Checking in was brutal. “Front desk” was disorganized. Offered an “upgrade” but was really a downgrade from our junior suite. Room was not ready until almost 5. Elevators slow. Breakfast service slow and food was cold. Broken elevator, when elevators were already very slow and & small in general a very disappointing experience.The only great part was Eli- unfortunately not great enough to overcome all the other obstacles.

First I would like to say beautiful hotel from lobby and rooftop. The hallway smells funny and it's very strong like they need carpet cleaning. The room needs some maintenance. Still don't agree with no guest in your room.Because I feel like if you pay for your stay.It shouldn't matter who visits you.All that matters is that they don't stay and sleep there. They were very strong about that when I had a visitor and they followed my visitor all the way up to my room.Just to tell me that they can't be there.They only can be in the lobby for only fifteen minutes. Another thing, this place is more for older crowd. 45 and up. If you are someone that wants to relax and not be around younger crowds, then you are.Welcome to go there. The staff are really friendly. The food is not that great. And room service is like one hour plus but they will tell you forty minutes.

Lovely, clean hotel, very spacious room with view of the sea. The staff were variable - guy at the bar is a legend and Israel was great helping me book trips. Loads of options and delicious food for breakfast, lunch and at the pool bar, but I’d imagine the dinner menu could get boring if you’re there on AI for more than a few days. All great quality and nice it’s all à la carte - no buffets in sight!! Overall, great value and enjoyable stay!

The Fives was incredible - if you are looking for a private more quiet stay right on the beach this is the place - all the staff were amazing, helpful, friendly and were genuinely interested in making our stay memorable… the rooms are exquisite and the food was top class - they could’ve had one more restaurant to choose from but the roof top restaurant is quite lovely - we had a great stay and we would go back - there was seaweed on the beach but each day it would be cleaned up and made to look pristine …
We had a lively family vacation and walked into the village a few times which is a quick and safe walk

The new GM was a great addition as well! I've stayed there Many times and have seen a lot of changes . He was very present and expressed genuine concern. The beach and the infinity pools were within walking distance from our room. The service staff was great. We went during the off season so food options were a bit limited. The food was mostly great and some were inconsistent. The best dessert was the tiramisu!

The room was good. The restaurants and bars closed at 9pm, no food no drinks after 9pm. The beach was useless because of seaweed, very bad smell of seaweed even in the room. We booked for 2 weeks but after second day we cancelled our stay, hotel didn’t want to refund us at all.
Be very careful when you book on the Expedia, verify carefully the information, don’t relay on what Expedia publish, in case of any pb, they wont take any responsibility and help you.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Fives. Food was okay, beach and pools were perfect, staff was friendly. It did seem like they didn’t have a great system for all inclusive guests. I didn’t like that you had to say your room number to everyone when ordering. Also a downside that they didn’t have any buffets for a quick bite. You always had to sit down and be waited on, just seemed like a waste of time.

Great resort. Super small but suited my needs. The beach was right there, no walking needed. There are a bunch of wellness activities throughout the week. I stayed Monday through Friday. Some activities were a stretch class, Mexican bead work, Spanish language class through food and culture, glass paintings, and bracelet making. Food was great, especially Ro Marley for breakfast and lunch. I recommend adding a fried egg to your chillaquiles. Banana pancakes and yogurt are great. Ceviche is amazing and maduros, healthy bowl. Basically ate everything.

If you are looking for an all inclusive with excellent service, great food, and great drinks this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a hotel close to the beach and walking distance to some shops and restaurants where you can eat, this is the place for you. They have 3 restaurants with rotating schedules therefore most of the time they only have 2 open at a time. If you are a foodie and love all inclusive’s because you want to try a variety of food, this place is not the place for you. You need reservations for dinner and if it happens to be a busy night where you could not get a reservation, your only option will be a limited room service menu for a fee. Be prepared to wait long periods of time to get your drinks ordered, let alone your food. This place is extremely understaffed with chefs and waiters even though their restaurants are small. We did appreciate that the rooms were modern and clean. This hotel has so much potential!!

my only problem was with the all inclusive food quality was just ok and restaurants were not always open and or included in the all inclusive so confusing! beach menu had items on it one day and the next the same item is not available for us… just too confusing the hotel provided fresh grilled seafood which was not included in an all inclusive option the staff seemed confused as well I would recommend and stay again hope they fix the situation with the all inclusive

Nevertheless we enjoyed our weekend and were thankful for amazing service off the resort. Cute little beach two. Be weary of locals trying to scam you out over charge you.

Pleasant property with huge well appointed rooms and fabulous bathrooms! Easy walk into town to try different restaurants and cafés and shop (we did not choose the all inclusive option). A long, walkable beach. The secret of this place if you like activities is Gustavo, a one-man band who teaches yoga, pilates, art classes making bracelets, wall-hanging and painted frames, leads bike trips...and more! His friendliness and energy really transformed our stay.

At the time I booked, the ad for this property was misleading regarding \"all-inclusive.\" The information said the property was all inclusive, did not specify that the booking would not be all inclusive and nothing said I was unable to book my stay as all inclusive through Expedia and would need to pay extra to the property for this.

After bokking, I called the property directly to confirm the details of my stay. They said that my booking was NOT all inclusive and to add that would be $150/day per person.

At the time of our stay, the property only had 2 restaurants open. It is well located for walking into town (10-15 min) to MANY great local food establishments. We skipped adding the all inclusive option and are glad we did. We purchased food/ drinks from the Romarly Beach Club and were disappointed. We sampled most of the drinks on the menu and found even the simplist were poorly executed and not worth the purchase. The food was just servicable.

The property and rooms are very clean.

The property is beautiful/ the boutique size is a real benefit. We really enjoyed the beach area and rooftop pool, as well as sand volleyball.

The room we booked included a kitchenette. Upon arrival we found there was an additional charge to turn on the stove. Also, the room AC runs continuously at 63 degrees unless you ask them to come turn off the power to it.

The Fives at Puerto Morelos was a lovely place to stay. Very clean, the staff were attentive and courteous and the location is very walkable to the rest of town. The in house restaurant has decent food, but the service was very chaotic on the evening we ate there. We ordered 1 salad and 2 entrees. My partners entree arrived quickly, but it was another half hour before the salad and my entree arrived after we asked a couple of times. Could have been a one off thing that evening, but we ate in and around town for the rest of our stay. Lots of great food locally.

The room was not up to any standard as the toilet did not work, no hot water, fridge did not work and trying to communicate with the staff was terrible as they just did not seem to care or listen. The communication barrier was terrible for a hotel that has mostly English speaking guest. They need a manager to train all the staff

My sister and I stayed at The Fives in Oct. '24. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was beautiful and on a gorgeous part of the beach. It is in walking distance to the square but at the end of the street so it is quiet.

The hotel staff were all amazing! So friendly and accommodating! And I would highly recommend using the spa if you have the chance. It is beautiful and the massages were some of the best we have ever had.

I hope to get the chance to return there at some point!

Property was very nice and clean. The occupancy was low, there were not all dining options open for entire trip. We bought the all inclusive option, it was limited. Staff seemed stretched and limited, there was a tropical storm that came through. They were very nice in spite of this. We would stay again.. Only one pool open, roof top infinity pool/bar restaurant closed for repair.

We were having an excellent experience. People like Andres in the Romarley restaurant made our stay incredibly special. The food is nice and the place is beautiful.

Nevertheless staying there feels like a teenager staying at their parents' house. I invited a friend over to co-work and I was made to pay around $100 to grant her access to the hotel and despite being very clear we would work, and they have no suitable working space so we would be in my room to take some zoom calls, they came upstairs to insist that she should not be allowed in my room at all.

Additionally, they provide no support in day care or recommending nannies, and when hiring a nanny to take care of your kids you will also be made to pay a fee. Basically they do not state this anywhere but if you go to this hotel you can forget about having guests unless you want a very harsh treatment and to be made to pay and still be harassed about it.

Traveled with my two children! They enjoyed themselves! We were there durning the hurricane so we experienced lights out for a few, but the staff did a great job at accommodating the guest. My son left his beats headphones in the room on bed when we went for dinner. To notice that the headphones were stolen by house keeping! The situation was reported but no one was held accountable nor was I reimbursed. I was pretty disappointed. Not sure if I will return after this situation.

The property is over rated the room had flies the room didn’t seem to be cleaned that well the sheets had stains and there was a moldy smell in the room. The food wasn’t good portions were small and food was below average. There was no activity’s to do very boring vibe. Overall, The Fives Beachfront was a wonderful experience and plan to be back.
Room cleaning service could be improved, such as cleaning on a timely schedule without having to ask a few times.
Hugo, Moises in the restaurant area, Brian at the beach area and Angel at reception area deserve our compliments. They were very attentive and hard working folks.

2nd visit here based on the first visit. The property is amazing and the wait staff is incredible. Something has occurred in the last 9 months where the property seems to be Management heavy. Polite every day until you express a concern and then you seem to be invisible to them and you are no longer the same valued guest. Our ‘package’ was not explained at check in and come to find out we had a ‘meal plan’. An additional guest joined, and while the room capacity was 6 we were charged additional fees yet the additional guest did not get the same ‘meal plan’.
I would stay again because of the wait staff, tet the Management Team needs a refresh. Lots of folks standing around watching the workers with a cell phone in hand - offer ZERO assistance to staff or guests. Unfortunately disappointed in this stay.
