My fiancé and I stayed at Atelier and it was absolutely AMAZING! Truly the best all-inclusive food I’ve ever had. The service was also incredible. In particular, we had so much fun with Miguel when we were enjoying drinks and food in the beach area — he was always anticipating whatever we needed before we even asked! He and Andres were so kind and attentive, especially since I was practicing my Spanish.

We also had an amazing time at the bars around the hotel. El Cielo was incredible, and Alberto, Danilo, and Karen took such great care of my fiancé and me during our visit up there. They were truly wonderful.

This was easily the best food and service I’ve experienced at an all-inclusive resort. I’m so grateful to the staff for making our stay so special and for giving me such a great opportunity to practice Spanish. We can’t wait to come back! 💛

Great food and clean rooms, but power went out, room cleaning was hard to schedule and have completed within 6 hours, food took 30-40 minutes, drinks at the bar were 5-10 minutes, and it was hard to get water bottles delivered (usually had to ask a few times)

I cannot say enough about Atelier! We have been to Mexico roughly 20 times but this was our first stay at this resort, and it did not disappoint. Resort was impeccable, rooms were beautiful (my favorite of any resort I’ve stayed at) and the service was phenomenal. I wish I would have wrote down more names to shout out, but I did want to give a special review of our pool server, Damarys, who could not have been more outstanding!! She was so unbelievably accommodating and sweet to our entire group. We did not want to leave her!! Thank you to all the unbelievable staff at Atelier! We will be back!

We just spent a week at Atelier Playa Mujeres from January 25–31, 2026, and had the most wonderful time. This was a family trip with my husband, sister, and mom, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations.

We’ve stayed at three other resorts in Cancun before, and this one is by far the most luxurious. We kept talking about how incredible the food was, and the customer service was outstanding. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, made eye contact, and genuinely seemed happy to help—it really made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

The weather wasn’t ideal (cool and rainy at times), but even that couldn’t take away from the experience. We still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt very well taken care of the entire week.

We also did the hydrotherapy and massage at the spa, and both were excellent—no surprise that they’ve won awards. It was truly a highlight of the trip.

After reading a few one-star reviews here, I honestly feel many of them don’t reflect the reality of this resort. The hotel and staff clearly put in tremendous effort, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional.

I would happily recommend this place to anyone—especially family and friends—and would absolutely love to return.

I really wanted to give it 5 stars. I have stayed here before 2 other times and my experience was wonderful. This trip the room given was not on par with previous experiences. It was in a very noisy part of the hotel. The tub did not appear as clean the soap and essentials was anchored down this is not what I expected. I did not enjoy my stay. I was very disappointed. Was planning to come back a fourth time for my birthday now reconsidering my plans.

Amazing resort!

I had an incredible stay at Atelier and truly loved every minute of it. The property was spotless, with immaculate attention to detail throughout, and my room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The staff were exceptionally friendly, hardworking, and accommodating, always going out of their way to make the experience special. The food was amazing with a wide variety of options to choose from, and every meal exceeded expectations. The beach was clean, quiet, and perfectly relaxing, making it easy to fully unwind. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience—highly recommend, and I would absolutely return without hesitation.

First of all, the foods here are excellent and this is me speaking from trying 9 out of 13 restaurants including the indoor-dining. Also, the staff are wonderful, but English-limited which is kind of expected. I always came back to a sparkling clean room with snacks refilled, bed well- made, towels replaced, soaps and shower caps replaced. Asides from the fact that resort is quite a distance from the airport and not easy to get a ride that goes there, this resort is amazing! I met couples on honeymoon, baby moon etc. I came on a solo trip and I enjoyed it especially with the activities being on time. It was fun to learn about the Mexican culture too! The beach had some seaweed tho (I visited in September 2025). Thankfully, no hurricanes at all. Only saw light rain on one of the mornings and that was it. I shall be back!

Beautiful contemporary hotel. Pools, beach, service, dinner restaurants all outstanding. Large beautifully decorated rooms. Service and cleanliness is excellent.

Inspira upgrade needed to have access to beach bed cabanas, padded beach chairs and separate pool ( which we never used). Also had a \"butler\" who is helpful to get restaurant reservations, hospitality rooms, so we could stay later on our last day.
If you're more of a pool than a beach person Inspira probably not worth it.

I truly can’t put into words how incredible this place is. Of course it was absolutely beautiful with amazing food, but it was the staff that set it above all others. Everybody was caring and attentive from the moment we checked in. Our room was always freshened up (we loved the turn down service) and were always greeted with a smile and hand on heart. A huge shout out to the entire entertainment team who kept my friends and I laughing and vibing the entire time, rain or shine, day and night! We had flown several hours to get there and a thinly veiled “private check in” was really up selling to a 90 minute presentation for a free massage. When we told Cinthia no several times and went to have a drink she chased us over and was very aggressive.

This hotel is amazing!!! The decor is beautiful and blends in with the area. The rooms are spacious and uber clean. That shower gives you the hottest shower ever. The restaurants are so good with the food being amazing!!! The drinks are very good with my favorites coming from the cantina. The star is amazing from the porters to the bartenders to our favorite butler Armando. There is only one downside: there seems to be lower key nightlife. But if you’re all about food, drink, and sun than it’s the place for you!!!

Best all inclusive we've ever been to. Slightly edged our Xcaret Arte. Everything was top notch:

Food: we were able to get into every restaurant we wanted. Takeshi (asian) was our fav. Get the pad thai - best pad thai of my life.

Drinks: every bar and restaurant could make any specialty cocktail you wanted. The liquor was not watered down. Their house wine was good too - no need to buy bottles

Service: everyone that we encountered was very professional and well trained. They were nice, fast and wanted to make sure you had a good time. Shout out to Guadalupe by the pool. She was our favorite on the trip. She was super sweet and kept our pool cocktails full.

Rooms: We were originally in an ocean view room in building 1, above the reception. We had a \"party suite\" above us and you could hear people dragging chairs and tables all night long. After two nights, we asked to be moved. The staff was excellent and moved us to a swim out room in building 2 at no charge. It was fantastic.

Pool: we didn't have any issues getting pool chairs but if you want the double pool beds, you had to get them by 8am. People played the towel game, but it wasn't ever too bad.

Beach: they clean the seaweed off the beach every morning. They have a dozen thatched huts and about 2 dozen chairs by the beach. Beach wasn't ever crowded due to the water being a tad rough. But beautiful and definitely an option.

Staff was hit or miss. On check in the service was poor ( and we checked in at 4PM, not at a night hour), my partner and I had no idea where the amenities/restaurants were on the resort. The resort is fairly large and we spend the entire first day walking around trying to figure out what was what, where was where etc. Only on the second day did someone come to the room to let us know where we could find amenities.

Pool side staff was also hit or miss. Some servers were fantastic, some were borderline rude.

Hosts at restaurants were rude - if you did not have a reservation, even if the restaurant was empty, they would turn you away.

There were also many racoons on the property - when people left their room service out overnight, raccoons would roam the hallways.. not expected of a 5* resort.

We absolutely loved our stay at Atelier. The resort is stunning and clean, the staff are incredibly nice and welcoming, and the food was phenomenal. The experience team (Jonathan, Ethan, Carlos, and Bryan) were great and had fun activities throughout the week, including Spanish classes, water aerobics, a bike experience and several art and painting classes that we really enjoyed. All the restaurants had fresh food that was delicious. Special thank you to David, Jesus, Placido, Alfonso, Adalina, and Erik for their exceptional service. We will be back as this resort is a 10/10

Overall, great hotel amenities and food. The rooms were spacious with a lot of food choices and delicious food. The two stars knocked off is due to the experience our group got from the staff. We felt extremely discriminated due to our race. One of the cafe visits, I asked for an extra espresso shot for one of my drinks and the cafe worker rolled her eyes and sighed at me!! I did not see her doing that to other customers. One other time was during breakfast, we got seated first amongst the tables around us and we were never asked for drink choices while every other table around us had drinks on the table. I had to literally chase them down to even just get water. For being 5 star hotel, I expected better service. I do not book nice hotels to be discriminated just for being the ethnicity I am. Terribly disappointed.

As always, the staff, the pools, the public areas of the resort are absolutely beautiful. Our waiters, Donovan, Christian, Marco are a few of the many great service people who remember you even when they see you outside of setting where they waited on you. Always feel welcome and a part of the family when there. My one complaint is the reservation system for restaurants. This was our 3rd visit and at same time of year and we have never had such difficulty getting reservations. Because we received help from the concierge, we got to eat where we wanted but we should not have had to go through the concierge. In years past we have been able to use the system without difficulty. We heard from multiple folks that they also were frustrated. Also, the consistency of the meal prep needs to be addressed. Some nights great, the same meal the next night was poor. Usually because of poor seasoning, overcooking and even undercooking. We love this place but the food is one of the reasons the Atelier gets such high marks and it needs to be improved.

We had a gluten free diet restriction and dairy free allergy in our travel group. Both felt completely safe and felt wonderful the entire time! The service was excellent! However, the food at the Tekashi castles and the buffet breakfast was disappointing. The pancakes and waffles lacked flavour, and the coffee was quite unsatisfactory. Even the Mongolian and Korean beef tasted similar. The entertainment was rather dull, but an 80s band played at the club on our last night, which was a pleasant change. Having live entertainment at restaurants or clubs could really boost the atmosphere. Overall, the hotel was fantastic.
