This was our second stay at TRS Yucatan and we’re very happy with our stay. Our butler Alberto was exceptional. He went above and beyond to make our vacation special for us.
Other exceptional staff include Daniel and Hector who were very helpful with rides around the resorts and helping out with our luggage. We were very happy with the resort and the food, drinks and amenities were still outstanding. However, coming back we noticed a few things that we wish had not changed. The hydro circuit used to be a perk of TRS and now is an upcharge. The amount of upcharging at the resort now is a bit underwhelming. Also, the quality of the food at El Gaucho was very disappointing. There was better steak at the other à la carte restaurants we tried. The Italian, French and Mediterranean restaurants were all very good. The best restaurant service by far was at Caprichio. The staff were the most attentive and friendly. The venue at Helios was very nice but Caprichio had the better food and service.

This resort was amazing. It was like they had thought of every detail. The whole resort was immaculately clean inside and out. The pools the beaches were gorgeous with tons of seating. There was a sargassum problem this week, however the resort staff were cleaning it continually and the beach was quite usable in places. The resort was so spacious, we walked all the time and always something fun to see, including lots of wildlife. There were shuttles running all the time for people that didn’t want to walk. The food was delicious, with many different places to eat. We especially loved the Japanese Show Cooking, and the cafe. We participated in many activities. Painting with Liz was a highlight. We also loved Bar Tending Lessons and Sushi making! The nightly entertainment was so much fun! The White Party and Tacos and Tequilla were not to be missed! We would go back to this resort in a heartbeat!

I’d highly recommend anyone come to this resort. There is truly something for everyone. The property is massive and it has a lot to offer. I would recommend the staff explain in more detail upon arrival of its guests all of the amenities available & how to get there. However, the staff members were always happy to answer our questions. We had an incredible time!

The resort is massive and the VIP experience through Expedia gave us all access to more activities and restaurants than we could get to in a week. The staff and concierge services were incredible, shout out to Omar, and the balance between family friendly and exciting atmosphere was perfect. Would love to come back as soon as possible.

Great resort property and staff. Rooms were clean and public bathrooms were always very clean and well stocked. Food and restaurant selection very good. Juan and Jesus at the Sumptuori restaurant were excellent, friendly, hard working and funny. The Mexican restaurant is very ethentic dining so if your used to Canadian and Americanized Mexican then this is not the restaurant for you.
The sports bar is open 24 hours and offers a great atmosphere and good appy style pub snacks. It’s a hidden gem.
Omar our concierge was top notch.He consistently amazed us. We were a group of 8 with four rooms. He knew everyone’s sir names and room numbers without us reminding him. It’s so nice to be able to explore the other resorts while staying at Colonial.

We've been to this resort multiple times over the past 15 years. The staff and resort grounds are excellent! Staff are so friendly and willing to serve. Unfortunately, the hotel services (rooms) are really showing their age. We had guests that did not have hot water for 2 days, a tv that was replaced after three sevice visits, remotes that did not work, a shower faucet that broke off causing water problems. We personally had a water leak from the ceiling that began in our bathroom. We ultimately had to moved from our room at 23:00. I'm not sure we'll return again due to the room issues. Sad, you pay a premium for this resort. They need to dedicate a portion of their revenue into room upgrades, or they will continue to lose long term customers.

Very big resort, and the busses will take you anywhere you want to go. Has 3 different vibes, the family/kids pool, the mostly adult pool, and the only adult pool. The drinks were very good, and the food was also really good. I would highly recommend trying the restaurant Helios as it was our favorite. The Italian restaurant Portofino may have been having an off night, because it was not very good and they didn't let you order appetizers???? Quite strange, but overall still a great experience and would highly recommend!!!!

Had problems with TV working on 3 consecutive days. they finally replaced the TV. Had problems with the screen door on the deck...tough to move without taking it off the tracks. Had problems with our Shower. Shower nob broke off while I was attempting to turn on the shower. They fixed it promptly. Then it was started leaking so they replaced a gasket. Water was turned on and off during our stay a couple times, aside from our problem. And electricity went off and on about a 1/2 dozen times during our stay. The couple we went with had to change rooms on day 6 because water was leaking through their ceiling into the bathroom. Entire staff was remarkably prompt and friendly, always accommodating and I'd give their service an absolutely outstanding. But they're failing their guests with a poor product now. Been their about 9 years earlier and had none of these room issues.

The facilities are very nice. The room needed some updates like the bed. When we got there the bed was visibly sunken in one side. We requested this is be addressed. They came
And made some adjustments but by the end of our stay it was again sunken. It definitely needed a new bed. The cleaning staff did a great job.
Something we did find disturbing was there wasn’t much sound insulation. Every time someone opened or closed their door it sounded right in the room.
It had a nice balcony which added to the room.
I also have celiac disease and the food was amazing. They always asked if there were any allergies and would offer a tour with the chef if desired. The only thing that I found was missing were snacks. I light to have something salty at times and there was nowhere to purchase these that didn’t cost a fortune. The resort did not provide this type of thing. There are some stores in the resort but a bag of chips cost 15$ usd.
Every night there was great entertainment. We had a very nice time and do recommend this resort.

The room and overall stay were very good. The beach was clean, although there was some seaweed during our visit. We did notice trucks actively working to remove it, which was appreciated.

There was a great selection of swimming pools, all of which were clean with plenty of seating available.

I highly recommend booking restaurant reservations ahead of your stay, as many were already fully booked when we arrived. Transportation between the adjoining resorts was somewhat inconsistent. If you are staying at Colonial or Kantenah, be aware that most of the transportation seemed to prioritize TRS, White Sands, and Family Selection.

The buffets offered a large selection, especially at breakfast. Each room includes a minibar, which was convenient. Most staff members speak both English and Spanish, though Spanish is more commonly spoken.

They offered family-friendly shows suitable for all ages, which was a nice touch. There is some sales pitching on-site; it was not pushy, but it is present.

The resort is about an hour from Cancun Airport, and airport transportation was $225 one way. I would recommend arranging transportation in advance or contacting the hotel to see if they can assist with transfers.

Overall, it was a good stay with a few things to plan ahead for to make the most of your visit.

We stayed here Jan 23-30, 2026 and had the best time. The resort was beautiful, well maintained in all the common area, staff were friendly and attentive. Room was good- nothing spectacular but it was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, well stocked mini fridge and housekeeping was excellent! The lobby shows (performed by the incredible POP team) and markets were a great way to spend our evenings- you definitely need to attend the UV Beach Party and Bingo Night when you are there. Because we booked through Expedia, we had VIP access to all three resorts on the property and concierge support through WhatsApp (this was the best as they can make your restaurant resos and help with soooo many other things... didn't know I needed this service in my life until this trip). Food was okay, well presented at the buffet but selection didn't change much from day to day. A la carte restaurants were also just okay. Tip- when you book the Japanese A la carte, if you pick the teppanyaki table it is a set menu and you do not have access to the sushi bar or any of the items on the menu you can see in the app... we would have chosen to eat in the regular side if we had known this. Beach is nice but very rocky entering the water by the Colonial Resort, you have to walk a short way down the beach closer to Kantenah to find an area to enter without rocks. All in all, this was a fantastic resort, our three teenagers (14, 17, 19) had a blast and we would definitely stay there again.

PRO- A very large resort that is very family & young kids friendly. Lots of food and pool activities for younger kids. The buffet has a smaller variety of options but each dish was well prepared. The resort is nature themed with local animals and vegetation surrounding each pathway. CON- the lack of lighting. Some of the walkways have no lighting at night. There is also a lack of activities at night adult guests with many of the bars closing at 6pm and opening at 10am.The transportation from one area to the next was slow at times. With many of the carts on the side with no drivers available. Highly recommended for families with young kinds or a carefree relaxed time. Not suited for guest looking for something to do after 8pm.

We had an amazing stay! The resort is very safe, peaceful, and fun. There are many different dining options as well as several buffets. All of the staff were super friendly and treated us well. Our buildings concierges David and Cielo were incredibly helpful during our stay. They were able to answer all of our questions, as well has assisting us with different bookings. This was our first time staying at the Grand Palladium, and we had a wonderful experience. My husband and I stayed at Kantenah, while our adult kids stayed at Colonial. It worked out perfectly- they were close to all the activities and entertainment, and we were just steps from the beach, which I absolutely love.

This is definitely a resort we would return to. We enjoyed the food, the shows, and the overall atmosphere. My only suggestion would be to offer even more entertainment geared toward teenagers and young adults. The White Party was a huge hit for my sons (and for us!), and more events like that would be fantastic.

I truly recommend this resort for all ages-everyone will find something to enjoy. And special kudos to the entire staff. I have zero complaints. Everyone worked incredibly hard and treated us wonderfully, allowing us to relax and feel completely taken care of throughout our vacation.

Our experience at the Grand Palladium took a shocking turn during our visit to the spa—an area that should be the most carefully maintained part of any resort. When we approached the spa pool, something was immediately off. A viscous, slightly bubbly residue floated on the surface—impossible to mistake for anything other than what it was.

We later learned a wedding party had just finished, and some very intoxicated groomsmen had been in the spa beforehand. Accidents happen; vomit. We informed the spa attendant right away, fully expecting the pool to be cleared, treated, and temporarily closed. Instead, nothing happened. No testing, no filtration pause, no sanitizing protocol. The pool stayed open as if everything were normal.

Guests kept getting in, unaware of what they were stepping into, and I found myself warning people personally—something I never imagined doing on vacation. Coming from a tourism region myself, I know any resort can build impressive amenities and hire plenty of staff. What separates the good from the bad is how they handle moments like this.

When the crown jewel of the spa—the hydrotherapy pool with the Roman faucets—isn’t even closed after a bodily fluid incident, it speaks volumes. It shows a willingness to overlook basic sanitation for convenience or optics. And once you see that, you can’t unsee it.

This wasn’t just gross—it revealed resort’s true standards, and they fell far short of what any guest should accept

Breakfast and lunch are our favorite meals at Grand Palladium, but the dinner dining options can be hit or miss.

We tried a couple of the ala cartes, but the La Hacienda buffet had better options - especially the salad and side dish offerings. The desserts were always better in the buffet. Being from Arizona & New Mexico, we did appreciate the extensive Mexican cuisine options in the buffets.

This was our 6th (or 7th - we lose count) visit to GP, and our 24th trip to the Riviera Maya. Our dining opinions are are almost identical across all the resorts.

I want to share our experience with you. This was a very bad experience at a beautiful resort. You need to address you customer service and concierge service
1. We checked in at white sands on Monday Nov 3rd. Room 5604. Our bags sat at the concierge for ever we finally went and got the no one was there.
2. The app did not work to make reservations, went to the front desk and they tried and it still said “guest not found”. We were told to go to the concierge to make reservations. We came with a group and we could not enjoy dinners with our friends. We had to eat buffet all week. We did get one reservation for the last night but not with any of our friends.
3. My husband fell at the white sands pool on your slippery steps. And cut his arm on the tile and has a huge bruise from his shoulder to forearm. Your life guards were great but your other staff were all worried about me filling out the form . We were contacted by concierge and I let them know we could not go to our one and only dinner reservation and would have to order room service, they didn’t even offer to comp the fee for that so again I went to the buffet alone and brought food back to my husband.
4. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told no and given this email address to send a message to.
5.the front desk and concierge were ne help.
6. The trolly drivers for TRS refused to pick us up, the other drivers said they are not supposed to do that.

Our experience at the Grand Palladium Colonial Resort was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade thanks to booking through Expedia, which made our stay even more special.

The resort itself is stunning—beautifully maintained grounds, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a wide variety of restaurants and activities to enjoy. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home throughout our stay.

From the pools to the beach, everything exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was both relaxing and lively, offering the perfect balance whether you wanted to unwind or take part in activities.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone considering a stay in the Riviera Maya!

The whole experience was absolutely magical. I payed for transportation from the airport to the resort and also back again on my checkout date. My driver, Rocky, was so kind and helpful. The welcome at the resort was warm and check-in was seamless and fast. I was offered hibiscus water and got my wristband before being whisked away via golf cart to my room. I was upgraded to a newly renovated room. Through expedia, I had the VIP Package which included access to all 5 resorts and a special welcome sweet treat and bottle of Chardonnay. My favorite resort was TRS, the adults only section. The infinity pool was so serene and the employees would wander around handing out surprise snacks which was a lovely and personalized touch.

Oswaldo and julio, concierge employees, were absolutely fantastic! They assisted me with making dinner reservations, getting bingo tickets squared away, and answering general questions! Fabulous emoloyees!!

The ocean was beautiful, the food scrumptious, and the employees were 5-star! I want to come back!

We had to change our 4 rooms 3 times within our 5 night stay. Each room has multiple issues with no phone service, old and rusty, bugs, smelling like mildew, tub way too high that had us have accidents getting out. Door locks and safe not working, bathroom outlets not working, very yellow dim lights throughout, refrigerator leaking! Anything else, yes. Too many crazy animals running all over the place that would take the food right out of your plates. Never going back there again! Oh and big giants water bugs walking around the rooms and Many mosquitoes in the rooms too! Food was not good either.

There are so many things. We had to change our room three times and I actually had to pay $1,000 upgrade for four rooms. The wildlife rats and raccoon monkey things running rampant all over including in the restaurants and in the lobby. Cockroaches the size of school buses. Absolutely horrible place I will never ever come here again and I suggest if you plan to you better think again. Also the staff does absolutely nothing to accommodate you. Do not stay here. Spend your good heart and money on a good place and read all the reviews before you come here. I assure you you will change your mind very quickly

It was our first time at a resort, so we didn’t know what to expect. Most of the staff was very nice, helpful and informative. We loved the ambience and the fact that there was carts to drive us to our destinations. The carts were convenient because we didn’t know where we were going a lot of the time, so they also helped by saving us time. They were very keen on keeping everything clean all of the time. We did get a room with 1 broken bed and the closet door fell off. We made several attempts to get these issues fixed, but didn’t seem important to anyone. The bed issue was important to me because good rest is part of a good relaxing vacation. The food was okay, not bad, but nothing special either. I was looking forward to having fresh seafood, but it was hard to find any… the options were very limited. Other than those two things, everything was perfect. It was a great stay, I will definitely go back.

The hoteal staff were attentive and carong from beginning to end. Very accommodating! The app for reservations is a bit misleading but the concierge at each lobby are very helpful. The servers at the restaurants provided beyond great customer service. We were surprised everyday with a treat from the person that takes care of the rooms. Sad to leave, but will be back.the food is fenomenal at the resyaurants and at the buffets! Entertainment needs a bit of work, But the beach parties are great...

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Palladium. We booked Colonial but was bumped into Kantenah and VIP guests. Being VIP guests, we got access to exclusive restaurants and lounges and concierge service. David and Cielo, our concierges, are awesome. They are always a text message away.

Staff was very friendly! Our only complaint about our stay was the air conditioning system. Ours did not work in our room and we even had an upgraded room and it was mid July so extremely hot in Mexico. We would complain to our butler several times but they didn’t jump to the needs of the air conditioner.

Alessandra was such a great help. She was so attentive and made our trip much easier. She was the highlight of our trip . Everyone from the cleaners, maintenance guys, chefs, hosts , were all so kind and on top of things. The property itself is beautiful and has many cool wild life that just hung around. The TRS experience is definitely the best as far as what we were looking for. Top notch property, top notch staff. I am always looking for something to critique but in this case , I couldn’t find one thing. 11/10

The resort is nice and spread out. Service is hit and miss. We had excellent seafood and mediocre steaks. In general, decent food at buffets, Argentina, French, Seafood restaurant. Thai restaurant was bad!
I lost a nice thermist at Playa beach, family section. I have been to at least 15 resorts in Quintana Roo and this is the first time I lost an item. I requested for a camera review but people at concierge desk don't seem to care. They never get back to me.

Upgraded stay to VIP guest in TRS Yucatán because of my Expedia membership and it’s absolutely phenomenal experience. Love the food, drinks, night entertainments and unbelievable service by staff.
Been to Cancun and Riviera Maya 5x. The attention to details by staff here to make your stay unforgettable one is unmatched!

There are so many pools, restaurants, and bars to choose from that you can spend each day in a new area if you choose to. We stayed for a week and still didn't have enough time to try each dinner restaurant. Overall the food, service, and grounds were excellent. We never once worried about our valuables being left out in our room or by the pool.

Room was not ready when we arrived: phone didn’t work, tv didn’t work, bed our grandson was going to sleep on had mold on mattress.
Room old and dirty. We were moved to new room. Portofino rest grossly overcharged us on wine. Never received itemized charges. Future guests should beware of bait & swtch scam with wines at restaurants: very fraudulent. I estimate that we were charged $150-$200 a bottle without knowing prices.
Our bill totaled $658 for 3-4 bottles. We would never purchase wine at those prices. This practice has to stop. Our concierge could not get our bill credited. Shameful Robert Edmonston

Buffet food was average-good. A La Carts were good. Played mini golf, shuffle board. Had couples massage at spa. Went to Bravo & CHIC show. Colonial pool is large, maintained. We managed to get chairs. Hotel has a Hospitality room a guest can use when they first arrive. Rooms are not available until 3:00 pm. The same room can be used on the day you check out (and all hotel amenities) until 6:00 pm.

Overall we loved the resort, but our room wasn't cleaned the first two days and the resort is very large, a team was supposed to take us to and from our room and check in and check out, at check in after waiting a half hour we just walked, and for check out the tram came a half hour late.

Overall, staff was wonderful and the facilities were great.

Won’t be going back to this property again.

Never experienced line-ups for restaurants at an all-inclusive. We had to wait pretty much 30/40 mins to get inside the main restaurant for every meal.

Making a reservation for their specialty restaurants is like a mission.

And good luck getting water in your room. It takes a minimum of an hour to get anything in the room.

Screen door broken , tv broken , mold in bathroom , no blankets asked for one first night shows up at 2 in the morning . Hard to book alacartes . Service was slow. Lots of areas off limits unless you are an exclusive member .
