The entire property is under construction. Scaffolding when you arrive. LOUD ALL THE TIME!. Got rid of the sit down dinner/breakfast and completed an enclosed restaurant that is not 5 stars yet they charge 45+ for dinner mains. Buffet breakfast 34.50! Average glass of decent wine 18. 4, yes 4 outdoor dinner seats because of construction. No one said anything about an automatic 15% tip fee on room service YET we tipped heavy because all of the workers seemed unhappy with the changes. And, no cash! Charge to credit card or room ONLY! WHAT? Everyday, I went to the front desk for tip change yet we were already getting charged. And I have recepits that show no automatic tip! Just when we checked out did we get hit for automatic tips; that's manipulating your guests. We are repeat guests but will not be back. Kudos to our housekeeper, Sonia! Fernando at the pool was spectacular!

Went for a wedding. The hotel is ok. One of the elevators broke down so it made getting to and from your room very difficult with the amount of people coming in and out. The restaurant was ok. Food was subpar. Pool was nice and it’s open 24/7 which was cool but the amenities were just ok. The beach is a public beach so you have locals coming and going. Location is ok as well. Nice to be 10 mins from the airport. My major complaint and room for improvement is the grounds of the hotel. They could really improve on the upkeep of the property. But we were there a few days for a wedding so odds we will not be staying again.

Check-in was quick, easy and helpful, especially when adding extra rooms and nights to our stay. Amenities were great such as multiple restaurants and bars, valet parking, on-site casino, chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Direct access to the beach. The Gym and Outdoor pool are both open 24 hrs. Heated pool is a plus. Recommend definitely for a hassle-free vacation experience.

The beach was wonderful and the food was good. My favorite was the café colado. I absolutely loved the coffee.

I believe areas to improve would be housekeeping. Our room got cleaned only once. We ran out of soap and toilet tissue and had to go to the front desk.

Poor customer service when I checked in, they did not give me my bracelets to show that me and my family were staying at the resort. I was embarrassed at the pool and asked do I belong there then I was proceeded to be mocked by someone who’s not even security. He works and hands out towels. The next day My Son was told he could not go inside the hotel to use the restroom because he did not have a shirt on and he is only 11. I have to see multiple grown men and other children walk around the hotel lobby without a shirt. There were bugs in the rooms that ate me and my children up.

A beautiful upscale property with excellent amenities, facilities and service. Be prepared to pay for “upscale” with a daily resort fee and a daily parking fee for self-park or valet service. Great food choices on site. Utilized the pool, restaurants, room service, beach amenities, swim up bar, and indoor and outdoor bars. Towels provided. Casino on site attracts locals for a lively experience. Quiet and convenient location with a beautiful beach. Would stay again. Personally, would not bring young children to this property, suggest age 10 and up.

Beautiful hotel , unfortunately the hot tub was with cloudy water one of them, no go, the other hot tub people coming from the beach were instructed to clean their feet full of sand on the hot tub because the showers were not working and I was in the hot tub quickly got out too many people cleaning their feet full of sand,Customer service on the dinning area outside some were good and some were a little bit on the poor manners side.
Location is great, food not too expensive, great mojitos, the hotel has a lot of construction but not affecting the guests.

Great stay ….. room was great with ocean view … 1 day was upgraded to suite room with full ocean view .. staff was kind and helpful .. accommodated in every way possible . Definitely a 5 star property . Beach in walkable distance from the same hotel building and pool for kids / adults / pool bar / hot tub /pool . There is small casino inside the hotel . Restaurant and room service all are top notch and prices are very affordable for the food .

The only downside is that this is a no-cash hotel; everything is charged to the room or to a card. The only exception is the casino.

Correction: second, there are no microwaves in the rooms for travelers to warm up leftovers.

I didn’t like that is was under a 22million dollar renovation construction. And I was not notified when I booked my family vacation. If I wanted to be on a job site I would’ve stayed home and made money.

That huge piece of information that the hotel resort was under construction should have been relayed. So when I pull up to the resort, their scaffolding wood people working on, it wasn’t too inviting

Un dia compramos fruta para llevarnos a un tour, la compre subimos al carro y empece a comer y salió mal la fruta sabía caducada, y no había tiempo ya para regresar. La piscina no la vi muy limpia, no se si hay otras habitaciones mejores, pero la de pista parcial al mar no la recomiendo

Do NOT stay at Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort. The “oceanfront” room was not oceanfront at all. The room smelled like mildew, had mold in the air unit, peeling paint on the balcony, and dust and hair all over the floors. The floors were so dirty when you wiped them the rag was black. We checked in and wanted to leave immediately because it was so dirty, outdated, unsafe for my children and they still charged us for one night. This is not a resort experience. Avoid at all costs.

We had a great time at this hotel. There were always plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available. The pool area was nice. We weren’t very prepared for how expensive everything is, so check out the menus ahead of time and be prepared. You may want to head to the store when you get here and stock up on drinks and snacks.

It’s in a very walkable area, where you can be at great restaurants and bars in a 15 minute walk. Service in the lobby bar is outstanding.

Fernando at the towel hut was the best thing about the whole resort! How could anyone be grumpy when he’s around!? Love you, Fernando! You’re fabulous!

Construction was being done on the same floor I was on it was very noisy. I’m not happy about that Expedia should have been aware of this.

Room 622 did not have a number outside the door like the other rooms. This seemed odd. I would love to know the reason behind this. it looked like someone snatched it off the wall.

Great location. Walked to many restaurants. Loved how it was right on the beach. The pool was never busy and it was not hard to find a chair. The pool could have been cleaned more though. Fernando, at the towel area, was the best! He made our stay so much more enjoyable. Hotel food and drinks were a little pricey, but that’s expected. Closest to the airport so expect to hear planes while outside, but it didn't bother us at all. Overall, great place to stay and we would stay here again.

Stayed 4 days/3 nights for my husband’s bday and overall were disappointed. Hotel was clean, modern and on the beach, but many issues negatively impacted our stay.

First, we were surprised by a $150 incidental fee not disclosed on Expedia. There was also active construction, which was not mentioned on Expedia beforehand. Our 2nd-floor room faced pipes/work areas and workers were outside our balcony at 8am daily, making it difficult to rest. We were woken up twice at 2am and 3am by loud intercom announcements repeating “0-0-0”. We were also placed in a connecting room unknowingly, with a young baby next door, who cried at the night, further causing us to lose sleep.

The beach was beautiful, clean and private. We appreciated the included chairs, umbrellas and towels. However, non-hotel guests were allowed on the private beach. Some played loud music, taking away from the quiet atmosphere we expected.

Service was inconsistent throughout the stay. Housekeeping missed our first 2 days until we called. Staff at outdoor restaurant, Veranda Meso, were often inattentive and service/food availability was inconsistent. The breakfast buffet felt overpriced $36/pers and did not include all advertised items. The cafe closed earlier than posted hours or would not make certain drinks due to time of day on multiple occasions .

For $350/night, we expected better communication, consistency and service. The hotel did not provide the relaxing, restful experience we hoped on our vacation.

We couldnt check in on time. They downgraded our room in order to check in on time, and no compensation for this. They forgot the pack and play we requested and we had to call down 5 separate times to get it. They said they had one and then they didnt. They also had very loud construction going on with sawing during breakfast.

Restaurant Meso was disappointing. My lettuce had small flies, and even after informing the waiter, there was no discount or real resolution. I definitely recommend going outside the hotel for food instead.

Otherwise, everything else was great. The hotel is very comfortable, accommodating, and easy to navigate. Ubers are also super convenient.

The staff were wonderful - always pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful.
The front desk and pool attendants are stocked with bug spray - take advantage of this!
Apparently Marriott and I had some differences of opinion on what constitutes an oceanfront room. I paid for and expected a full oceanfront room, but got an ocean view room, overlooking a roof. That was very disappointing.
