Pool is small but most welcome for unwinding after travel or to start the days off. Steam room and sauna enhance the experience. Unattended nature of pool not ideal for young or lone swimmers.
Fitness suite is adequate for a simple workout and equipment modern and working well. Altogether a great asset to the hotel and one of the main reasons we booked.

Room was warm, due to it being quadruple glazed. Stopped outside noise though and room was spotless. Toilet is in separate room which is great apart from no sink in there so have to walk around the room to wash your hands. Breakfast was your typical middle class buffet breakfast, good but not exceptional. Really nice hotel in a really great location. Bout 5 minute walk from Paddington station and within a business area so no noise after 6pm. Receptionists were really cheerful and helpful. Will defo stay again.

They accommodated an early check-in and that was lovely after a red eye. They had 24 hour menu and the food was amazing for jet lag. Arman was very nice and helpful. Such a great experience. The hotel was walking distance from paddington station. The room was comfortable and the shower was great! Overall we will go back if we get the opportunity to travel to London again!

Spacious (for London) clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet. Large TV. Tasty food in the restaurant. Nicely located with healthy inexpensive food options and Little Venice nearby, and of course Paddington station. Small frig but no microwave. Bathroom needs a redo, cramped, water soaking the floor after showering, faucet awkwardly placed, not enough towel bars, and I had to fix the drain plug. No outlets in the bathroom nor near the beds. Mattresses mediocre. But a decent value overall.

Very disappointed.
I paid more for this hotel in between a busy weekend with an early shift. The .ain reason to use the pool and relax for 12 hours.
I found the staff unhelpful and rude. The pool was closed with no prior warning

Room was not clean as we found pubes all over the shower, bath and event the bed. We asked for a room for two adults and two kids. I wouldn’t be happy to stay in there for one adult let alone the rest of the family as it was far too small and cramped. Staff did not make us feel welcome from the start and when asked if we could possibly use a microwave to sterilise our babies bottles, they ignored me on multiple occasions

After travelling to England via LHR, I decided to pick a hotel near the Heathrow express at Paddington.
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and surrounding area.
The surrounding area has some very nice restaurants and food choices. You can even have a drink on a boat in a canal.
From there you can easily walk to Paddington station to access the tube or you can walk to Hyde park, Oxford st and other great sites in London if you are fit.
Now for the hotel, it is very strange to be greeted by reception sitting at an office desk but its these little differences that make the Novotel excellent. The staff are wonderful and took my bag for storage so I could go to work.
When I came back, my room was ready and the bags arrived with no issue
The room was very clean, spacious and the shower was awesome. The room was quiet and I got a great sleep.
When I woke up I went to the gym and jumped in the pool. I didn't have time for a dry or wet sauna (next time).
Then I went for breakfast. What a pleasure this was. I was greeted as I arrived at the breakfast area and directed where to sit. The selection of food was excellent. The concierge came over to check on each of the guests to make sure everyting was all right. And it was genuine.
I recommend you staying here for the convenience, the experience and the staff

Great location. Close to Paddington Station with trains and Underground. Staff, Oumaima and Johanes, were very helpful at 12am when I lost my cellphone.
Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having a kettle to make tea or coffee in the morning. Was easy to get to Heathrow Airport from Paddington Station.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

a great place to stay. close to paddington station and very easy to get to once you kinda have a lay of the land. lots of stuff for tourists and locals alike. about a 15 minute walk to hyde park. there were 3 of us and we stayed for 5 nights. one queen bed for me and my husband and a sofa bed for my sister. the front desk staff was so welcoming and helpful. the restaurant staff was very attentive. and the cleaning people! they went above and beyond to make us comfortable! they anticipated our needs and seemed to learn the way we slept (my husband needs two blankets, i need one, my sister needed extra pillows). we went on a day trip to paris and came back to our room immaculately set up the way we liked and they gave us extra peppermint tea! major shout out to them! if i had a gripe it would only be that the room itself could use a little upkeep. there were old stains on the carpet, a little mold in the shower and a little piece of the shower nozzle kept falling off but nothing that would keep us from coming back for another trip.

First of all, communication can be done through WhatsApp once checked in, which is an introvert's dream come true, not having to speak with anyone. The hotel is conveniently located near Paddington Station. There are places to eat within a short walk of the hotel. Daily house cleaning available and free water on request. The only thing I did seem impractical was that the showers and sink was in one room and the toilet was in another room, it was odd. Staff was lovely and helpful

Check in was good. The restaurant is ok. The shower door didn’t / does not seal and water leaks on to the floor and carpet in the sleeping area.
The carpet is stained and curtains are stained .

Sound proofing is very good.

The location of the hotel is convenient to Paddington station and restaurants & shops.

Nice stay but a few misses

Room was clean but outdated: no plugs near bed and the aircon was ancient. It was warm in the room when we came in and it took ages for it to cool when you turn the air con on. Bed was comfortable. Very strange toilet was separate from the bath/shower. Breakfast was nice, but no porridge on offer. Pool was small but perfect for the little one, although you had to turn on the sauna yourself and wait for it to heat up.

Beautiful Lobby, But Rooms Need Serious TLC

Check-in was unusual – I was asked to sit at a table rather than a reception desk. The staff were lovely but the process felt clinical. I didn’t book an accessible room, but that was all that was available; I was given a drinks voucher for the inconvenience but not sure whether it was to do more, so with the fact that I said I was there to attend a big content creator event.

No info was provided about the pool, restaurant, or luggage storage unless I asked. But at least they tried to grab some more money by offering me breakfast.

Room 408 was disappointing. I have never felt dirty walking into a hotel room until I stayed here. Yellow ripped wallpaper, dusty curtains/netting, a CREEPY picture above the bed, a rusty bathroom, a kettle straight from 2004, a huge non-smart TV with a sticky remote to go with it ofc added to the grimy feel.

The bed was mid, no sockets near it, and despite being accessible, the space felt cramped in areas.
Facilities were okay, but small. I chose not to use them, but at least the changing rooms looked cleaner.

The saving grace is the location – pedestrianised, felt safe, near shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, the canal, and Paddington Station. Lobby and public spaces are beautiful, modern, and clean.

The morning staff were lovely on the 25th of August.

Overall, better suited for business travellers/families. Fine for a short stay if you’re out and about, but I wouldn’t stay here to relax. I wouldn’t pay over £120/night for the rooms.

Fantastic location

The hotel is really lovely.
The rooms beds bathrooms are all very nicely set out.
Very nice restaurant and bar if you want to stay in the hotel but there is an abundance of eateries all around the hotel.
There’s a gym and swimming pool but we didn’t use them.
Situated just next door to Paddington station so you can literally get to anywhere from there.
Beautiful walk along the canal and there are eateries on the barges too.
Can’t find a single fault.

My biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning. I don't understand how an 11 story building doesn't have air conditioning. There are windows but being so close to the Paddington station there are trains going in and out all night and there was construction in the area 24/7. And even with the window open, there just isn't any cross ventilation.

Amazing hotel!

Charles was extremely helpful with our check-in! He gave us much needed information on the area as well as tips for traveling to the airport by train. He also gave us information about a restaurant we had heard about in the area. Ironically, we went to the restaurant for lunch, but ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and we LOVED it! Great food - the chef obviously knows what he's doing! We'd eat there even if it was located in our home town. Added bonus - they even had a workbook titled \"Sleep\" to help travelers with issues affecting their sleep hygiene. This is a workbook that I would pay for, no doubt! We wish there was a Novotel everywhere we travel!

Great property. Centrally located and an easy 10 minute walk from Paddington. Friendly staff. They cared well for guests and ensured safety. Food on site was convenient and yummy. Music in the lobby was a bit loud and our shower leaked. Parts of our shower and room fell down, like the curtains but those were minor complaints to an otherwise wonderful stay. Would stay again.

The hotel is not too far from the train station, good transport to the city. While when we were checking at the hotel at 2:55pm (checking time was at 3pm), the guy who worked at the receiption, intentionaly delay our checking knowing that we arrived from internation, leaving us to sit there for more than 20 min (imagine after long flight) while he was disapeared from the desk, we have to recheck with another staff to see what was going on, apperantely he was doing handover his shift... That is not a very professional behavier! Dissappointed!!

The hotel is in a great spot, near Paddington station and by the canal. It was clean and we had good service. The restaurant area was modern, but the rooms are getting a bit dated. It was nice to pop to the pool and sauna but it is small, so difficult to use for much more than a dip once anyone else was there.

We were in an unrenovated room. Odd to have toilet separate with no basin, but mostly the room was fine; clean and quiet.

The biggest issue; the bed and pillows. The mattress was too soft (old), and the pillows really couldn’t be called pillows. They were comprised of lumpy bits covered by a pillowcase; absolutely no support at all.

Great hotel. Stay every time we got to London. Convenient for onward travel & sightseeing but not as noisy with being away from many roads.
It's being renovated at the moment so not all rooms done, but still comfortable.
The bar/restaurant area is lovely. Breakfast was a full range of hot & cold foods & drinks.
Swimming pools, sauna & steam room was great to use after a day of walking around the city.
Staff are very friendly, helpful & professional. Always ready to answer any questions.
