Pros: Amazing external soundproofing, some parts of the breakfast were delicious, staff were really lovely, comfy beds. Garden room is really nice! Shop across the road and Lidl down the road are handy.

Cons: Pillows were sort of like wisps of air- I had three and my husband had two and we still had to stick a cushion under them to gain any sleep. The bin in our bathroom had not been emptied when we arrived and had somebody else's sanitary products in. Cupboard was broken in the room. Weird bathroom setup in the room (not one for those who liked their privacy!). No toaster at all at breakfast, so couldn't even have toast, just bread.

I love nearly everything about this hotel, especially their use of recycling and being extremely eco-friendly. It’s very close to both trams and the underground. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a true delight with something for everyone. Everything is organic and sitting outside in the garden is simply a must!
I liked that the rooms have a free safe, and that the eco/recycling is present there too.

I would have liked better pillows but that is my only niggle. The room had lovely garden views and the sun shone through in the mornings. I felt safe at this hotel as a single woman and would visit again.

I liked the fact that they donate the left over food instead of throwing it out. I didnt like the fact that it didnt have ac in the room due to being eco friendly. The room was really warm had to take cold shower prior to sleeping also no ac to dinning room it really warm during breakfast. But the staff, breakfast, and everything else was good.

The property has a nice garden which rooms overlook, and you can sit and eat and drink. Very comfortable and quiet. No air, but this makes for earth friendly rooms. Breakfast not inlcuded, 16 euro per person, we went to local grocery store, 3 people for 5 euro.

Hotel With A Green Heart!

Stayed for three nights. The hotel is situated close to the U and regular trams to the city centre. The hotel is eco friendly and really makes an effort in this regard. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and we had a lovely view of the beautiful lush courtyard garden where, I imagine, it would be lovely to relax in the summer after a day sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent with lots of great organic options and what particularly struck us was the quality of the ingredients compared to many other hotels experienced in European cities.
We only scratched the surface of things to do in this wonderful city. We plan on returning to see more and will definitely stay in this welcoming hotel and recommend it to others.

Excellent choice!

Every one we encountered was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, clean and very well equipped for our needs, and the breakfast was beyond expectations. I really like what this hotel is trying to do eco wise. Good price for a hotel in an expensive city, close to tram and metro so easy to get into centre. Reception staff very helpful printing off train tickets and giving directions to the best trams/metro to use as there are lots . The only reasons I wouldn’t give it 5 out of 5 are the lack of a kettle in the room ( we like an early morning and late night cuppa but I appreciate this would increase their electricity use) and the warmth of the rooms . Given the temp in the 30s outside it would have been easier to sleep with better AC .

Friendly Eco Convenient Hotel with Peaceful Garden

5 nights in room 561, a lovely, bright, modern, fully accessible (wet floor shower) double room on the top floor with rooftop view & narrow balcony. Room spotlessly clean & bed was very comfy. Would have liked a mattress protector. Without air conditioning was very warm in the sunshine even with the fan & the door open but we understand that air con would not fit with the hotel’s green ethos. Their rooms are either modern or traditional townhouse so you could tell staff your preference.
Overall our stay was hugely positive. The staff without exception seem happy in their work & we found them so willing to help with assistance of whatever sort. As many others have said the organic continental breakfast choices are exceptional in our experience. The boiled eggs, nestling in a lidded wicker basket of clean hay even have happy messages written on them!! No plastic waste here from the whole buffet except (soya) yoghurt pots. Transport links were excellent. The Stadhalle concert venue is to the right on exiting, only 4 mins gentle walk. Also the 49 tram 2 mins walk takes you into central Vienna and connections (tram or underground were both found to be clean and incredibly easy) in 10 mins. Westbahnhof transport hub is 5 mins walk to the left as you exit the front of the hotel. We got the Airport bus there and back which was convenient and only €13 each return. Would recommend.

Lovely Hotel, great location.

The Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The decor of the room and public areas was very nice, and the room well equipped and comfortable. The WiFi was quite stable. A friend stayed in an accessible room with a spacious bathroom with shower chair. The breakfast was very good. The Hotel is a five minute walk from the Vienna Stadthalle, which was very convenient for us, and about 5-7 minutes from the Vienna Westbahnhof, where you can connect to trams, busses and the UBahn and there is a shuttle bus to the airport and trains to Salzburg, Bratislava and Prague. There are several good bars and restaurants in the area.

This is a lovely hotel in a quite area but close to public transport.
It's very eco friendly and it has a good selection of organic produce for breakfast.
The room we had was small but comfortable.
The only downside is there is no kettle in the room which is common in most hotels.
it has an inner courtyard which has green plants covering the entire building, and in good weather you can have breakfast outside although it was very busy during our stay.
We would come back.

Stylish, quirky, quiet, comfortable and impressively eco-friendly, this hotel is situation close to Westbahnhof enabling easy exploration of Vienna by the excellent Ubahn system. Good value Eco hotel with great breakfast

This hotel tries really hard to be better in many ways. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful and pleasant booking taxis, tours, printing tickets, and arranging breakfast packs when we had to depart early for our train to Venice. Vienna is full of history and culture and this hotel is easy walk to Weatnahnhoff train and tram station so you can get to Schoenbrunn amazing palace on 58 Tram and into the old town centre on U3 underground train. You can also get to main HBF international train station easily on 18 Tram. Room was compact but good price. Had safe, LCD TV, small bathroom, bed with firm mattress, duvet, table and 2 chairs. Mood lighting in different colours on each level eg red, gree, mauve was clever and nice for mood. Green landscaping in courtyard and on roofs was lovely and relaxing to,look at rather than just building and roof structures. The location is convenient, but still transitioning and gentrifying so some graffiti around and some working class pubs etc in neighbouring area which give the area character, even if not as charming. Supermarket across the road was handy to buy healthy snacks for our day trips. Recommended.

Unique and friendly experience. The sequence of passing through an outdoor courtyard prior to arriving at the hotel room plays up to an iconic European pattern language and tradition of space offerings. The Klimt wall hanging and room layout was carefully thought out.

A very Eco-friendly hotel

We started in a 'standard room' which was very spacious but we couldn't cope with street noise in the wee hours of the morning so after two nights we paid to upgrade to a 'comfort room'. This was certainly quieter, being away from the street but considerably more compact-particularly the bathroom. Given that we were asked on arrival if we wished to upgrade made us think that many others also find the street noise an issue.
The hotel prides itself on being energy self sufficient through use of solar panels as well as specific facilities to reduce any kind of carbon footprint. The downside of this was no tea/ coffee facilities in rooms.
The breakfast was delicious and super healthy!! Lots of organic and GF foods for the health conscious or food intolerant folk. The service was excellent -especially at breakfast time and all hotel staff were helpful and had good English (we had no German).
The location is good for public transport and there is a supermarket across the street. If you ride a bike, there are provisions for storing your bikes on site. Next to reception is a lovely lounge room with very cute coffee tables made from various arrangements of books -check them out if you stay. Another special feature of this hotel, is its beautiful,courtyard gardens and outdoor breakfast dining option. A beautiful tranquil spot to sit and read or share a romantic drink. From certain rooms you can also see the lavender rooftop garden which is very unique!

Clean, friendly, green and a tasty breakfast!

I stayed at this hotel for six nights and I could have happily stayed longer. Upon arrival I was greeted pleasantly by a member of the team, informed about the breakfast timings, a brief overview of the area with local transport etc. During my stay I also turned 24 and at breakfast the following morning I was given a very thoughtful birthday note and a pot of homemade marmalade made by the hotel, which was completely unexpected and made me slightly teary. The breakfast was outstanding, and I would have happily paid for it considering the extensive options and product freshness.

The hotel was impeccably clean, the staff were incredibly friendly, outgoing and more than willing to help. The eco-friendly aspects of this hotel are simply brilliant, certainly one of the reasons I booked to stay here, they go above and beyond any other hotel in this area and I feel this definitely sets them apart from any other hotel in Vienna. I would have no hesitate in staying here again or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Staff are really helpful and friendly - there is a great vibe to the hotel - the foyer has plants and flowers and the scent of lilies greet you when you arrived - cute touch of a fresh apple a day in the room

Close links to transport - we used the U3 to Simmering to get us into the centre from Westbahnhof station that is 5 mins walk from the hotel - There is a tram stop round the corner from the hotel that takes you to Dr Karl Renner strasse - but the U bahn was so much easier

Breakfasts are great at the hotel - fresh breads and cheeses and meats huge croissants and jams selection of fruit juices teas and a coffee menu - lots of healthy cereals etc so you can fill up before a full day sightseeing - not the place if you want a cooked breakfast as such - only scrambled or hard boiled eggs but that didn't bother us
Really great to think it's an eco hotel and makes you wonder if it's this good why other don't follow suit

We were there during a heat wave, and since it was a 'green' hotel it had NO AIR CONDITIONING. We were provided with a small table fan but it did not help much.

Charming hotel!!

I wanted a hotel near the train station and found this gem! Beautiful courtyards, gorgeous antique furniture in the room, and a wonderful buffet breakfast made this place feel like an \"experience\", not just a stopover. I would definitely stay here again, but I'd want to come when the lavender roof is in full bloom!!

We arrived on bikes doing the Danube cycleway. Lovely hotel. Receptionists excellent if very busy, and always answering the same questions on transport into the city centre and places to eat. Useful if they could provide printed sheet with this information as happenned at other hotels on our trip.
This is a minor quibble. It really is a lovely hotel.

BEAUTIFUL GARDEN IN THE CTY OF VIENNA

Green Hotel close to Vienna West Railwaystation and Tube. Fine Herbs garden, solar energy, every room has a different design, not a luxury hotel but very nice for travellers and young people. The rooms onlooking the inner garden are particularly quiet. Friendly staff.

Good for transport links.....

Very comfortable stay here. Good location for us as we used the train station a lot and that was really handy. Only downside was the lack of places to eat and drink locally. Apart from that a brilliant hotel.

Bio friendly hotel in very quiet area

Hotel staff was exceptionally nice. Hotel was very clean, bright, modern, cheerful, and breakfast was everything one could want. We were asked to upgrade in case of noise, but I don't think there was any chance of it in the area. The new room was a sleek, modern, bio friendly room - but certainly not any larger and I doubt any quieter (there was no noise). Overall lovely place to stay, but cost more than I expected in end.

Walking distance to Wien Westbahnhof

We arrived by train in Vienna (Hauptbahnhof). From there, it was a short taxi ride to the Hotel. The hotel is located in a very quiet street, just two blocks away from another major train station (Westbahnhof). The hotel lobby is simple and not very large. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We received our keys very quickly and we were in our room a few minutes after we arrived. The room size is very good. Bed and furniture quality is good but nothing fancy. The bathroom is, let’s say, different. It occupies one corner of the room. At first, I was suspicious, wondering if I would fit inside the shower area. However, during our stay we had no problem with it. The shower is good and the whole setting is very efficient with large shampoo/body wash containers (this is a green hotel). One good surprise was the breakfast next day. The selection is really good with plenty of organic choices. The only complaint is that they charge for espresso drinks. Regular coffee is free. Since the hotel is so close to a major train/subway/tram station, visiting the major sites in Vienna was quite easy using just public transportation. When we left, we asked if they could hold our luggage for a few days since we were going to visit Budapest before going back home. They allowed us to do that and with no extra charge. If you are going to Vienna, we recommend this hotel.

Fantastic 4-night stay

I was there for 5 days, 4 nights. My husband and I were visiting Vienna for the first time. We decided on this hotel based on previous reviews and they were absolutely correct. The rooms were comfortable even though the bathrooms are kinda integrated into the room in a very minimal way. It worked for us. The breakfast in the mornings was delicious with plenty to go around and many different options. And the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about the place. The neighborhood is quite but fine. Several independent shops within a few blocks. And the metro location (Westbanhoff-sp?) couldn't be better. It was a 5 minute walk away. And we had no problem taking the train into the center of town. It saved us LOTS of money on hotel expenses and the train was extremely easy to navigate. Only an 8-minute ride away from all the stuff to see. I cannot say it enough: stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful stay here

My stay at the hotel was quite great. It's a boutique hotel that does not try to be pretentious. My only complain would be that they charge you for coffee during breakfast which is sort of odd given everything else during breakfast is 'buffet style'

For the nightly cost, the Junior Suites represent terrific value. The private terrace is particularly good for resting with a beer after a hard days sightseeing.

Great stay

We stayed here for the night to break up our trip from Prague to Venice. The staff are wonderful, the hotel is lovely and I was really impressed that they are energy self sufficient. The staff really helped us with directions and a recommendation for dinner and they made getting around really easy for us. It was a great stay!

Vienna Visit

Very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent english. There is a small grocery right across the street that was very convenient. Our only negative is the rooms are small so a short stay was very comfortable but would not like to do a longer stay unless we got a larger room.
