Really great place to visit. Staff was wonderful. If you had concerns , they would come to your room within minutes. We only had a couple of minor complaints. 1. The TV wouldn't hold a signal, couldn't watch it at night. 2. Our porch light only worked half of the time. 3.We didn't have a screen door (our neighbors did) to our walk out pool. Other than those issues, which did get fixed, it was great.

The courtesy shuttles were great! All the staff were super helpful and spoke very good English. The bar life on the palms side and main pool on the suites side was a blast! Only downfall was the seaweed, but we know that’s seasonal. Would love to visit again when we can access the water. The rooms were very well kept by the service staff, all of the walking trails were beautiful and full of tropical plant life! It was fun seeing the Mexican critters all about, the food was pretty good with lots of options all over the resort making it very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return again!

Clean room, great staff, good food, typical all inclusive drinks. I would not recommend the “more inclusive” option. It felt like every meal and experience had “upgrade” options that you had to pay for which took away from the convenience of the all inclusive. After check in we wanted to sit by the pool but the place where we needed to get towels was closed. We were looking forward to the catamaran experience but it had to get cancelled due to weather. That was understandable. But it was not understandable that they drove us to the location to then inform us it was cancelled. When we arrived at the beach where we were supposed to go on the boat, every decent option costed money. We paid 150 dollars for table and chairs for the day. We set up transportation at 5pm to return to the hotel. We rented towels at the beach and we did not see they needed to be returned at 4:30pm. It felt wrong that they had the pick up time 30 min after towels needed to be returned. We almost got charged 10 dollars per towel but luckily got our money back. It felt like everything was trying to be up sold and we didn’t appreciate that. We expressed our concerns but they did nothing at all and just tried to explain how they were right. We were very disappointed in the customer service and their un willingness to make the situation better. On arrival we weren’t able to make a dinner reservation because that closed before check in time which seems wrong.

Our stay at El Dorado Seaside Palms was fantastic! The staff were absolutely great, very kind and helpful. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a premium room with an ocean view! The beach was great! We enjoyed having fish swim around us while in the water! It wasn't too hard to get a beach chair and there was often someone coming by to offer to bring us drinks. There is also a great BBQ place for lunch on he far side of the beach that has ribs, sausage, chicken, veggie skewers, beef flank, and nachos. The food was good, the rooms were clean and continually cleaned. There are also lots of lunch buffet options, a taco bar, pizza, burgers, hotdogs, burritos, and full buffets. One of these had a guy grilling fresh salmon and making up pasta! They always ask your room number when going to eat and we found out that this was in case anyone gets sick, they can try ad trace it and find out how it happened. I really appreciated that they are doing their best to protect the guests. We also enjoyed the free excursions. We got to ride a catamaran and go snorkeling and that was fantastic. The Cenote swim was also a wonderful experience! We would 100% come again!

Our only complaints were that we ended up getting roped into a membership presentation and there were a few times at the beach when a couple woman decided to go topless even though they weren't in the hidden beach portion (there is actually a nudist portion that is private).

Had an issue with the taxi to and from a nearby town, in which the resort assured me was a safe and reliable transport mode. I don’t attribute this to the hotel itself, as they also did everything they could to ensure my safe return and follow through with the initial driver.
Otherwise everything is stunning, definitely a resort for couples and retirees.
The food in the restaurants was incredible.
My only overall “feedback” would be the limited access of food between the lunch and dinner switchover/late night after dinner - the only option being room service.
They have La Trattoria which is only open select days of the week. Would love to see that be open during the transition periods for a quick snack/small meal without having to go to the room and wait 30-45 min (which is honestly still a great delivery time for how great the food is).
It is doable to work around this! This does not make or break how wonderful the resort is.
The overall landscape is stunning, the access to the sister resorts and amenities make the possibilities endless!
The excursions that were included were IMPRESSIVE and well planned.
If i were to visit an El Dorado resort again, i would likely look into which one suits the vibe of my vacation a little closer than I had.
The staff were beyond attentive and very patient with the guests that may have consumed a few too many bebidas (not naming names - it’s me… i did).
Anything i asked for, someone had it covered.

First impression was not so good as the lobby looked dated. For me, that was a bad sign because I had a feeling the rooms looked dated as well. We selected the Junior Swim out room and it was horrible. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling and looked very dated, you could barely see your reflection in the mirror. Tiles on the room floors were cracked in some areas and the shower had sewage smell coming from the drain. There was still a wet towel sitting on one of the loungers out on the patio. We requested a new room and we were given a Premium suite which was much nicer. The staff were all good and polite except one guy who delivered room service one night. The food was just ok. The best food we ate was at the Japanese restaurant. The room service food often arrived not hot, but was delivered fairly quick. In the Premium room we noticed small little bugs in the floor near the balcony door. They didn’t enter the room entirely, but they were there. The bar drinks were hit or miss. The Mezcalito bar had decent drinks, but the other bars were hit or miss. Overall, it was just ok and I would look for a more updated resort if we ever visit any all inclusive resort in Mexico.

We absolutely loved our stay at El Dorado Seaside Palms! Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

The food was excellent, with great variety and quality at every restaurant we tried. The facilities were beautiful and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the property.

We also really appreciated the internal transportation—it made getting around the resort easy and convenient. The bell staff and overall service were outstanding.

Overall, everything was just amazing. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this resort!

We were in a beachfront suite close to the party area which had music till 1am most nights. This should be midnight at the latest since most times there were not many people left anyway after 12. Also, the BBQ beach could use some more loungers, lots of room left. Other than that... PERFECT. Very quiet (adults only), very friendly and happy staff (Mexican-owned resort) and good food. Food, drinks and washrooms always close by. The ocean is very shallow but the snorkeling from the beach is excellent. Everything is clean and well maintained. The Spa was very relaxing. The included catamaran excursion to Maroma was great. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hospitality, as always. Our 4 th stay at the El Dorado Seaside Palms and we’re already planning our next visit. The staff is simply wonderful, welcoming, friendly, and so kind. I travelled with my 83 year old mother, and everyone went above and beyond to see that she enjoyed her visit to the maximum. The food is great (quality and selection). The breakfast and lunch dinner buffets at the market were simply delicious. Alex always took great care of us at the dinner buffet, and Yasmin and Diana were always waiting with a smile and our favourite table at breakfast. Each staff member is always happy to help and are extremely hospitable. Our beach concierge (Gabriel and Calvin) had our Bali bed and loungers waiting for us every morning. Super helpful, ensuring that we had easy access to the sea and facilities. From beginning to end, the El Dorado Seaside Palms is pure perfection.

Rooms was good, all food we got room service for was totally cold. Not even a little bit warm. We spent a week there. Be prepared to do lots of walking. Everything is so spread out. Some meals you are at a different resort. You take shuttle to if you can get one. We travel every couple months to cancun area to try different resorts. This is one, I would not visit again. So many very rude employees. Its ashamed that you look so forward to going and to just waste of money

We booked this resort for our honeymoon, and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a resort. Upon checking in we were told that there are only 2 restaurants that require a reservation, klay talay and Mia casa Italian. Well a few days later we go to have dinner at La Carreta, the Mexican restaurant and are told we need a reservation to which we replied that we were only told the 2 required reservations and even the resort app shows it doesn’t require a reservation. The employee we were speaking to was extremely rude telling us we are wrong and that we were informed of this at check out and was very disrespectful.

Unfortunately the problems didn’t stop there, our room phone went out 3 times and was never fully fixed after multiple reports to the front desk and maintenance department.

The food on property was very disappointing, and quite dangerous. we went to breakfast multiple times and each time without fail the sausage was very undercooked so much so it was pink inside and could cause people to be very sick.

Even after having multiple conversations with one of the managers about the issues, all we were given was an apology and told they would see what they could do, Which was nothing as they never got back to us.

Overall I would not recommend this resort to anybody and encourage you to book somewhere else. The only reason this is not a 1 star is because the staff excluding the one individual was very friendly and caring to us.

The bar in the room didn't have liquor, just beer, soft drinks, and water. My bed spread had stains on it upon my arrival. It took 3 different spreads to finally get a clean one. The phone in my room also did not work, but someone came to fix it the next day. Housekeeping threw away my toothbrush that was in a travel case and a new tube of scar removal cream. They also forgot to clean my room on one of the days I was there. The rooms at Seaside Palms are very outdated and need a major upgrade. The couches and chairs in the room had stains on them. The people at the front desk weren't the friendliest either.

Seaside Palms had beautiful grounds. There was amazing stretch of beach in the palms with great and plentiful Bali beds available. You can waste your days away there pretty easily. The waves broke far out, which left an amazing calm swimming area. Bring your floaty with a drink holder and it leads to a perfect day on the water. The food is great, but reservations were hard to come by since the resort was full the week we stayed. So we mostly stuck with places with no reservations. Honestly, they are the places with the views of the ocean. The beach barbecue was amazing. My husband and I don’t drink hard alcohol, so we were extremely impressed by the availability of mimosas, champagne, and house wine. The staff was wonderful and friendly.Maria was always quick with the drink delivery. Louis was pretty fabulous for pool activities.
We did the catamaran excursion, with the half-day beach pass .The crew on the boat was fantastic and saw a couple turtles in the water.We did not enjoy the Maroma beach day pass, and felt nickel and dimmed, 200 pesos per towel rental and the Bali beds were US$129 to rent, although the service and the staff were great. The Maroma beach was beautiful, white sand beach and it was nice to see another area. The perks of El Dorado Seaside suites and Palms is amazing. Free shuttle service, choice of excursions. Plus, The grounds and beach right ant the Palm are really all you need. I would absolutely recommend this place and love that it was adults only.

The room was nice. Staff was fairly nice but rides on golf carts were limited. Food was no good but two out of eight days. Pools were cold and shallow. Drinks were hit or miss. El Dorado was the best drink. Walls in the rooms were so thin you could hear neighbors fighting. We booked an adults resort to avoid fighting and get the best experience. This was not the case. Additionally reservations for restaurants is limited to people they know.

If booking through Expedia Airport shuttle is CANCÚN AIRPORT ONLY, Expedia did not outline this & I was screwed over!! This property was beautifully done, good efforts on entertainment, but felt amateur & not unique, The staff are very friendly & helpful, however the service was a bit slow, we were there when the resort was fully. Getting into the a la carte resturants was very difficult( 3 onsite). The buffets are tiresome, pretty much the same just a tad different.

When it’s all inclusive I wish tipping, even at Buffetts & snacks was restricted. It got a bit much. They didn’t make you feel that way I just wish it was a ground rule like in other resorts I’ve been to, Tipping restricted!

Upgrade the ecotour to the bonanza tour it comes with horseback riding & swim in cenote.
The guide was very funny & friendly.

Tulum is very very expensive they want to charge you pesos for everything including a beach chair with no umbrella in some areas.

The Ruins was cool, but if you like to know more of the history or stories pay $1200 pesos for a guide. Wish I did. And again the government there is insisting further taxes & fees now, just to walk about the Tulum Ruins. It cost a total of $400pesos per person which was about $44CAD plus another $15CAD to park in a pitted gravel back area. Total for two with parking was $950pesos (~$95-$105CAD, no tour bus, no guide)

Glad I experienced Tulum,would I do it again?Not without thinking twice for the amount it was!

Overall experience at El Dorado - as first time travellers - was excellent! Staff were very accommodating, hospitable and joyous which added to the overall atmosphere of the property. We were greeted every single time, offered drinks or food and were kept BUSY; the property itself had plenty of activities that one could partake in which aids with the stress of planning. Lastly, the affiliations with Lomas was great as we didn’t have to worry about transportation from and to the airport and also for the excursions. Again, EXCELLENT PLACE WITH EXCELLENT WORKERS.

The shuttle service was good, especially on the way back to the airport, El Savador was funny and professional.

But the rest wasn’t good. I didn’t get the room a reserved. My wife and I were assigned a downgraded room due to full booking/overbooking. The room was dark, smelled funny, and poorly maintained. Overall the whole property is dated and needs a refresh.

The hospitality staff were friendly and the food was ok.

Based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend the resort nor go back.

There are pros and cons to every resort as well as differences in opinion. This review is from my opinion only and others may not agree. We stayed in a Jr. Swim Up on the Palms side, just regular not preferred.
1. Staff- was great and super friendly
2. Check in - quick and painless
3. Room - Dated but clean and spacious. We did find walking in barefoot our feet got dirty.
For sleeping the room didn’t get dark enough for me. I’m glad I brought a sleep mask.
AC worked great
The swim up was awesome, had a patio area, then a short step down to shallow water with loungers then had a 4ft area to swim/float to other rooms or bar pool. Sun and shade mixed.
Sound proofing was good, could hear music a night a bit in our location.
4. Food - This is the make or break for many. We found the food in the Italian and Sushi place to be the best. Reservations needed at those two. The Mediterranean was not bad but not a lot of choices. The rest of the food was hit and miss for us.
5. Grounds - This resort was a little tricky to navigate. Lots of path ways but not many signs. The map was helpful but definitely didn’t show everything. The grounds were beautiful tho. Tons of palm trees, flowering bushes and plants. Kept very well by staff.
6. Beach - Also many guests make or break. The beach on palms side is best, it goes a little ways for a short stroll. Shallow so many waded, float, snorkeled and hung out with drinks. Lots of Bali beds and chairs but it would depend on capacity

Wish I could have stayed longer!

Easy to find the transportation from the airport and the transfer was smooth; Food was absolutely awesome in every spot!; Great drinks; delightful & gracious staff; terrific music at The Guayacamas (sp?) Bar in the evening was a fun way to end each day... Will definitely be back!

Great resort. Food was actually fantastic, even room service. Housekeeping and fridge restock was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, rooms and pools a little dated, but large and comfortable. Entertainment was great, hydrotherapy and seaside massage was incredible.
