The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The faucet in our room would get air in the line on the hot water side at random times and when I turned it on it would shoot water into me and make a mess of my clothes.
The food was solidly mediocre: no amazing flavor, the chips were all stale, but the drinks were good. I was hoping for more exciting food in Mexico, but it wasn't anything particularly memorable: not bad, just not memorable.
We stayed for a week with 2 older kids. I would say that was too long. We had done everything after 4 days and needed to book other excursions outside the resort. Just plan accordingly for your needs and personality.

Had a great time with my 2 kids and husband. The amenities were great. The kids club was awesome. The entertainment was fantastic. Definitely recommend. The beach was not swimmable due to the seaweeds. But we played on the sand and made sand castles. I loved the adult only area and pool. The food from the buffet was okay. The steak house was really good. The views from the room was excellent. Had a great time.

The wife and I had a great experience at sensira. The staff was amazing and attentive to ones needs. The restaurants had good food and hotel amenities were a plus due to alot of things to do at the resort. This place gave a nice luxury feel due to cleanliness and decor . Definitely recommend and would definitely book again. Thanks for a great time staff and shout out to Cesar at the amber lounge for a smooth check in and check out process.

I really recommend Sensira Spa and Resort. Everything was almost perfect during our stay, except for the beach. I chose Sensira because it’s on the beach, but we couldn’t enjoy it because it was full of seaweed. We learned that they’ve been dealing with this issue since 2014, and it’s seasonal from April to October.
The most disappointing part was that small resorts nearby to Sensira seemed to be managing it better. To enjoy the beach, we usually had to walk a few meters away from the resort, but couldn’t use other resorts’ amenities.

Sandy de reception fue muy paciente y muy amable también.
La comida del buffet estaba muy regular y no había mucha variedad, a parte de que casi todo lo encontrabas frío. Tampoco tenían todos los restaurantes abiertos lo cual me parece muy mal, porque una de las razones por las cuales decidí alojarme en Sensira era para tener variedad de restaurantes y la verdad el único restaurante bueno fue el rodeo, de resto todo muy regular.
Les aconsejo que antes de reservar se aseguren que tiene abierto y/o disponible y también si quieren disfrutar de la playa, puerto Morelos, no es una bueno opción, ya que hay mucho sargazo y eso causa muy mal olor y no puedes meterte al mar.

I will rate the hotel 6/10 overall. They have their pros and cons.

Pros
•Sandy, was a nice and wonderful receptionist. She was able to help us with sorting our room on time.
• I had a room with two queen beds (even though the bed looked more like a full bed) but it was comfortable.
• I had the oceanfront room and it was great
• The rooms were always cleaned on time and sometimes twice a day (exceptional work)
•The fridge in the room was always restocked
• unlimited drinks in the hotel
• The steakhouse was the only good option for dinner
• About 5 pools in the hotel (Great)
• The lobby had one of the best scent in any of the hotels I have even visited.
•The spa area was beautiful setup and relaxing.

Cons
•The bathroom had a bad smell when you put on the vent, which we complained about but nothing was done
•Dinner options was not the best
•Buffet options for breakfast and lunch didn't have varities of good food options.
• Snack options had flavorless snacks and limited varieties.

Overall I like the hotel but I will not visit again due to lack of good food options.

I love the place , clean and beautiful; the staff specifically our butler Gabriella and Cesar were very attentive to our needs. The food was great especially in the 3 restaurants- Rodeo, Mexican , and Italian. I love our room with jets overlooking the beach. We will definitely come back next time!

We were originally given the wrong room when we checked in; 1 king bed instead of 2 queens. They were able to provide 2 extra beds for our kids as we couldn’t move until the next day. Front desk staff were nice, however, there was generally only 1, sometimes 2 people; so if you needed anything at a time people are checking in, could be waiting a while. Had to wake up early to get pool chairs; by 6:30 most were already saved. Aside from that, food was good, staff was nice, and the pools were great. Kids loved the mini golf course. There was also a basketball court, that also had soccer nets, right by the golf course. Wasn't the greatest condition, but my son and I still had fun using it.

Very enjoyable time for kids and adults. Chefs made some accomodations for lactose intolerance so my daughter had enough options to eat. The place was clean, modern, air conditioned (a must for me), and had enough to keep everyone entertained. Definitely a family focused place.

There were some small negatives. At this time of year (April) the beach is piled up with seaweed. They had workers keeping it as contained as possible

Great resort! Smaller resort which was amazing. Lots of stuff for the kids to do- the indoor stuff was a bonus when kids need a break. Staff were extremely friendly and kind. Food was amazing, only thing was the buffet was closed for dinner the last two nights we were there and nobody communicated that it was going to be. We were able to get into the restaurant but only having 2 available is a bit of a challenge

Hotel: was amazing from our kids perspective. They have a lot of activities for kids (Zip-line, indoor trampoline, theatre, kids club…). Kids club opens late so parents can have kids free dinner reservations or visit adult only parts of hotel.
From adult perspective it was basic. Some areas of hotel were falling apart. A lot of air fresheners in common areas so it smelt clean but was visibly dirty. Cleaning safe pretty much only do the bed. They didn’t wipe or clean sinks or shower, much less anything else.
Restaurant: the only decent restaurant was the adult only one. Everything was not tasty. Buffet food is trash. They could do better with food quality.
Beach: it’s not usable. Overrun with seaweed causing a foul smell in some parts of hotel.

Our stay at this resort has been extremely disappointing and, at times, genuinely frightening. The property is completely overcrowded with young children far beyond what the staff seems capable of safely managing. At one point during our stay, there was a drowning incident involving a young boy in the pool. Thankfully, it appeared he was revived, but witnessing something like that is incredibly unsettling and speaks to a serious lack of supervision and safety measures.

The pool areas feel chaotic, with children everywhere and not nearly enough staff or visible oversight to ensure safety. For families, this is deeply concerning.

Beyond safety, the overall quality of the resort is very poor. The food and drinks are well below expectations and not worth the cost of staying here. Additionally, the smell from the seaweed is overwhelming and constant far worse than neighboring resorts, which seem to manage it much better.

We actually paid to spend a day at another nearby resort, and the difference was night and day. The service, food, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were significantly better, and there was no overwhelming seaweed odor.

Overall, this resort is not worth the money and does not feel like a safe or well-managed environment—especially for families with young children. I work hard for my money, and this was a low-average, disappointing experience. I would not recommend wasting your money here—there are far better options nearby. Stay elsewhere.

We had a nice vacation at Sensira but the check in process took hours and the front desk staff wasn’t very friendly. We also didn’t like that there was a $12 fee every time you order room service, as this has never been a thing at other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at. Our room phone was broken and didn’t work the entire time so that made it difficult to call the front desk if we needed anything. The staff were friendly overall, especially the pool and waiter staff.

We unfortunately witnessed a near drowning and the lifeguard on duty performed life-saving measures so we were grateful that Sensira had lifeguards on duty that were obviously well-trained!

The food at the buffet could have been better and they kept running out of things, which was just inconvenient. The food at the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant was really good. Overall, our vacation was fun but we wouldn’t stay at Sensira again.

I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. From the moment we checked in, this trip was filled with issues.
•Hidden Fees: Upon arrival, we were hit with an extra \"tax/charge\" that had to be paid immediately, on top of everything we already paid for the trip. There was no \"welcome to our resort,\" just an immediate demand for more money before getting our room.
•Dining/Food Shortages: The buffet was a disaster. It was constantly picked over, with dishes scraped clean, even right after opening. The pool food stand also constantly ran out of food. We learned quickly to rush to the lunch buffet at 12:30, or else we wouldn't eat.
•Pool and Amenities: The kids' pool was dangerously overcrowded, with parents not watching their children. There were no chairs available at the pool area; our family had to sit on a garden wall and take turns watching our belongings. We had to go to the lobby bar just to get drinks, and even then, there was a long line due to understaffing.
•Towels: We tried multiple times to get pool towels, and after multiple failed attempts, we gave up. We had to rely on the kindness of another guest who shared an unused towel with us.
•Staffing & Management: The entire resort felt severely understaffed. Management seems to be completely ignoring the chaos, leaving many guests I spoke with unhappy.
•Misc Issues: The kids' pool was randomly closed at 2 p.m. without reason. The pool area had visible cracks in it. Dinner started late (6 p.m.), which is not ideal fo

The resort was clean overall minus Mexico’s seaweed problem, no one was at the beach. The rooms were clean (cleaned everyday) and staff were helpful but can get busy. Making reservations at the few restaurants can be a hassle as they fill up quickly, sometimes calling the front desk with no answer is a pain. I suggest walking down to the front desk as soon as you can to make reservations (8:30-3pm). Room service is definitely better with a $10 charge per service but you can order as much as you want. In my experience the food at resorts in Mexico are nothing to rave about but that is not a knock to Sinsera itself. It’s definitely geared towards kids even though there is an adults side. Overall I’d give it a 6/10 (2 adults and 3 children point of view). I’d return with as family but not as a couple.

Decent family resort. Went there with 2 boys - 9 and 11 years old and had a good week. Staff didn't seem super happy, but that's fine, and my only real disappointment with the amenities was that they often weren't available as advertised. One of the reasons I chose this resort, for instance, was the zip-line and climbing wall for the kids. I did not see the climbing wall open during our stay, and the zip line was open for a very short period in the morning and again in the afternoon. The 9 year old stood in line on 4 different occasions only to be turned away as they were closing (again), which disappointed him.

Restaurants were good, particularly the steakhouse, and the buffet was ok.

This was our 3rd stay here and as always we had a great time. Things were a little different with making reservations for the steakhouse but I'm sure that was because it was SO BUSY! We were able to make it to Galerie de Sens, the steakhouse a few times and the Mexican and Italian restaurants. The Italian restaurant was a little disappointing because we were the 1st ones in there but it took over 45 minutes to get our food and the 3-4parties behind us got all their food, dessert and left before we got ours. The pools are always great, theres plenty to do with my 12 and 5 year old boys. We all had a great time and didn't want to leave The piols are always greatthe breakfast buff

One downside was that restaurant reservations were only opened on the same day and could be made online only. At times, it was difficult to access the system, so we were unable to visit some of the restaurants.

We also felt that there wasn’t enough information about which restaurants required reservations, and it would have been helpful to have a hotel map. We didn’t get a chance to fully explore all areas of the hotel.

My room was cleaned, but they never did the floors our entire stay, so they got pretty bad. There are absolutely no face clothes on site, they are understaffed. I feel bad for the staff because they are working so hard, but they do not have enough to keep up. The place is falling apart and it is not clean, the lounge chairs in the lobby are filthy, walls are dirty, there is a big hole in the walking bridge over the pools. The beach is full of seaweed and it stinks, a lot.
I do not recommend this resort. I honestly have no idea how they have the reviews they do. The food is average, I was expecting some good seafood and fresh fruit but they ran out of the fruit early in the day. All the food they actually ran out of all the time, the ice cream for the kids, the snacks, the breakfast items in the morning, they were continually running out certain food items.

This resort smells like turtle water only the bathroom smells good the stink smell is every where.

Food- very bland and did not pay homage to the culture. there are only 4 options of dine buffet/ steakhouse (requires reservations *hard to do ) ( Mexican - always packed / Italian ( just what’s left but not seasoning. They do not have enough staff for the amount of people that are at the resort the visitor to staff ratio is very unbalanced. BEACH - is completely dirty the water is brown and you should not get in it they Have water activities that no one is doing because the space they want you to stay in is so limited. But the water looks infected and there is trash washing up on the shore.
The beach are is super small. POOL THE pool area is annoying they have too meny people and not enough beach chairs they don’t have enough towels they are always running out and there is a 2 hour wait for fresh ones because of the early hold my chair all day at the pool people.

DRINKS - all watered down they taste like absolutely nothing best drink i had WAS A GINGER-ALE.they advertise drinks that they do not have the ingredients for everything shuts down at 10pm there will be nothing to do on the resort after 935pm.

KIDS - this is highly recommend for kids under 10 that are small if you have a big kid that is over 150cm they will not get to do anything except go to baby daycare and they might not like it because of all the small size kiddos is what it caters To.

Hotel hermoso, instalacion y habitacion todo padrisimo pero no creo volver a ir porque la gente como recepcionistas, concierges, meseros son muy pesimos en servicio, todos enojados, amargos y muy secos.
Para el check in 1hr de fila.
a pesar de que No dan informacion si no preguntas, y si preguntas contestan 0 amable? solo enseña con su dedo a QR, servicios muy lentos.
Necesitan mas variedad en la comidad o mas restaurantes, para desayunar tienen que ir antes de las 8 para evitar larga fila. Para cena tambien se tardan muchisimo para servir.
Todas actividades se acaban a las 10 muy temprano, los bares tambien se cierran a las 11, room service tambien viene como 24hr pero antes de las 11 dicen ya no tienen nada se acabaron. No pueden hacer nada en la noche solo los niños disfrutan con tanta actividad, pero se pierden mucho tiempo en espera para todos, ni un dia alcanzamos para ver el show ya que es a las 8 pero justo la hora se cena 7 o 8.
Espero que se mejoren en su servicio.

Room is clean and spacious but the bathroom had a noticeable cigarette smell, which made the space feel unclean and poorly prepared. There appeared to be consistent understaffing across the resort, which impacted the overall experience. At check-in, only two front desk agents were working; despite just two families ahead, the wait was approximately 40 minutes in line and another 20 minutes to complete the process. Service at the buffet was limited, with no staff checking in or offering drinks. The same issue was noticeable at the pool, where very few staff were present and service was only available if you actively flagged someone down. On the final day, room service was unreachable between 7:00–7:40 AM, with no answer despite multiple attempts.

I read a lot of reviews and I was a bit hesitant to go here but in the end, Sensira felt like home to my girls and I. It was worth every penny.
The staff absolutely amazing, friendly and super hardworking. You cannot but feel their energy. It was my birthday and my daughters and we got a lovely surprise in the room.
I loved the activities during the day by the pool. Food was good too, I’m not so picky so it was great for me and a lot of variety at the buffet restaurant. I loved going to the food shack all the time as well.
Although I wished we could play on the beach but I get it’s the seaweed season. Still it was a lovely time.
Shout out to Tony the bell boy, the front desk staff, the bartenders, Irma, every single person was amazing. I will definitely return again. We miss it there already.

So I’ve contemplated on writing this review because of all the good reviews it had previously and that is why I booked at this resort. Overall, the property aesthetic wise was very nice, but the service the staff was highly understaffed and overworked towels was nearly impossible to get during pool time and replenishing of the room. We were not able to swim at the beach in front of the resort at all due to the amount of seaweed, they could not remove and provided a barrier from the sand to the ocean. The staff that we did encounter were very nice and helpful but again overworked the restaurants were OK and their main restaurant that everyone wanted to eat at you were unable to get reservations

I’m one of those people that don't normally write reviews but this place needed some feedback. Overall, great looking resort but a lot smaller than most of the typical larger resorts like a Barcelo for example.

Food was constantly out, basic kids options like ketchup, nuggets, fries, ice cream was non existent without having to track some down. Kids options on the buffet were extremely limited. The buffet for snacks were always low and needed to remind staff to refill.

The pool chairs were always taken by 8am and if you aren’t an early riser, there was 0 hope that you and your family were getting a chair.

There wasn’t a huge focus on kids activities during the day (there is an awesome little trampoline park) but our kids had a ton of fun and that was the most important thing. The shows at night were great and kids enjoyed them.

Biggest fail - food choice for kids and food availability at all buffets, pool chairs, towels (always had to wait 20+ minutes for them) and lines for everything.

For the kind of money we spent, would go to a larger resort with more options.

Rooms were clean for sure. There were paint chips and paint drippings constantly on the deck. Staff overall weren’t very friendly or accommodating. Didn’t park although there did seem to be lots of cars on the up and down ramp the whole time we were there. The road in and out was in terrible condition.
There was not enough staff and lineups absolutely everywhere we went. Which is why I think the staff weren’t overly friendly. They were overworked and under-appreciated.

Ocean was visible from my room. People are very friendly. Alicia from \"Trampoline exercise \" was so friendly. Great coach. We had so much fun jumping on the trampoline every morning.
Isabelle - the life guard girl as well. Very friendly and nice. Fun in the pool aerobic also.
The only thing we where missing is walking roads, except the beach.

My family and I spent spring break at Sensira the last week of March. It was our first time to Cancun and our first time staying at an all inclusive resort. The facilities were very nice. The room was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping came several days over the 7 days we were there. The pools (3) were nice. They allowed pool floats. The beach was inundated with seaweed (sargassum). It smelled pretty bad and irritated my allergies (which I have never experienced with seaweed). The seaweed was so thick that it rendered the beach unusable. There were people trying to clear the seaweed from the beach, but it was an unachievable task. There were a lot of activities for kids: swimming, movies, trampolines, a video game area, nightly shows. We also had plenty of access to drinks all day, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The food was good, with some days better than others. We ate all but one meal in the Pergola (buffet) because we were never able to get a reservation in the one restaurant everyone suggested. Lunch was insane! The outdoor restaurant had no organization to it. Food took more than an hour and sometimes people would walk off with your order. All of the waitstaff and service staff in the resort were very nice and very helpful. Bring pesos to tip. The front desk staff and concierge staff were not very nice. They were not rude, but not very hospitable either. The resort is isolated. There is no where to go off the property.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff and lots to do. However, the restaurants are all disorganized: long waits and constantly out of staple like cups, spoons, milk, despite being at 30-40% of capacity. Also, they are unfortunately affected by the sargassum algae blooms, and the gulf water was inaccessible through 20-30 feet of thick rotting smelly seaweed.

The drinks were good and the activities staff is especially energetic and fun for the whole family! Gracias a Jerry y Sammy!

I went to sensira previously and it was amazing, came back again for a quick week in 2026, the place is still clean and the staff amazing. But food which was one of the highlights the first time i came was now neutral at best. It feels like there was budget cut on food, no guacamole for tacos, one type of tacos if any. Back when i went the first time the tacos station during diner had 3 types of meats, 6 different sauces etc.. even at the mexican specialty restaurant 3 tiny tacos at entrée. I talk about tacos specifically but i felt it was the same for every other type of food.

So the hotel is nice, the place is amazing for family but the food is now just ok. Its not disgusting but it wont be a highlights. Even the rodeo meat was okay and we tried it all.

We overall had a great stay at Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya and would especially recommend it for families with kids.

The resort is on the smaller side, but it’s very well designed and has everything you need. It never felt boring — there are plenty of activities, and the kids facilities are truly excellent. This is one of the most kid-friendly resorts we’ve experienced.

The staff was also a highlight. Everyone, from the front desk to the servers, was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We always felt taken care of, and the resort overall is very well run.

That said, there are a few areas that need improvement:

Food & drinks: While food was generally fresh, the buffet lacked variety and became repetitive. Fruit selection was limited, and some items (like avocados) were only available at certain times. The juices were particularly disappointing — they tasted artificial with a strong aftertaste and were not enjoyable.
Alcohol: Drinks were very diluted, even when ordering top-shelf, which was frustrating.
Housekeeping: This needs attention. We noticed practices that did not feel sanitary (e.g., same towel used in multiple areas, pillows placed on the floor without changing pillowcases).
Beach: There was a significant amount of seaweed during our stay, and cleanup efforts were minimal compared to neighboring resorts, so we weren’t able to enjoy the ocean.

Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and for the price, the resort offers good value — especially for families.

Our stay at Sensira Resort was terrible. First off let me say I have never had to write a bad review till now and I have stayed at multiple resorts at different locations in Mexico including Tulum, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun multiple times, Cabo and Puerto Peñasco multiple times. I’m going to simplify this as short as possible and if anyone wants to follow up with me feel free to shoot me a follow up message and we can go through specific details.

1. We arrived early could not check in till exactly 3; we even tried to check in at 2:55 just to be told it wasn’t 3 yet and could not be checked in
2. Bags were left unattended. Anyone could have accessed them and we ultimately took them up to our own room because we couldn’t find bellman
3. There was no staff at the amenities play area to assist us with equipment; multiple times we had to look around the front of the resort to flag staff down to sign in and use amenities
4. The first day we arrived while waiting to be checked in they did allow us access to the pool but our towels were taken away even though they were clearly not used and next to our stroller, pool was freezing
5. When we were finally able to check in, the room we were assigned was occupied! I walked in on a family and my kids were the first ones in the room, major safety issue!!!!!
6. Went straight to front desk and didn’t even receive an apology; they just took our luggage and showed us to the correct room.

We were really looking forward to another stay at Sensira, after a great time last year. The resort is clean and the staff is great, and the amenities remained pretty much the same. While Sensira advertises itself as a family resort, instead this year they hosted 2 separate Texas private school graduation trips during our 7 night stay - there were hundreds of entitled kids treating it as their private resort, crowding the facilities and having late night parties (including resort hosted white parties that went until 11pm with loud music and screaming) and loud music from balconies. My suggesting to resort management is to host these sorts of parties on off-peak weeks (i.e., not during spring break) or require them to rent out the entire resort. We and the few other families with young kids did not enjoy those days.

The hotel is small but looks cozy; perfect for a family with kids as it’s a lot of entertainments and fun stuff to do. For adults only it’s a little boring as no night club or disco and show program ends at 9pm.
Overall, clean, food is tasty but not a huge choice in the buffet. All restaurants cook delicious food.

Stunning views and great for kids, though food variety could improve
We recently stayed at this resort with our 4-year-old, and she had the absolute best time. The property is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are amazing. A huge plus is that all rooms are sea-facing, so you can’t go wrong with the view! There is plenty to do for kids, which kept her busy and happy throughout the trip.
A few things to note: as vegetarians, we found the food options a bit limited. While the quality was good, the variety/spread wasn't very large. Also, a small tip for the resort: more popcorn for the kids' movie nights would be great!
Tips for future travelers:
Dining: Book your steakhouse reservations early; it’s not a walk-in spot.
Spa: The spa isn't inclusive, so make sure to schedule your own appointments.
Packing: The Sensira shop is quite expensive. I’d recommend bringing your own beach toys and essentials from home.

The pictures online are extremely deceiving. There is very little to do at the resort, and the kids’ activities were almost nonexistent, which was very disappointing for a family trip.

The biggest issue was the food. At a resort, food should be a top priority, and this was by far some of the worst food we’ve experienced. Most of it had no flavor, was barely edible, or was cold because it had clearly been sitting out for a long time (especially at the café). Nothing tasted fresh. We tried multiple restaurants hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately the food was consistently disappointing across the entire resort.

Our room itself was okay, but the sliding door did not close properly and had an opening of nearly a foot. We reported it right away, yet it still took two days for anyone to fix it, which is unacceptable for a basic maintenance issue.

The only positive part of our stay was the staff, who were very friendly and kind. Unfortunately, good service alone cannot make up for the lack of activities, poor food quality, and maintenance issues.

Overall, this resort did not live up to expectations at all, and we will definitely not be staying here again.

Seaweed built an impressive wall on the unusable beach. Pools were good, food was cold and reused in the buffet, restaurants were ok, after dinner time the resort basically goes to bed. Ok experience for young kids but even they got bored after day 3. The biggest frustration was check in, a large group arrived just ahead of us, and the staff refused to let us jump the que to help our exhausted sick kid get into ac sooner than later. Some rules are worth bending.

If you are traveling with children, just ignore the bad reviews from people with high expectations.

We traveled to Sensira in February 2026 with 2 children. This resort is amazing for families, with many ammenities for children. They absolutely loved Amy, Josephine & Daniela at the kids club. The kids club had lots of fun activities for them, and the indoor playground part was a big hit. It was well air conditioned, so perfect for peak heat. The trampoline park was a big hit too, they even had 2 hours in the morning reserved for little kids.
We stayed in the Agatha 2 Queen room and had a view of the beach and lower pool. The room was lovely. QR code to see the schedule for weekly activities and restaurant menus. The TV had the ability to connect to your own streaming services, which was nice the few times we used it. The rain shower was nice and bottled water was provided daily for brushing teeth and drinking.
The restaurants were nice, but there is a system. Make your reservations the morning before at concierge, or line up around 5:20pm for the Italian/ Mexican. The adults only paris-themed restaurant had our favorite meals. It is only open on Saturdays so be sure to line up to make a reservation at concierge on Friday morning around 8am. Don't skip the buffet for breakfast and lunch, and order your seaside lunch from a pool lounger instead of lining up.
Yes, there will be lines, but you're on vacation - what's your rush? Order all the drinks you can carry at once.
