Excellent accommodation and such lovely and welcoming staff from front desk to the cleaning and catering staff. Located in a quiet part of the main Town away from the noise and busy bustling restaurants and bars. If you don’t like steep walks up n down the streets then I personally wouldn’t recommend it, mind you it is Valletta so it’s something you’ll have to encounter.

Small quaint but quality hotel

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were overwhelmed by the friendliness and service. Taking our bags to the room and offering advice on getting the best from our visit. The hotel was immaculately clean the small numbers of staff worked hard to provide a huge array of tasty food and drink for breakfast but also cleaning the rooms and changing towels and sheets daily. Even though the reception desk wasn’t always occupied when I had a minor problem a phone call to the given number the manager immediately arranged for the problem to be fixed.

The property is very close to many attractions and restaurants. However, I got stuck in the elevator - I had to call the hotel management who then sent somebody over; also left some messages on Expedia but no answer from the hotel. I also activated the alarm in the elevator and the elevator maintenance company could speak a little of English. I yelled out and kept tapping on the elevator door until another guest helped me open from the outside. I decided to take the stairs after this incident and when I checked out - it is not easy to maneuver a 22-inch bag along the spiral stairs. The hotel did not follow up with me at all after this incident. Breakfast is decent. The room is spacious. The AC works very well. The water leaks out a bit as the shower pan is too shallow. Hot water is hit or miss, but I stayed here in summer, so no hot water is needed per se. As a side note, on the way back when I had a transit in Paris-CDG, the elevator to get to the lower floor to hop on the inter-terminal shuttle bus also did not open. However, it magically opened after I tried the door-opening button three times - very odd to be stuck in the elevator twice in two different places in 24 hours!

We loved our stay at the hotel. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the courtyard, which was lovely. The room may get musty in the summertime. . It is a very unique property. It is in an older building so things like electrical outlets were in strange areas. The staff and food were excellent. The location is quiet but within walking distance of all the action. Would recommend and stay here again.

The Araba Room.

Stayed for a weekend in October 2024. Looks great in the pictures however in reality it is a damp, smelly, dark, below street level, boutique cave just off the courtyard, and right next to the courtyard toilets. The paint is peeling off the ceiling due to the dampness, and I even had a visit from a cockroach.

My immediate request for another room was met with a “sorry, we’re full”. My complaint and request for a refund or discount was met with silence initially, but when Expedia intervened a discount off my next trip was offered - which was derisory and laughable.

A hotel room is meant to be a place to relax after a day of sightseeing in Valletta, not a place to suffer in humid, unhygienic conditions.

Unfortunately, I had prepaid for my trip, otherwise I would have left.

Caveat emptor.

Excellent customer service, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold selections, all very nice.

In very close proximity to the main shopping area, many restaurants and ferry ports to Sliema and Gozo.

Only downside we had, was our fridge didn't work. Didn't bother us though as we were only there 3 days. They may have fixed it for us but we never mentioned it.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building. The staff on the desk were students and were helpful. The breakfast let’s this place down.
Our room was inbetween floors 2 and 3 which was fine for us but for people with poor mobility maybe consider the fact you need to either go up or down a narrow winding staircase. Very very good location.

First time in Malta, lovely boutique hotel.

Lovely family run hotel, comfortable quiet rooms, only13 in the whole hotel, full of character. Offered a glass of iced water on arrival which was greatly appreciated. Reception closes about 4.00pm, but guests are given code to the door. If arriving at the bus station it is flat straight work through the main street in Valetta, but then it goes downhill and then you turn righted go up hill a short distance. If you have heavy bags with you, order from Bolt, or similar on-line. They are cheap and plentiful and the drivers energetic.

We loved Vincent in Valletta!!

We had 2 rooms - Natura Suite and Ta Rozi. Both absolutely fine. Only complaint was the need for large cups/mugs for tea. Espresso cup works for coffee but not tea!! Staff were very helpful and attentive. Excellent breakfast choices in lovely courtyard setting or indoors.

A little gem. Quirky building in a good way, with lovely decor. My room was very spacious with a coffee machine and coffee pods but being a typical Brit tea drinker they provided a kettle immediately on request. I asked to use an iron and one was provided with a small table-top ironing board. The safe in my room was faulty which they replaced, no issue. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Great location. I would recommend this beautiful hotel and would certainly stay there again.

For those who like hotels with individuality

This hotel is small and quirky, the rooms and bathrooms are big and nicely decorated. It is situated in a quiet location but still close to the centre of Valletta.
The staff is very nice and helpful and breakfast is fresh and tasty.
The safe was not working in my room and I don't think the air-conditioning was either but I wasn't too inconvenienced by that. More problematic was the drain smell in the bathroom. More toiletries, such as body lotion, shampoo would be a plus.
As a whole, I really enjoyed my stay at The Vincent and would gladly recommend it.

The staff was excellent. Checkin was a breeze. The hotel is well located in the heart of old town - just steps from the fort... none the less the room was very quiet. The room was large and colorful - bed, couch, fridge, tea set, etc. the TV stations were a bit limited, but who travels to watch TV anyway! Bedding was exceptionally comfortable. If you are ready for breakfast at 8am, you can sit in the garden to eat. Value for money was very good. Would happily stay again.

Go zzzzz in Valletta

The hotel is situated a short walk from the centre of Valetta in a quiet back street. The desk isn't always manned but a simple coded push button mechanism releases the external door. The building was a 4 storey old courtyard building with loads of character...it has a lift if needed. Our room was large and comfortable with a basic kitchenette if needed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The modern shower room was in the corner of the bedroom and worked very well. One slight drawback is that the open shower cubicle leaked a little causing the floor to become rather sodden.
The continental buffet breakfast had a great range of options to satisfy most peoples requirements.
Overall a great place to stay and I'd certainly be very happy to book here again.

The hotel is very pretty and well situated but there are a couple of drawbacks, there is no 24 hour reception so you have to pretty much fend for yourself. An it was apparently clean, with the usual humidity and mold of old constructions in an island, but our room had 4 large fat scorpions!!! terrifying. And as there was no one around we had to wait until morning to switch rooms. Not our favorite

The place is beautiful, very well located.
A little problematic since they say you can pay at the property but then become very crazy if they cannot charge your card before arrival (then? what is the purpose of paying at the property? Getting a higher rate if anyway you have to prepay). No reasoning. I am an agent and had to guarrantee with my own card.
The check in desk is not open 24 hours and the key to the room did not work when the guest arrived. Someone had to come and help. Otherwise, a great stay.

I had an issue while staying here. I reached out multiple times and no one resolved the issue.

Also, there are no outlets in the bathroom. The shower doesn’t have a door on it so water gets everywhere. The hotel is in need of serious renovations. Avoid this hotel and stay somewhere better.

Dirty, Sound transmission between floors ( you can actually see through gaps in floor to the room above in one of our rooms, Little natural daylight, elevator only reaches 1/3 of floors, Furniture battered and in need or repair. Cleaning and mechanical closet door closets left open.

Not a hotel. Staff is on site only part of day and expects guests to 'check themselves in' like a B and B.

Overpriced for the location the service and quality.

Beds are OK and staff was able to arrange taxi to airport.

Overall: Don't bother. There are much nicer places to stay at 2/3 the cost. Or well-located four star hotels for the same cost.

As a boutique property quirkiness is a given, the “loft” has its own entrance and a side door to get to reception , a separate key is given.
Catering staff were very pleasant and polite and helpful.
If your a party of 3 be aware that the loo and shower are situated in the main bedroom and is covered by a thin near transparent cloth! So no privacy.

If you're staying in Valletta, this is the perfect spot - being within walking distance of all the main sights, restaurants and cafes, as well as ferries to Sliema and the Three Cities, not to mention the Gozo Fast Ferry. The hotel staff were wonderful and the breakfast is more than enough to set you up for the day. Our spacious room was modern, yet boasted lots of character. Cannot wait to go back!

I only stayed at the Vincent for one night so it’s hard for me to give a very thorough rating. However, overall the stay was nice. Front staff was wondering, the hotel was charming, and location excellent. The room was a little run down compared to the photos- head board scratched and ratty, etc. I did not stay in a deluxe room and those may be nicer. Overall, nice place and I would recommend it.

Well located for exploring Valletta: a quiet local neighbourhood, but within easy walking distance to sights & transport. Would recommend only booking a top floor as noise ( footsteps & conversations ) comes through ceiling & also plaster walls. A rusty hole in the ceiling leaked water from the shower above into our shower & on to the bedside table. Unfortunately management only moved us after two days even though we offered to forfeit our room for a lower category/standard.

Just the most wonderful hotel in every way! Beautifully elegant, every room unique. Staffed by the nicest and most attentive people of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very nice breakfast included, other guests very friendly and chatty. I reserve my highest praise for Boyan, the manager. He greeted me every day with a warm and welcoming smile, incredibly knowledgeable about sights, restaurants, places to shop, and especially the great Malta public transport system, he was immensely helpful in getting me around and to the most worthwhile places. Very very highly recommended in every way!!

The building is amazing and typical of Maltese architecture, which means erratic floor levels and stone walls with tiled floors. We were in room Malita which was on the ground floor. It was a little musty when we arrived but opening the window, which is high up and looks into the courtyard, helped a lot. The shower room was awkwardly designed and slotted under a stone spiral staircase. It was impossible to sit straight on the toilet and the shower, being a wet room type, flooded the whole (tiny) room. The glass doors were stylish but offered no privacy - frosted glass would be better. The extractor fan had to be left on all day to dry the room out. The TV did not show any English language programmes, which was a surprise in an English speaking country. The bed was a zip link and very comfortable. The breakfast in a basement room off the courtyard was a tasty and varied spread of cereals, fruit, yogurt, cheeses and meats with a selection of breads- definitely sufficient to set us up for the day. The hotel is positioned at the far end of Valletta, close to Fort St Elmo and conveniently placed for a walk to all points in Valletta - 15 minutes walk to the bus station at town gates and also ferries to Sliema and Birgu. The staff are friendly and helpful and pleasant. The front desk is only manned for a couple of hours each day, with a contact number for outside that time.
A beautiful and stylish place with some quirky features - much better than an anonymous modern hotel.

Good hotel in the heart of the old town of Valletta, a short walk to fort St Elmo and the main town. The reception is only open for limited hours meaning that it is difficult to report any issues - for me I only had three working TV channels 2 in Maltese, one in Italian. The room itself was spacious and had a very large bed.
I would definitely stay again, though would go for a room above the economy level.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It’s very easy to walk to anywhere in Valletta within less than 10 minutes or to the bus station to catch a bus to any other part of the island. The rooms in the hotel are also very big and spacious and they do a good job keeping them clean. It’s a very pretty building and the staff are incredibly nice and friendly.

The downside is that the building needs some maintenance or even re-design. The lights on the spiral staircase up to the rooms didn’t work and at night I had to use the light on my cell phone so I didn’t fall. The freezer in the small fridge on the room was also a solid block of ice and needs some maintenance. Finally, the shower design in the bathroom of my room (Mediterranean) was awful. It was impossible not to get water all over the untiled walls and floor. As a result, there is a horrible mold issue and parts of the wall have even rotted away. So if you are sensitive to mold, this is not the hotel for you, at least not that room. It’s a shame because the staff, location and overall esthetic of common spaces is really nice!

Conveniently located in historical area, small window but you don’t want to change the architecture, there are stairs but not an issue for us. We are there to experience the culture. If you got out to eat a lot fine restaurants are outside or down below in old stone buildings. Staff watches over your bags if you have to check in or out early.

Very good value boutique hotel

Large room, very comfortable bed, good breakfast, in the attractive, atmospheric port city of Valletta. The duty manager was very helpful & efficient. However the en-suite shower/toilet room was completely impractical. A ‘wet room’ in a cramped space under a staircase led to water over the floor, a virtually unusable handbasin due to its size & having to sit sideways on the toilet as it was placed flat against one wall. Plus the door to the room completely see-through

Brilliant location in the old town...

Spent only one night at the Vincent Hotel.. totally loved the location right in the middle of the old town. The front desk staff were amazing, very friendly and help me get settle down.
The room was amazing with a small lounge and huge bedroom and bathroom. The place is amazing

Highly recommend

Lovely hotel and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Only lost one star on facilities due to the lift being temporarily broken. Location is fab, five minute walk from the war museum. Lots of character as the hotel is in an older building, much nicer than an over-priced modern hotel chain across the water (very short ferry) in sliema, book it now.

Friendly, relaxing, lovely rooms

Hotel is very nice, staff were excellent, friendly and helpfull. Rooms were nicely decorated in a different sort of way, made us feel very welcome. Close to the town and ferry and bus station. Would definately recommend it there.

Hotel is very modern and has a great location. However, there is no 24/7 service, which can be problematic. My shower didn't have hot water and I couldn't reach the staff for 30 mins to get it fixed. This is a hassle. The hotel didn't offer any compensation for this mishap beyond a free taxi ride, which I didn't appreciate.

Both rooms were very spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room was a suite and daughters room was a delux and both overlooking a court yard where you can enjoy outside dining for breakfast and also inside which has air conditioning. I was glad that my request was granted when I had asked if the rooms could be close to each other. Breakfast was light with a mixture of breakfast items that included yogurt, cereal, fruit and croissants just to name a few. We also booked our hotel transfers through the hotel which were prompt using e-cabs, which provided us with a van since we were a party of 5 and only having hand bags was the best value. The hotel is approx. 10-15 min. away from the airport and costs 26 euro each way. The hotel also had some converters in the room but no outlets in the bathroom so I was glad to have brought my own as extra’s which I used. The location of this hotel is within walking distance to many of the sights. We plan on returning to Malta in the near future and would definitely stay here again! Staff was friendly and went above and beyond in any requests that we had asked for!

Great place for people wanting to get some work done and sample some Maltese life. Nice old building, rennovated in a nice manner with great old walls and decorative features. Lovely central courtyard.

Lovely boutique hotel in great location

This is a really lovely hotel with 9 rooms (I think), all unique and furnished to a high standard. The building itself is really quirky with a spiral staircase that leads you to the upper floors and steps down from reception to a beautifully light courtyard eating area. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I even had a couple of phone calls from Bojan, the manager, prior to leaving the U.K. to discuss requirements. My 91 year-old mum fell while we were visiting the cathedral and they were fantastic with her. It’s a continental breakfast with lots of options so a meal to look forward to each day. Complimentary slippers and bottled water in the rooms and some lovely touches in reception: a jug of cooled water (containing lemon and cucumber), especially refreshing after a day out in the heat, and a range of sweets in a large dish. All in all, a great find which I would use again.

Great choice in Valletta

I had a wonderful stay at The Vincent. For me, the standout was the service by Bojan and the rest of the staff. They arranged to pick me up at the airport, which I really appreciated. When I arrived at the hotel I was able to check in immediately, and they gave me a map and some great suggestions about what to see that day in Valletta.
The breakfast included with the room was good, and I particularly enjoyed being able to eat it out in the courtyard.
I was in the Bordello room, and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. As other guests have noted in their reviews, the bathroom walls are glass and covered only with a sheer curtain, so keep that in mind if you're traveling with someone and that isn't something you would be comfortable with. The shower also has a tendency to flood the bathroom floor a little if you're not careful/put towels down.
The neighbourhood where the hotel is located is a short walk from lots of attractions and restaurants at both ends of the city.

Absolutely spot on, staff couldn't do enough and the room was spotless, reception is only occupied until 19:00 but they leave enough information at reception for you. only small niggle is could do with a taxi number at reception but that is it... brilliant.

Beautiful, Artistic and Special place

We had an amazing stay at The Vincent! The building itself is a treat to stay in with a gorgeous courtyard and individual suites the like of which I doubt you would have stayed in before.
The attention to detail was lovely, painted birds on the walls of the spiral staircase to the rooms, and the bright orange staircase to the loft behind the glass in the lobby was intriguing!
You are situated in a perfect place to be able to walk around the city while having small, intimate bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

Ideal location for a city break

Super apartment very clean and tidy, the decor was a really nice mix of old and new which gave it loads of character. Good quality food in the breakfast room in the cellar! Close to the city centre where there is plenty to see and do. Highly recommended.
