Excellent! J'ai bien aimé mon séjour! Tout était parfait ☺️

The location is so convenient. Just two minutes walking distance from the mall. Lots of choices on restaurant.
The staff are welcoming and nice. I accidentally spill coke on the bed sheets and blanket. The front desk team give me the instructions how to handle the situation. And provide me with another set of blanket at 1:15am. Recommended.

Good experience the only matter was the bath tub was blocked.

I was very disappointed with the customer service during my stay.
I had booked two consecutive nights under two separate reservations. At check-in, I was specifically told that I would simply need to come to the front desk the following morning to have my room key reactivated. There was no mention that I would need to present the credit card again.
When I went to reactivate my key, I was kept waiting for 45 minutes because I did not have the credit card with me. My husband, who had made the reservation, had gone out. Despite explaining that all of my belongings were locked inside the room, that I was exhausted, and that I had a game to attend, I was told I could not access my room until he returned.
In the end, the only solution offered was for me to pay a second security deposit—twice the original amount—using my debit card, just so I could get back into my room.
I understand that hotels must follow security procedures, but this situation could have been avoided with clear communication at check-in or by handling the reservation transition more efficiently. The lack of flexibility and empathy made what should have been a simple key reactivation an unnecessarily stressful experience.

I liked the shower, the tv, the mattress but the pillows were too heavy for me.

Je sais qu'ils sont en rénovation mais un ouvrier est venu travailler sur notre fenêtre, ça fait bizarre, heureusement il n'a pas commencer trop tôt!

Great location. Very central.

Clean quiet room. Loved it. Staff was friendly. There was some updating maintenence going on but we hardly noticed
Mylene

Great staff and everything great

The hotel rooms were fully renovated in the last 2 years due to a flooding on the main floor. The rooms are clean and well maintained everyday. The only issue I had was the possibility of recharging my vehicle. The hotel said 4 level 3 chargers and 1 level 2. I needed Level 2 but it was covered with plastic. Also it had a regular yellow extension for 120 volts.
chris
It was a nice quiet place. No road noise, close to everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Annanthi
Nice and helpful staff. Would visit again with my family.

All in all, it was a very good stay and it's not the first time, I have been there up to four years ago. And whenever I come back to my place of birth, it will still be the Holiday Inn the Laval.
Best Regards,
Richard Magnan
P.S. It's at perfect location too!

Hotel is undergoing serious renovations and work is starting at 7am, noting spoke to this when I did the booking. Fairly disappointing when you are hoping to rest a bit.
Kirsten
My son was attending a championship at the aquatic center next door and this hotel was absolutely perfect for us--it was close so he could rest between races. It was clean and comfortable. I plan to stay here again.
Lise
Chambre propre staff accueillant,déjeuner super, très bien situé, juste l’hôtel a besoin d’un refreshing pour être au goût du jour

Room was quite good. One thing we didn’t like was they don’t give the complementary water in the room. The TV was not working because not the Google cast or AirPlay was working. otherwise, it was good stay.
Kevin
Easy access to a shopping mall and Le Carrefour bus stop for access to metro

The room was clear after each day, but i could feel the carpet floor wasn't always vaccum or cleaned. There was renovation at the hotel and while the hotel said that the worker were going to start at 7:00 AM, I could often hear them working as early to 6:16 AM.
marjolaine
J,ai vraiment aimé mon séjour. Le personnel est super accueillant et très gentil. J,y retourne très bientôt.
Julian
The hotel is under renovation but not advertised that it is. Loud doors closing all night. Rooms very clean and staff were nice. It should be advertised that the hotel is going through renovations and the price should reflect that, it did not.
Sheryl
We were not informed when we booked that the hotel is under renovation. We were woken up at 7 am with hammering and work being done on the premises. The least that should have been offered for this inconvenience to all guests is a breakfast included instead of being expected to pay over $22.00 for breakfast per person. I. Will not go back to this location or recommend it. The front service desk people were okay but nothing stellar given the circumstances. It was obvious when you drove up to the hotel that it was under renovation and there was a note at the front desk apologizing for the inconvenience and that there would be ongoing construction starting at 7 am. Not good enough for guests who are expecting a relaxing stay
Tina
Breakfast was great! Love the choices and fresh fruit.
Room was a little disappointing. The bed was comfortable. A package of tea was open. We had to ask for regular coffee pods (only decaf in the room), I dropped something by the nightstand but carpet was too dirty to try to retrieve it.
Construction on the building began at 7:00 am.
However, there were many pluses and was able to leave luggage there for pick up later.
The front desk staff was amazing.

As of April 24, this hotel is undergoing major renovations. I was fortunate to stay in a newly renovated room. It was very nice. Beautiful new furniture. Lovely headboard with great lighting. The new windows are incredibly sound proof. If I have the opportunity to stay in Laval again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Joel
location was good

The hotel was under construction, traveling for work, working nights, impossible to sleep during the day due to construction...

The hotel was under construction and I wouldn’t have booked with them had I known. Beyond the noise the hallways and elevator were covered in dust and construction debris and my room smelt of dust and the air quality was horrible
Margaret Ellen
I have a very nice room, clean, quiet and a nice temperature for sleeping. The shower was easy to use and the bathroom was clean with lots of towels. The staff went out of their way to help me get taxis and were very kind. I like the breakfast buffet and the hostess was such a nice lady. She was there to take away my used dishes and to refill my tea. She is a great asset to the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn and if I am ever in Laval again I will stay there for sure.
Mary
Renovation we’re going on and parking was a mess.
Jaime
The staff was courteous
Alison
The hotel is currently under major renovations. The first room we got reeked of off gas from brand new carpet that was just installed. There were tarps everywhere and the parking lot was brutal with all the garbage bins and extra cars from construction workers. On top of this I found the hotel staff very far from accommodating. Everything we inquired about seemed to be a nuisance. We were staying here with a team and when asked if we could use the breakfast room to sit down in and connect after our games it was a hard no. They weren’t open to offering anything or helping set us up. Would not recommend
Nicole
Staff was lovely and room was clean. I didn’t love the workers loudly outside my window on scaffolding when I was trying to sleep. Also didn’t like not having a window due to renovation. It would have been nice to know in advance
Christine
Hotel was under construction. Pool was not open. We were awakened at 7am by loud construction noises right outside our window.
Nathalie

Jeremy
Construction outside but the interior was pleasing and the room was flawless.
Gail
Everything was great but the section we were in would need to be upgraded
Megan

Hôtel was in rénovation i had my Windows booked an workers come at 6:20 in the morning waking me up. The changed my room the ring me the hôtel was almost empty. Why give me this room in the first place?
They gave me a free breakfast as conpansation

Under renovation, new pool, new rooms. Would have given it a 5 star if the pool was open/ready. Clean rooms. Great place to crash for a night
David
Place itself was quite nice, despite setback with hot water issue, they more than made up with a generous points compensation.
Thank you Tarik and Rachida!

Room clean but the Hotel was under major contruction which was loud during day. Pool closed. Staff unhelpful and pretty and much said if you didnt book through Expedia you would have known about the contruction. There was also a loud team of female athletes staying that kept my partner up being loud.
Raya
Everything met my expectations! Loved that the rooms are newly renovated.
Sylvain
Nice room

Construction was being done to the hotel so it wasn’t the best of appearances

Great location, near good shopping and the hockey arena

AC was fine, breakfast was 21,98 $ for a stale buffet horrible, the hotel is under renovation I wish you told Me that so I could've chose a different hotel, the front desk at checking was very shady, she gives us just one room until I asked what about the second room and she told Me that it's only four of us and there are two Queen bed's in the room , I had to remind her that I pay for two rooms after that she asked for My card for deposit even though I already paid and I was supposed to be reimbursed when I was checking out but the lady that was there told Me that it will take a few days to get the money back in the account, I am not happy .
Anthony
Newly renovated room was clean and very pleasant. The staff was very accommodating and attentive.

Great location
Very happy with this weekend away, had a show at Place Bell, so great location! We walked to the venue and the mall across the street! Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and even though it's not a must have, we were very please with the charging station for electric cars. We'll be back!
Susan
The hotel was under construction, which is a great thing. But could use better lighting in the rooms. Was dark
Todd
Not happy. Fire alarm went off at 7am. It was a faults alarm. The lower floors are being renovated. Hotel.com should have mentioned that when we booked.

The staff were very friendly, the hotel was generally clean and safe. The location was amazing.
However during the bookings it said that it had a restaurant and a pool, but in reality the hotel was on renovation and we couldn't use any of them.
The management was super greedy, the advertisement was showing that the breakfast was included, but on the first morning we learnt that it was not included. To make it even worse, they asked $3.75 for a cup of coffee saying that you do not have breakfast option with your reservation.
It is not a good approach if someone is paying almost $1,000 to your hotel and you refuse to serve them a cup of coffee.

Great Stay
My stay was very enjoyable. The restaurant was under construction which was disappointing but I was given a 15% discount at near by restaurants. The Front desk staff was very kind

It was a wonderful experience. Very clean and organized room.
They may provide water bottle for making coffee.
It's not that much affordable but worth for the safety and neatness.

The hotel is fine, no issues.
The breakfast, for which I was charged $25 was appalling - there were no eggs, potatoes and the few sausages were old.
I would appreciate being refund for me and my son, who barely ate anything.

Very old hotel. We slept here and had to hang out at the Sheraton. No coffee in the lobby and no extra amenities. They need to step it up. Rooms were ok beds were cozy but in desperate need of a Reno.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is under renovation. Had to switch room because air conditioner broken and a group of students in the halls.

Very disappointing stay
Very disappointed that upon arrival we were told the pool and restaurants were closed due to Reno’s, we booked this specific hotel for those amenities, they were shown on this site, there was no warning that they would not be available and all we were offered was 15% off a restaurant offsite.
Melanie
This hotel needs a lot of care
We were not tell on the moment of the reservation that there was renovations on going and that the restaurant and gym were closed.
The fridge in the room was making so much noise that we had to unplugged it.
Bathroom was not as clean has espected, soap was missing
No usb plug available in the room.
AC makes an awfull sound when starts.
For the price we paid the room, really disappointed
