Our experience was a first of its kind staying at a luxurious resort like Vidanta. It was an amazing experience, the security and safety you feel is like no other. When we dropped our vehicle off at the central lobby they had police dogs sniffing luggage and vehicles and we were quite impressed especially since we had children and safety is a priority when traveling outside your home country. We were taken via golf cart to Jungala Hotel where we were greeted by respectable concierge staff with mimosas. Our room was beautiful spacious and clean- my daughter especially enjoyed the chocolates at turndown service and us adults loved the espresso machine. We only ate here on check in day because we are travelers not vacationers, food was on the pricier side but it was good. My daughter and I pool hopped one day and really enjoyed the beach club, this resort is huge and we opted to walk back to Jungala Hotel, we got lost a couple times and understood why the golf cart service to and from is necessary but the signage posted did help us find our way eventually. I also want to mention that the golf cart drivers work so hard and give great advice and details/history of the area. They also have laundry services on site which is very nice. Overall pleasant and beautiful experience and I see myself coming back here.

Beautiful property. Very friendly and abundant staff. Jose at Jungala Hotel catered to our every need. He was the most attentive concierge we have ever had. Food was excellent. Lots of choices. The only negative was price of meals and goods (sunscreen was more than $45!!)

all was excellent, I had only one detail with a guy that was at the central lobby who looks was working for a external company trying to sell tickets to short trips around la Rivera Maya who start telling me that all other companies are informal and likely they will not pick me up to my day tour. This little detail broke the excellent experience at the hotel, so the administration should be very careful with that people who is allowed at the lobby.

The room at Jungala was very spacious and quite well maintained. The decor was also nicer than the other hotels on the property. Pools were excellent and we loved the cabanas for free if you spend money on food. I would recommend booking dining at restaurants instead of eating at Salum all the time, we found the service at Salum to be hit and miss.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights without 3 year old daughter and had an amazing time. The whole property is absolutely spotless and the staff and service was fantastic.
The room at Jungala was beautiful and the ability to shut off the living room as a child’s bedroom was great.
We loved riding the golf carts through the jungle to each of the pools and amenities. It must be noted that the resort was very quiet when we went (early May) and that definitely made an impact on the experience. We had no wait times for transportation and quite often had whole pools to ourselves!
Overall we could not recommend enough and will be back!
Special shout out to the concierge staff who always went above and beyond!
Food and drinks are pricy but the portions and quality were excellent.

Loved everything about Jungala / VidantaWorld. The entire property was beautiful and we saw so many different plants and animals. The restaurants were excellent. The staff were all kind and helpful. Having a personal concierge was especially helpful for planning activities and transportation. The room layout was very nice and the separate bedroom for the parents and two separate beds (with trundles) in the living room and two bathrooms helped us not feel like we were on top of one another.

Un remerciement spécial à Arturo, Vanessa et Ariana nos concierges. Arturo parle un français impeccable. Ils ont été très sympathique et ont contribué à organiser l’anniversaire de mon mari à la piscine. Merci encore!

Également à la piscine du grand luxe merci à Francisco, toujours un plaisir de le revoir. Un serveur impeccable et sympathique.

Ensuite, merci à Alan, mixologue au tramonto, notre ami Daniel, le meilleur serveur du Tramonto et Angel le meilleur serveur du Gong.

Un voyage à la hauteur de nos attentes. La nourriture est excellente, oui un peu chère, mais ça en vaut la peine.

Seule recommandation pour l’hôtel: un transport de l’aéroport pourrait être inclus dans le prix, ce serait apprécié. Mais sinon tout était parfait!

We had a wonderful week at Jungala! The hotel was great… the room was huge and beyond what I expected! Separate master with en suite, full dining area, kitchen, and a lounge area with two sofa beds with a dividing wall where our 10 and 13 year olds slept - they also had their own bathroom and closet. Plus a huge balcony across the whole apartment! Tons of space.
The whole Vidanta resort is beautiful. Everything is immaculate. As guests at Jungala we had access to all the pools and priority on the golf buggies to get around - although we walked a lot as the whole resort is connected with wooden walkways through the ‘jungle’. We did the waterpark one day - it’s fun but small so one day was plenty. We ate at different restaurants throughout the resort every night - all great food and service, although they are on the pricer side. We also went to ‘Joya’ which we all loved and would recommend. Spent a lot of our time at the ‘beach club’ - loved it! (FYI you do have to get there early to reserve a spot) Beach/ocean was a little disappointing as it’s very rocky so not really suitable for swimming.
Service throughout the resort was faultless. The concierge team at Jungala were on hand 24/7, quick to respond and made our stay easy! We had such a relaxing, fun week… we don’t often revisit resorts but this could be an exception! Would highly recommend.

This place is absolutely amazing ! We booked through expedia for their Junagala hotel and travelled with our kids aged 4,8, and 10 .
The property is massive but ever since check in we never felt that was a hinderance . There are ample golf carts to go around , we waited max 10 mins for one and that was rare .
We arrived early , check in was slated for 3 but we were there by 1pm . However this wasnt an issue cause we were very kindly taken to the main check in area and it was suggested by the staff that we change and head down to the pools and lunch while they got the room ready and gave us a slip with details of our bags .
Had a lovely meal and went straight to the pools and then went over to junagala and our beautiful room was ready by 315 pm .

The room was exquisite. , clean , modern , and had all the amenities we wanted including pots and pans to use . There was a beautiful cheese board ( i half wish that that was provided daily ) and a fruit tray .
Rooms were cleaned daily very well , we had one day when our room wasnt cleaned till 4 pm and on mentioning this to the staff they made it a point that it didnt happen again . We had a wts app chat group going with the concierge which was very very helpful from booking restraunts to calling the golf carts .
The grounds are exquisite , clean , well maintained and beautiful. Everyday for 7 days literally we discovered a new pool. Jungala guests get the cabanas free of cost and that was wonderful .

Big property with lots of pools (never felt crowded). Food was good and on pricier side. You have to shuttle everywhere and wait time is manageable. Kids club has good varieties of activities. One off experience for us was a dinner reservation was booked/confirmed. When we arrived, we found out the restaurant was closed. Concierge was able to find alternative quickly.

The hotel is very well maintained, clean, and the rooms are spacious. The service was excellent throughout our stay. The food was great across all the restaurants, including room service.

At check-in, we were asked to put down a $1,500 deposit toward dining within the resort, which we declined. It’s worth noting that food prices are on the higher side, and a 20% gratuity is automatically added everywhere—even for small purchases like ice cream at a stand.

The location is convenient, with easy access to Playa del Carmen—we went there one evening and it was a nice option nearby.

This property was gorgeous. We stayed with our family of 4, including 2 teenage sons. There was something for everyone. The staff was wonderful and extremely attentive. The pools, gyms and restaurants were all amazing. My only complaint- not even really a complaint, is that the property doesn’t have food close by unless you do room service. The room service was excellent, tons of food for the price. They offered coffee in the lobby but would have been nice to have a place to have drinks or light snack without having to walk a great distance. We CHOSE to walk a lot but there are golf cart shuttles any time you want. The staff was extremely extremely attentive. They helped arrange all things from transportation, to reservations to recreation off property!
We didn’t want to leave and definitely will be back!

ATTENTION: there is no swimable beach! Rocky everywhere. It’s terrible :( please look somewhere else if want to walk and swim in the beach

Food: we didn’t want an all inclusive because we wanted quality food. Well I felt like we were basically just paying for food that would actually be at an all inclusive. It just wasn’t fresh. You’re paying triple for everything here by the way. It’s a full on money trap.

Room: the update and style was very pretty showers were nice. The room itself if you lower the ac you start to smell a musty smell. All of are closes were moist from all the moisture in the rooms from it being so humid in the jungle. It wasn’t pleasant. We did also find a cockroach in our room. We did keep our windows closed.

Property: remember if you want coffee and snack you need to physically take a trolly to get there and it’s not convenient what’s so ever. Leaving property is expensive and other cities are about 30min away.

Staff: wonderful best part of the place .

Jungala is a very nice resort but it is too far away from everything. There are no amenities at the property itself and you have to either walk for a looooong time (15 mins plus) or take the shuttle to get to even basic stuff like coffee, food and drinks, not to mention restaurants, spa and beach/pool. The shuttle is only available upon call. Also, although the staff are very nice, they are not able to help with spa/ cabana / restaurant reservations or anything really. They kept telling me they would add to their Whatapp channel but they never did. On the whole, Vidanta is huuuuge and I would recommend staying at a hotel closer to the action like Grand Mayan, Bliss etc. rather than Jungala.

Stuff was amazing. Cleaning lady was amazing but we didn’t get the concept- rocky beach. Super huge territory- you have to order the golf car to get anywhere there. Outdated restaurant (but great food), outdated everything really. Super cold pool. Unless you have access to the beach club pool that is actually heated- good luck swimming in their main pool.
Prices for food were even more expensive than in the US! Lunch for 5 ppl- $260. Dinner - $370
Try not to go bankrupt there just on food. We will not be coming back there

Vidanta Jungala was a wonderful experience and holiday for my family and friends. We were made to feel very special as VIPs when we arrived. Although you travel on golf carts for much of your stay, they are always very attentive and on time. The restaurants are amazing, the facilities are gorgeous and the pools are lots of fun. The beach club was a highlight of our vacation too.

Las albercas y las instalaciones en general muy buenas. La comida no es tan increíble como para lo que cuesta. Definitivamente es un hotel súper súper caro y desafortunadamente no nos quedamos con la sensación que vale lo que cuesta. El servicio de concierge antes de la llegada era un plus pero no se cumplió lo que le pedí de sorpresa para mi esposo hasta que se lo recordé un día después de la llegada, no explican claramente las amenidades y contestan como si debiéramos de saber. Lo que está súper bien y da un servicio increíble es el concierge ya en el hotel, hizo la diferencia en el servicio. Honestamente no sé si regresaremos

I can’t say enough good things about Jungala! This was one of the best experiences I’ve had - we were a little worried about what we would come into as some of the Vidanta owners have complaints about their ownership plans but THIS is the model Vidanta should follow. The hotel gets the highest level of access to all parts of the resort, private concierge, private transportation all over the 1000 acre resort.

We LOVED walking the jungle paths to our room which was enormous and beautifully appointed. I could not have asked for more. We saw lots of wild life and the environment is so peaceful.

As a rule, my family does not return to the same resort as we want to see more of the world but we all want to return here! ♥️

Definitely see Joya - it was fabulous!

This place is the most beautiful place that we have stayed at in the Riviera Maya…and we ha f stayed in many. The staff are so so friendly, kind and helpful. We stayed 10 days. The kids loved it and I appreciated the conservation of the land and waters. Just be mindful that food and activities there are expensive. We went and ate in Playa del Carmen as well as grocery shopped which helped. It’s worth it. Would definitely stay again.

We just returned yesterday after a one-week stay at the Jungala Hotel and I wanted to give you some tips/thoughts

My family of 3 stayed in room 1855 - no stairs and around the corner from the concierge and the coffee (FREE!) No complaints about the room - it’s stunning! Bring a wine stopper, salt and pepper! Cleaning staff and concierge were fantastic

Restaurants: make resos ahead through concierge on What’s App

Salum - it has a great vibe - very picturesque - plenty of food options you can’t go wrong

Gong - Asian inspired - Lobster roll and Pad Thai were incredible - must try!

Tramonto - ONLY OPEN Thurs-Sun - Italian - Get the fresh pasta made at the table! Burrata is a must-have

Nektar - Beet salad out of this world along with the clay pot for 2 and view of JOYÀ - stunning views and vibe - don’t miss this one!

Havana Moon - live band - dancing - played late 80s - food is good not outstanding

We didn’t make it to The Grill - steakhouse - heard great things ($$$)

Beach: you can’t swim at the beach it’s rocky - bring water shoes if you wish to explore - lots of seaweed/waves

Pools: MUST go to the Beach Club - we were Grand Luxxe so we had access. Not everyone has access - Line-up no later than 9:15am to get a cabana - opens at 10am. This by far was our favourite pool hang - we went almost every day.

Jungala Hotel got the memo! Highly recommend!

Our room at Jungala was amazing!! Our sons had their own space which they appreciate being teenage boys. We only had one small issue trying to get a new clothes steamer for 3 days but that was small compared to our whole experience. The pools are beautiful, the staff are amazing and area is breathtaking. It was so easy to get to and from the airport. We also went into Playa Del Carmen. They got us a taxi and then when we returned we called for transportation back to our hotel. Sometimes you have to wait for transportation but it was never long. All staff were very accommodating!! We would definitely go back.

The room was cleaned “okay” upon our arrival to the room, although few garbage pieces were still present from previous occupants. Not a big deal but still 😐

The room cleaning is inconsistent, one day cleaned, next no, same with nightly turn down service, it was done not on every night.

Concierge service in What’s app is not good and the only thing that made us unhappy. We were let down on dinner reservations many times with empty promises and no follow ups. They need to seriously work on this issue.

Beach is very rocky with seaweed, although they have nice soft daybeds with shade on the beach. If great beach to swim is important to you, it’s not the place for you then.

The food is amazing and portions are big but we had to tell about daughter’s nut allergies ourselves, no one ever asks about it at the time of food ordering. Would be great if they did. Also it’s about and hour to get the food after ordering, keep that in mind.

The beach club is very very nice! Service is great at the beach club! Very hardworking staff 🙏

The grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly. All the cart drivers are very nice and friendly.

Overall we had an excellent vacation! Will consider to come back again in the future.

The room, property, and amenities were all great. The staff were absolutely incredible! Shout out Paulino and Vanessa. We don’t remember everyone’s names but they were all super helpful and next level hospitality. We arrived and they had a charcuterie board in the room and refilled bottle water regularly as well as coffee pods. We went to playa Del Carmen for most of our groceries and we also visited Puerto Morelos nearby for lunch/shopping and to pick up some more items. We took taxis for both travels and they arrange it through concierge. Jade boutique had grocery, deli, coffee shop and touristy items as well. Restaurants are very expensive around Vidanta especially with the CDN conversion but room service and pool side wasn’t as pricey. Woodfire pizza was delicious. We enjoyed the water park, Cirque du Soleil show and crocodile/flamingo tour on the property. Wonderful holiday 👌☀️

This resort IS TOO BIG. RIDICULOUS! You have to take a shuttle bus everywhere you go to get anywhere, insane food prices, jungala water park not included even though you're staying at Jungala?? Beautiful rooms, pools are pretty nice (but cold), but beach is rocky and not swimmable. Overall would not return. Staff are super nice but the size of the resort makes their job at trying to reserve stuff / restaurants/ communication near impossible. Just trying to do a load of laundry took an act of God. Never again.

Extremely disappointing and materially misrepresented online.

Jungala Hotel is not a resort. It is simply three buildings with about 52 rooms located inside a massive 1,000-acre timeshare complex shared with six other properties: Grand Mayan, Grand Luxxe, Grand Luxxe Jungle, The Bliss, Residences, and Mayan Palace.

Most photos shown online (everything outside the rooms) are from those other resorts and do not represent the Jungala Hotel itself.

The reality of this stay is constant commuting. The Jungala buildings contain rooms only. There are no pools, restaurants, bars, gyms, spa facilities, or beach access at the hotel itself. Every pool, restaurant, gym, spa, and activity is located at other resorts within the complex and shared with thousands of timeshare guests. Getting anywhere requires golf carts, often with 20+ minute waits and 15–25 minute rides.

The listing references a private beach and water slides, which is misleading. The beach is not private and is shared with all properties. It is about a 15-minute ride away at the south end of the complex. There are no pools or water slides at the hotel. The Jungala Water Park is a separate paid attraction (about $75 per person per day).

There is no real concierge (only golf cart dispatch) and no physical kids club or staffed drop-off facility.

Rooms are nice, but everything else requires leaving the property.

Pros: staff was super kind and helpful everywhere, the Jungala hotel suite is beautiful, shower, bath products, main pool, Jade store, ability to walk on jungle paths everywhere or take trams, food in most restaurants is good! Jungala Aqua Park was awesome. Not too big. Great for a young family.

Cons: doors in suite dont all close completely (closets, bathrooms), concierge is very available but doesn't always follow through on requests (asked 3 times for child's bed to be made in living room but just ended up doing it ourselves with sheets provided in closet)

Wow! Really blown away by our experience at the Jungala. The room was spacious, clean and very well designed. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch and the occasional dinner.

All the staff were so courteous, positive, kind and hospitable.

The grounds are beautiful and lush ans the boardwalks are a lovely way to get around. The pools are fantastic. The Cirque du Soleil show was magical. The aqua park was a blast. We loved going to Salum for dinner or ice cream or entertainment in the evenings.

We would stay much longer if we could…

The worst part of our trip was the food. We only ended up going to the Italian restaurant because to be honest the food is probably a 1 at best 2/5 with 5/5 pricing.

The property is stunning. I really appreciate how they have tried to maintain a more natural setting. The grounds are immaculately maintained. The room configuration was ideal for our family of four. The rooms are generously sized and we and our children had the ability to have private sleeping space, two full baths, and a kitchenette. The water park was a lot of fun for adults and children. It was not overly crowded and the wait for slides was manageable. The park was small enough the tween-aged children could explore as a group while the adults enjoyed the lazy river. However, I would expect that guests of the hotel would at least receive a discount on tickets to the water park, which was disappointing given we could see the park from our room. I would have rated excellent except we had problems at check in which required multiple escalations before being resolved (room access not working, unable to use room charge, no turndown, etc.). We also had errors on our final bill which took an hour to resolve after multiple attempts, and we were mistakenly charged the MXN amount in USD. While corrected, the hotel could provide no evidence that an almost $40,000 USD charge was reversed before I left. The pre-arranged transport for our return was not arranged until we double checked. Overall, we had a very good experience, but I would think twice before visiting again due to the stressful operational challenges which took away from the relaxing vacation I was seeking.

We arrived to Mexico and had asked for private transportation. After searching in the airport for 45 min with 4 small children, we were told to go on a bus. The bus had roaches in it. Then we arrived at the hotel, they took so long to check us in at 10pm, then took us to the wrong hotel. We were then told to go to a different hotel. And then by the time we were at our room with our luggage it was 12:30am. Bad check in. The concierge was responsive but inaccurate - none of the reservations we made were actually confirmed and we didn’t get to eat at any of the restaurants we wanted. Cleaning was not up to par as there were roaches in our room and they had forgotten to clean the dishes and bring towels. Overall, for the amount of money we paid and the amount of nicer resorts there are in Cancun for less money, this was not worth it.

Excellent room, wonderful staff. The food was very good. Be aware and able to accept the fact that to get anywhere on the grounds, you need to be driven in golf cart – this includes to a restaurant. Room service is great, the waterpark was fantastic. The beach conditions are not really ideal for swimming, but still beautiful, and the pools are lovely.

This was an amazing place to stay with kids. The facilities were amazing and the pool was gigantic. The room was wonderful and the two kids could sleep in their own beds in the living room. Down side is food by the pool takes along time to arrive so we recommend purchasing from Jade market next to pool. Also note- breakfast buffet is 50.00/adult so we don’t recommend that. Room service food arrived cold. We recommend stocking your kitchenette with food to avoid these overpriced options.

Went in blinded. Thought the waterslides were included only to find out everything is extra. Food pricey and for a week we saw the same menu over and over except for Gong and Nektar. Signs on the property are misleading. You can follow them only to get NO WHERE. Should be listed as private property with a hotel for visiting family members.

Large luxury one bedrooms with all amenities and exceptional service from the concierge team made for a great trip. Jungala Park is not exactly next to the pools and beaches but transportation services is always only a minute away. Aqua Park, Cirque du Soleil Show and countless of food options make Vidanta - Jungala a great destination for all.

The suites are roomy, spotless, tastefully decorated with almost any amenity you would need. The service was impeccable. We had access to the grounds & pools of the other beautiful hotels within the Vidanta complex. We would definitely choose to stay here again on a future trip to the Riviera Maya!

We loved our stay at jungala! The grounds are beautiful, with a very relaxing vibe. The suites are spacious & tastefully decorated with just about every amenity you would need. The staff was attentive to our every need. We had access to the other hotels & pools on the vidante property. We would definitely return here on a future trip to playa del Carmen

Our stay at Vidanta Resort World was a great experience. The complex is beautiful and very well maintained, though we didn’t have enough time to explore everything it offers.
The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable.
The staff was incredibly well training to host making us feeling very special greeting us by names and always showing they were ready for anything we needed.
We had dinner at Havana Moon; the food was basic, but the atmosphere was fun. Later, we discovered an outdoor market-style dining area with several options and a much nicer ambiance, which we wish we had known about earlier.
Having an Exclusive type of bracelet status, truly enhanced our stay, with access to a beach club cabana and a very convenient driver service available via WhatsApp at any time. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return with more time to explore the resort.
Overall, we really loved our stay at Vidanta Resort World. The scale, comfort, service, and exclusivity made it a memorable experience, even in a short visit. With more time, this resort clearly has so much more to offer.

great place, great quality food/beverage, great facilities, lots of attentive staff. only criticism is the lack of information on the facilities, activities, and logistics. We had a personal concierge group, but often times what they told us was not accurate. example: the Beach Club is by far the nicest pool, yet I asked 3 different person concierges on how to get a cabana and was told 3 different things. so had to figure it out on my own. again, overall great, just think the staff needs to know more about the hotel and what/how to recommend. thanks

My stay at Jungala was excellent. They assisted me with transportation from/to the airport. The attentiveness of the entire staff was impressive. Everyone was friendly. The concierge staff at Jungala is professional and helpful. Having a private shuttle sent to transport me between resort destinations is a nice benefit to staying at Jungala. The beach club and waterpark are both very nice. My favorite experience was attending Cirque de Soliel: Joya. The show was the highlight of my stay and I would attend it again. I want to offer a special thank you to one of the concierges, Lizet. It was raining heavily one afternoon and I was bored in my room. I went downstairs and Lizet was kind enough to chat with me for about 15 minutes until the rain stopped. I would definitely visit Jungala again.

Our family of 5 spent 1 week at jungala park hotel and we wish we could have been there more time since the week flew by so fast. The property is huge but the transportation service between buildings makes it all feel small and close. Everyday we had a different meal and we were rarely dissatisfied. The service at jungala park was the best part, it was like something out of a movie with the staff learning all our names and paying extra attention to our young kids.
