Atelier Playa exceeded our expectations. This was our first time at this resort as we usually go to LeBlanc. From the moment we stepped into the property it was great. The property is huge and has many amenities and restaurants. Bring comfy shoes. Making reservation for dinners is highly recommended. It is super clean and comfortable. Staff is excellent and friendly. Because the property is so big and spacious you don't feel it is overwhelming and overcrowded. We mainly stayed at the relaxing pool which is located in building 3. We will be back!!

Atelier was an excellent property for couples and small groups to relax and enjoy a more modern resort. The staff was fantastic and attended to our needs at every turn. The pool experience was very nice although I would recommend a more diverse selection of popular music. The drinks were top notch and creative and the poolside service was consistent even as more guests arrived later in our stay. The restaurants were also a plus with the Italian and Asian cuisine being our favorite. The beach was well maintained despite this time of year being a terrible time for sargaso. Staff raked the beach daily and trucks cleared most of the remaining seaweed. This not the clearest or most beautiful beach we have seen but I imagine that Nov through March is perfect. The rooms were spacious with nice showers and separate toilet. The bed was comfortable and there was turn down service each evening where staff would neatly arrange our room and provide fresh towels, robes and slippers. Please note this is not the most lively resort as far as entertainment although the disco provides that option each night. The pool has standard games, contests, and water aerobics through the day but does not feel like a day party! Overall, we highly recommend and will likely be back.

We had an amazing 5 night stay. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our suite came with everything we needed including bug spray - even though I didn't see a single mosquito on the trip. I loved the spa hydrotherapy and had the best massage ever. Not to mention the food was delicious and I really appreciated the options and variety. We will be coming back!

Beautiful all inclusive resort with incredible food and endless dining options! Some really fun activities, especially in the evenings (silent disco, acrobatics show). Spa is not included which is fine but it’s insanely pricey. Check in and check out processes took a little longer than usual. Otherwise had a really lovely time!

ATELIER Playa Mujeres was an amazing experience from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, modern, and very well maintained. We stayed in a swim-up suite and absolutely loved it—it was one of our favorite parts of the trip and made the stay feel extra relaxing.

We also had INSPIRA, which made the experience even better and added a really special touch. The service was outstanding, everyone was welcoming and attentive, and the food was excellent.

The beach itself is beautiful, although there was some sargassum during our stay. Even with that, the overall experience was incredible. Between the swim-up suite, amazing dining, and the atmosphere throughout the resort, it was a truly memorable stay and we would absolutely come back.

We had the most amazing time at Atelier! We’ve been home for 3 weeks and are still talking about it constantly! Octavio was so sweet & made wonderful drinks at the Don Fernando lobby bar! Jose the bartender in La Cantina was so sweet & fun! The 90s party was a blast! All of the staff at El Suspiro were wonderful each time we went! Angel, the bartender at the beach front Inspira pool, was mixing up amazing drinks & was very nice! Our Inspira butlers, Aline & Martin, were top notch—so helpful & kind! We had great food at many restaurants—our favorites were El Suspiro, Takeshi, Limon Y Sal—so good!!
This was such a relaxing yet fun trip. We cannot wait to return. Highly recommend!

Went in May 2026 and was impressed with the hotel appearance but you learn things after the fact. A few reasons I will not return: you have to reserve dinner times on their app(max 2 days in advance), problem is between 6-9pm they are booked up by the members who have first priority. The restaurants are slow to serve food so you will be there over 2 hours. Restaurants: Steakhouse 9/10, Seafood 8/10, Mediterranean 8/10, Italian 5/10, Japanese 5/10, breakfast / lunch buffet 6/10. Went to Isla Mujeres for Mexican food so can’t rate theirs. Inconsistent food, one day lobster overcooked next visit is raw in the middle. Steak medium (their term for medium rare) sometimes perfect, sometimes raw chewy. They just can’t cook broccoli through unless asked several times. Buffet serves Turkey ham from a can, breakfast sausage has no flavor, French toast/pancakes, waffles are bland. Grand Palace/Hard Rock Punta Cana/ Xcaret Arte have just as good or better food. Sushi is sliced very thin like paper. I had to order 8 orders of tuna to get a normal portion (service was slow). Chewy rice with sushi rolls. Italian desserts are bland. The coffee shops have good coffee, the restaurants not. The fish is very good at most all places (grouper, sea bass, salmon, tuna) and room service food is good although sometimes orders get mixed up(order 2 plates get 1 or order 3 eggs get 2). Sauces are hit and miss. Most all cocktails are excellent if you keep an eye out and confirm they are using top shelf

10/10, incredible all around. I can’t say enough positive things about the staff! They are so kind, helpful, and attentive.

My husband and I were here on our honeymoon. We’ve been to other all-inclusives where the vibe was just off (other places can feel too loud, too crowded, or too quiet). This is not the case here, it’s the perfect blend. There are quieter options for when you want a relaxing time, there are more energetic options with entertainment that’s not cheesy, and there’s even night life!

The best food we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive. Every place we went for a meal we were more and more impressed. The bartenders are soo knowledgeable too and made us some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had.

We’re already trying to plan our trip to return!

Beautiful adults only resort with excellent restaurants. The suites had an abundance of snacks and drinks, the air conditioning was perfect, the view was unbeatable. El Cielo rooftop pool was our favorite place to hang out. Only drawback was the seaweed the storms brought into the shoreline. If you appreciate the at of food, you have to go to Maria Dolores. We went twice. It was wonderful. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

My girlfriend and I just got back from and needless to say it was the best all-inclusive resort I have stayed at. What stuck out to me the most was how efficient the staff was especially by the pool. One of the workers literally brought two loungers from the other side of the pool and gave us his personal umbrella because the pool was crowded, and asked us where we wanted it. Also all of the staff carry a great attitude. One of the staff members said he valued a great customer experience over a tip when I told him I didn’t have cash. Overall, me and my girlfriend always felt prioritized and attended. Combined with the awesome amenities I give a solid 10/10.

The only con was the chair set up on the non-Inspira beach. They need more palapas! The two rows of front row chairs are way too close for comfort with other guests, and were never full. It would be be better to get rid of those there and add palapas!

We just returned from a wonderful stay. The service at the pool and the beach was amazing! A breakfast buffet at Mercado 19 like I've never seen! The room was great too. The only complaint, if you can call it that, was with the ocean view. Although we paid for the ocean view, it was more of golf course view with an ocean glimpse! That being said, we can't wait to return!!

Would never return, the food was straight up bad and we were left so confused that that had been a highlight from so many reviews.
Super well traveled and honestly just so disappointing. Paid SO much and upgraded to the “inspira” the “butlers” did literally not one thing.. the couldn’t even restock our mini fridge and my mom was left trying to get into the room waiting for help for an hour. This is the first negative review I’ve ever posted… we were just confused it felt like a scam. Everyone was super friendly and the hotel lobby is beautiful. But I would 1000% save money and go elsewhere

Atelier is the perfect hotel for a great getaway. This is my second time here, and honestly, I don’t think any other hotel can top my experience. Everything about Atelier is amazing the food, the restaurants, the activities, the drinks, and the service.

I want to give a big shoutout to Marcos and Jesus, who were the perfect servers by the pool always very attentive and on top of bringing us our drinks. We also want to thank the Arts & Experience team for keeping us entertained by the pool. They are all amazing Brandom has such a great personality, and Jessie and Corina are so sweet and kind.

We took a piñata class and attended some evening events, which made the experience even more special. This place is exactly what you need to disconnect and have an amazing time...

My fiancé and I stayed at Atelier and it was absolutely AMAZING! Truly the best all-inclusive food I’ve ever had. The service was also incredible. In particular, we had so much fun with Miguel when we were enjoying drinks and food in the beach area — he was always anticipating whatever we needed before we even asked! He and Andres were so kind and attentive, especially since I was practicing my Spanish.

We also had an amazing time at the bars around the hotel. El Cielo was incredible, and Alberto, Danilo, and Karen took such great care of my fiancé and me during our visit up there. They were truly wonderful.

This was easily the best food and service I’ve experienced at an all-inclusive resort. I’m so grateful to the staff for making our stay so special and for giving me such a great opportunity to practice Spanish. We can’t wait to come back! 💛

I cannot say enough about Atelier! We have been to Mexico roughly 20 times but this was our first stay at this resort, and it did not disappoint. Resort was impeccable, rooms were beautiful (my favorite of any resort I’ve stayed at) and the service was phenomenal. I wish I would have wrote down more names to shout out, but I did want to give a special review of our pool server, Damarys, who could not have been more outstanding!! She was so unbelievably accommodating and sweet to our entire group. We did not want to leave her!! Thank you to all the unbelievable staff at Atelier! We will be back!

We just spent a week at Atelier Playa Mujeres from January 25–31, 2026, and had the most wonderful time. This was a family trip with my husband, sister, and mom, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations.

We’ve stayed at three other resorts in Cancun before, and this one is by far the most luxurious. We kept talking about how incredible the food was, and the customer service was outstanding. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, made eye contact, and genuinely seemed happy to help—it really made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.

The weather wasn’t ideal (cool and rainy at times), but even that couldn’t take away from the experience. We still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt very well taken care of the entire week.

We also did the hydrotherapy and massage at the spa, and both were excellent—no surprise that they’ve won awards. It was truly a highlight of the trip.

After reading a few one-star reviews here, I honestly feel many of them don’t reflect the reality of this resort. The hotel and staff clearly put in tremendous effort, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional.

I would happily recommend this place to anyone—especially family and friends—and would absolutely love to return.

I really wanted to give it 5 stars. I have stayed here before 2 other times and my experience was wonderful. This trip the room given was not on par with previous experiences. It was in a very noisy part of the hotel. The tub did not appear as clean the soap and essentials was anchored down this is not what I expected. I did not enjoy my stay. I was very disappointed. Was planning to come back a fourth time for my birthday now reconsidering my plans.

I had an incredible stay at Atelier and truly loved every minute of it. The property was spotless, with immaculate attention to detail throughout, and my room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. The staff were exceptionally friendly, hardworking, and accommodating, always going out of their way to make the experience special. First of all, the foods here are excellent and this is me speaking from trying 9 out of 13 restaurants including the indoor-dining. Also, the staff are wonderful, but English-limited which is kind of expected. I always came back to a sparkling clean room with snacks refilled, bed well- made, towels replaced, soaps and shower caps replaced. Asides from the fact that resort is quite a distance from the airport and not easy to get a ride that goes there, this resort is amazing! I met couples on honeymoon, baby moon etc. I came on a solo trip and I enjoyed it especially with the activities being on time. It was fun to learn about the Mexican culture too! The beach had some seaweed tho (I visited in September 2025). Thankfully, no hurricanes at all. Only saw light rain on one of the mornings and that was it. I shall be back!

Beautiful contemporary hotel. Pools, beach, service, dinner restaurants all outstanding. Large beautifully decorated rooms. Service and cleanliness is excellent.

Inspira upgrade needed to have access to beach bed cabanas, padded beach chairs and separate pool ( which we never used). Also had a \"butler\" who is helpful to get restaurant reservations, hospitality rooms, so we could stay later on our last day.
If you're more of a pool than a beach person Inspira probably not worth it.

Staff was the greatest across the whole resort! Max from El Bar de La Calle was the greatest ever bartender. All the restaurants were great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We could not be any happier with our stay and it really set the bar high for any other hotel to top our experience.
