The rooms were beautiful. The property was amazing. Everything about this place was great. Staff members were super helpful, happy, and friendly. Highly recommend the place.

Long story but, I originally only planned on staying here for the last night of our vacation (Sunday night, leave Monday) but, due to weather issues back at home. I couldn’t get a flight home until Thursday. Luckily this place has availability to extend my stay. Very helpful in a tough situation.

We did one of the garden rooms the first night without all inclusive (again was supposed to be just one night). We loved the first floor level especially for the four year old. He could just walk out and enjoy the lawn between the pool. Very easy location for the kids without having to deal with an elevator. Remaining nights we had a one bedroom with a king and pull out couch. It was huge. Beautiful spot. We ended up doing the all inclusive for remaining stay and that was a good call. The property is kind of isolated and far from the main part of Cancun so, you are kind of forced to eat on site. However, there are so many food options that are really good.

Gorgeous room and property. The staff was always very friendly and eager to help. Food was DELICIOUS. Be sure to make reservations well ahead of time at the restaurants. Also get towels on chairs on the beach or by the pool very early to reserve them. They go quickly. We took the catamaran to Isla which was amazing. We were able to get the VIP discount by enduring the sales pitch. Warning: They push HARD to get you to sign up, and it took up nearly two hours of our morning. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Our group had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the 3-bedroom suite and all-inclusive amenities, including incredible service. The beach was beautiful - and very isolated, so it felt like a private experience from the hustle of the hotel zone. Staff was kind and welcoming everywhere we went. The food was also great - we enjoyed almost all the restaurants during our time there.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The one bedroom suite was huge and absolutely spotless every day, the bed was super comfortable. The food and drinks were delicious at every restaurant including the Bite Bar which is poolside. They delivered all of our lunches to our pool loungers which were padded and very comfy. I can't say enough great things about this great All-In. The staff are friendly and professional. Our room and the property are clean and well maintained. The buffet at Caprichos is awesome and had a lot of vegan options for me, most of the other restaurants had few options but able to accommodate. I loved the gentle music that played on the grounds in the morning, adding to a blissful sunrise. The aquafit class was more fun than I thought it would be. I didn't make a morning yoga class, it would be great if there was an evening yoga class. One of the reasons I booked here was because a ferry to Isla Mujeres is walking distance but I found out the times are very restrictive so we took Ubers to and from Puerto Juarez which were less than $10CDN each way so we could get the ferry that runs every half hour or so. There was a bit of seaweed on the beach but it was cleaned frequently and wasn't a big deal. The sand is beautiful and there is plenty of seating. I would definitely come back and have already recommended to friends. Thanks everyone at Villa del Palmar for such a relaxing vacation.

Housekeeping was impeccable, the servers were attentive and warm, and the entire staff operated at a level of excellence that felt effortless. The service was consistent, genuine, and top-tier across the board.

Marco, Guen. I can't believe how kind these staff can be! They are welcoming, wanting to be friends, and so helpful from the day 1 to the last day. My girlfriend and I stayed for three days (very short trip), but because of their hospitality, we enjoyed 200% at Vila del Palmar. I hope they get the credit for what we've experienced! Room was clean, view was just phenomenal and people were just smiling, laughing and enjoying the moments there.

The property is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. The staff is courteous, attentive, and always willing to help. We especially enjoyed the calm music around the pool in the mornings, which gradually became more lively as the day went on. The rooms are very comfortable, and the suites with kitchens are beautiful.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. One area for improvement would be the décor and ambience of the Italian restaurant, Davino. Adding placemats, dimming the lighting, and creating a cozier atmosphere would greatly enhance the dining experience. While the food itself was good, the overall setting felt more like a cafeteria than an Italian restaurant, and improved décor would make a big difference.

One final suggestion would be to clarify the $50 USD daily resort credit. In practice, only 20% of the total food, drink, or eligible service bill can be applied per transaction. It would be clearer to state that guests receive a 20% discount on eligible purchases, up to a maximum of $50 per day.

Overall, we had a very good experience and would most likely return.

- the concierge people not willing to give us information about activities without the tour to the next hotel to sell the time share which ruined a part of our trip. Some of them were very aggressive and absolutely rude.

- one night for 9-10hours there was power outage and it kept going off and on making noise for a second a bunch of times at night. Room got warm since there was no AC and loud so we could not sleep well at all but nothing heard from the hotel next morning .

- some of the servers at the pool never came back after we requested to take our orders.

- some of the servers at the restaurants were pushy about tips which made us feel uncomfortable.

- most of people use just one pool there and it’s not that great. Other pools are ‘private to special members’ or ‘adults only’ or too cold.

- the activities at the hotel is very limited and also not worth to try.

We definitely are not coming back to this hotel and would not recommend.

We have stayed here several times and we know what to expect. It’s always clean, the food is all decent. Breakfasts are overpriced at the buffet, but the market will take care of you for a fraction of the price (still overpriced for what it is)

We enjoyed Zama and Divino this time as well as taking an uber into Cancun for a few odd resort meals and to see some culture. Check out Parque las Palapas for some good authentic food options.

I made again, the typical mistake of accepting a mediocre breakfast for listening to a \"membership\" presentation. Despite telling them we are going to say no to any offer, they said it didn't matter, etc. Well, at the last moment, the inevitable hard faces were shown by the sales team, specially a not very nice supervisor who was impolite. What a bad experience! Because of him I will never return nor recommend any of my relatives or friends to go there. He won! :)

My only complaint for an all inclusive hotel is the fact that you get a bill every time that you order something. Although you do not have to pay since it is all inclusive, but you get asked to give a tip.
For me this was so annoying.
Besides that everything was perfect.
If the hotel eliminates this procedure I would return as many times as possible.

The balcony was very spacious in the 1 bedroom condo. We enjoyed meals out there as well as the hammock. The condo itself was spacious and decorated well, with a washer/dryer combo which I really appreciated. Take note, this resort is in Punta Sam not Cancun as advertised. The weather was TERRIBLE and we were forced to spend most of our stay in the condo.

I noticed little small bugs crawling around on the night stands in the bedrooms. And no, I wasn't eating any food in the bedroom. It wasn't a big deal, as I noticed these little bugs crawling around other areas in the resort. I did what I did with the others, killed them with my shoe and kept it moving. Well, it wasn't until I packed my suitcase that I realized these small bugs were crawling everywhere on my suitcase and throughout. The bellman noticed them as well and said they were small ants and they won't hurt anything. I called down to the manager Carlos and they sent him to my room. He insulted me by stating they don't have bugs and I'm must have brought them with me. It was unbelievable. There are bugs everywhere in Mexico. Between the biting flies, mosquitos and apparently ants, I was insulted. Once I showed my displeasure for being insulted the manager tried to say he wasn't trying to insult me while simultaneously telling me they don't have bugs. All this while I have video of the little bugs crawling throughout my bag which I had to unpack, shake and repack just minutes before leaving for the airport.

The air conditioning did not work both days. I stayed there and they would not put me in another room or refund my money or even give me compensation of any sorts. I was also placed next to the water tanks, which were loud all day and night. I would stay away from this property until they get new management.

If you are trying to decide where to go for your all-inclusive vacation, look no further. This is the place!
From the moment we arrived, we (regular people) were treated like royalty. We were greeted with cold cloths, sparkling wine, and helpful guidance. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and we communicated that to staff throughout our stay with incredible results.
That initial amazing treatment and level of service continued throughout our four-night stay. Every interaction with staff was warm and responsive. Each day brought a new unexpected kindness. Every restaurant did a superb job of recognizing the celebratory event and adding personal flair to our experience. This experience exceeded expectations that we didn't even know existed.
We are exceedingly grateful to the management and employees at Villa Del Palmar for making this occasion even more special than we had hoped. The resort was clean - from the rooms to the pool and beach ! The food was good , it just took a while to figure out what worked well for us. The breakfast was 10/10 , sooo many options & kid approved. It was noted to us that we came during a less crowded tourist time (mid August) so just a small tip. This is a more secluded hotel - not in Hotel Zone but you can take taxis around Cancun. If you’re looking for partying this may not be the right fit for you. This is a place to unwind, be with family & friends. We will DEFINITELY be coming back !

From check-in to check-out the entire experience with this hotel was excellent. We traveled with our kids so we had 3 rooms. 2 of the rooms were upgraded to suites free of charge and they made a point to put all of us on the same floor close to each other without us even asking. The food was delicious with multiple dining options. The only complaint we have is that the dinner buffet was closed 3 nights in a row but we were able to get into the other restaurants without any problems. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff very friendly.

What an amazing resort experience! Everything from the food to the service to the rooms was top-notch. Our room was cleaned daily, and one of the best perks was being able to order lunch and drinks right from the pool.

The beach is just steps away, and it was well maintained. They cleared the seaweed daily,ñ.

We chose the all-inclusive package, and if you're someone who loves to eat and drink (like we do!), it’s 100% worth it. They still provide receipts showing what you would’ve paid without it, and every one of ours said “covered - AI,” which was super reassuring. We had no surprises at checkout.

A tip: follow the advice in other reviews and book your dinner reservations early. The restaurants fill up fast. All are great! You can’t go wrong with any of them.

I’ve stayed at two other resorts in Cancun, and the food here is the best by far. The steaks are not dry. The food has flavor. The drinks are not watered down.

I also loved the free water activities. They offered paddle boards and kayaks, and it was such a fun and easy way to enjoy the water.

This is a family resort. There is no nigh lot time entertainment but they do provide an itinerary of pool activities. They play some music on occasions but it’s not a party hotel. Which we didn’t mind at all!!

This place is officially on my repeat list.

El resort es absolutamente hermoso, con varias piscinas para nadar por si las demás están llenas :). El personal es increíblemente atento y amable. Hay cinco restaurantes en el resort para elegir, aunque me gustaría que la comida mexicana fuera más auténtica, pero entiendo que hay gente y turistas de Estados Unidos de visita y la comida esta hecha a su medida. Sin embargo, fue un resort muy bonito!

We have stayed at Villa Del Palmar every time we’ve visited Cancun — three times now — but unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. Compared to our previous visits, the quality of service at the restaurants has noticeably declined, while prices have increased significantly. For what they charge, the food is just average at best, which makes it feel like poor value overall.

Another thing that stood out was how the welcome has changed. We used to be greeted with a fun, tropical piña colada when we arrived — now it’s just a glass of champagne. It’s a small touch, but it felt more special and fitting for a beach resort before.

We also noticed changes in the in-room snacks available for purchase. We asked why the selection now includes things like salt and vinegar chips and Snickers bars instead of more local treats, and we were told it was because some guests complained. All I have to say is, if you’re coming to Mexico, you should expect — and want — to be immersed in Mexican culture, food, and flavors. There’s no need to Americanize everything.

Another major frustration was the local transportation situation. Cancun basically requires tourists to use their regulated taxi system if you don’t have your own transportation, and the prices are outrageous. We were charged $25 just to get to the ferry terminal for Isla Mujeres, while an Uber would have cost about $6.25 USD. When we asked about ordering an Uber, we were told we could, but only if we waited for it
