We stayed in block 27. Our balcony had a decent view out to the beach. Overall the resort was great. Food was great, w/ each restaurant offering a good variety. The buffet also changed up the food every day, which was refreshing.
We had booked through Expedia and as such an Expedia Concierge had pre-booked our family of 4 for dinner at each of the restaurants, which worked out great & was one headache we didn't have to worry about. As such, I can't comment on how easy it is to get reservations.
My understanding is that the Adults only side has a heated, pool, but since we were with the kids I can't confirm. The other pools are not heated. There is some debate we saw online about them being 'too cold', but at 28C/82F its refreshing to cool off in the pool or the lazy river. We didn't find it overly 'cold'.
The beach was great as well. Soft sand, clean beachfront. The waves can get a tad big on windy days if you have little ones.
One thing to note is that people looooove to reserve pool chairs and beach chairs. I had to wake up and be down by 7:30 to ensure we got seats by the pool and at the beach. Even then, on at least 1 of the days we were out of luck by the pool.
We did check out the arcade, which seemed a bit pricey for us Canadians ($2USD/ea).
Only downside was our bathroom needed some TLC. Loose fixtures in the shower, toilet door wouldn't latch, some mold in the shower, & water pressure was really weak. One day we were without hot water, but it was fixed by 8pm

I had a wonderful stay and wanted to give a special thank you to Dan and David. They were incredibly helpful and always responded quickly whenever I needed anything. They never hesitated to assist and consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
What meant the most was how they helped make my son’s birthday special during our stay. Their kindness and attentiveness truly made the experience memorable for us. I really appreciate the excellent service and would highly recommend staying here.

The whole family had an amazing time. Our Expedia reps at the hotel made a WhatsApp chat which was extremely convenient. They made dinner reservations for us with the ease of sending a text message and when we had no hot water in our room it was fixed within 30min of letting them know.

We loved our recent stay at PH Cancun in Costa Mujeres. The amazing daily support, care & attention we received from our two Expedia concierge attendants Dana & David were INCREDIBLE! The absolute sweetest & right there to make sure every little detail was exactly to our needs from taking care of my mom on her birthday with cakes, singing, etc to booking us at restaurants & even making sure we had the best coffee every morning in our room! The swimouts here are the best we have had with our own private Cabana & lounge chairs in the swimout (ps: they are not heated howeverrrrr… we stayed in building 30 with lots of sunshine so the water was actually perfect!). And it was right across from the lazy river, the Florider, kids waterpark, hotdog trailer - better than Guy’s burger and fries, and it was close to the beach!
We took in the shows every night and also enjoyed th Fast and th Furious track. They create the coolest video for you! lol we LOVED IT!
We used MTS for our airport transfer and they were also amazing! It was an option to book through the Expedia app. Like our two wonderful concierge attendants, MTS were also in great communication with us for every detail.
Again, so glad we booked another vacation through Expedia. The perks are great!

Our stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton, Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort was unfortunately not ideal.
We stayed in a Junior Suite with a swim-out pool. While the room was okay, it felt much older than expected. The hotel is only about five years old, but the condition of the room made it seem dated and worn.
Dining was also frustrating. We were unable to get dinner reservations before 9:00 PM during our stay, which made evenings inconvenient and less enjoyable.
Safety was another concern. The floors around the pool area are extremely slippery. My husband fell due to how slick the surface was, which was upsetting and concerning.
The most disappointing part of our trip happened when we were forced to extend our stay by one night due to a blizzard in New York that caused all flights to be canceled. We hoped the hotel would assist us in extending our room, especially given the circumstances. Instead, we were told we had to go online ourselves and book another night at full price. We were also required to physically check out of our room and then wait until 3:00 PM to check back in — and we had to move to a different room for that extra night. It was extremely inconvenient and stressful during an already difficult travel situation. The hotel staff offered no meaningful assistance.

The hotel is really good and the staff is very helpful. The buffet has excellent and varied food. The rooms we were given on the second floor (28212) had a strong musty smell; in fact, a member of our family got sick because of it. We reported this to Guess Service and they said they would send a humidifier, but it never arrived. Another issue the hotel needs to address is the lack of bartenders. For example, at the beach bar, as well as at other bars, there are very long lines waiting for drinks.

He set all our dinner reservations and even got us moved for the steakhouse as we ended up renting a cabana and wanted to use it for the full day. We had our own concierge from Expedia. He was very helpful and kind. All the staff were very nice. Our room smelled damp and musky, but we got a dehumidifier to our room as soon as we asked for one. Room was very clean otherwise. We went to two Al a Cartes--Mexian & Italian. The food definitely needs an upgrade. The buffet wasn't too bad. Lots to choose from. My kids favourite was the breakfasts. Coffee is mediocre. We had a great trip and enjoyed the pool and beach areas. On Christmas Day, we went on a catamaran to Ilsa Mejures. It was a lot of fun. My only complaint is they sold me $40 us sunblock, only to find out we weren't snorkeling. That was a waste of money. Would we come back to this resort? If it was cheaper, maybe. We enjoy going to different resorts every year.

During checkout time, front desk told us you can have your stuff in hospitality room until shuttle came and then without informing us they start to dig our stuff & by chance I went back to pick my stuff and I saw they were digging our stuff and I ask them why you are doing this, they told me I think you left the place and I even click the pictures of that staff

We had a group of 15 and they set up a WhatsApp account group chat so we could all communicate with them for whatever we needed. One or both responded immediately every time and they were so helpful for our large group that we couldn't thank them enough!
They made dinner reservations. Cabana reservations. Organized our transportation. And answered every questionwe had.
It saved us so much time and was so easy and we appreciate them so much. Normally you have to go to guest services but José Luis and David were just a message away without having to stop what you're doing to have a question answered.

The overall experience was disappointing for what is supposed to be a 5-star resort. It certainly did not feel like 5 stars at all. The rooms and overall facilities were very rundown (broken old drawers in the rooms) and everything was just very outdated. Service is extremely slow. Getting coffee from the coffee shop took forever considering there is usually only one barista taking and making orders for the entire resort. Room service takes about 2 hours (30 min to process an order and another 1.5hours to deliver). Food was mediocre considering that the best meal I had was at the airport during my entire trip. It was also not the easiest to secure restaurant reservations with there being very little availability. Staff were all very kind and welcoming, and the shows were great to watch. The lazy river was enjoyable, but was usually quite busy and took some time to secure a donut. The overall resort did not meet my expectations especially not for a 5-star hotel. I've stayed at 4-star hotels that were better than this one. Amenities were pretty good for kids, but I probably would not recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury 5-star hotel experience.

I checked in on 16th of November and when I went to room one queen bed is broken and we cannot sleep. I requested to fix that bed as I went with my two of kids, but three days nobody fixed that raised multiple complaints as well as the lady come to clean the rooms. She already did complaints multiple time but nobody fixed after three days. They fix the bed and I’m sleeping with one of my kid on the couch for three days. really bad experience I had.

Everyone was very nice. The pools, and grounds were beautiful. Restaurant food was decent, although I really wanted to get into the Mexican place bc I had been there before- but they never had space for us. The one bd thing about the resort, was the room. Every door was hanging off the hinge, just dangling from the frame. Our bathroom sliding door would only open about 24inches so we had to shimmy through to use the bathroom and had limited privacy.

20 family members joined this yearly trip. My husband, teen child, and myself had reserved a 2-bed junior suite. At arrival I was given a 1 king bed with a pullout sofa bed and was told the following day they would switch me out to a 2-bed suite, which didn't happen. When I pulled out the sofa bed, the sponge mattress was so old and full of hair, particles, and yellow stains. There were no bedding items, which usually they are in the closet. When I called to get the bedding, I was brought 2 sheets. I asked for pillows the lady told me they didn't have any. She later brought me one pillow and said that's all they had. I was so apprehensive of even laying on this sponge even with sheets on it, that I had our teen sleep with us on the bed. It was a very uncomfortable night. That same night we asked for waters in our room, they knocked on our door once and let themselves in when we were walking towards the door to open it. we also had the \"Do Not disturb sign one the door\". Now who does that!! That was a violation of our privacy! The room was dirty with stains on the floor, dead bugs by the bed, and the toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. One of the \"clean\" bath towels had stains. The filtration system is not good, the shower water smelled bad. It had a sewer water smell. This was a complaint from all our family. We all had room issues. It was windy and the wind was whistling through the cracks on the door all night. I could add more, but I'm only allowed an amount of characters.

The money came out of my account and they said it didn’t go thru yet it wasn’t there, called my bank in the us and they said the vendor was holding my funds on the Mexico side and I couldn’t despite the transaction until they process the payment, then the people up front said they “can’t” call the merchant from our side which is totally ridiculous, stayed for a few days and still haven’t received my 650$ back

We stayed 5 nights just my wife and I. It was a fun hotel for sure with a lot of different options for food and activities. The staff when arriving was awesome but disappointed in the staff when we were leaving. Water in the showers smelled and the rust like water came out every morning from the shower head etc. The beach was amazing and the staff for the cabanas were excellent. We enjoyed the lazy River and the downside for food options is you have to book in advance or you won’t have a reservation to eat until 9:00 PM. The buffet is always an option.
