Loved my stay! I’m definitely sticking to Iberostar properties and the standards they offer. Just beauty inside and out! Special mention to Bren at the concierge! Beautiful resort but just a bit too much walking. It was way too big to walk every day. They have golf carts but they only come around every 15 min. Not enough food and bars throughout the extended pool areas. Had to go all the way to the ocean to get a burger and fries for lunch. I think one of the biggest disappointments for me was not enough service staff. I am used to going on vacation and having staff get my drink order and tipping them. In the 10 days I was there I saw 1 lady and her main job was to clean up glasses NOT get drink orders. I also noticed long waits in restaurants. Beautiful landscaping but just wish there would have been more ice and drink stands / bars throughout the resort. The maid service was good at making towel animals on the bed but yet left the bathroom mirror dirty and did not refresh towels everyday. Overall happy, plenty of wildlife around but sadly I would not stay here again simply because of size and service staff.

This resort is fantastic. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with rich foliage and wildlife. We enjoyed walking everyday and enjoying the views. We have been to luxury and budget and this was by far our favorite resort. We will definitely be back!

I will never stay at an Iberostar hotel again!
Our first day, we were tricked into being offered a free spa massage & 'VIP' breakfast hinting it was about an Iberostar membership, lasting no longer than an hour.
We were taken to a room where we met Danny and his manager - both pleasant. Then taken to the 'VIP' breakfast. There was nothing VIP about it. It was a huge, busy, & noisy hotel breakfast restaurant with the usual breakfast buffet, where we spent around 45 minutes discussing our previous holidays AND being asked how much these holidays cost. As the room was so busy, the conversation had to be loud, which made me uncomfortable. Not at all private or discreet! I noticed a couple of guests on nearby tables looking around frowning as clearly the conversation was intruding on their breakfast.
Danny gave us a tour of hotels at various Iberostar membership levels, including JOIA.
Then the SELL. We refused two offers so a third pushy salesman was sent. AWFUL!

One male staff member turned up at our door one evening offering drugs! We refused & sent him away.

Finally we were missold 2 excursions by a W2M agent. We didn't bother going on the 3rd. We're corresponding with the headoffice for a refund

Such an incredible stay! We loved this large beautiful resort with so many things to see and do. The food was excellent, Japanese was our favourite. The beach chairs filled up quick so get there early, but lots of room at the pool, We will definitely come back!

We had an amazing time at this resort and made some great memories! David at the member’s beach bar really stood out—his cocktails were delicious, and he made our evenings so enjoyable.

Nathali from the members' area was also wonderful. She was super attentive and really made us feel special.

Omar, the concierge, went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed.

All in all, the staff made our stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend this place!

The grounds are amazing. There is wildlife everywhere. Nice amount of food choices, and it’s all very good. The staff is very helpful and always smiling. The only negative is the resort credit. They only allow you to use the entire credit for an on-site activity if you sit through a timeshare presentation. Otherwise, you get many single-use, non-combinable vouchers for larger purchases. I blame Expedia more than the resort as it is very misleading when you purchase. That said, I would highly recommend the resort.

Stayed 5 nights over Christmas break. Solid all inclusive if you had young kids, we wanted to stay at the Lindo, but the premium was out of whack for the season.
Staff is great, amenities were well appointed and clean, lot of options for pool + beach hangs. Somewhat of a learning curve on restaurant/cabana reservations etc, but the app is helpful to communicate with guest services. Location is great, ~35mins from Cancun airport, 30 mins to PDC and ~1hr to Tulum and attractions like XelHa. Like many all inclusives, got a bit tired of the buffet options and it was impossible to get restaurant spots.Would go back and stay at a higher tier.

The resort is massive! (Big) Bring comfortable shoes or sandals. The room/bathroom was outdated. Beds were too small to fit two adults on one bed. They need at least a queen size bed. Pillows could’ve been a lot more fluffy. The staff were super nice. However, they all give wrong information and have you walking around the resort back and forth like dummies. The restaurant reservations are never available on the mobile app. The concierge only allowed us to do one restaurant reservation the day off. The disco is boring, the DJ allowed young ladies wearing sexy outfits to pick songs to play and were not dancing songs. Not to mention they were dancing all over him in the DJ booth. The disco offers “VIP” tables with a purchase of a Liquor bottle. The liquor is definitely low end alcohol. Captain Morgan and Jose Cuervo for tequila, just an example of what they offer. The pool or beach did not have chairs available after 10am. You definitely need to wake up early and reserve your chairs or rent a cabana in advance for an extra fee. The beach is rocky and not the prettiest beach in the riviera Maya. Big waves in December. The beer at the lobby bar smelled rotten or possibly the cups.. not sure which one it was. The Italian restaurant was under staffed and the hostess did not provide any help to the waiter by simply handing out the menus and welcoming us. Overall, I would not recommend this resort if the above is important to you. There’s many other options. Feel free to ask ?

The staff was incredible and the food was fantastic! The room was good - I found two things which weren't optimal: We had to call the front desk to have them disable the auto room power off feature(s); that system was annoying. We were watching TV and the whole room shut off because someone wasn't moving/walking around the room. Secondly, and most important, the water pressure in the shower was not very strong, at all. It would have been nice to have more water pressure than there was.

The drinks made at the bars were also just okay compared to other places we've stayed at. We are a family of four with two young children and overall it was okay, but the massive resort was a bit much for little legs. Personally would not go back but nothing really negative to say.

We were so warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived at the resort, our room was clean, the staff were so friendly the entire time, everyone was so helpful and accommodating to anything and everything we needed - The water is filtered through the entire Resort and the food was delicious with our favourite à la carte restaurants being the Mediterranean, Japanese, and Italian restaurants. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation, with tons of activities in the resort, a close proximity to all excursions, and overall just needing to vacation away and to feel fully taken care of and relaxed at the end. We absolutely loved it!

The food was good, rooms were ok we paid for an upgrade but come to find out the rooms are the same so that was a waste of money unless you are upgrading to the Beach. The drinks were terrible compared to other resorts we have stayed at in that area. The beach was extremely crowded and there was only one bar and the line would take you 15 min to get even a juice. There was also a line everyday if you were a little later for breakfast or dinner at the buffet. We were there by 8:30 and solid line for the main one. Good thing there was a second one we found and didn’t have to wait long cause our toddler gets impatient. Overall it was not terrible but we won’t be going back to that particular Iberostar we have stayed at many others in the area that have better drinks, no lines for food and a lot less crowded. It was a pretty resort though, I think the resort next door was probably better we went to a show over there and really enjoyed it.

Super happy and helpful staff- only true issue is the “i need to get you into a presentation” hassle. But they’re fully aware it’s an annoyance and if you give slight pushback, they’re more than willing to offer ibeurostar cash you can then use towards amenities and off site activities.
other than that- everything and everyone was truly amazing.
every day they’re doing something to upkeep the property. adorable animals all over. .
!! helpful tip !! we found out too late lol-GOOGLE maps has the resort and can make it easier to find restaurants or areas of the place before you get the lay of the land.

Rate it 4.5, the cons are small complaints. Loved the resort, we had an amazing time. Would go back again to Lindo/Maya.

Pro:
-Buffet food is yummy with lots of variety and guac.
-Lots of night entertainment options.
-Room clean and good a/c.
-Lots of walking, only wait 5-10 mins for golf cart.
-Beach is beautiful and clean.
-1hr included Kayak/SUP, cost $20US insurance for the week
-Aquafit, beach games, gym were great
-Service amazing.

Con:
-Buffet is outside, hot and lots of mosquitos. Bring bug spray!
-Book a la carte reservations on app at 7am day of or walk in restaurants could have a waitlist.
-Coatis out of control, don’t feed them or eat at the beach.
-There was often a mix up with buffet nights compared to app.
-We did the VIP breakfast and received 50$US towards excursion, be prepared they are very pushy.

A la cartes:
-Smoke house: wouldn’t recommend. chicken thighs ok, desserts were good
-Mediterranean: apps and dessert good
-Hacienda: Really good, similar food as Mexican buffet night.
-French: Must go!

Buckle in for a honest review from someone who visits a lot of resorts (with the wife and one 16 year old.

The property is massive. I had a 10 minute walk to the beach from my room. They have golf cart shuttles running around. A lot are nice and pick you up, a couple will run you over when you try to hitch a ride.

The property grounds are a beautiful jungle setting and well maintained.

I stayed at beach / del mar side (poor people side).

Check in was normal, then to the \"concierge\" to \"learn\" about the property. All they want is to get you into a time share meeting. They will waste all you time until you get up a leave.

The rooms are showing their age (showers are worn, leaking, tub was cracked, inches of caulk covering everything)

All the restaurants are outside, Jungle mosquitos. Dinner buffet is for the mosquitos to eat you, not so you can eat the buffet.

We liked the food. we mainly stayed with the buffet. Lots of bacon, eggs, guacamole, and well marinated meats. (and rabbit food)

Hit or miss is the theme of this resort. Sometimes the waiters were awesome. Several times I had to get up and get my own water from the waiter stand(after waiting 10 minutes and eating half my food)

Lots of entertainment and they include everyone (most of the time) They did ignore our request to join once and went out and gathered Spanish speaking families instead.

The tiers of the hotel is just petty. They won't even give you mosquito repellent unless you upgrade.

The hotel was lovely, a touch of authenticity with beautifully painted buildings. The room was very spacious and it had both AC and celeing fan, which were both so useful, but not aggressive.

Walking through the jungle to get to the beach was our favourite part of the day. The food was great and the buffet was stunning, truly surprised with the quality and variety of food.

There were also wild coatis and iguanas all around the property making it fun to try and spot them. Had a lovely time overall.

My wife wasn’t admitted at the buffet, the woman in charge says to us that my wife dress a swim wear and is a lie my wife was dressed with a white pans and a white top, we go out for dinner on Sunday to Playa Del Carmen and we was able to enter to a restaurant with the same wear, we also see a man with a shirt in the restaurant and we ask for the dress code and nobody was able to show it to us, is the first time we pass by this, even customer relationship person try to cover their co-workers at the restaurant

The hotel is beautiful, its people are friendly, and the food is delicious. The problem was with the room. On the first day, we asked to be moved, thinking the air conditioning was broken. They moved us, but the other room was the same. The engineering team came and checked, but nothing improved. In short, the heat was intense in the Mayan region, and the room gave us no relief. Also, the bed frame was very high, and we struggled to get in and out, afraid of falling. It is unfortunate because what ruined the experience was the bedroom. I do not recommend it.

Overall, the experience fell short of expectations. The service was underwhelming, and the food left much to be desired. One major disappointment was the pool hours—they close at 7 wPM, which significantly limits evening entertainment. While the resort offers trolley service for transportation, the trolleys were consistently full, leaving us to walk long distances around what is a very large property.

We also saw a few large cockroaches and the poolside bar

This was a beautiful resort. We got to see so much wildlife. One thing that should have been better is the AC—our room was never the correct temperature despite multiple service requests. The main buffet leaves a bit to be desired but the restaurant options for dinner were all impressive. The French restaurant was my favorite!

This was our third time at this resort, but we will probably go somewhere else next time.

The Good: Both the pool and the beach areas are huge, and they have plenty of lounge chairs and shady huts. The bartenders are very friendly, and they make delicious drinks quickly and efficiently. The entertainment team is always great and we have a lot of fun with their games and shows. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are 11/10 clean each day when you return to them.

The Bad: The food has never been great at any of the all-inclusives we have stayed at in the Cancun area. But my wife and I both got food poisoning from the Brazilian restaurant this time, which soured our short trip. Also, we love that there is beautiful wildlife on the resort, like peacocks, flamingos, parrots, and agoutis. But the coatis have visibly multiplied and it is a bit gross seeing them jumping on people's pool towels and digging in the trash cans.

We love Cancun and we will be back! But perhaps we will spend a bit more next time in an attempt to get higher quality food.

Everything you could ever want is on the property. The staff was amazingly friendly. All the wild animals on the property made it very interesting and fun. Very nice property but well laid out never felt crowded at dinner‘s pool, beach, etc..

This property has open air buffets that can be too hot in 90 degree weather. The beach had so much sargassm no one could get in the ocean. This is my main reason for going is to swim in crystle clear warm ocean. Maybe we should have gotten a notice of this so we could go to another resort.

Love the Staff! Hospitality was a 10/10! Beautiful Area and Landscaping. The room furniture was very outdated and when they mentioned a mini bar in the description it was a small refrigerator with 6 sodas and 2 beers max. This resort was very family oriented and more for couples I wouldn’t recommend it for singles or friend groups. But other than that it was very relaxing and super lowkey not a party resort whatsoever.

Beautiful property and right on the beach. Beautiful pool but we did not spend much time there since always at the beach. Rooms very comfortable and cleaned daily for us. Staff are all very friendly and super helpful. Food was amazing - loved the buffet!! Staff would come out to talk to us in the restaurant and to make sure we were happy. We answered yes it’s amazing!! It’s a large resort but there is transportation within the resort to take around. Highly recommend!!

The property was beautiful…it was so lush and green and well cared for. I loved all the animals that roamed free, especially the pink flamingos and the peacocks that gave us great entertainment. I found the shops, however, incredibly expensive. I had to spend $28 USD on some sunscreen and I would’ve bought a pair of flip-flops but they were US$72! Way too much!

I travel to this area every year and this has been my disappointing stay. The food options are very poor and do not offer food during the hours of 11am-1pm unless you go to the snack bar on the beach. The rooms are outdated and bathroom pipe broke. Get ready to carry around a glass water bottle during your stay only to pray and hope the nearest water dispenser actually works.

We lived the gardens, vegetation, grounds and beautiful quiet pool area by the waterfall. At that end it's very quiet. Our premium garden view from our room in building 36 was perfect. Food was excellent and service was good.
