Honestly was just here to attend a wedding. All food was disgusting not edible….
Pools were dirty and hot and half the staff were rude especially hosts at restaurants. This place is a joke. The resort is big and nice but everyday half the restaurants were closed and the ones that were opened were to busy and you have to wait everyday.
If you are not preferred you can’t go to certain restaurants and bars .

Also Expedia said there’s a resort credit of like $250 ….. that’s not true it’s a scam they break them down $5 a piece and you can only use it for the spa so you have to spend hundreds to get 5 or 10 off.

The place was an actual joke. Had to order dominoes twice and leave the resort 3 times to eat dinner because it’s so nasty and unorganized.

My family hated our trip. Spent over 8k on 5 nights is crazy.

Helpful staff and kind, but not anticipating your needs in a way that would exemplify excellent resort service. Some conflicting information when questions were asked related to dietary restrictions with dining - concierge gave different/unclear answers than the food & beverage director who ultimately had the correct information. The property does have halal chicken supplied throughout the resort which was a huge deciding factor for us choosing this resort/line. The kitchens will even cook food on separate surfaces to avoid contamination; however, the waiters and resort staff+concierge were not educated on this, and it must be coordinated through the F&B director at the beginning of your stay or prior to your stay (through hone or email - highly recommend getting commitments in writing). Cannot be marketed as halal resort due to mixed meats, but the chicken sourced is halal certified and certification can be provided upon request. this information is relevant as of our stay in April 2026 in case they change providers in future - always good to check prior to your stay.

Resort layout 10/10 - isolated areas for whatever experience you're looking for (party vs. family or both!) - kids club was a great experience for our 3 year old. Many kids clubs in cancun resorts start at age four so having a 3.5 year old, the min. age being 3 here was a deciding factor for us. Activities daily that we enjoyed participating in. Overall plan to return in future!!

Superbe endroit avec paysage magnifique sur la mer. Tout le personnel du resort est très chaleureux. Alberto de l'équipe Entertainment a été particulièrement gentil avec nous et Lili au World Café nous a donné un service impeccable tous les jours. Il y a plusieurs piscines selon si vous voulez plus ou moins d'action autour de vous et une section jeux d'eau pour les enfants très bien pour les familles. Je recommande ce resort sans hésitation!

Long and difficult check in, food is not great at all, drinks never taste that good. Long waits for eating dinner bc you can’t make a reservation so be prepared to show up early and wait for very mediocre food.

It was a bad idea to use Expedia. The reason is they give you a basic room and in order to get the full enjoyment you must pay double to get the full experience. The property itself is very nice! It would be better to go through Hyatt directly. When things are not what you expected you have no recourse with Expedia.
I tried to. All Expedia and it is ridiculous! The customer service is on a foreign country!

In addition you will not get your points! They Expedia have a real bait and switch going’ O would be very careful of you use them’

I would Highly recommend the property, but do not book through Expedia.

I enjoyed the beautiful reaches and pools as well as the restaurants and health club. They had one room with cardio equipment and another room with weights.

I had to pay to upgrade to the amenities you would want at a resort like this!

Yes - there is some distance to the ocean, but you can see it. We had a beautiful room close to the beach. Our room was ground level, so obviously not the sweeping views you would get being higher up.

Staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. The only thing that was bothering was their vacation package presentation that took up a 1/2 day of my stay. Over then that everything was top tier. The restaurants were great with food and service. Housekeeping and room service was quick and reliable. Spa treatment were better than expected I would recommend dreams/secrets to anyone staying in Cancun

Room was clean. Pillows are on the thick side so they weren’t comfortable for us but that’s our specific preference. Really appreciate having the steamer for clothing. Products are so/so-tried to save my liquid allowance in my carryon by planning on using the free stuff in the bathroom-my hair was no having it. Pretty drying! Nice full size lotion much needed after days in the sun, cute Nespresso machine, room service window is such a nice touch. AC issue day one but fixed promptly as was any housekeeping request-they were very fast. The restaurants should open a little earlier-5/5:30. Hibachi was six a fun experience for our families. Random but no enough trash cans around the property. Best part of the resort was that it is pretty small and so easy to get to everything. For this reason, it was much less stressful for our older kids and we were able to give them more independence. The moon palace has more amenities, food options and better restaurants (only slightly) but it was worth it for our situation with multiple families and kids.

Room was very nice and spacious. Only thing I would say about the room is the tub on the balcony being cleaner. Buffet was a 5.5/10, not the greatest but not the absolute worst. The restaurants that we were able to try were really good though and service was great at the restaurants. I will say it’s hard to try them all because some are closed on some days and others require reservations and if you don’t have your reservation you end up missing out. Also for men, make sure to take pants with you, that was one thing our group ran into as a problem. They had dress shorts but still were not allowed into some restaurants because of it which was a bummer.

The room was clean and felt very spacious. Our room had a great location, close to the kids pool. The staff were friendly, asked if I need anything before I even knew I needed something. We met no pushy sales people. The food was good at the buffet and the restaurants. The resort and staff were very family friendly. When our daughter couldn't participate in an activity one of the staff members chased us down and suggested an alternative for her. The kids pool was so warm and sheltered from the wind. The icecream / coffee shop was a favourite. The pool side lounge chairs were often full but we could usually find couple if we walked to another pool. The evening shows were amazing! We had a great trip!!

Dreams Playa Mujeres promotes a lazy river in its photos, but it is not accessible to all guests. The lazy river is located in a restricted area, and access requires a significant additional payment. I asked them to add a clear notice on their website where the lazy river is advertised so guests are informed in advance, but they did not do so. If you choose this resort primarily for the lazy river, be prepared to pay at least $2,000 or more for access.

The Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is okay - not great, not bad - just okay; however, considering its billing as a "AAA Four Diamond" resort, it is overall a disappointment.

The main issue is the resort feels like it has too few amenities - not enough a la carte restaurants, insufficient pool-side and beach seating, and too little staff.

Getting into one of the a la carte restaurants requires lining up 20 minutes before they open to ensure you can secure a table. The resort boasts of 6 a la carte specialty restaurants, but every night at least 1 of them is closed and, on some nights, two may be closed. Fail to secure a table and you are forced to eat at the buffet. The buffet is excellent for breakfast, convenient for lunch, and incredibly disappointing for dinner.

It is the same story if you want a pool-side or beach seating - you need to be prepared to get up early as most have been "reserved" by guests by 8 am (though not occupied until much later). The general sentiment among guests we spoke with was the resort needed 25% more lounge chairs generally and even more around the area for young kids.

The staff - while wonderful - are simply insufficient in number to accommodate all guests. The result is a lack of clean towels, uncleared plates and glasses around the pool and the beach areas, and a lack of bar and restaurant staff. The staff are hardworking and delightful - there is just not enough of them.

At first I had miscommunication, but it all worked out! The place is beautiful, the staff is great, quite a bit of things for kids which was great! Food some places were delicious others were typical not bad. The only thing I would say is the Hibachi was preferred guest and then opened to everyone else but not for parties of 12.MTS shuttle services were excellent as well!

This is a multi wedding venue posing as a family resort. There are not 10 restaurants, building 6 is the noisy backdrop for wedding music in your room
until 11pm each night, and only one noisy bar to walk to after 6pm. I was charged $420/night extra bc one son is 14. but we could not go to the French restaurant bc my other son is 8. There are zero places to hang out after 6 as a family, unless you count running around the property to avoid the hordes of vampire mosquitoes. My wife was covered by mosquitoes in 1 minute at the otherwise beautiful spa pool. At least the staff was super friendly, and paying extra for preferred got us a Bali bed and beach chairs every day. Wait, why did I have to pay extra for a beach vacation???

Its the largest resort we've stayed in, so there was a lot more walking than I expected. I loved the fact that there are 5 different pool areas to choose from. Loved the lazy river. Loved the spa experience. Wish maybe 1 more eating area, considering the resort holds a lot of people. Also, maybe consider StarLink satelite for internet in the Prefered Lounge area would be nice.

Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room which was flooded from recent rain. Staff called for cleaning and two women arrived. I asked to be relocated to another room as I was not about to have to deal with flooding should it rain again. Reluctantly, the escort brought us back to the check in desk.

We used Mexico Travel Solutions to pick us up from the airport and take us back to the airport. We had to wait about 40 minutes to get transported to the resort. Shuttle service was early waiting at the resort when we left, we used the shared shuttle. The resort was great. The beach could have been improved, there was alot of seaweed on the beach throughout our stay. Restaurants were good including the buffet. Rooms were big and nice. Overall great resort, we did not travel with children, but we felt resort was very kid friendly with lots of activities for children.

A Deep Decline in Quality – Our Worst Dreams Stay Yet

After many pleasant stays at Dreams Resorts, our recent experience post-Hyatt acquisition was a letdown, especially on my 40th birthday. While the rooms remained clean and spacious, most staff appeared indifferent, and the overall experience was disappointing.

Key Issues:

1. Lack of Poolside Food Service: A major oversight for a five-star resort, requiring inconvenient walks to the buffet or restaurants, especially with young children.

2. Poor Food Quality: Expectations were already low for all-inclusive dining, but the food was often bland or inedible, with long room service waits.

3. Misleading Views: The coveted ocean views in the lobby did not translate to restaurant locations, forcing us to dine indoors away from the scenery.

4. Unsafe Water Slides: Our daughters sustained injuries due to poorly designed splash areas, making them hesitant to enjoy the facilities.

5. Dirty Pools: The pools were poorly maintained; water was often cloudy, and there were hygiene issues noted by guests.

6. Deceptive Timeshare Offers: Timeshare pitches promised "preferred" areas which were disappointing and poorly maintained.

7. Excessive Noise: Loud music from events disrupted our evenings, making rest nearly impossible.

8. Unsafe Excursions: A snorkeling tour organized by the resort posed safety risks, with strong currents endangering guests.

In summary, what was once a reliable choice for family vacations has sharply declined

Everyone was wonderful! My husband lost his nice sunglasses at the airport and concierge helped him find a new pair that wasn’t 300. The kids area was perfect for my kids. We have a 3, 4, and 6 year old. Honestly, plan to book again which I never like to do to experience something new, but it actual gave me a break as a mom.

Food was pretty good, not the best but there were a lot of good options. Hibachi/Fusion, seafood, and Mexican restaurants were the best. Did not try the French restaurant. The buffet was about what you would expect, but always had things that everyone liked.

The property was a bit worn in a few places but it was made up for in cleanliness and service. Housekeeping was great in the room, they seemed to come by a couple times a day and always left the room very nice. We got the cheapest room but it was still very nice, it had everything we needed and a decent sized bathroom and shower.

The pools were okay, the water level was a little low for some reason. There were enough pools that it never felt too crowded. The slides and lazy river were a big hit. Kids loved the smoothie bar and the lazy river was very relaxing. The beach was okay, not perfect but much better than riviera maya. You can actually enjoy the beach here. There were some spots with very little seaweed and clear water, but varied day by day. We did spend a couple hours each day at the beach, the beach bars were very convenient.

The nightly shows were great and were enjoyed by both the kids and parents. Convenient location, about 45 minutes from the airport, and very close to excursions for Isla Mujeres. Water and beach area was nicer than the riviera maya area. The area felt very safe and secluded. I would recommend this resort to families with kids of all ages.

The food was 8/10. The beach was 8/10. There is a lot of walking because this is a big resort, so be prepared for that. Overall, I would recommend this resort again and again.

Wouldn’t return. Too many things need to be fixed. Had some great service from some workers, then some workers did absolutely nothing but ignore things. Food was ok. Places said open, most were closed while we visited. Kids club wasn’t planned out good at all your younger teens were with toddlers. Didn’t even use clubs due to them not wanting to do the baby things. Needs improvement with age appropriate things…. We had an ok time, just wouldn’t ever return.

The staff was very attentive to needs, they were always willing to reach out to offer assistance and provide support during your stay. No matter where you are at on the property, there is an enjoyable view. There are a lot of dining options some are better than others, all inclusive resorts are good on conscience but food could improve- would like to see more frozen beverage options for non-alcohol drinkers at pool bars that are fruit based. We did enjoy our stay! We will surely be back to Mexico!

Our trip started off on bumpy due to the number of large parties at the resort. This made getting into a restaurant for dinner almost impossible. Then we met Onell. Onell went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was not only perfect but also memorable. We have never met a staff member at a resort like Onell. He made sure our family had a perfect dinner every night. Not only did he make sure we had a fantastic dining experience but he also was physically present every evening to make sure all went smoothly. The entertainment staff was amazing. Luigi, Brayan, Antonio and Eduardo brought the fun every single day. They made sure our kids were involved even when there were many high school seniors participating. I cannot say enough about them. This property is a bit pricey compared to other all-inclusives, so we had expected much more. To sum up, food was generally good, but not fabulous all around. We probably had 1 great sandwich and that was it. Drinks were better than the food. Service was very good mostly with the exception of the supervisor during our check-in. He was not patient at all in hearing our concern about the amount due. However, the actual reception rep helping us was very patient and very helpful. The spa steam/sauna area was fine. Lazy river was adequate, nice and quiet because it's hidden away. The bali beds are poorly placed in the Preferred Area laid out in the back of the beach loungers behind the dune, on top of each other, so privacy really. Overall, this is a beautiful property to relax, but again overpriced for just that purpose. Staying here for a wedding was convenient, which what I guess we paid for.

The property is clean and nice maintain, the manager at the lazy river bar was not nice, refused to give a coconut drink to one of my grandchild. We spent $45000 for family of three(10 people), she said one coconut drink per family and gave only one. It was humiliated. The rest of the staff was polite and respectful.

It was very loud partying late at night especially after New Year’s Eve til 3 am.
I couldn’t sleep at all.
If it is adult only resort , then I get it. But this is so called family friendly resort.
Most of the activities are quite far from the resort.
I am going to try other resort next time

Property has a great layout and lots of pools. It has a good set up for couples and families. The resort needs to put some attention to the pools and conditions of the pools. There are many spots where the pools need repair or repairs are failing and create areas where you can get cut.
Tiles are loose and one night a lady tripped and fell to her face as a result.
The food was quite good and the drinks were also made well. The preferred aspect gave us access to the sit down breakfast which was worth it. The lazy river was gross so dont get the upgrade for that alone.
Overall a great time but room for improvement.
