Fabulous hotel in great location for stroll to beach for pubs and restaurants. It was their hotels 35th anniversary on our arrival and we had a bottle of fizz and biscuit on arrival to celebrate. The staff are friendly and helpful booking taxis and a table booking in next resort. Room is cleaned daily with fresh towels room and pool available too. Breakfast was included and had healthy and English or continental breakfast options.
Got 5 sunbeds daily and used the pool bar/restaurant for drinks and lunch. It is a quieter hotel with no music or big groups of people or children which we gave it a relaxing vibe during the day and then walked along the beachfront for nighttime entertainment. Perfect holiday for us and would return. Thank you to all the staff for their exceptional hospitality and lots of smiles too

Stayed for 5 days with a friend. Spacious enough room with balcony convenient to shopping centre and grocery store.
Parking off site but not too difficult to get to.
Spa did not have room but sister property did next door which was fantastic.
Rent a car if you want to see the island.
Some lovely restaurants with great views and good seafood nearby.

First time in Tenerife and picked a perfect hotel in my view.
Very central and easy walk to supermarkets, restaurants and the beach. However spent more time poolside due to the adult only nature of the hotel, was nice and quiet and perfect for relaxing.

Very good adults only hotel plenty of areas to sun bathe no fighting for a sun bed. Staff kind, polite and helpful the maids always said Buenos días to me and the staff at the afternoon restaurant treated you with absolute respect whether you ordered a meal, snack or just drinks. On the whole a lovely warm and welcoming hotel.

The hotel looks a bit dated, the room was simple, not sound proof as e could hear people talking until late. No bottle of water in the room, no parking… not a real good value for money unfortunately.
Overall wasn’t bad but I was expecting much more.

We are a couple both aged 23 - absolutely loved Colon Guanahani. The hotel is for the relaxers, we were one of few younger couples mostly older ladies and gents. Beautiful, beautiful hotel unique in its modern but homely natural style. Area was beautiful so much nicer than places we walked to, we were so happy we chose this hotel over others we seen that we had considered when booking. No hassle in the morning putting down towels next to the pool everyone just found their area. No tacky towel’s hanging over balconies. Our bags didnt arrive from the airport until day 2 and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful in sorting this out with us. Lovely staff, lovely breakfast options, we didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but when we came home at night there was always a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant area and tasteful music which we liked to watch from the hidden gem view of the roof-top pool. The hotel was super clean even the outdoor walk ways were pristine and clean. Shower pressure was amazing, mirrors in the perfect lighting for ladies doing skin care or makeup/hair. Great location walking distance from the beach front with great restaurants and bars, short €6 taxi ride from siam park, we easily travelled to monkey park too. Cost us €30 to the airport in a taxi, 15 minute journey but taxis must bump up the price to the airport?? Genuinely a lovely place we will be back for some relaxing in the sun, photos don’t do it justice at all ! Thank you

It's within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and shopping centres. The rooms are spacious with a walk in wardrobe and a large shower cubicle. Reception staff are always kind, respectful, helpful and very cheery. This is our second stay at the hotel and would not hesitate to stay again.

The first time we’ve stayed at this hotel and we’d definitely return. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the spacious room, comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. The safe fridge in the room were useful and there was plenty of storage space. The sun terrace pool with bubble pool was a beautiful setting to relax. We were only bed and breakfast but the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t have made our stay any more pleasurable.

The hotel is in an ideal location. The roof top pool had plenty of sun loungers and no loud music. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. All areas of the hotel were clean. The room was a good size with an excellent shower and a fabulous walk in wardrobe - never had so many hangers ! The bed was very comfortable. There was nothing to dislike!

It is a beautiful hotel and very quiet. Only up the hill from a very busy and touristy beach front. Good hotel facilities but smokers beware as there is no smoking around either pool or roof terrace! So we did not use the pool or pool bar but spent more time on the beach and beach bars/ restaurants.
Staff were lovely and breakfast buffet was ok with a range of choices. Rooms and hotel very clean.

We found the property to be in a good location for both Costa Adeje & Playa de Las Americas. Everywhere was kept very clean & the breakfast & terrace were perfect on a morning.
If you are wanting a small quiet hotel then it has a lot of good qualities.
However, I understand the reserving of Sunbeds should not be done for a full morning or all day but when you go down early to the pool & spend an hour on a bed then go for breakfast for 30 minutes & come back to find all your towels & belongings have been removed is unacceptable when we spent all day every day by the pool. To be made to feel like second class citizens in front of other guests was embarrassing & for this reason the lifeguard who walked around like Hitler would be our reasoning for choosing another property on our next visit. It is a shame he lets this hotel down.

Great location, especially for older couples that want to be within walking distance of restaurants and bars and the beach, but also want a quiet hotel. The bus stop is right outside too for any excursions or to go to the busier, party part (also walkable if you enjoy walking, like we did!). Breakfast at the hotel is good, staff are professional and nice. There are a few vegetarian/vegan options for breakfast and a vegan burger on offer at lunch (didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel so can’t comment). Two pools so although it got busy we always managed to get sun loungers (although we went mid June). Hotel was decorated to a high standard, beds were comfortable and the safe in the bedroom was easy to use and free. Plenty of space for hanging your clothes in a walk-in wardrobe. I liked that reception on check in asks how often you’d like your bedding and/or towels changed. I would recommend and if I were to go back to the area I’d consider staying again

Beautiful hotel, cannot fault the rooms, pools or staff. The food was ok, managed to eat something tasty every day but the selection of breakfast was very poor. All types of eggs but the rest was wierd, runner beans, carrots, spring rolls, fish patties??? Evening meal not enough vegetable choice, one if lucky. Entertainment very poor. No music anywhere during the day so deathly quiet. Could do with a little low background music during the day, would have been nice.

The hotel was beautiful with very spacious bedrooms. The shower in the bathroom was one of the best we have experienced. The breakfast was excellent especially the selection of fresh fruit. The service from all staff was excellent. What we didn't like was that the kettle in the room did not work and it took three changes of kettle to get one that worked. We also took a very dim view of being charged for extra coffee and milk sachets. How much would these cost? it is very petty to charge for the extra ones apart from the free one you get on the day you arrive. We were also disappointed that they only have a la carte service for lunch and not dinner. We do not like buffets and would have liked very much to have eaten dinner in the hotel if they had a la carte

The roof top pool & jacuzzi is fabulous.

The hotel is not overlooked from passers by when sun bathing.
Location is ideal to access the seafront and wonderful walks.

Stayed here for a few days with a group of friends and we loved it! The hotel staff were great and we were even able to get an upgrade to ocean view rooms. The breakfast buffet was amazing to wake up to- especially their crêpes; the outdoor area for breakfast is gorgeous too. We also realized on our last day that there’s a second pool on the 4th level which has a beautiful view of the sunset/ocean and is great for sunset pictures. It’s an under 5 min walk to the beach (a bit steep on the way back but you can go a slightly longer way to avoid this).

Staff were fantastic- I think most standard rooms overlook road which can be a bit busy but it was great for people watching and quiet when you went to sleep - if you want complete peace and quiet go for pool view room. They have great pools we especially loved the rooftop pool with amazing views .

Great stay

Really great stay here. Great location in a nice part of Costa Adeje, very quiet guests which is what we wanted (no partying or excessive drinking culture around the pool) and overall relaxing. The reception staff were particularly helpful and nice. The room was clean, had a large bed, small fridge, shower and bath, balcony, and most importantly air con! The TV channels definitely cater to British guests, having BBC, ITV, sky sports etc. The food was decent, but not amazing. There was always something for us to eat though and we really enjoyed sitting on the terrace at breakfast and dinner.

We noticed a few people reserving sun loungers by the pool, but it wasn’t too bad and we always managed to find a spot for 2 people side by side. The pools are lovely and heated to just the right temperature for a hot day.

The biggest downside is that the hotel across the road had a very loud rooftop party with lights and a DJ etc the Saturday night we arrived, which wasn’t ideal. It wasn’t noisy for the rest of the nights, so it might have been a one off though - and ultimately it’s not the hotel’s fault, just a noisy neighbour! Even with that, we’d still recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing stay in tenerife. We will definitely be back.

Could of been given a little more info at check in (only discovered the rooftop pool half way through trip!) as gentlemen checking us in was fairly abrupt. But other than that can find little to complain about.

Only downside was that there were two single beds instead of a double and that the sun beds tended to be reserved with towels really early in the morning which was annoying ! I liked the rooftop pool on the 4th floor, nice view on the ocean from there, nice outdoor breakfast area, the room looked very nice, modern and clean, bed was good and service was great, close to supermarkets and restaurants, short walk to the beach, great location.
Down point, the gym had outdated equipments that dont work very well, but you could do a few things if you use the dumbells. Not many people used it. the reception area is a bit underwhelming when you arrive somehow and i would say the entertainment is more for 50 crowd, which majority of people were. Did not matter as we didnt have dinner included, but i would have enjoyed something more upbeat!

I’ve had two previous stays at Hotel Colon and couldn’t wait to get back. It is spotless throughout. Very peaceful as there are no children allowed. The pools are heated all year. One road back from the promenade and all its lovely restaurants. Hotel was at 95% capacity and a bit hard to get sun loungers, although Covid social distancing no doubt exacerbated the situation. Management made sure guests wore masks inside which was reassuring. Hope to be back next year.

Perfect location for beach, evening walks, shops etc.. Great to see tourism picking up again and these guys are clearly happy to have guests back. Highly recommend it.

This was our second visit over two years and we will definitely be returning. The hotel is extremely well maintained and spotless throughout. The staff are a delight. Stay here, you wont regret it.

The perfect hotel, quiet, clean, comfortable, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great location too, just a 10 minute walk to the beach. but why would you want to go there as the rooftop pool is an amazing place to be. If I had to say something negative about this place it would be....................... Nope I can't think of anything :)

Well positioned hotel

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. It is well positioned for shops, restaurants and beach. The rooms are lovely and the pools warm. The outside breakfast area is very nice.

Lovely hotel. Have stayed here twice before. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing break. The pool area is incredibly quiet (noise level) during the day. Our only negative point is that, due to our room location, we were woken every morning between 6:30 and 7:30 by the maids and other hotel staff beginning their working day or moving drinks trolleys etc

Winter sun escape.

Fantastic winter sun holiday. Settled in immediately to this moderate size spotless hotel. Everything close at hand. Access to pool directly from bedroom. No problem with sun beds and heated pool an added bonus. Breakfast and dinner excellent. Well presented and spoilt for choice. Hard to keep waste line in check!!! Nightly entertainment pleasant. The location is superb. Turn leftand you have all the little shops restaurants and bars along the beach promenade. Turn right and you have a lovely walk to beautiful Fañabe beach with lovely upmarket restaurants,big hotels etc. Absolutely a great holiday with plenty to see and do while staying in a safe comfortable spotless hotel with polite and professional staff. Will definitely return for winter rest and relaxation.

Excellent hotel, very reasonable < we had a basic room but couldn’t fault it, near beach plenty of bars and restaurants, good breakfast didn’t stay in hotel in evening for dinner or drinks no need when good choice around you

A week in Adeje.

An excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Lovely heated pools and our ground floor room facing a small garden was perfect. We were on a B&B basis and our breakfast could not be faulted. We had drinks & snacks in the pool bar but did not eat a meal there as the surrounding restaurants were so good. Especially the ons by the sea. If you like fish this is the place to go. Will certainly go again.

My holiday

This is an adult only hotel and was perfect in every way. All staff were friendly and helpful. Everywhere is spotless and looked after. Close to lots of restaurants. Great choice for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable peaceful hotel close to restaurants an

Lovely hotel. Excellent service,. We parked our hire car in an underground supermarket car park recommended ar the hotel reception . Good value at 3 euros a day. The alternative is a free car park some distance from the hotel which frankly resembles a bomb site.

We didn't eat dinner at the hotel as we preferred to experience different restaurants nearer the beach . The buffet breakfasts were good with lots of choice including fried eggs to order..

Our room and ensuite were comfortable and spotless . Sheets and towels changed as requested.

We didn't see any of the nightly entertainment .

Nice comfortable relaxing hotel.

This is a lovely quiet hotel, where the staff are very friendly and keep it all very clean. Our room was quite spacious, with a balcony overlooking the road, but hardly any road noise and the beds are really comfy. The bathroom had a super power shower which had recently been refurbished. Breakfast was the norm, continental and English, good choice of fruit and yogurt. There were plenty of comfy sunbeds, some in the shade others with umbrellas. If you want a sunbed in the sun all day then you need to put your towels out by 9, although they were left empty until midday, very annoying. The hotel is a 5-10 mins walk downhill to the beach, with many bars, shops, restaurants and lovely beach. It’s a lovely area but can be a little hilly. There are buses that run past the hotel and a taxi rank opposite.
