This place was honestly absolutely amazing. One of the best places we have stayed. Firstly me and my 2 teenage sons had a bed each, which was brilliant. Our room (the garden room) was huge. The whole place was so full of character, attention to detail was superb, and everything about it was high end and five star quality. It was extremely clean and extremely quiet and it was such a friendly and personal service. I honestly won’t stay anywhere else if we return to Edinburgh.

**In summary,** the property is basically functional and gets the job done for a place to sleep. I stayed at here with my friend, brilliant location for going to see a show at the playhouse. Plenty of places to eat nearby and close enough to walk to the train station. The room was very well presented, clean and comfortable. The host was lovely and very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at 6 Brunton Place. The building itself was grand and impressive with very nice decor.

6 Brunton Place was a step back in time, but with all the subtle amenities and luxuries of modern day! Our host Hillary was impeccable, polite, friendly, and very informative. The breakfasts were superb, well laid out, and beautifully placed. The furnishings were well cared for,. Pieces, and made you feel like you were back in time. The accommodations provided clean and quiet rooms, spacious enough to spread out yet cozy enough to call home for a few days. The heated floor in the bathroom was a bonus! it was a lovely neighborhood, just across from Carlton Hill. was very walkable to all locations, Including the palace of Holyrood house, walking trails, and the city proper.

Spotless. Lovely decor with carefully curated items that evoke earlier times. Bed very comfortable. Robes and toiletries were a pleasure. Enjoyed the tub and separate shower. Breakfast was delicious. The location is only a short walk from Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile. Hosts were congenial and were helpful about a forgotten item.

Initial communication with owner was fine. Room was TINY. Basically walk in and climb into the bed. Parking in the area 30 GBP per night (free on weekends). Breakfast was continental (cereal, fruit, cheese, toast, yogurt, croissants, juice, tea and coffee). Subsequent communication with owner marginal. First night of 3 night stay I asked her to re-list the room for our 3rd night as I wished to leave early but wanted to be sensitive to her bookings. She refused. We ended up leaving a day early and forfeiting the cost of the 3rd night. Our last morning the owner got into a debate with another couple about storing their luggage for 3 hours while they sightseed a bit prior to pickup by a tour company. That should have been a no brainer in the hospitality business. The owner eventually relented and stored the luggage. However, the initial answer should have been \"Certainly!\", not a long-winded hi-brow attitude from the owner. Finally, a baggie full of GBP coins disappeared from our room. Could not have been more than10 GBP worth of coins but it is the principle, not the monetary value. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend. There are many better options in Edinburgh.

Six Brunton was the perfect location for our 3 night stay. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. Hillary and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed. Within 30 minutes, you can walk to just about anywhere you want to go in Old Town or New Town. It was also easy to get an Uber when needed. The Herringbone restaurant across the street is great for dinner and/or drinks. Highly recommend!

Everything was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We would stay here again. The location was great for us. The only complaint is the slight musty smell in the basement room. They did have a deodorizer, however I couldn’t sleep with it under my night stand. I’m allergic to fragrances. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I stayed at Six Brunton Place for six nights and can’t recommend it highly enough! Hilary is a wonderful host and has created a beautiful, comfortable, and luxurious home away from home for her guests. Breakfasts are delicious! There is a bus stop across the street, and it’s an easy walk to the Edinburgh tram. After spending the days exploring Edinburgh it was so nice to return to a cozy room with the most comfortable bed, and a cup of tea. Will definitely stay there again.

Six Brunton Place is an amazing place to stay. The property is beautiful and elegant and although the Courtyard room is 'cosy', it was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with a full size bath and separate shower. There is a kettle, and a coffee machine, in the room, plus a TV that links to Sky. (Not that we had time to watch it!) The breakfast room/lounge had a lovely log burner which we sat beside, to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, before going out to the theatre. Which was only 15 minutes walk away. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, but must be ordered the night before. There was also an excellent choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries etc. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We definitely hope to return for another stay.

The Playfair room is luxoriously decorated, immaculately clean and has lots of extra touches such as a great selection of hot drinks, coffee machine, milk options, bathroom essentials and complimentary wine. Beautiful terrace house with very welcoming staff. Bus stops and justeat bikes within a 2minute walk that can get you into the main city in 20minutes. We stayed in the courtyard room and so had an easy access to the Main Street via the courtyard steps. Complimentary wine, coffee for the coffee machine and shortbread was lovely to have throughout the stay.

Every aspect was excellent- the flexibility, the warm welcome and wonderful hosting, warm fire and complimentary wine on a cold rainy day and the incredibly tasty and bountiful breakfast. The room was cosy, decorated tastefully and had everything we needed. Was nice to have a soak in the bath after a long day of walking. I think the only thing I would say (and I think it is probably personal preference) was that the mattress was very firm and I would probably have liked it to be a little softer. Thank you so much for our lovely stay.

Firstly I have to say that the hostess was charming and helpful. The food was delicious and the setting great. On the down side I feel that the photos of the roos were misleading, the rooms appear much bigver in the photos therefore the price is a little steep I feel. Although I can not criticise the property or its owner I do feel that it is over priced. I went a little more extravagant on this stay as it was our wedding anniversary and was left a little disappointed I have to say

We just stayed here for a weekend away and got put in the courtyard room, it is far too small for a couple, the bed being very small and nowhere to hang your clothes properly, it wasn't worth having a tv as it was too small and situated too far away. The added cushions and throwover,just added to feeling of being cramped. Having said that the host was very friendly and the breakfast was superb. I happened to glance in another room and it was 10 times that of the courtyard room so we may have been unfortunate. Also being in the basement meant no signal on phone and the WiFi didn't work so no good for business trip.
