All rooms face the Ocean, view is obscured by other buildings and the Palm Trees. Only complaint I have, the Bar across the Street on the Beach was blaring Hip Hop Music until 1:00
AM. Had to fall asleep with the room thumping from the Bass.

We had a city view. The room was well kept and the maid service was great. The staff really rose to the occasion during the cartel violence. They managed to put together a dinner for everybody even though it was dangerous to go out and buy food. The pool area at the roof is very good. We really enjoyed the stay.

This is the most beautiful spot- the rooftop pool is HEATED gloriously warm, and the views are unreal. The rooms are spacious with gorgeous views. Our family of 5 was very comfortable in the 2 king bed room. The food at the rooftop pool was affordable and delicious. The breakfast was made to order and absolutely wonderful!! The location was walkable to the Malecon and Romantic Zone but it was a quiet, uncrowded hotel which is exactly what we wanted. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants the convenience of walkability/ fantastic included breakfast/ amazing pool with low crowds. We saw whales from the balcony!!

My friend and I had a great stay at the Paramar in Penthouse 2. The views over the ocean were incredible, wonderful breakfasts were far more than continental and the accommodation overall was very good. However, the beach is not ideal in front of the hotel - gritty sand, and if you enjoy beach walks you are very limited in how far you can go due to large rocks and barriers. When Miseal checked us in his focus was so entirely on trying to sell us on various excursions, that he failed to tell us not to drink the water in our room. We were both affected by Traveler's gastro from Day 2 of our trip onwards. Needless to say, this affected our ability to fully enjoy our stay. We also had to repeatedly ask the bartender to turn down the music which was so loud that it made being by the pool less than ideal.

Clean, well maintained room and property. Pretty boutique-style hotel. Directly across from beach. Tons of restaurants, shops, and services nearby. Very friendly and professional staff. Another reviewer said area was dirty. We didn’t feel that at all and always felt safe. The neighborhood is a local/tourist mix. It’s authentic and charming. If you’re expecting a generic high-end resort vibe, go elsewhere.

Rooms are just as seen on site, we had an ocean view balcony- lots of hydro wires but could watch all the beach activities. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Weekends the music from the restaurant/bar across the street gets loud and they play club music till well after midnight but overall a great stay

The hotel fell down in numerous ways and is not even a 3 star. It is not really beachfront with two buildings and many power lines and cables blocking the sea view. Breakfast was skimpy with only one main menu item generally allowed and a complete breakfast requiring further payment. Pool was small and did not have adequate lounge chairs and umbrellas. Balcony suffered from light pollution with a bright porch light having no turn off switch. Would not stay here again.

Clean, comfortable room in good condition with nice bath and shower, the kitchenette is a very nice perk, filtered water free of charge, awesome rooftop pool with a very good bar/grill, delicious complimentary made to order breakfast. The staff is super friendly. I liked
the central location - very walkable to the malecon and shopping, restaurants and bars. The beach is ok, and it's right there and as others have noted you can hear the waves. If you want a better beach experience you can Uber easily. I didn't think it was too weird to dispose of the paper in the waste basket instead of flushing. I'd rather have a working toilet! All-in-all a great experience and I would stay here again.

I want to make a special shout out to Hector he provided the best service i have had in a hotel ever he deserves a raise or a promotion he puts in the extra work is extremely kind and has provided us with the best local spots, went out of his way to get us food and water from nearby markets multiple times and stayed past his shift to help us find places and things to do during the nightlife not only the amazing service this hotel has great food drinks and amenities highly recommended. Clemente and Miguel provide amazing service at the pool and made our stay fantastic recommend

It was a fine hotel. They give you chairs and an umbrella for the beach. There is no saved area on the beach. You have to carry everything and set it up. They only have chairs. Nothing you can lounge on. Everything was clean, but dated.

The rooftop pool and bar was surprisingly good. We enjoyed sipping margaritas (which were excellent) while watching the sunset over the ocean and listening to live music (which is there on Friday 4-6pm)

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space.

One downside was that the immediate vicinity around this hotel is a bit crowded and noisy and unplanned.

This isn’t a hotel with a grand lobby or extensive facilities. This is a hotel with comfortable functional rooms, good views and centrally located.

Only negative things are the tvs are a little small and internet can be sketchy at times.. but besides those 2 things, I plan on staying there again in a few months.

Our stay at the Paramar was absolutely fantastic. The property was ideally located across from the beach and tucked away one street from the main hustle and bustle. Perfect to walk around. The room was excellent -- very clean, well equipped, and exactly as shown in the pictures. We stayed in a city-view room, which had a nice view looking south. The rooftop pool was beautiful and very well maintained. The breakfast was perfect to start the day (you were able to select from a wide variety of options; not buffet style) . I searched extensively for the ideal hotel when booking this trip initially, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the Paramar. We will absolutely stay here again when visiting Puerto Vallarta in the future.

The Paramar offers guests the ability to make simple meals within there rooms by offering a full fridge, microwave and cooktop complete with cooking equipment and dishes. The rooms are a little dated but very comfortable with each room having a private balcony. The rooftop pool is heated and offers gorgeous sunsets and a happy hour. The area is walkable to the Malecon and the beach is directly across the street. The area features several small restaurants and feels very safe.

This hotel was amazing from the moment I arrived. Supper helpful staff made me feel welcome right off the bat. My room was spotless and housekeeping was immaculate would come when I was out. The view from the room was spectacular and the location perfect for a restful vacation. They supplied umbrellas and chairs for the beach and beach towels to make the beach very accessible. The roof top pool and snack bar was nice to have for easy access to relaxation and comfort. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others. Thank you so much:)

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcomed—kind, personable, and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was a daily highlight: cooked fresh to order from a menu and served on a gorgeous outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery. I made it a relaxing morning ritual!

My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. Thoughtful touches like a beach bag to borrow, an aroma diffuser, and an Alexa speaker made the stay feel extra special. The AC worked perfectly, and I appreciated the energy-saving key system.
The location couldn’t be better—the beach is literally right across the street! Beach chairs and umbrellas were complimentary, and you can swap out beach towels 24/7 at the front desk.

When I needed a break from the sand, the rooftop pool was perfect—open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with comfy lounge chairs and a great restaurant/bar.

Additionally, the hotel was walking distance (~3-5mins) to a bunch of yummy restaurants and taco/burrito spots!

I loved it so much that I extended my stay for an additional 2 nights, and they let me stay in the room rather than check out/in! Every detail of this hotel felt intentional, making my stay both relaxing and memorable. I can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Much nicer then I even anticipated. Breakfast that was included was a choice of hot drinks, choice of juices and then a choice fron the Al la carte menu. All was delicious. The pool was clean and the seats were plentiful n very comfortable with lots of umbrellas. There was a bar ( that could of opened earlier IMO) that had great dribks at a reasonable price. The rooms were cleaned daily, kitchen was well equipped and whole unit for more modern then I expected. The view from balconey was wonderful and patio furniture was great to din outside or morning coffee. The staff was friendly and efficient. Id def recommend this hotel.

The facility is beautiful! The view of the ocean was my absolute favorite next to the rooftop pool at sunset and the rooftop terrace during a lightning storm! At the top there is a 360 degree view of the area! Its stunning in the day and stunning at night!

The breakfast was delish and can make add ons for an affordable cost that is charged to ur room at the end. There is something for everyone! The authentic dishes were my favorite!

The room was clean and modern looking! We were on the second floor. The view was incredible! There was a kitchenette that was fully stocked! We went to the grocery store and acquired some items for lunches and fruit so we only had to buy dinner out! Worked out amazing!

The facility location is about 10 minute walk to the Melecon! Therefor it was far enough away that it was quite peaceful at night! Not a party area in the night! There were restaurants and eateries fust feet from the hotel. There is an OXXO around the corner where we picked up some drinks and snacks and water. The water at the facility is drinkable but we opted for bottled water anyway! Spent a lot of time at the rooftop pool eating the delicious and affordable drinks and food at the concession at the roof top pool! The staff were pretty helpful.

The downside: I was told more people speek English in PV which I did not find to be true. We did get ourselves in a bit of a situation at a beach bar where we felt we were taken advantage of. Only the taxi driver we had spoke Englis

La playa que esta frente al hotel no es la mejor, tiene muchas piedras y es riesgosa. La estancia estuvo sin eventualidades, salvo que a la llegada nos encontramos con que el recepcionista estaba pidiendo identificaciones de todos los huespedes --- a todos, no solamente a la persona que hizo la reservacion como el 99.999% de los hoteles lo hace e intentaba sacar copias fotostaticas de todas las identificaciones para quedarse con ellas sin niguna explicacion o motivo aparente---. Se lo hicimos notar a esta persona y de mala manera siguio su proceso de recepcion simulando que hablaba por telefono con alguien que no le contesto. Fuera de eso, el resto del personal es amistoso y servicial.

My favorite thing about the hotel was the kitchen staff and some of the reception staff - a nice vibe. The view on the rooftop was also nice.Swimming in the ocean near the hotel was also great, as was hearing the waves at night.

What I liked least:

* Noisy AC unit outside the room could be heard inside.
* Bright cold white lights.
* Bare, drab room style
* The breakfast menu is good and extensive. However the truth is \"you receive one option of one drink and one option for one item to eat,\" not a free breakfast. For example if you want oatmeal AND fruit you pay for one of them. Coffee AND juice - you pay for one.
* Hot and humid in the reception and breakfast area with zero fans or AC.

Great downtown location, comfirtable and clean.

Good location, ample, comfortable room, great sunset views, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast choices.
Would have liked having coffee/tea available in the room, iron & board.

I have zero complaints about this hotel. The staff were amazing. The AC is freezing in the room. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, lots of dietary friendly options to choose from. The pool was great. Everything was clean. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
