this trip but it really wasn’t the best trip at all and that was very disappointing. Some of the staff was great but then there were some that was definitely rude. The club closed early. It wasn’t a lot of music events. The bars also closed early. For this to have been a adult resort, I expected more.

We enjoyed our stay over all but a few things to note that might help future travelers.

There is loud techno-esque music (themed each night) played until 11ish and louder visitors that party on past that. Totally fine if that’s what you’re into! We wished we would’ve known and stayed on the secrets side and used the breathless pools. We slept like garbage so definitely bring ear plugs, or if you’re the party type, this will be your jam!

Additionally, we upgraded when we checked in to a swim out but received basically no information on what that included or how to find anything at the resort. No information on restaurants, pools, activities, etc. We did some thorough googling in the room which was irritating but we found the app which helped a ton (hilton inclusive). We also learned late that our upgrade would’ve gotten us into other spaces but we didn’t know that.

The staff over all were great. They were so kind and ready to help whenever needed!

Food was fine. If you’re going to an all inclusive for quality dining, you’re probably doing it wrong. They were great at asking about food allergies and making accommodations but if you’re gluten free, vegetarian or vegan you will really struggle here. (Stayed at secrets Moxche a couple years ago and they had good vegan options).

Pools were fun. We stayed at the energy pool more than the party pool. Both you’d want to claim seats early (by 8am).

This place isn't at all like the pictures. It is outdated . Pool is patch cushions and chairs are faded, or torn. Pools are murkey and dirty. On 3 antibiotics after swimming in them. The food was only good in the French place , Steak place in the evening time and pizza by the ocean. Asian place was okay. Some of the best food was the room service. Pools had hair floating in there. Party pool was playing nasty/dirty music Saturday and sunday . Beach is pretty much nothing there. Don't bother booking Bali beds through the Spa. They lost our reservation and nothing was ready and the bed we picked out was given to someone else. Even though we were assured it would be ready at 11am. Club lounge js pretty much usless and out of the way. We had a swimout room with ripped chair and rugs and looked like mold on one og the pillows and floor. Fot extremely sick from the mold in the room. Still recovering days after our trip. Mexican restaurant was the worst. Both of us threw up after eating there. We still have extrem stomach problems after visiting this place. The only good thing was Daniel and 1 other bartender working week of 61 to 6/4 at the club pool and Romeo. Im shocked this place is a 4 diamond resort.

The food there isn’t great. Two of the restaurants were just ok. The drinks were gross. It gave me a headache. I was scolded by an employee named Vicente at the pool for having my dog on a stroller there. While checking in, they said I could. Vicente had an attitude and was very rude. They says dog friendly but it really wasn’t. We booked a swim out beach front and the water in our pool wasn’t that clean. I see them cleaning the ones near the pool more.i regret staying here.

Buffet did not have as many selections as compared to RUI but all in all it was still decent, no need to complain about weather or seaweed on the beach as Ive seen some do because guess what, the resort doesn’t control the rain or the tides😂 All in all I would go back.

I have stayed at this resort 4-5 times now. This time I felt the resort was not as clean as it should be. Especially the pools. I had a swim up room and I don’t think they once cleaned the pool or cleaned the trash off the sitting area. The food and beverages were ok. I would have to say everything was just ok, not impressive like I would expect for the $$. I didn’t complain to them though. I probably should have.

I want to preface this by saying the only reason I stayed at this resort was for a wedding.

This was my 10th trip to Cancun, & by far the worst resort experience I’ve had. The breakfast buffet & poolside food lacked variety & quality. Brick oven pizza was great. Some specialty restaurants were decent, especially the Asian & Italian spots, but room service was terrible. I ordered nachos without cheese or sour cream due to allergies, plus a hot dog. After waiting nearly an hour, I received chips covered in cheese and sour cream & a hot dog on a stale bun. The replacement order never arrived.

The bars constantly ran out of items — beer, vodka, even straws for frozen drinks. The liquor selection was also disappointing, with little beyond Tito’s & Captain Morgan.

Cleanliness was another issue. Food was often left sitting around the resort, floors were dirty, & the pool had visible buildup in the corners. In our room, decorative pillows had stains, the shower drain was left open, & the toilet barely flushed.

Our “ocean front” room was next to the party pool, where music was so loud it sounded like the patio door was open at all hours. All the day activities revolved around shaking your ass.

The beach photos are misleading since there is barely any actual beach. The seawalls were covered in overgrowth, seaweed and bird droppings and smelled awful.

The only positive part of the trip was the wedding itself, mainly because it was hosted at Secrets, the sister resort.

Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our stay.

To start, we booked the room for double occupancy through Hotels.com, and Even had several exchanges with the property in the weeks leading up to our stay indicating that there would be two of us. When we arrived, we were informed that the stay was only booked for one person and that we had to pay an additional $1000 to have my friend there. Obviously this was extremely disappointing and we paid over $3300 for a five day stay which is way more than anything listed online, even including the second person. We even looked online during check-in and for two people, it was only listed as $1943 for the same dates.

The food was awful, our air-conditioning in the room was broken & the room was hot and humid and made our clothes smell like mold. Our shower amenities were never filled. One night, there was even a RACCOON in our room! Another night, we had phone calls from the front desk at 1:46AM. Our neighbors were so loud & we were never informed that there were certain pools and restaurants that we were not allowed to attend based off of the room we booked.

We contacted Hotels.com about our stay and they said that the property would refund us the $1000, and we have yet to be refunded.

I would like to add that the entire wait staff is absolutely incredible and amazing, and that was the only positive part of our stay.

Really disappointed in the booking staff, and would like to be contacted immediately about our refund.!!

Just got back from a week at Breathless Riviera Cancun and honestly… this trip was exactly what I needed.

The resort itself was beautiful. Great pools, solid food, clean rooms, fun nightlife, and the entire property had a really relaxing energy. The Xhale Club upgrade was worth it in my opinion quieter areas, better views, and overall a more premium experience. Huge shoutout to Julio at the front desk for helping me switch rooms and making the stay even better.

One thing I appreciated most was the balance. You can party if you want, but you can also slow down, relax by the ocean, grab coffee in the morning, and just enjoy being present. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and welcoming the entire trip.

This trip honestly reminded me what freedom and peace are supposed to feel like. I came home feeling refreshed, inspired, and already thinking about coming back.

If you’re looking for a beautiful adults-only resort near Cancun with a fun atmosphere and great vibes, I’d definitely recommend Breathless Riviera Cancun.

Cant say enough about Breathless. All three couples struggled to find any problems at all.

Rooms were clean and well attended; staff consistently asked if we needed anything and were always smiling.

Events and entertainment were well attended....many activities and shows to attend.

At least six different restaurants to choose from and all meals were execellent.

The only thing we would have changed was the DJ music at both pools; WAY to clubby and loud with no one dancing except the paid staff. DJ did not read the crowd and it made socializing sometimes a chore. Even the 'quiet' pool had pounding dance music starting around lunchtime....not necessary.

Disgusting experience at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa.

My Rolex was stolen from my room after housekeeping entered my room. I took it off before going to the pool around 11:00 AM, placed it inside my zipped jewelry bag, and returned around 2:30 PM to find it missing. My room had been cleaned during that exact time frame.

I reported it immediately, and instead of acting with urgency or concern, management gave excuses, offered zero solutions, and treated me like the problem. They hid behind “protocol” and implied that because it was not in the safe, somehow theft from my room is acceptable.

Manager George was especially disgraceful—he offered no help, no accountability, then walked away and refused to speak with me while I was dealing with a serious theft.

This resort clearly cares more about protecting staff and avoiding responsibility than protecting paying guests. If something valuable is stolen from your room, don’t expect honesty, urgency, or competent management.

A luxury resort with bargain-basement security and even worse leadership. Stay elsewhere.

overall an amazing resort! the staff were so friendly and the bar tensors made sure you always had a great day at the pools! the housekeeping was amazing and always made the room look clean and fresh. the food was okay at the restraints but the burger at the pool grill on the xcelerate side was TO DIE FOR! the only issue i had was the entitled personalities of some of the people that were guests there. on the xhale side of the hotel people were very rude about saving seats over night and for hours on end without them showing up until late morning or even late afternoon. Some thing could have been done on the staff’s end as they could have removed towels that were there with no personal item for over an hour without people at the chairs. there were also Mexican vendors there in the middle of the resort that i thought we would have stayed away from by not traveling down to other parts of cancun as i felt very pressured and uncomfortable walking through the resort that night since they always pulled you in to look at their carts. other than that no complaints! :)

We loved Breathless. Ate at all the specialty restaurants and enjoyed the food. We skipped the buffet for lunch/dinner per others recommendations and did the à la carte style options instead. Breakfast buffet was good though— smoothie station, omelets/breakfast sandwiches to order. Diego did a couples photo shoot for us and was wonderful. We did Jesus’s guacamole class and a water aerobics (can’t remember the instructor) that were fun! The shows were great, we went to Couples Challenge and Queen in the Show Stopper and saw Asado by the pool. Silent disco really gets people up dancing and was more fun than expected! We also did casino night and had fun. Loved the endless options of entertainment! Visited the spa for massage with Raquel and hydrospa, worth a visit! Beach was pretty some days and not others but pool was always fun. Only thing we didn’t love was we booked ocean view and could not see the ocean from our excelerate room 6305.

I went to Breathless Riviera Cancun to celebrate my birthday, and I will be back.

Pros: Smooth and quick check-in (We were Xhale Club). Steakhouse (The Strip), Asian (The Silk), and Spoons (Buffet) were the restaurants that we frequently ate at. Pools were amazing. Swim up bar was great. Strong drinks upon request. Staff members: Roger, Alexander, Abi, Rosi, Sonia, Manuel (Spoons), Edwin, and Anahi all treated us with respect. They were super friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home, as they greeted us by name on a daily basis!! Kudos to them!

Cons: Upon check-in, he tried to tell us that our assigned room was the upgrade; however, it is what I paid for. He then upgraded us to the correct room after I said that it was not the upgraded room. I went to order drinks and the bartender (Daniel) did not serve me. He then went on to ask other ladies what they wanted, as they were not ready; they were still deciding. He then went to make drinks for servers that came AFTER me. Mind you, he knew I was there and waiting. After about 8-10 mins, I decided to go to the Xhale club to get premium alcohol (only 2 bars had premium liquor). That left a very bad taste in my mouth. Roger and Alexander tried their best to smooth it over, but the damage was done. The music at the pool is hit or miss during the day. It was all over the place with genres. We did notice that they did not play a certain genre of music until after 5pm.

Other than the few hiccups, we had a time!

Great location, great food, great drinks and great service! Sophia, Eric and Ivan kept the activities fun and were entertaining all day, we loved the cocktail class, pool volleyball and my girlfriend loved the water aerobics, Will absolutely be coming back!

Overall pretty good resort. Their restaurants are good. We especially loved the sushi in Silk City.
The resort is small so the beach chairs and pool chairs are very scant. You have to come early to be able to find a chair to reserve. The beach has a lot of seaweed. Didn’t bother us, but something to keep in mind.

The staff was very nice and welcoming, however for it to be a all inclusive, a lot of things was conditional certain bars , specific drinks , and restaurants only open for dinner just buffet for breakfast / Lunch . Which I hated . It’s a more relax resort .

It’s the second time we stay at this location and its renovation definitely made it prettier and better. They definitely have some of the friendliest staff we’ve encountered at any of our travels: special mention to Pascual at the morning buffet and Abishair at the pool area. Everything is close by, yet very private at the same time, and there’s always enough space to wind down or have a rowdy time for everyone. Can’t wait to go back to this location.

Beautiful resort, great mix of party and relaxation. You can see the effort they put into the entertainment and events for the guests. The food is good, lots of options (not life changing tho) - Hibachi experience is worth it. As for the staff, everyone (and I mean everyone) was great, special shout out to ROGER! He was on top of everything and made our experience even better.
