Room was clean, but LOUD! Very dated decor, and the complete opposite to the rest of the hotel. I could hear the traffic and the building work outside, as well as people running up and down the corridor.

That said, lobby and gym were amazing and staff were incredible. This was a one-night business stay, so it was fine, but any longer would have been a big issue.

Check-in was fast and smooth. The room is small but reasonably spacious. The bed is comfortable, daily bottled water was replenished, and the view from the window was excellent.

Soundproofing is weak: noises from the corridors are clearly audible, and sounds from other rooms can also be heard. Hot water in the bathtub consistently ran out after approximately 14 minutes (I timed it). When I contacted the front desk to ask whether hot water was limited, they seemed surprised and said an engineer would be sent, but the issue was never resolved. There was also a periodic smell of urine coming from the floor drain in the bathroom.

The hotel kindly surprised me with a birthday cake, which was a nice gesture. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, while lunch was less impressive. The lobby café is excellent.

I would consider staying here again, but only after confirming that the bathroom issues have been properly resolved.

The property is good. Great service and staff. The breakfast buffet was very nice and worth it. The hotel’s restaurant was closed for the evenings and there is a lack of restaurant choices around the property. The location is away from downtown and very poor public transport around the hotel area to the main city. We had to depend on taxis every time.

Wonderful lodging in Dubai

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Arjaan. They were even able to accommodate our 8am arrival. The hotel is located right on the tram line next to the Media City stop. It is also easy to find at night because it is not clustered near other towers and has a pair of jewel like blue domes on top at night.

The service was fantastic, quickly answering our every request and ensuring my family and I had a memorable trip.

We purchased the breakfast rate, which was money well spent. The breakfast buffet has influences from America, Britain, India, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Our deluxe rooms had a view of the Gulf, the Palm Jumeirah, and the Burj Al Arab. The April breezes were a treat when sitting out on the balcony. Everything was clean with plenty of room, and daily housekeeping even though it is an “hotel apartment.”

The atrium was gorgeous, and the pool made you feel like you were in an advertisement.

We loved it and you will too.

Lovely hotel with large apartments giving fabulous views plus excellent staff. However, the swimming pool and area was dominated by hordes of pre-school children mostly without any supervision from parents or child-minders.The Arjaan is located on two main roads, one being a three lane highway choked with traffic so expect plenty of noise 24/7 add to that construction all around the hotel which also continues 24/7.

The most amazing stay I've had in a Non-Resort type hotel. The staff was amazing especially Hannah at the front desk. Was upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt for free and given an early check in at no additional cost. There is construction going on at the hotel but I didn't hear anything except construction crews in the surrounding areas of the hotel which was minimal. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's away from the HubBub of Dubai and right next to many attractions ie. Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Rd, Ibn Battuta Mall and so much more. If you're not sure whether to stay here or somewhere else, stop wasting time and book this hotel now.

Great hotel with lovely spacious apartments.

This is the fourth time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and it won’t be the last. The apartments are spacious and clean. The dining area has been completely refurbished and is excellent. The breakfast provided was great. The pool area is really good, with lots of sun beds, and offers a great view of the sea and the Palm from the pool deck. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made our stay all the more enjoyable. There is a tram stop (and also bus stops) right outside the hotel, which makes travelling to the Marina, Jumeirah Beach Walk, and the Palm very quick and easy. All in all we had an excellent holiday and look forward to returning soon.

This was a business trip (media sector) for two nights. The hotel location was ideal, next to Media city and close the big media agency offices in Knowledge Village and surrounding areas.
The hotel was clean, service very friendly, and I was upgraded to a large three bed apartment.
Breakfast was good, and the use of the gym and pool added to the stay.
My key issue was Wifi. The 'premium' service really was that. £40 for two days, and it didn't work well at all. I was working from my room at times but really struggled to even send emails. Very frustrating, and ridiculously priced.
The hotel lacks any real variety of dining options, and there is no bar area.

This is an older more dated hotel for Dubai standards and it definitely could do with some refurbishment. The service was good and the pool area was nice and completely sunny - a big plus for Dubai hotels. Limited F&B options in the restaurant, and it is quite a maze to actually get to the hotel via road. There are better Rotana's.

They offer excellent variety of home delivery food within 30 minutes of call.

A very comfortable apart'hotel in Media city. My colleague and I were both upgraded to double-room apartment, quite a nice space indeed with 3 bathrooms, a nice kitchen and living room.
All the amenities are there, for a dry hotel. The breakfast was pretty good as well.

I stayed at the Arjaan by Rotana from 14Nov to 24 Nov 2014 to catch up with a friend who was also staying there whilst looking for a place to live as she was moving to Dubai.

It clearly is great to have an apartment to stay in when your stay is longer than a week allowing to to buy and cook your own food and wash your clothes if you wish. The Arjaan Media city offers very good value for an apartment hotel. It location next to the tram which joins with the metro means travel to main Malls is easy.

I found the staff very attentive and service oriented. When I went to the pool I did not like the piped loud music and when I asked they turned it down t my request. The hotel also surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday which was a lovely touch and offered me an inclusive wifi deal for the whole of my stay even though they started it three days into my stay.
My only negative was the hotel kept offering me their hotel taxi which is double the rate of the city taxi. They quoted me 50 dirhams to go to the palm Atlantis and I paid 22 using an ordinary taxi. This is only value for money when travelling from and to the airport as you go exactly at the time you want and the transport is by 4 wheel large vehicle and in my opinion worth the extra cost

This was a nice hotel and our room was very pleasant. We got an upgrade so we had more space than we knew what to do with. I felt breakfast was rather overpriced and there was no where near by to get anything else. However we did have a kitchen so we could make our own. Over all this was very pleasant and the staff we very helpful. The biggest downside for me, was that it was a long way to anywhere. The Walk at JBR is really nice, but it is a half hour walk, and because of the traffic, it takes a similar length of time in a taxi. It is about a 20 minute walk from the metro station. Its also a significant taxi journey to any of the other attractions in Dubai. However, as Dubai it so spread out anyway, maybe this would have been an issue regardless of where we would have stayed.

We booked in a 1 week stay in this hotel and upon arrival. My first impression was WOW!!!.
The location, the staff and the room itself was well worth the price.

The filipino staff was very helpful, always smiling and is always ready to offer assistance.

One of my highlights was the honesty of one of the cleaners, I think his name was Khan. He found some cash from one of the trash bags that came from our suite. He knocked with a smile on his face and said you have thrown some cash with your receipts. I have never experienced this before abroad and his honesty and loyalty deserves some incentives to stay the least.

Tip: Request a room from the 17th floor and higher. Try to ask for the room facing the Burj Al Arab or ask for the one facing the Palm Jumeira.

The Arjaan is located in DMC, and ideally one will need to have a car to easily get around. Calling a taxi might take a good 15 minutes. That said, Marina is merely 5 min away, MoE 10 min.

Rooms are super spacious, and the bed comfort is hard to match. They have a good pool area in the hotel, as well. That said, do not count on the hotel for proper dining options - this is better to be had outside.

The one big downside is the hotel staff. Whilst under normal circumstances this will not bother a traveler (check-in, ... check-out), if push comes to shove and you need sthg, this can be bothersome. It is a mix of being under-staffed and disorganized that e.g. let's them make you wait for 30min to send someone with a reactivated key to your room....

That said - still a great hotel if apartments are what you need. And they are not shy to give you nice upgrades should occupancy allow so.

Beautiful Holiday and Amazing Hotel!!

Me and my family stayed here and we would definitely recommend staying here! A beautifully kept hotel, the staff especially Faizal looked after us as soon as we arrived and throughout our stay here making us feel very welcome and at home. He helped us to check in early and booked us into an amazing hotel room with stunning views of the skyscrapers, the sea and the palm!! The Breakfast buffet was very tasty with a great variety of food and fresh fruit - definitely worth it! The hotel room was perfect - big and spacious and the balconies were amazing! The beds were also nice and comfortable and the hotel is in a good location so you can just stroll down to the marina. A big thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay so enjoyable - especially to Faizal, John and Ni for looking after us so well!
