Our excellent experience started at checkin. My family and I were warmly welcomed and checked in. The hotel location and main entry is expansive and relaxing. Arriving at the Copenhagen Marriott was a welcome relief after staying at an older hotel in London. Everything was fresh,new and upscale. The rooms were perfect for a family of 5, comfortable beds and great city view. The location was perfect for seeing Copenhagen - close to train and Metro stations.

Breakfast was decent the scrambled eggs to runny and the bacon way under cooked. But lots of variety to pick from.

Room was decent. Smaller than a normal double bed room. But good size for Europe.

Good bathroom and shower.
Our bathroom sink had a leak so other than it was useable. We just wrapped tissue around the bottom to keep water from getting everywhere.

2 of us but only 1 gown & 1 pairs of slippers were provided.
Dirty cups were left in the room without ever being cleaned, 3 days!
Linen trolley left in front of our room most of the stay!
Restaurant staff refused to let us sit in the boot seats and breakfast table we wish to sit on! Restaurant was half empty!
Breakfast for last day were not packed for early morning departure as requested (very poor service)
A friendly smile was hard to find with service staff!

The bar, restaurant and cleaning staff was excellent, the bar staff ensured I learned about some of the local things to do while Efi at breakfast was friendly and welcoming and to the the cleaning staff - Sandra always made sure my room was immaculate. Great stay. Good location if you like to swim or run though it’s far from central attractions by comparison. Overall the stay was fine but I did notice the spa area wasn’t well cleaned or maintained (often flooded) and there was poor security (when I asked for a new key twice no one checked my ID). F&B is fine and reliable but not very inventive or Danish. Coffee in lobby was often cold and guests should be given access to the espresso machine / not have to pay for it.

Bikes are convenient but very overpriced. Many conferences and things happen there so lobby is often busy.

First morning I some to a gurgling toilet and a bowl full of someone else's \"waste.\" Staff cleaned it promptly but every morning it gurgled again although it just made the water drain slowly or sometimes water came up through the sink drain. However, for the price, I should have plumbing that works.

Hotel was very well located and very good breakfast buffet. The condition of our room, floor, and lobby was dated and worn and need of refurbishment (eg . Bathroom sink had huge crack and tub/shower needed a step ladder for access). Surprised this the case for a premium brand (and pricing) in a major European capital city.

My mother fell and slipped in the bathtub and hit her head on the bathroom floor. There anti slip in the tub had been so worn out that the bathtub was very slippery. There was no handle bar you could hold on to when stepping outside the tub making this especially difficult for senior citizens. My mother had bump the size of a baseball. When she first fell and screamed from the bathroom, I called the receptionist to help me call for a doctor. NO ONE was answering the phone for 10mins straight. After assisting my mom, I had to walk down and call the attention of the front desk.

The people at the front desk said they don't have a private doctor on call and explained to me that Denmark is a socialist country so calling a doctor would be very difficult to do. When I asked for ice, there was no effort or assistance, they merely said there is an ice machine in every floor.

My mother is fine but what happened if it was a real emergency. The hotel manager the next day was the only one very helpful to us and suggested we move to a different floor with a shower rather than a bath tub.

If you want an American style hotel when you travel in Europe, this hotel is for you. Aside from the sauna facilities adjacent to the gym, you cam find this hotel in any large American city. Large, modern rooms with two beds, good for families. A warning - Denmark is an expensive country and all the food and beverage pricing will shock you as compared to the US. It's about a 1 KM walk to the main square in front of city hall, slightly less to the train station. If the weather is good, walk to the hotel if you are coming by train and have light luggage.

My stay at this hotel as a Bonvoy member was a mix of frustration and a few redeeming moments.

Upon arrival, after a 10-hour trip with my family, I was exhausted. Despite having requested early check-in, the receptionist was unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate. After insisting, I was finally given a room—but not according to my profile preferences, which I have consistently detailed over my years as a Marriott member. Her attitude was rude and unkind, making an already tiring experience worse.

Thankfully, Ms. Mishelle stepped in. She was professional, attentive, and made an effort to expedite our check-in, ensuring we could rest before our scheduled events. She was the only reason the situation improved. she made up!

Unfortunately, the room we were given had serious issues. The air conditioning wasn’t working, making the room unbearably hot. The toilet wasn’t functioning properly, and the water pressure in the shower was extremely low in both of the rooms we booked. These issues made it difficult to rest and freshen up.

To make matters worse, I didn’t receive any of the usual membership benefits I enjoy in the U.S. I felt like a second-class guest—except for the service provided by Ms. Mishelle. After two nights, she arranged for a move to a supposedly “newly remodeled” room. However, this room was smaller, had contemporary furniture I didn’t like, and didn’t feel like an upgrade at all.

Nice location on river, but a bit tired hotel

We were in Copenhagen for a football match. We stayed in the Marriott as on the river and between bars we have previously used (!). Check in was efficient. They said room upgrade as Marriot member. The hotel appeared quite tired and need of a full refurb. We had a drink at the bar in lobby. Nice area there. Sit outside and watch the boats on the river. The room was ok. Two queen beds. Shower wasn’t very strong. Curtain in bath type shower.
The revolving door into the hotel needs attention. Every person was seeing it stop half way and then it would start and stop. Maybe sensing issues.
Usual question - Would we stay there again - it’s a Yes.

There were some good points like a location of the hotel and a nice lobby and bar. Unfortunately we also found some weak points like old furnished and equipped room, empty minibar, no water provided to the room and other small things like one bathrobe for two people and one very small cream for two people for 4 days. Immediately after the arrival the obligatory 2 000 DKK deposit was taken. Generally this 5 star hotel has still a lot to improve.
