Secrets Maroma is an amazing resort. The staff is top knock and keep the place humming. Seamlessly setting up the various events and preparing delicious food. You feel like royalty having their help and kindness at any moment.

The facilities, pool and beach are flawless, clean and new. Rooms are amazing. Swim out rooms look cool.

After loads of research I chose this resort based on my price point and the best food. Secretes totally delivered. Spa was incredible.

Be ready for the timeshare breakfast with extra free stuff. Dodge it if you value your time and mood.

This place is world class. Stop researching and start relaxing.

A special shout out to Marcelo who was our preferred concierge in building # 27, super helpful and professional as well to Andres at the Coco Cafe for the great coffee and sandwiches , Margarita who took care of us at the preferred breakfast every morning, Nicoletta at the El Patio restaurant who greeted us for supper.

We stayed in an ocean front honeymoon suite on the 3 rd floor in building #27 with an amazing view. Most likely one of the nicest rooms in the entire resort. Thanks 👍

I have stayed at a few Secrets and was beyond impressed with this location! The staff were
absolutely fantastic as well as every single bite of food… And we ate a lot!! The entertainment never slowed down, but it never fell over overwhelming. We had the perfect balance of relaxation and excitement

I highly recommend upgrading to a preferred suite as the amenities are worth the extra cost (this goes for all Secrets). The room was perfection (added bonus: we randomly got upgraded to a PH suite!!) and the turndown service didn't waste any time. Our room was immaculate from beginning to end

The beach was stunning! Even with it being a red flag during our stay, the seaweed was kept to a minimum which was great. I've stated places where they did not keep up with it, and the smell can definitely ruin the atmosphere.

The entertainment shows were also absolutely incredible! It felt like we were at a live AGT show.

If you are looking for an all-inclusive stay that takes care of you without the hassle of planning. I highly recommend Secrets, Maroma!

It was probably one of the worst experience I ever had. It started with the reservation department, I was trying to book secrets moxche, as we already had one room book there, I clicked on the Marina beach. I called right away within a few minutes to cancel but was denied after repeated attempts. Half of our family stayed at Secrets Moxche while other half stayed at Marina beach. On top of that the food was terrible and if a 3 star quality. I would have been better staying at one of Rue hotels with less than half of the price then staying at Marina beach.

Resort itself is far from a 5 star, the beach is but not the resort. Service, food, staff (except for a few like concierge in building 21 and bar manager) are unprofessional to say the least. Grounds are well kept but way too old to call themselves a luxury 5 star. Anyway its all a \"secret\" until you visit it.

We will not be returning to the Secret Maroma. There are too many other much more modern options for the same price point.

We had a generally very nice stay at this resort. The rooms were excellent, comfortable, well designed, and beautifully maintained.and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and upscale.

However, a couple of issues took away from the experience. The concierge assigned to our room was often unavailable and slow to respond via text, which made it difficult to get timely answers to simple questions. For a resort of this caliber, the level of responsiveness was disappointing.

The more significant issue was our experience at the French restaurant. I was asked to leave because I was wearing nice dress shorts and a collared shirt that apparently did not meet the dress code. While dress codes are understandable, the way this was handled was not. We were never informed of the dress code when we put our name in, when I checked on our wait 45 minutes later, when we arrived, when we were seated, or even when menus were handed to us. Only after all of that were we told we could not stay, publicly and in front of other diners, which was embarrassing and unnecessary.

Dress code enforcement also felt inconsistent and biased. At breakfast, I was told to change out of a tank top while many women were wearing tank tops or open-shoulder dresses without issue. The same double standard appeared at dinner.

The issue wasn’t the dress code it was poor communication, inconsistent enforcement, and how the situation was handled. With better attention to these details, this resort could be exceptional.

Roberto was our personal concierge who was magnificent along with Dario and Manny on the beach! My wife and I can’t wait to go back! From check in to check out, there is not a single thing I can think of that was not beyond exceptional.
Also, the spa needs to be on your must do list. Lilly was amazing! Such a wonderful resort! Best vacation!!!!!

In my opinion, this resort does not meet five-star standards. While the property offers an all-inclusive experience, the overall quality feels average and seems to cater to an older
demographic.
Pros:
Very clean, well-maintained grounds
Beautiful beach
Two strong dining options: Oceana and Seaside Grill
Excellent and reliable housekeeping
Cons:
The resort is dated with visible wear
Rooms have older finishes and uncomfortable bedding
Food quality is generally bland and below expectations, aside from the two better restaurants
Some staff members lacked professionalism, which was disappointing given the price point.

The only drawbacks were the restaurant was under renovation at the time and we were having breakfast in the ballroom throughout our stay. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay.
The location was perfect — close to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport. I also appreciated the delicious breakfast buffet each morning, which offered plenty of fresh and tasty options.

We had an ocean front VIP room on the 2nd floor. We have traveled many resorts. The reviews rave about the beach, food and employees. We agree 100%. My husband rarely voices a strong opinion, but shares we will definitely be back. From the arrival, VIP check in, to our concierge, Marcelo Lagunes. (No suprise he won an employee award when we were there). Worth every penny we spent for this trip. I recommend going if you want an amazing time. Drink service was always available at the pool and beach. All ages at the resort. Everyone very respectful, having a great time. Will definitely play the mini golf next time. The emplotees were great at making people feel welcome to.play beach volleyball, go on the kayaks. (With no pressure) Pool games section, without disturbthe relaxing areas. I can hardly wait to book again.

Room cleaned late everyday but every single person was nice. The hibachi restaurant opened late, left us outside with the mosquitoes, and gave a tablespoon of rice and vegetables. Needed access to golf carts and the Boudreaux food was very subpar but staff was nice.

First the bad and this is why we will never return to this resort.
This resort could have been literally in the middle of the desert and it wouldn’t have made any difference. It is a stamped out Hyatt(which I didn’t know before I got there)
There was no local culture or theme in the rooms. The only culture was the buffet where they have some Mexican dishes.

This resort was advertised as all-inclusive, 5 star resort, HA! No way! No alcohol in the rooms, ok a couple of mini-beers and a bunch of soda. You could get top shelf at the outside bars. The beef at all restaurants was so tough that I stopped ordering it and sent it all back, prime rib was tasteless and tough, rib eye had gristle and no taste. When I brought it up to management and suggested they get a better cut of meat, the response was “ we’ll have them soak it in pineapple juice longer” not hey, for $700+/day, you’re right, we can do better. Anyway the whole, all inclusive was very disappointing and did not meet the standard of other 5 star all inclusive I have been to.

Swim up bar was nice although some of the underwater barstools are showing signs of rusting and staining the pool.
Room and room staff was amazing. Turn down service and cleaning was top notch.
Spa was WAAAAAY overpriced, $250USD/hr for a massage? That said the amenities were very nice. Hydrotherapy, sauna, and steam room were all very nice as were the lay out and staff

Huge thanks to all team staff for their friendliest from arriving to leaving and for going above and beyond. They all made my stay extra special and always being helpful and providing fantastic service in all aspects. Rooms were nice and clean. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the breakfast food and even had to skip it until the dinner option dining would open. My biggest recommendation is don’t eat their mushrooms as it might make you feel sick overtime.

The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. Everyone treated us so kindly. The food can be hit or miss but that's somewhat expected at an all inclusive resort. The \"Preferred\" upgrade has nicer rooms, butler service and upscale beach and bar/dining options. I recommend the upgrade.

The ocean view rooms are pretty far from the ocean and partially obscured by the palm trees.

Secrets Maroma Beach was an amazing experience. I haven’t been on vacation in awhile, but for my first time back I was blown away by the staff, food, beaches, and spa treatments. Couldn’t have asked for a better concierge than “Mr Roger” as he made sure everything was great everyday.

I have one complaint, I sent an e mail a week before arrival requesting to be in building 26 we booked preferred swim out, on arrival on September 6, 2PM , the gentleman on preferred check in asked me if I want to upgrade up and pay $300 which I declined and I mentioned to him that his letter given to me few minutes earlier indicating we are gold status and entitled to free upgrade if available and obviously there was availability and I requested building 26 a week earlier, he said not available so I asked for building 25 as those buildings close to the preferred restaurant, bar , lounge and preferred beach area and because there will be shade in the swim out in the afternoon , he said 25 is available, we went to lunch then received a call that our room in building 16 which the other side of the resort away from the preferred area and were we stayed
I appreciate a response from the manager
