I can’t say how much we enjoyed this resort! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Met some amazing people and the staff was off the charts. Enrique our butler made everything fun easy and special. Eugenio and Ernesto at the pool bars were so attentive. Roger at breakfast. We got to do a ceviche class with executive chef Octavio and had the best time. Rooms amazing! Beds changed twice per day. Small place. Chill vibe but so much fun and relaxation. For sure want to make a trip back there. And the spa experience was fantastic with sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hydrotherapy and a salt room!! Arianna the guide was a delight. Maria at check in made sure we knew everything and gave us a quick tour so we knew where to go for drinks and dinner. Honestly we’ve been to Cancun 15 times and this place is one of our favorites.

Such a lovely resort. Very lovely staff. Definitely some of the best drinks I have had an all inclusive resort. Dining is somewhat limited, but all really good food. Also, most of the restaurants don't require reservations which was nice to not have to have everything planned out as soon as you arrived. They offered some really fun classes like ceviche making, and tequila/mezcal tastings. I prefer these types of experiences over some the shows, etc that other resorts offer. We are typically more beach people but we knew going into this vacation that the beaches were not very swimmable in the area due to the seaweed. They had lovely pools, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas and friendly staff to help with umbrellas and get food and beverages. Definitely some of the best drinks I have had an all inclusive resort. I would definitely recommend staying on an upper floor as our beachfront room was very obstructed by bushes, etc. Also, our plunge pool didn't have water and was making a strange noise for quite a bit of the time but honestly didn't bother us much. Overall had a really good stay!

Paraiso de la Bonita truly lives up to its name. This hotel is a paradise — a piece of heaven on earth — made even more special by its incredible staff. The property is stunning, immaculate, luxurious, and beautifully in harmony with nature, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional service.

When they call you “familia,” they genuinely mean it. My wife and I were treated with so much love, kindness, and care throughout our stay. Without us ever asking, they surprised my wife with birthday decorations and a romantic dinner setup in our room, prepared beach hats, snacks, water, and a hotel bag for one of our trips, comforted us after a rough day outside with kind and wise words, and with romantic room decorations, and even had one of their chefs prepare a special course just for us during one of our dinners.

The hotel itself is breathtaking. We loved every architectural and design detail, and especially appreciated how connected the property is with nature. Seeing peacocks, coatis, iguanas, and woodpeckers roaming the grounds made the experience even more magical.

The food was outstanding, and Côté à Costa had the best tasting menu we experienced.

Paraiso de la Bonita completely redefined the meaning of “luxury” for us. Now, every time we hear that word, we think of them.

Our honeymoon at Paraiso de la Bonita was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of the experience was first-class. The resort is intimate, peaceful, and truly feels like a private sanctuary rather than a large commercial hotel.

The service was extraordinary. Our personal butlers, Norma and Cath, were outstanding and made us feel like celebrity guests throughout our stay. They handled every detail with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care, ensuring that our honeymoon was seamless and incredibly special.

The resort itself is a work of art. The architecture, décor, and curated collection of antiques and artwork create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Everywhere you look, there is something beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Walking through the property feels like an immersive visual experience.

The food and drinks were excellent, with high-quality ingredients and beautifully prepared meals. The spa, pools, and beachfront setting were equally impressive, providing the perfect combination of luxury and relaxation.

If you are looking for a romantic, sophisticated, and tranquil all-inclusive resort with impeccable service, this is one of the most special places we have ever visited. We could not have chosen a better destination for our honeymoon and look forward to returning.

We had an absolutely incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout our entire visit.

The food was outstanding across every restaurant, and the room itself was beautifully designed—elegant, comfortable, and clearly well thought out. The entire property has a luxurious, cohesive feel that really adds to the overall experience.

We were fortunate enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to the Diamond Club, which truly took things to the next level. The butler service was seamless and made everything feel effortless and personalized.

The spa was another highlight—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and a perfect place to unwind. A special thank you to Adrianna for taking such great care of us.

Also, a huge shoutout to Yolalt, Fernando, and Enrique, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their attention to detail and hospitality did not go unnoticed.

The room sizes are amazing. You get tons of space with 4 key areas, a living room, a bedroom, a massive bathroom and a generous outdoor patio space. All rooms come with an ocean view which makes selection much easier. We opted for the plunge pool which offers a perfect private option for relaxation in the room itself. There's 2 massive TVs as well which makes some of the downtime in bed a little more fun. The bathrooms are exceptional. Amazing rainfall shower, huge soaker tub, double sink.

All of the things that made this place special 7 years ago on our honeymoon (now under new ownership) are still present today. This is our favorite boutique, intimate resort in the area. The hospitality is unmatched anywhere else. The rooms are spacious and the remodeled bathrooms were a big plus. There are excellent food options for all 3 meals and no reservations are required. The exclusive diamond club bar and restaurant (Qin Qin) were well worth the upgrade. We could go on... but in short - we can't wait to return! Everybody we met was extremely friendly and helpful, and we owe special recognition to these people for making our stay perfect

Had a truly memorable and unforgettable time at the resort. The property is beautiful with lots of cute animals, the food every day is excellent, and the service is simply wonderful. Cancun and Playa del Carmen are fairly close by Uber or Taxi.

It was the perfect place for a quiet escape — peaceful, elegant, and incredibly relaxing. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and I truly appreciated that there was no loud party atmosphere, just calm surroundings. I especially appreciated that all meals are served à la carte — no buffets — which made the experience feel more elevated and enjoyable. We had such a great stay from February 2nd to February 8th. Our room was spotless and exactly as pictured. Spacious, beautiful, and with amazing views. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything immaculate each day.

Our butler, Fernando, and the GM, Cesar, were truly exceptional. They checked in on us regularly and made sure we felt taken care of the entire time. The level of service really stood out.

The resort is peaceful and leans toward a quieter, more mature crowd, which made it perfect for our honeymoon. We loved the calm, relaxing atmosphere. The beach access is just steps away, which was such a bonus.

We did have a brief issue with lukewarm water in our room, but it was resolved immediately. The team even offered us a Bali bed and champagne as a courtesy, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

The food and overall service were wonderful. The only minor downside was the cooler weather during our stay, which of course had nothing to do with the resort.

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with attentive service, we would absolutely recommend staying here.

I was very underwhelmed with my stay having been to two other all inclusive hotels in the area.

Firstly, the beach here is practically unusable and this is not clear when booking. Chairs are not even setup on the beach, I just pulled one down since I didn’t want to be trapped at the pool all day.

The parrot, Sofia, seems unhealthy and poorly cared for. She is given little attention, toys, or activities. You can see she is covered with pin feathers too. This is addressed in other reviews and am saddened there is not better care provided.

I will say the staff is friendly and tries to be attentive but there isn’t much for them to do. The resort is so small there is not much need for a butler service.

During my stay I had a worker come into my room without waiting for me to tell them to wait, as I was indisposed. I have never had this happen in a hotel before and was shocked the worker just came in.

While the buildings were updated, the door to my room was not fitted properly. I could see the sunlight coming in, along with mosquitoes. This also made it difficult for the air conditioning to work well.

Additionally, I was served raw chicken for dinner and when I said something was told that it was a chicken thigh, not a breast. That didn’t matter to me, raw is raw.

I would not recommend this place to others and am sure you can find something nicer.

We had such a wonderful stay at this resort and can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member was incredibly friendly and kind. There is a genuine feeling of care here. It truly feels like the staff are happy to be there, and that attention to detail shows in every part of the resort. Our room was elegant, simple, and thoughtfully designed, and having a private mini pool area made it feel extra special and relaxing.
The food was excellent. Fresh juices, smoothies, and avocado toast at breakfast were a highlight for me as someone who eats healthy, though there were plenty of great options for everyone. The tacos were a standout for our other meals. We also had butler service during our stay, and Catherine and Enrique were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and they truly elevated our entire experience.
We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and well-cared-for getaway.

We had a great time! From check in to departure, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
The rooms are large and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. All rooms are ocean facing, and we also had large balconies.
We spent most of the time at the main pool.
Breakfast: there is an extensive ala carte menu with tacos that are prepared to order. There is a small buffet with fruit etc. for breakfast, This restaurant also serves Mexican food for lunch and dinner. The Mediterranean restaurant is open for dinner, with a mix of Italian and French dishes. There is also a Latin themed outdoor restaurant near the pool. The food was always delicious and well presented. While the menus are extensive, I can see that one may run out of new dishes if staying for more than 5-7 days.

The property itself is clean and situated within natural surroundings with numerous birds and coati families!
As expected, there is Sargassum weeds in the sea. The narrow beach is cleared of weeds several times a day, but this is not a resort where one would spend a lot of time on the beach.
We found the service to be exceptional. A big thanks to our butlers Cath and Enrique, as well as Jesus and Jose who served us at the pool. However, every staff member was very helpful and quickly resolved the minor issues we encountered.
Don't be discouraged by the potholes in the road to the resort; a slice of heaven exists beyond the gate!

I recently stayed at Paraiso La Bonita and want to start with the positives: the staff were exceptionally friendly and engaged, and the room was large, beautiful, and exactly as pictured. With the recent Marriott takeover, I see real potential and would consider returning.

That said, several gaps kept this from feeling like a true 5-star experience. Service was consistently slow—both at the restaurant and especially at the pool, where it regularly took 30+ minutes just to place an order or receive a drink. Beach chairs were often unavailable as well. The staff were lovely, but the operation needs stronger systems and oversight.

Dining options were also limited. Breakfast was fantastic, but with only two restaurants open for lunch and dinner, the menus quickly became repetitive during my five-night stay. Given how remote the property is, more variety or rotating specials would make a big difference. Room-service offerings were also minimal and not particularly impressive.

Mid-stay, my room developed a strong drainage odor and a significant number of drain gnats, which led to multiple bites. Although I reported it, no one followed up. My room phone also never worked despite several requests, and housekeeping tended to be slow.

The resort has strong potential under Marriott, but improvements in service speed, dining variety, and room maintenance are needed to deliver a true 5-star experience.

The staff was kind and the hotel room was very comfortable. Unfortunately the advertisement as per hotels.com of 2 pools, beach service and a functional spa were false. There was one pool with the other under construction, no full spa experience and no beach service. The beach was small but there were areas on the lush property that if promoted, the guests could have experienced this. More construction of other bar areas was also being done during the day.
The property perhaps should have stayed closed while these modifications and improvements were being made. We had a three night stay, but after the first night we left for another resort.

Staff provided excellent service. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. The room was very spacious - huge - and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with any supply you could need. Towels were thick and nice. We had a cozy loveseat on our balcony perfect for stargazing and listening to the ocean. The food was delicious with good portions, and the service at the restaurants was attentive and friendly. All the staff was great and easy to communicate with. Most remarkable was Cristian at the front desk, who went above and beyond to resolve a transportation issue for us (unrelated to the hotel). We liked the location, which has a private feel. Only downside is the beach was impacted by sargassum, like many in the area, so is not ideal for those looking to focus on beach time. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Just a 25-minute drive from Cancun Airport, this tranquil resort offers the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Our room boasted a private plunge pool, and at night, the soothing sound of waves lulled us to sleep. As an all-inclusive haven, it served up exquisite made-to-order gourmet dishes, and the food and drinks were simply exceptional. Although sargassum kept us from enjoying the beach, the resort’s abundant poolside beds meant we could relax in the sun anytime. I loved that they offered free activities like painting, cooking classes, and wine tasting, adding fun to every day. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s attentive service made us feel truly cared for, especially the personalized butler service that elevated our experience. Celebrating my birthday was made extra special when the restaurant manager and chef collaborated to prepare a fantastic meal and a birthday cake. Every staff member greeted us with genuine respect, and General Manager Cesar went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. Be on the lookout—you might spot a curious coati or iguana wandering the property! Overall, this stay was one of my best experiences, and I can’t wait to return.

Incredible Babymoon with amazing service & a beautiful resort

My wife and I stayed at Paraiso de la Bonita for our babymoon and had an amazing experience. The staff and management went above and beyond from the moment we arrived, even getting Heineken Zero for my pregnant wife so she could enjoy a non-alcoholic beer. Service throughout the resort was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring.

The food was excellent, especially dinner and the breakfast spread was the best we’ve seen at an all-inclusive, with fresh juices, pastries, a full menu, and breakfast tacos made right in the dining room. The bartenders were fun and creative (big shout-out to Luis), and Raul in the restaurant made every dinner feel special. They also remembered my wife’s uncommon allergies by day three and always double-checked her meals.

Our plunge pool suite was beautiful, peaceful, and spotless, with a spa-like rain shower and a private pool big enough for both of us to relax comfortably. Room service was great, and a couple of days we didn’t even want to leave the suite.

Like most of Cancun in the fall, the beach has seaweed, but the resort is designed so well that from the pool and rooms you only see the turquoise water. While the saltwater pool was under construction, everything else more than made up for it.

If you want a quiet, adults-only, upscale all-inclusive with fantastic service, great food, and beautiful suites, this is
the place.

We will absolutely be back.

My vacation was a 10/10, from start to finish. Starting with the service, the staff members, the beauty and cleanliness of the resort and rooms.

Service: we were met with the most wonderful staff members. Cesar, the general manager took the time to see us and message us on multiple occasions throughout our stay to ensure everything was okay and our expectations were being met. - they exceeded our expectations. Brandon and Luis at the front desk were amazing and helpfully. Our butler service by Enrique, Alex, and Mario were absolutely pleasant. Anything we needed, they were available at our fingertips. Ivan, the manager of one of the restaurants on site was also so delightful and also took the time to make sure our needs were being met. Ricardo, Luis, Jonathan, were also some of the staff members that made our stay so memorable. There were so much other staff members that made it memorable that I was unable to catch the names of but every one we came across was amazing.
This was truly a luxurious experience and the resort, the massage, the restaurants were all so amazing, we enjoyed the food at the Joya Restaurant the most but all the restaurants plus the piano bar were exceptional. The pool side bar was also amazing! Honestly I could go on and on about how great this place was. I honestly cannot wait to go back!
