The owner and staff were always easily accessible, knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet relaxed atmosphere 10 minutes by train from the old historic part of Lucerne and the train was free. My room looked out over horse pastures which was a great departure for the crowed noisy streets of downtown areas. The chef had over 40 years of experience and the dinners he prepared were delicious. Best place I stayed in three countries.

Great Stay, Awesome Service!

Great Stay, about 7-8 mins walk to the nearest Hbf/Bahnhof (train + bus). Room was adequate as well as the bathroom! Tap water is fresh and clean (as much as in most, if not all parts of Switzerland - otherwise said). Temperature control on the water pressure is fantastic, you can get really cold water or really hot water if you wanted the extremes. Bed comfy for two, TV great. Breakfast was good, just your regular cold cuts, bread, yogurt, juice/coffee, fruits, hard boiled eggs! delicious!

Otherwise, comfortable stay! however just a future recommendation (for summer time especially and maybe winter) but a ice machine for the guest to get some delicious ice in a small insulated cooler (for each room)? since there is no A/C (only a small portable fan which is better than nothing) and no individual fridge (which both of these are not evident in many hotels). The ice would be very refreshing in the summer time!

The room was nice but we seemed to be a distraction for the staff as they tried to run the restaurant. You have to walk through part of v the dining area to get to the rooms which makes things difficult when they are full. After driving to get to the hotel, they were not willing to allow us to eat there, starting they were full, even though the dining room was empty when we checked in.

Family owned hotel and restaurant was a nice touch. Located just outside of Luzern downtown and reachable by train which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Note the train only comes once an hour so plan accordingly.

Several walkable restaurants nearby. Staff was very accommodating and helpful and provided travel adapters for free.

Breakfast was a nice spread including eggs, cheese, meats and other items. Hotel was very quiet and well kept.

Great base for Luzern and the area.

Mattresses were very poor quality: thin and lumpy. Dinner portions were tiny, and very expensive. No telephone in room to contact reception desk and no safe in room. Bed sheets were of poor quality. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory.

Stayed there for one week. Overall, the room was nice and clean with a hottub, which we didn't expect.

The bed was comfortable but it was made by putting two separate smaller beds side by side. They moved apart when we wanted to sleep close to each other - it may or may not apply to everyone.

There was no air conditioning in the room and we had to use the windows. The property did not have laundry service. Didn't see do jot disturb sign to not clean room on some days, but we may have missed it.

Breakfast was very good. Staff were bery friendly, courteous, and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was good too.

Front desk lady Monica very nice enough to check room and giving early check in at 12 + noon.
Fairly big size room and free WIFI.
No kettle, asked for 1 and was very promptly delivered.

Cons.
Room 304 very close to busy road.
Vehicles can be quite loud but if you are not bothered then ok.
Shower uses shower curtains so water may spill about toilet, a bit annoying but can make do with it.

Hotel is located in littau, not Lucerne. But just a few minutes train which is free anyway. On the other hand you will have the chance to see and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Switzerland. Breakfast was basic but good enough, especially the coffee. Just the breads were not so fresh. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Compared to the Swiss hotels prices, it is a very good deal. I enjoyed my three-day stay very much. Highly recommended.

Amazingly located hotel near Lucerne. Away from the bustle of tourists yet close enough to take a short train ride, which is free anyway!
The owner/manager is a very nice helpful person. Check in was quick and easy. Local information was very useful.
Breakfast is quite good .
Very convenient car park.
All in all, a pleasant experience. Its a very pretty little hotel that you can choose blindly.

The reception was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has spacious room, clean, but our room doesn’t have an air conditioner only a fan on the table. They offer a basic breakfast but all that we needed. They have a good parking area for free. There is also a restaurant on the premises.

Very noisy location and full of flies

No aircondition , no fan in the room. You have to sleep windows closed to reduce the outside noise from cars and trains as the hotel is on a main road. In addition, room poorly equipped as there is no coffe maker, no kettle for making tea, there is even no phone in the room. Bathroom very outdated.
Staff were helpful in providing directions to close by attractions. Restrant was full of flies at time of breakfast. We had to wave with one hand and with ano5her to prevent flies from falling into our food. When told them, they said oh it is normall in this area to have flies! I said yes, but not in a resturant and on the food!

- Around 6 kms from the main city, each time when you arrive here you would have to catch a train which runs every 30 mins to and fro.
- Male staff rude and does not communicate things in advance.
- Breakfast was average.
- Hotel is located on a highway so there is no restaurants nearby except one Arabic Kabab near Littau train station. You would be forced to eat in the hotel if you don't eat something in Lucerne city during evening before catching the train.
- the hotel toilets were not clean when we arrived.
- I would recommend spending some extra money and live in Lucerne if your pocket allows.

Decent place to stay in Lucerne!

Pros - Nice room with modern furniture, and a modern shower/bathroom. They were flexible with check in time, and provided a discount card for cheaper local activities. Free parking, and close to public transport, so that was excellent! Very cost effective for being close to/in Lucerne. Good free breakfast!
Cons - The bed didn't feel too comfortable to me, and it is not near the major attractions in Lucerne (which is why it is probably more economical).

Pleasant quiet location out in country area, with horses next door at a riding arena. Helpful owners, got ride to train station when leaving with luggage. Was a little hard to find when initally off the train. Good variety for breakfast buffet. Excellent quality food, expertly served in restaurant, very expensive though by Canadian prices.

Pleasant location - and reasonable access to Luzerne
Stay not uncomfortable - but expect fairly basic facilities.
Staff not unwelcoming but clearly staff not in a rush to please or give extra. They are there to check you in and out but not much else!
Room = basic. No a/c, phone. Bathrooms - towel, bar of soap but nothing else. Orange bed sheets!
Uninspiring, dull decor, reminiscent of 1970s - early 1980s
Breakfast = dull, and again basic. Little choice / mostly packet food. One cup of coffee - need to ask for.
Value for money = poor, but probably in keeping with Swiss pricing / standards. I.e expensive for what you get compared to other European countries

Hotel in Littau. All ok but nothing special

Good size room in Littau, 10 min train from Lucern (4CHF per person per train journey).

Hotel just off the road but difficult to see name when driving through -we recognised it through the picture-. Modern but no character or theme throughout.
Reception personnel very helpful but this is the only hotel in Switzerland where we weren't given a free local pass to ride train or buses.
Room did not have air conditioning and although the temperature was nice enough,it felt stuffy when we closed the window due to road noise.
Breakfast selection ok and a la carte restaurant expensive as other travellers have said. Train station is around 5 min on foot.

Look elsewhere if you want to sleep at night!

Hotel is located right next to a busy street with a lot of traffic. You will hear every tractor trailer downshifting and every car that passes. Despite closing the windows you will not be able to block out the noise. We did not sleep well at all and the constant noise from the road was annoying.

Hotel has a restaurant however not even an egg was offered to be cooked at breakfast. Minimal effort for breakfast was given by the hotel.

Hotel does not have any fans for use.

Easy access to train station and free parking were positives. But we will not return.

Astounding!

The hotel was a short (five-minute?) walk from the train, and was only a stop away from the Lucerne central train station. The business contains both a hotel and a restaurant in the same building, even though the hotel didn't have a very conspicuous sign.

Once inside, though, I was in heaven. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke English. The entire building seemed brand new and was very clean. The room was huge, had wireless internet, and had electric window blinds. (We visited in May, so the lack of air conditioning was not an issue.) There was not a great deal of furniture (chairs, desks, or tables), but we had plenty of space to lay out our belongings and enjoy the room's simplicity, elegance, and comfort.

Of course, with a restaurant in-house, the breakfast was amazing. There was plenty of fresh fruit, bread, and yoghurt, along with other breakfast staples like sliced meats, boiled eggs, muesli, juice, milk, and coffee. There was also plenty of seating at breakfast, because it was served in the conference room.

I would definitely stay here again.

Maximum comfort stay near Luzerne

The hotel was excellent in all respects. The room was spacious, clean and was in a nice spot away from the hustle and bustle of touristy activity. Ideal to get a feel of the country side. The train to Luzerne is available every 1 hour and during peak hours, twice every hour and so this is not a major negative if things may be planned in advance in my opinion.

It is a nice hotel with nice breakfast and an awarded restaurant, but the problem is it's not in Lucern. If you have a car, then this is fine as it is only 15min drive from center. The problem is if you don't and you rely on the train which runs only every hour and only until midnight. But like I said, it is a perfectly nice hotel with helpful staff.

Good value near Lucerne for those with a car

Stayed at this hotel as a overnight stop between Germany and Lucerne. Rooms were a bit small but a better value than staying in the city. The parking overnight at the hotel was free and we were able to park at the train station while visiting Lucerne the next day before driving to Interlaken. We were a little disappointed in the selection at the included breakfast but the staff was very friendly. I don't think the staff stay overnight so you need to make sure you check in before 9:00 or 10:00 pm.

The room was fine and clean and what I would expect for a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The only problem I had with the room was that it was warm and stuffy but at my request I was provided with a fan that solved the problem. There is an elevator and good WiFi. As an American I find it to be amazing that ice cubes in Europe are almost never available and there is no word in their language for ice cubes.. This hotel had them and for that I give them an extra star. I thought the restaurant was a five star. The atmosphere was top notch and the food was excellent. With this restaurant I found the prices to be high but I found that to be true wherever I went in Switzerland. The walk from the train station with my luggage is a little far but doable. (I'm 85 years old). I think it's about a 10 minute walk. From the the train station it is about a fifteen minute ride to the center of Lucerne which is great. Being out from the city center, this hotel is more reasonably priced. The train runs once an hour at half past the hour and if you have a watch that doesn't keep good time and you want to set it, go to the train station and when the train comes in you can set your watch and be sure that it's half past the hour. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous and spoke very good English. When I am in Lucerne again I will stay at this hotel.

El hotel está sumamente lejos del centro, hay que caminar bastante para el tren y el transporte público, pero la atención de los propietarios es buena, aunque si vas en verano la habitaciones es extremadamente caliente, ya que no cuenta con aire acondicionado y sólo hay un ventilador pequeño, si abres la ventana, se escucha demasiado el ruido de los vehículos y las almohadas son enormes a mi particular, no me gusta porque son muy incómodas. Si puedes invertir un poco más, te recomiendo que gastes en otro lugar.

Gutes Hotel mit zufriedenen Mitarbeitern.

Hotel ist in Ordnung, immer die gleichen Gesichter und Angestellten. Gutes Essen, Kissen sollte verbessert werden. Zimmer sauber und gutes WLAN.

Nur hotels.com hat nicht den Code weitergegeben für den Tresor auch steht nicht auf der hotels.com Website das das Hotel Sonntag und Montag zu hat. Schlechter Service von hotel.com. dazu werde ich noch den Service kontaktieren, zum Glück wohnt die Familie im Haus.

Goed hotel.

Prima hotel alleen de ramen openzetten is niet aan te raden omdat het aan een zeer drukke weg ligt. Helaas was de mail met de lockercode niet aangekomen, maar de eigenaar had ons op cam gezien en stond er een paar minuten later. Alles weer goedgeklede dus. De kamers zijn basic maar prima, zeker voor 1 nacht. Waren op doorreis naar Italië.

Uns hat das Zimmer sehr gefallen. Mit Kerzen und Rosenblätter schön hergerichtet.
Der Whirlpool und die grosse Dusche sind klasse und das Ambiente hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Schade war das es kein Doppelbett war, sondern nur 2 zusammengeschobene Einzelbette und das fehlen eines kleinen Kühlschranks ist auch ein wenig schade, sonst ist nichts zu bemängeln.
Das Essen war Klasse, echt ein Genuss für Gaumen und Seele.
Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, sehr höflich und sehr gastfreundlich.
Die Suite können wir bedenkenlos jedem Paar weiterempfehlen.

ich werde gerne wieder hier buchen

Es war alles bestens,
ich musste von 4 auf drei Übernachtungen verkürzen, das war kulanterweise möglich, werde aber bei nächster Gelegenheit wie zugesagt die Übern. nachholen.
Essen im Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert.

가격대비 매우 괜찮은 숙소입니다.

창이 양쪽으로 난 방이이였는데 방이 넓어 좋았습니다. 시설도 깔끔하고 좋음.거리가 도심과 멀지만 차가 있다면 괜찮은 숙소라고 생각됩니다. 주차장은 레스토랑 앞에 있습니다. 주차장 찾느라 고생했네요. 도로가 앞에있어 밤잠이 예민하신 분이라면 피하시는게 좋을듯.

Espaço limpo e confortável. Apenas um pouco distante da area central de Lucerna mas não foi problema porque estávamos de carro e eles disponibilizam um ticket para usar gratuitamente o transporte que passa na porta.
