Excellent resort, very clean - bleaching the pool deck daily, amazing food and no reservations required for à la carte which removes the stress of lining up to book dinner. Highly recommend for families! Sargassum was loaded on the beach and they try their best to remove it daily.

It was very cold on the plane, and I had a hard time because I hadn’t brought a jacket. The resort was clean and spacious, and I enjoyed the delicious cuisine from various countries.
The staff were friendly. However, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, so it was cold.

We took a chance trying a new resort and this did not disappoint. The resort is beautiful and the food was a pleasant surprise! Many options and all were very good. The staff is so friendly and they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They always had activities to all ages around the pool. It felt a little crowded at first but we got used to it. I wish the view of the ocean was a little better but I think this is how most resorts are and that's not a deal breaker for us. Very beautiful resort. Some people didn't recommend this for couples without children but my husband and I really enjoyed it(we're 34&40). We would definitely like to come back here for another trip.

The room was exactly as described. Beach was full of seaweed and unusable. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Cocktails were bottom shelf liquor with limited selections. Spa experience not worth the money. Food very good at the restaurants. Breakfast buffet was average. Fitness center was excellent. Weddings each night so very little entertainment for the hotel guest, just had the DJ music from the wedding receptions.
Overall, good value for the price but for myself, as a 50 year old looking to relax on vacation, this would not be a property we will return to

Overall, this is a good place to rest and relax. The staff was wonderful—every person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and professional. Service throughout the hotel was excellent, especially at the VIP Club, where the team was truly outstanding.

The food was okay, but the buffet could use more variety. I’ve been visiting Cancun for over 10 years and have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and one thing that stood out was the limited liquor selection. Some common brands, such as Maestro Dobel, were not available—even in the VIP area but sold at a ridiculous price during night events.

The nighttime entertainment could also be improved. Shows were scheduled during dinner hours, which made it difficult to enjoy them, especially when traveling with a large group. In addition, the lobby bar closing at 11 PM felt early for an all-inclusive resort.

Another inconvenience was that restaurants could not accommodate larger parties (12+ people) unless an extra fee was paid.

Despite these points, the excellent service from the staff made the stay enjoyable.

We booked a king room with tropical view. It was perfect. The rooms and laid out very nicely, and ones with a jetted tub in all of them. Bed was super comfy and staff went above and beyond. Turn down service was a nice surprise and room service included 24 hours a day was super tasty. Definitely recommend this resort. It does have a kids pool with a separate adults only pool. We went beginning of March so not a lot of kids, or was easy to avoid.

We had an ocean front suite, and it was perfect. Very private balcony and a beautiful view. The staff at this property couldn't be better. Everyone from check in, waiters, beach service, hostess, maids, bartenders, concierge. Everyone was so nice and attentive. This was our 2nd visit to this resort, and we do plan to return.

Not a dream, an absolute NIGHTMARE! Calling this is a 5 star resort is an absurd lie. All photos are digitally enhanced. 100% FALSE ADVERTISING. The bathrooms have wall-mounted beer bottle openers. Need I say more?

This place is absolute trash. I CRIED when we checked in. The room smelled of urine (staff didn’t help), walls are paper thin (you can literally hear a person clearing their throat), everything is dirty, old, food is atrocious! Nothing but WonderBread and composite-ham meat, even in the “VIP” lounge. Food is a cruel joke, seemingly designed to be so unappealing that no one dares go for seconds.

They pack people in this compound like cheap sardines and there’s hardly anywhere to even stand in the pool areas. Absurdly loud music blasts day and night. Mosquitos everywhere!! My 5 month old was nearly eaten alive INSIDE THE ROOM! All windows were closed! They do not spray the grounds!

We booked this place last-minute as all other nearby options were adults-only. Never staying at this type of place again. The “all-inclusive” concept draws the worst kind of people… everyone behaved like wild animals and seemed to suffer from an extreme scarcity mentality. Rude, disrespectful, disgusting.

We recently stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun with the expectation of receiving the level of quality and service that the Dreams brand represents. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of those standards. From the outset, there were issues with our room assignment. We had specifically booked a room with a jacuzzi on the porch, which was an important feature for our stay. Upon arrival, we were informed that due to a wedding on property, that room type was not available. While we understand that events take place at resorts, we do not believe that another guest’s event should impact a confirmed reservation. The alternative room provided did not reflect what we had reserved or paid for. Additionally, our room was located directly next to the housekeeping area. This proved to be both noisy and unpleasant. Being next to a service area created constant disruption, and the proximity to cleaning operations made the location feel inappropriate for a guest room in a resort of this caliber. Despite being next to housekeeping, our room was serviced only once during our stay. Having to repeatedly question basic housekeeping standards while physically adjacent to the housekeeping hub was both frustrating and concerning. We also experienced issues with food quality. While management did attempt to address our concerns after we escalated them and arranged special dining accommodations, even those arrangements fell short.

The rooms were great, very clean and well taken care of. All the staff were incredible, polite, and helpful. I did not give this five stars because the food was not good. The variety of restaurants is good but the steak we had at Seaside grill was gross, half of the clams in my meal at Oceana weren’t open which means they are not edible, the Mexican restaurant was the worst out of all of them with stale tortilla chips and bad entrees. We had our best meal at Boudreaux, however, one of the steaks for our group was rare when ordered medium. We didn’t have a chance to try Portofino because their wait was really long for a table.

A mature, beautiful resort. What stood out was the service. From the time that we arrived, we were ushered through the check in steps effortlessly by Sergio and the check in team. Great restaurants, although the specialty restaurants were a bit chaotic (to be expected). Francisco in particular was exceptional. The Seaside Grill was our morning haven, sunrises with breakfast. Great fitness facilities.

Even though the resort is a bit older than others, it is better because of the maturity and professionalism of the team.

The food never disappoints at Dreams. This is our 6th Dreams we’ve been to and they have really shifted to cater to families with small children. I wouldn’t select this resort if you aren’t traveling with children, as there are no areas that are adults only. We had the preferred club and stayed in a king room with a plunge pool. The preferred benefits here only get you access to the preferred club and a small section of beach chairs. You do need to get up early to reserve chairs, as they get completely taken up by 9am across the whole resort. The service was wonderful and the rooms were very clean every day with fully stocked mini fridge. We did come to golf, which appeared to have included greens fees online, but that was not the case. We enjoyed our stay, but next time we’ll be booking at their adults only brand, Secrets.

I’ve stayed at multiple resorts in Cancun and this is by far my least favorite. I’d give this place a 2.5/5 stars. The resort itself was pretty and clean which i saw them cleaning everyday. Our room was nice and clean but like other resorts they would have your room cleaned early, but here they wouldn’t have it done sometimes until 9:00pm or I’d have to ask them. The biggest issues were food, service and beach. The food was most of the time very cold or inedible, the only place that was good was the Mexican restaurant but it would fill up extremely fast. Then their service lacked they seemed understaffed and sometimes very rude, the other resorts I’ve been to would go above and beyond and were extremely friendly. The beach was the biggest issue, I spend all my time at the beach swimming etc. Seaweed is understandable but the amount of trash this beach area it had was ridiculous, other resorts I’ve been too kept there beach areas extremely clean but this resort did not it had so much trash that you could collect a bag worth. An extra thing that I personally didn’t like was a huge tree by the restaurants that had a ton of bats, they would also fly around near the rooms sometimes. I personally don’t mind animals but they got pretty close too me and freaked me out. Overall it was pretty bad not horrible but for the money you pay you can personally find way better elsewhere. Only positive was it’s very family friendly.

We recently stayed at this all‑inclusive resort and overall had a disappointing experience. The check‑in staff were indifferent and unhelpful, which did not create a welcoming first impression. The facilities are quite old and in need of renovation, and much of the food did not taste fresh. On top of that, the soundproofing in the rooms was very poor, so we could clearly hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms throughout our stay. On the positive side, the entertainment activities were well organized and enjoyable, which was the highlight of our visit.

Where do I start....first of all the room was spacious and overall clean however the AC was not working properly which meant that no matter how long it was turned off, we would all freeze in it. we asked several times for someone to fix it without success. my son ended up with a cold on our last day jsut before goign back to school. secondly, there is no entertainment in this resort, and if any, it's minimal at best, the lobby is not an entertainment space so only a lousy guitare or piano until 10:30pm. there was no white beach party when this is an event every single resorts has been offering each time we traveled. I think the worst was what they called their \"sports bar/night club\" isolated from the rest of the resort so noone knows it even exists. A total joke. a long narrow room with no windows, no service, no ventilation, one big screen with same ads over and over again and no club ambiance, no entertainment staff once. although the food at the various restaurants overall was good, the buffet (we did only once upon arrival on our frist evening) was shameful. barely any options, food cold and the room itself must have been kept at 16 degrees when the evening temperatures were barely reaching 20! the worst was the process to secure a table for us and our group of friends for new years dinner (but same process applies systematically if you want to reserve a table in advance: purchase $US300 worth of wine! and no room here to add more complaints. First, the property is amazing and the suite we got was stunning ocean and pool view with jacuzzi. The services were quick and responsive. The room was pretty clean and tidy with notes from the maid.

Everything was great until when it came to eating, the options were very limited for someone with food restrictions.

If you are a vegan or a vegetarian please look elsewhere because the options are little to none. Most of the meals for us was bread slices and fruits.

I hope the hotel listens to our comments, and have some vegan options, as egg is considered vegetarian, which many of us don’t eat.

Pool temperature was well-heated and very pleasant. Some of the steps are obscure and treacherous at night. I fell because I didn't see a step where there was one. A woman fell about five minutes behind me on the same step. The bellhops lost two items of mine because my bag arrived unzipped and turned inside out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

room was great- it’s a great resort for kids- but for adult quietness not so much. The french restaurant, italian and the japanese was very good. The trying to be charged extra for wine a couple times was not appreciated and to find out diff people were offered diff prices felt more like i was in cuba- but management addressed it. however it caused unnecessary stress and interfered in our trip taking time away. the massage , facial and reflexology was a disappointment- all done at once. The massage alone on a different day was fine. We supposedly won a raffle for 3 free nights new year’s eve but I haven’t seen any evidence of that yet despite asking a few times. I’ll end on a good note - the new years dance was the best of the trip!

★★★★★ Simply outstanding at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa!

Everything about our stay at Dreams Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa (All-Inclusive) was perfect. The resort is stunning, and the rooms are modern, bright, and immaculately clean. Our suite with a private jacuzzi and infinity pool was breathtaking.

The staff truly makes this place special. Huge thanks to Izzy from the entertainment team, Bryan (Bellman), Sergio (Luggage Assistance) who was incredibly quick, warm, and gave great excursion tips, Elena (Housekeeping), and Jessica (Reservations).

A very special thank you to Edwin, Manager on Duty, who turned my birthday trip into an unforgettable experience after learning it was a birthday surprise from my husband. The room decorations, champagne, and cake were such a beautiful and touching gesture. I felt incredibly valued.

The food was excellent, the shows were fantastic, and the beach was beautiful with plenty of loungers and clean towels. We were truly sad to leave.

This hotel sets the standard for hospitality — we will definitely return.

We LOVED everything about this resort. I can not even fully express how amazing this resort is. Not only is it beautiful but it has hands down the BEST staff ever! They are so very thoughtful and consideret. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay and truly it was because of the staff that our experiences there were elevated. I had a minor ankle injury (100% my fault) and from immediately assisting me in wrapping it, to constantly checking on me, to providing wheelchair escort all over, I have never felt so taken care of. We traveled with our two daughters (4 & 8) and they loved the kids club! The dining options are lovely and the resort is gorgeous! As I mentioned EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER was phenomenal, the ones that made an extra special impression on us with their thoughtfulness, service, and professionalism were: Gilberto in the buffet (we truly feel like we made a friend with him and will come back to see him!), Alberto in the services area (he was so kind to understand my injury and take care of our unfortunate excursions cancelations due to my injury) and Rocio and Fatima in the Explorer's Club (Kids club), our daughters LOVED them. I didn't vatch everyones name but EVERYONE was perfection! Also the lady who greeted us for La Petit Chef was so incredibly kind and amazing. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and are so very greatful for helping us have such beautiful memories of this Cancun trip!

Our stay was fantastic. The room was perfectly clean, the staff provided exceptional service, and the amenities were impressive. Everything exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay again!
